Pleased with Purchase!
I have had little luck with ordering swim suits online. Athleta changed that for me. The bottom fits so well (doesnt ride up) and I love the wide waist band. It does not dig into my waist - that is a first. It addition, the bottom I had originally purchased turned out to be the wrong color to match the top I purchase and Athleta helped with the right color and had it to me the day I needed it (before I left for vacation). I am just as happy with the twistini top I purchased to go with this bottom - awesome support. I will be purchasing from Atlhleta again.
Need to go up a size
I like the bottom... I need to have more coverage and tend to be a bit body shy when it comes to swim suits. I ordered the small bottom and found it to be too small so I exchanged it for a medium and it fit much better!

The bottom of the bathing ... really big, and the fabric isn't very supportive for lap swimming or really exercising in.
way too narrow across front of crotch
I almost loved this bottom. Rear fits my pear shaped rump quite well and the leg cut is a great height for me (5'7", 150lbs, size 10 pants, size L in Athleta suits). But the crotch is simply too narrow across to be flattering in front, exposing too much, erm, thatch. Another 3/4 inch right there and this bottom would be perfect. But alas, it just looks like they tried to save on fabric in the wrong place. Not sure this fit would be good for any body type given the specific cut problem -- possibly less noticeable in smaller sizes? Also: this bottom is a milk chocolate color, it's definitely not the darker cocoa bean of my Athleta tankini tops. Older stock or switch in manufacturers perhaps?
need more coverage
bathing ... bottoms are too skimpy. they sit way too low for my liking. i tried two different styles, not enough coverage in the front for me. wish althleta would offer more of a hipster style bottom- just at or a little below belly button.
Not a good fit
I was hesitant to buy this bottom based on some of the reviews and it is going back. I am 5'5", 120 lbs and typically wear a size 2-4 and bought the small. This bottom made whatever imperfections I have on my lower half into a big muffin top. Thought it would work to smooth but instead pushed everything up and over. May be great for someone in their 20's but not for middle aged women who no longer have a perfect, taut body.
Not a Full Tide bottom
I did not like this bottom at all. It does not fit at all like a Full tide/high tide bottom, of which I own several. It sits too low in the front and the back leaves a lot hanging out this may be good for some, but I like the full coverage Athleta used to offer in the high tide bottoms. I compared the length at the sides of this bottom to my other high tide bottoms, and it is at least a half inch smaller, and the leg is cut much higher. On a positive note, I loved the material and the thickness of the band. Come on Athleta, offer suits for everyone, not just the young girls. This fits more like a medium tide bottom. Very disappointed as I have been waiting for Athleta to offer solid colored bottoms (in black and brown) in a full tide size.
