sooo comfy!
Love these pants. At first I worried they might "flare" out too much but they fit great and the flare was not a problem(I wear both kinds of capris).. were fine for Spin and when it gets a little warmer will be great for running.. didn't want to take them off! I am muscular build( prob 5-10 pounds heavier than I would like to be) 138 lbs; 5'4. the Med fit great.. love the black heather.. I want more!

kick booty comfort and style
I love all the kick booty styles. The bermuda has a looser fit than the rest which is nice for casual/comfort. I love how the styling makes my butt look! I teach strength training and Zumba and these are great for any and all movement classes or anything else you want to do. Very comfortable and also the yoga shorts do not ride up my thighs. I just keep buying more and more basic black to have on hand.

These pants are great
These capris are great. I liked this color/material (heather dark grey) better than just the plain grey or black. I'd definitely recommend!!

love the way these fit
I needed some new workout clothes. This is the first time I've bought anything but NIke, but I was tired of black. Saw these, read reviews and took a chance. I love them! They fit well, yes they make my bottom look good, and they are comfortable. I've worn them spinning, running and to yoga. I am 5'6, over 50, and 135 pounds. The medium fit perfectly.

Super comfy
These pants are super comfy. I bought them to get back into doing pilates, but I love them for around the house too. And I love the heather black color that I chose. Finally I can wear a black t shirt to the gym without looking head to toe black.

great pants!
I was a little skeptical when ordering these because I'm such a fan of the Chaturanga capris that aren't being offered this season. I was pleasantly surprised! Fit is every bit as nice; just not tight at the calf. And it's true what all the other reviewers say they make your butt look great! I'm 5'6" 150 lbs. and medium across the board at Athleta. Got the charcoal heather such a nice alternative to everything black

Great Workout Capri
Love the fabric and fit. The black heather color is a nice alternative and flattering color. I have received several comments on how cute they are. Because they are my new favorite workout capri (I only have one pair....SO FAR) they have been worn and washed a lot and seem to be holding up really well. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to the lower leg fit. The petite seems to be the right length for my short legs, but the slight flare at the bottom seems to make me look stumpy especially with my no show socks and minimalist shoes.

Love them, but, if you sweat a lot...
I wore these to a kickbox class then to an hour training session and they showed just a little too much sweat in areas that weren't the most flattering. I LOVE the fit - they come up higher than a lot of workout pants, which I like. I am ordering the solid black instead. Wish they had worked because I really wanted a different color from black.

#1 problem is between legs
Cons: #1: The way they are sewn in the crotch is unlike any other athletic bottoms I own, and I find it particularly unflattering and uncomfortable. Cannot believe more people didn't say this. #2: the flare is a bit more pronounced than photo. #3 Rise is lower than anticipated, I'm pretty slender and it gives a little muffin top. #4 had a little unraveling happening right out of the box. Pros: As everyone says, they make your butt look good...but at the cost of comfort? no thanks. I love the heathered black, however! As my first purchase from Athleta, I'm definitely disappointed.

Nice fit great for spinning
I bought a pair of these bike ... black about a year ago and they worked great. I needed another pair and bought the grafite color and love the fit and comfort. Some people may not like the thickness of the riding pad but I find it comforting.

Spin Knickers are the Best!!!
These capris are the best I have found. Look great on, not too padded and bulky in the rear. I have been spinning for 6+ years and refuse to buy a pair of biking ... because of the way the look (like you are wearing a diaper). These capris are flattering, fit well and feel great. When I get off my bike there is no embarrassing sweat stain on my crotch either. I like the black and plan to order 2 more pair just to have because I love them so much. My one word to Athlleta...Loose the graphics on the back waistband.

Great Spinning pant
I purchased a pair of these cycling pants to teach an early morning Spinning class, which seques into a 30-minute core workout. They are wonderful. The sham/padding is just enough protection, yet not as bulky as my cycling ... which is nice when we transition into the core part of class. I have them in two colors; the black and asphalt/dark charcoal. No complaints. I am 5'6", 140 pounds, and I purchased a Medium.

Well, the reviews had me nervous! But I was already ordering something else and these were on sale, so I decided to gamble and try them despite all the reviews about the "bunching in the crotch" issue. (Plus, I'd already bought the Spin ... loved them, so I figured I'd be safe with the Capris.) I am SO glad I did! These are very nice cooler weather cycling capris! And I LOVE the gem blue!!! Super cute alternative to the plain, traditional, boring old black. The fabric is nice and thick and the cut is very flattering/slimming. They are just the perfect length! They stay in place and the legs do not ride up or roll. I like the lighter rear padding (not so bulky) for spin class and shorter rides and I do NOT have ANY issue with them bunching up inappropriately or puckering in an unflattering way. (I guess I lucked out, but I own them in two colors now and neither has this problem as described by others.) My favorite feature is the fun "tattoo" across your lower back, just below the rear waistline! So cute! The only problem was that right out of the package, the exposed front seams were ragged and rough (poorly made). I actually couldn't believe they had passed Athleta's quality control! Everything else I own has always been very well made. I would absolutely have sent them back or exchanged them, but I loved the color and there were no more in my size. So... A few minutes of trimming with my fabric shears and now they look perfect! So I kept them and am happy. If it helps, I am (almost) 5'5" and 116 pounds... I measure 25" waist and 36" hips and the XS fits perfectly!

Great for spinning.
I spin a lot but always just wore regular tights. These have more padding so its helpful. They are cute, have good details and are true to size. The bottom at the calves are a little too loose. The waist is a bit low for a spin knicker - we do spend a good amount of time bent over a bike and I feel like I am always checking to see if its riding too low in the back. I got the grey only because they were out of the black in my size, I wish I could have gotten black.

In love with this capri!
The fabric is so lightweight but stretchy so it moves with you. I got these with the intention of being a multi purpose pant and they do not dissapoint. I loved them so much I got 2 colors - the khaki and olive - but I will likely get the black as well. I can wear them to teach fitness classes, then be out and about without looking like I'm wearing my workout clothes. They're also perfect for wearing as a "regular" casual pant and they will probably be in my backpack for our Grand Canyon hike this summer since they are lightweight and dry quickly.

Love this Fabric - Prefer Early Spring Sizing
I live on the shoreline, so this quick dry fabric is great for my lifestyle. I have 3 pairs of these capris, in size 4Tall for my 5'7",130, 37" hip frame. The Early Spring colors of Dolphin and Indigo fit beautifully, but the late spring colors are fitting differently: The waist and hips are bigger, and the side pocket is higher and has more 'pooching' from the pleating. Also the Black is now lined w/ Juniper, which is less versatile than the Early Spring version of Black lined w/Dolphin. I'm keeping the Dawn color in the new cut, but it doesn't fit me as well as the other two do.

Perfect Fabric for Shoreside Living
Fabulous Fit and Styling. 5'7" 130, 36" hips - size 4 Long perfect fit. Love this fabric; don't have to worry about it when it gets wet. Great colors too - except I like the old black w/ asphalt lining better than the black / juniper lining offered this summer. Just more versatile.

Finally. The first capri that makes me look good.
I bought every color except black which disappeared from my cart before I could close the order. I had given up on ever being able to wear capris. Most I tried always made me look overweight and dumpy (5'6" 140lbs muscular with full hips). These make me look slim and are so extremely comfortable. Size M is perfect. The fabric is thin and lightweight which is perfect for the hot Texas summers or any activities where one might exert themselves. Bring on more colors! I will be living in these all through the rest of summer and fall.

Great for SUP
I was on the hunt for stylish bottoms to wear stand up paddling and must have tried on several different capris at another recreational superstore before wandering into an Athleta store and falling in love with these. They were put to the test on a 5-mile river run and dried quickly after water contact. I'm curvy, petite, and typically a size 8 or M but ended up in a size 6. I'm not sure if this is a fluke or not (I bought a black pair). I'll find out when I purchase a pair in Dolphin. The Cute Capri will be great for the days when it's too warm to wear neoprene separates while SUPing or for traveling to warmer climates.

Great!!
These pants are fantastic! I'm 5'6'' about 135 and ordered size 8 (black) and they are perfect. In other Athleta pants I've order size 10, Mediums and sometimes large, so these may run a bit larger than other items. Super light weight, flattering cut, awesome pockets, really comfy as they have some stretch/give to them. I will use these often for just everyday wear. Love them!

Love these, but they have a downside
I absolutely love the fit and style of these capris. They are so comfortable! I bought them in black and the purple color. But... I have washed both of them about 5 times each and the material is starting to get little lint balls. I only washed them in cold water and hung them up to dry. So now I am having to invest in a sweater shaver just to prolong the life of these awesome capris. I am 5'8" and weigh 130 - athletic build.

Comfortable and functional
Athleta never fails to impress. I am 5' 3" 108 lbs and the small fits pretty well with some room to grow. The Kickbooty Bermudas have stood up to some relatively strenuous hiking and climbing and are super comfortable and cool. Black heather is a nice color. I definitely recommend these!

Love Them
I love these shorts. The fact that they are fitted at the waist and loser on the leg balances out my broader shoulders and is quite flattering on me. They actually make my rather flat bootie look good. I am 5'8", 145lb and the medium fit perfectly. I purchased the regular and I am happy with the length. No sweat stains show up on the black - which is a must because I sweat a lot.

Fantastic
Great fit, super comfortable and extremely versatile.Quality is definitely there. I wear a size L in black, but usually buy a size larger when buying lighter colors just to hide some booty imperfections and have a smoother effect. It works. You can't go wrong with owning every color of the Kickbooty Bermuda!!

Love these shorts!
Wanted the Kickbooty shaping benefits in a not too-short pair of shorts for summer gym workouts and Pilates. These fit the bill nicely!! Was a little leery based on some of the previous negative reviews, but as soon as I tried on, no worries!! The shorts provide great coverage, and freedom of movement, yet still flatter. Medium is great for my 5'9" height and 160+ lb frame; I bought in black, now would like to try another color!!

The best yoga short EVER!
I had previously purchased this bermuda short in black and wore them so much I invested in them in gray and olive. Love, Love, Love them!

Good workout shorts
I really like these workout shorts. I'm 5'4", 110lbs, athletic build, ordered an XS and they fit perfectly. The length is perfect on me. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that in my experience Athleta brand black in this fabric fades quite a bit after a few washings.

Nice longer short for workouts!
I have this short in black and functions for my MMaxout class (similar to boot camp :)) . The one complaint is that it does ride up a bit and find myself pulling the shorts down throughout the workout. Fabric is great though. If Athleta offered an alternative bermuda that was simple in design, I'd try it.

best gym shorts
these are the best gym shorts. great fit and not to sort. I have these in three colors and would love more. Athletha is great for stepping outside the black, blue, gray only color choices. Would love some shorts/capris etc in brown, or red. Very nice!

great all around gym shorts
I now have two pairs of these shorts (black and purple) and I love them! I always hope I have a clean pair for the gym when I go to spin or my cardio classes. They are long enough that you don't have to worry about your rear hanging out of them and they are snug enough to wear for intensive cardio or spin class without needing much adjustment. The material is soft but does not show sweat much- can't see anything on the black ones after an hour of spin. The purple ones show sweat a little but not too much. Perfect pair of basic spandex shorts.

Perfect hot yoga short
I was looking for a short for hot/warm yoga and these are PERFECT. They aren't too short around your bum so you don't feel like you're showing too much, but they are short enough to stay cool. Ordered them in black and grey. I now wear them to my regular power flow class b/c they're comfy and fit great!

Very impressed
Love these shorts! I only purchased 1 pair in black as it was on sale and wished I had purchased an extra in another color (I think white was an option). I used these for both Yoga and Running (full marathon trainng runs). These are comfortable, breatheable, & they didn't cling to me. I purchased a large as I am a curvy gal (5'4 140#) and it was perfect.

Comfy, well made, good all around workout short
I purchased these shorts for CrossFit. I am 5'3" and 120 pounds, the medium ran large for me, so I had to replace with a small. Overall this is a great item, you can move freely with minimal riding up. The waist is great because it does not cut in a create a muffin top. I did find on the Med that after I sweat the waist will drop a little, but going with the smaller size should fix the problem. I am sticking with the grey and black because the purple shows sweat. If they offer other darker colors, I will get more.

these shorts really work for me
i got these for yoga and though i don't do hot yoga, i like shorts rather than leggings for warmer days. the shorts are also good for indoor (gym) climbing and for quick bike rides around town. i don't know about the riding up problem since i haven't run in them. they are a perfect fit for me and i love the 5" inseam. i've had shorter and longer shorts in the past and these are a great balance, and they're neither too tight nor too loose. i'm a tall ish size 6 or 8 in athleta, so the medium is wonderful. the waist rise is just right and the wide waistband is comfy and very flattering. the seams on the backside make my butt look better too. and i'm really glad for the "dress blue" since i'm so tired of black and gray (and the pink isn't hot enough for me, a little bubble gummy in my opinion). i would love to see other bright colors, as i'm a bit top heavy and darker pants make me look like i've got no hips or butt at all. not everyone wants the slimming dark look on the bottom. the fabric is substantial enough and i'm sure it will hold up well in the wash (and air dry since we don't have a dryer anyway). nice design which seems to be worth paying full price for.

I love them!
I bought the hotter pink for something other then black. I was pleasantly surprised - the color is great. The inseam is perfect - not too short or too long. They will work nice for biking or running. Very flattering.

Perfect for hot yoga
I purchased these for hot yoga--they stay put through some demanding poses, and the stretchy, wicking fabric keeps me comfortable. I like how they look with my other yoga wear. I often run before yoga class, and wear these shorts because it's convenient to wear the same shorts for both activities, and they are comfortable for running, as well. I own several pair in both graphite and black.

A bit small for me
These are a bit too small. They are still very comfortable, but they are a bit too shiny since they are stretched around my hips and thighs. I can't decide if I just keep them or exchange them for a medium. I am working on losing some weight, and I think once the baby weight is gone, these will fit better. Since I work out at home, I will wear these... But if I had to go to the gym, I'd certainly exchange them for a size bigger. I ordered a Small. I'm 5'2" and about 130, though my "normal" weight is more like 117ish- so I'm hoping that I can get back to that and these will fit a bit looser. I ordered the midnight, and I really like the color. But I would probably have been happier with the black, since it wouldn't be so shiny when stretched.

Love the black ones, returned the gray ones.
I LOVE the black shorts, but the gray shorts have these pockets on the butt that are NOT flattering and were completely unexpected...the black ones are your typical exercise short, smooth in the front and back with great support...the gray ones are another story. While the support is the same, the pockets just threw me off. Some ladies might like pockets in the back to accentuate their rear end...I'm not one of those ladies.

Luv these shorts!
These yoga shorts are really great. They fit snug, without being too tight. This allows for flexibility and modesty while doing my yoga moves. They will also be my go to short for running/playing any summer sports! I ordered these initially in black, and immediately ordered a second pair in gray.

LOVE These shorts
I have been waiting a long time to get a pair of these shorts and I finally have them! The have got to be the most comfortable shorts I own and I just love the way they look! I decided to go out of my usual black and blue color and went for the red! BECAREFUL of the red ones though because I wore them without washing them first with a white tank top and the red color did bleed onto them (and did not quite come out of the tank top). I just washed them and see no sign of anymore bleeding so hopefully just a wash was all they needed!

Love them!
These are the softest, nicest running shorts I have ever owned!! They fit true to size. I got them in black and would love to own more colors!! (Just a bit pricey).

Love these shorts. I ordered a pair in black and liked them so much that I ordered three more pair. I wouldn't mind if they were just a little bit longer but at least they aren't as short as most running shorts. The fit was true to size. They are both comfortable and cute!

LOVE THESE SHORTS
Hopefully they come out with other colors as I ordered the red since most of my running shorts are black or blue. I really like the material and the length as your typical running shorts (for me) are too short..these are perfect! I am 5' 71/2" and 149lbs..I ordered a medium and like how they fit!

Best running shorts I''ve tried so far!
I'm about a size 4 at 5'9 and 145 pounds. Typically I order a medium in bottoms to accommodate my ample hips and butt. I'm definitely a pear shape. I got these in a small based on other reviews, and they fit great. I got the black. Just a few points about them: in the black pair, the brief is lime green. Fine with me.. I just thought I'd mention that. And it is a brief. In the product photo with the two girls running the girl in the blue kind of looks to me like she has a short instead of a brief. I was kind of on the face about buying these because I thought the design on the left looked lame and tribal, like a tacky tattoo, but in person it's more like a cute vine design that I don't mind at all. Now, onto fit. They fit really well. The legs are a bit wide and roomy and not too short at all, and they don't give you that balloon like Hammer pants look that some running shorts do. Most other shorts I have are cut on a curve, so that they're longest at the middle of the thigh and get shorter towards the outside of the leg. This is good for ventilation and movement, but it usually exposes the slight saddlebag look I'm working to get rid of. I have no desire to showcase my cellulite. These are cut straight across and just rounded at the corners, which still creates plenty of moving and breathing room where the corners overlap slightly, but it's a lot more flattering I think. The brief covers my butt well and rides up only slightly on me, which is rare given my small size/big butt combination. It probably wouldn't shift on someone with more average proportions. They also don't give me muffin top, which I think it thanks to a fairly wide waistband elastic. They have a drawstring on the outside too which works well. The fabric is nice and super light, and it doesn't feel like plastic or swish loudly when you move. Overall I love these and I'd like to get another pair.

Not too short, not too long, love these shorts
Comfortable, lightweight fabric, perfect drape,super cute and flattering to my older legs....I wore these to the grocery store after working out and I got several compliments. I bought the purple which is totally out of character for me (I'm usually all about black). I'm ordering the turquoise for summer.

Good go to short
Ordered the medium in black. I am 5'4" and 135# and they are a nice loose fit and are now my favorite. I have not ran in them yet, but so far they are great in the gym and on the eliptical and do not ride up the thigh. The bright green liner is cute and it stays put too.

super cute running short
These are such a cute pair of shorts! I am usually a 6-8 in bottoms, so decided to try the Medium. While I could have worn it, truly it was too large and baggy. I returned it for a Small, which is perfect. I love the bright green panty inside the black shorts - a fun twist. Can't wait to go running this weekend!

GREAT SHORTS!!!!
I LOVE these. I am 5'4" and 110 pounds and the extra smalls fit perfectly. The waist is comfortable and they do not ride up when I run. They are very flattering, fabric is cool and they are not too short. Love the key pocket and the attached panty. I ordered the black and the pink. Definitely one of my best purchases ever from Athleta!

Good basic run shorts
These are nice, basic running shorts. The internal key pocket is helpful, but I wish they had a more substantial zip pocket somewhere, too. Very lightweight fabric, good cut for moving. I am 5'7" 123# and size small fits just slightly loose, which is perfect for me. More colors would be great! Looks like they're only offered in black now.

Interesting note
I have several different colors in these shorts and they are wonderful. Great for running and training. Wonderful length. I am 5'6" and 118 lbs. and I buy the small. I think that it is worth mentioning that the internal lining of these black and white shorts is red.

love these!
I own three pairs of these. Nice silky outer ... matched with a mesh bike ... Love the length and barely there way they feel. Only wish the liner was black not white...but not a deal breaker. Priced reasonably.

Love these ... bought 2 colors: black & gray. The compression "could" be somewhat more "compression" but they are way too comfortable just as they are to return. I wear them for tennis, running, and just everyday errands. The length is great...I am 5'8" 150 lbs. and 50+ years, most "running" ... way too ... me, these are perfect!

Great ...
I am a bit surprised, but I really love these ... am 5'8" and 162 lbs and purchased a medium. The ... do not ride up and are long enough that I am not self conscious. I agree with the other reviewers that I would prefer a black under ... rather than white, but it doesn't really matter.

Love These ...
I love these ... they are comfortable, long enough and look slimming. I already had a black pair which I love. The were a true fit for me. Will buy in different colors.

Great ...
I love these ... fabric is perfect, the inner ... just the right amount of tight, the outer ... do not bunch up on my hips/backside. Most importantly they are not too ... am 5'5" , 145 lbs, and the medium was perfect. The asphalt color seems a lot darker than in the photo, and is too close to the black which I also ordered. I will be exchanging it for the parachute blue. I might like them even better if the inner ... black rather than white, but I think I am the only person who sees that! Really perfect for my gym workouts; I don't have to be bothered with re arranging my ... so that I am not too "exposed" for my comfort level.

Wonderful
These ... best ... I've found for any activity or sport. They are the perfect length. I really dislike the uber ... running ... am too old for that look at 54. And, I also dislike the restriction of bermuda length ... wish they came in solid colors without the white piping. However, I am thrilled that they come in color at all because most sportswear comes only in black. I live in southern Arizona, so wearing black in the hot, hot summers is not an option. All in all, this is a great ...

I love these ... have them in gray and black. Perfect length, not too ... like most running ... inside pocket is perfect for my keys.

LOVE these ...
Bought a pair last year in black, and was excited to see Athleta offer the Take 2 ... again in more colors this season!! So I bought 1 in the hot pink and 1 in the gem blue. I'm tall with very long legs and a 160 lb frame, and the Medium is just fine!! It gets hot in the summer around here, even in my gym, so I need ... my classes and gym workouts. But at my age, tight spandex and/or teeny tiny running ... not a good look!! Athleta's Take 2 provide the coverage, and the piping at the yoke accents one's shape nicely too. The compression style liner is comfortable, but not so tight as to function like a true compression ... it's more for modesty, in my opinion--which is more than okay for what I need. Length is perfect, and if you want them a little shorter, you can always roll the waist!

Great running ...
I got these in the gray color which is a nice changes from all of the black that I have. I didn't have a problem with the lining being white but wouldn't mind the ... being a little tiny bit shorter (I am petite - 5'2"). Great as far as running goes - no riding up! These will be getting a lot of use this summer.

love them, but
inner lining should be black, not white. It not only looks like underwear, it gets dirty from sweat and takes on a grungy grey color. yuck!

Really nice fabric
Fantastic ... fabric is so soft and breathable. The inner compression ... lightweight and nonrestrictive. Very comfortable ... am surprised I like them as much as I do. I never find ... don't ride up. I will be ordering more. My only suggestion would be to make the inner compression ... black material instead of white.

nice shorts
I bought these to wear to the beach as part of a tankini bathing suit as I am over weight and do not look good in a regular bathing suit. These shorts cover where they need to and I love that it has pockets in the rear and the front that do not stick out but that do cover up and smoothes things out more than other pieces. I got these in purple which is really pretty and also in black to go with anything. I think these will be great this summer to run after my son on the beach or pool without feeling self concious or having to pull and tug and adjust. Great shorts!

Great shorts, but watch the sizing. I have these in two colors, but the black runs larger. I'm 5'7" 123lbs and size 2 is perfect. I ordered the black in size 2 and they were very loose. Tried the 0 and they were too small. Bummed that I couldn't find the right size in the black. Love these comfortable shorts!

LOVE these shorts!
Originally I bought these in 8 in the olive color and they were a little large in the waist but I just cinched them up with the drawstring. I was concerned a 6 would be too tight in my muscular thighs. Finally I ordered the 6 in black and the sand color and they fit even better! they are not too large in the waist but enough room in the legs. These fit like pajamas, they are so lightweight and comfortable. In the lighter sand color the grommets stand out a little more but it is not a detraction to me. They are barely noticeable in the black. They wash very well, I just put a knot in the string so it does not get lost in the dryer. They travel well too, no wrinkles. These are my go to shorts. Very flattering look. I am 5'4" and 130 lbs and usually wear a 6-8 or a medium. I am pear shaped with a smaller waist and larger hips/ thighs. These are perfection!

Great shorts!
I love these shorts! I wanted them in black, but they are out of stock at the moment. So comfortable and easy to wash (wash and hang dry - they dry quickly!). I'm 5'4" around 125 and a size 6 fits great! My husband loves how they look. I also bought the bermuda length and capri! Can't wait to get the black.

cute fun and for everyday as well as preformance..
i truely like to bike and one night at a tire changing clinic i talked with my coach who wore these shorts saying they were her go to everyday short for her off biking time. they are light weight, they hold their color wash after wash and they are flattering , which is the best. also , they have pockets where you want and will use them.. not just for cute appeal. really want the purple color, i purchased the conservative black ones.. hope i get them soon, the weather is super hot everywhere.. mama gg

Perfect Paddleboarding gear!
I am so happy with these shorts! Just awesome, I SUP at least 2-3 times a week and it has been an ENDLESS search to find board shorts that we're actually made for the water. These are cool, light and dry fast. They have a stretch to them so it's easy to move about. I can easily move in them to do yoga on my board as well as paddle. Have these in purple and black. Would love to see them in the Asphalt color.

First of all...PLEASE Athleta...don't ever change or discontinue these shorts. I'm 5'6 120 lbs and muscular. It is very difficult to find perfect fitting shorts. I bought them in black and olive in a size 0...a week later, turned around and bought ANOTHER pair in black and olive. The length is perfect...not too short or too long. The cut and details are very flattering. The fabric is very lightweight but not flimsy and the detailing (pockets, zippers, stitching) make it a substantial short as an "every activity" short. The waist was a little loose on me but it still hangs nicely on the hips plus there is a nice ribbon drawstring where you can cinch it up. Very good quality short...nice job Athleta!

LOVE THESE SHORTS !!!
This is probably one of the best fitting and most flattering pair of shorts I have ever bought. I'm 5'6, 120 lbs and muscular and a size zero. I found the fit to be absolutely perfect in all dimensions without it being tight. The length is perfect...not too short and not too long! The waist has a little extra room but enough to hang on the hips and fine tune with the draw string. PLEASE Athletica...continue to make this short AS IS without any changes! I bought the black and olive...wish there were more earthy colors!

Great Fit!
These are very light weight, great to throw on after the beach! They are a bit on the shorter side but I knew that from reading other reviews. These are definitely not for someone looking to be more on the modest side. I am 5'7 155lb athletic build and I went with an 8 in the black.

second pair in orange
i used to be the type o' woman with a real aversion to wearing shorts, especially in public. pure vanity. this summer i decided to break out of that limiting mind box and get a few pair. after i bought a pair of these in black and practically wearing them every day i decided to purchase pair #2 (on sale on that). the orange is bright and sassy, perfect for a leo. weighin' in at 126 , 5'3" at 55 i'm feeling practically reinvented in my new breeze shorts.

Nice board shorts!
I've been looking to replace my Crazy Shirts woman's boards and these have been best so far. I am 5'2" and 118 lbs and the size 2 is a good fit. I usually fit size 2 and XS/S. The rise is not too low and the length is not too short. The waist is just a little loose. But I marked True to Size as I can simply tighten the drawstrings and the waist is fine without gathering too much. I wouldn't go down another size as I think the butt and hips would be too tight. I followed the review from 'Om Baby 1446944 Pensacola, FL' and my experience is about the same. Although my tankinis do look good with these shorts. Bought both the black and olive (nice neutral color)--both coordinate nicely with any colored tops!

Dipper ... Skorts a favorite
These are true to size, 5'10" , 34" in seam and they work great. Not sure which is my favorite, the skort I already have in Black and Tan or the new ... Great fabric for on the-go. I usually fall between a size 10 or a 12, bought the larger in this case.

Great ...
I needed some ... travel, hiking and everyday wear...something that was appropriate for my age; something not too tight, too low-rise or too ... wear in public. I found just what I wanted and needed in these ... got them in light gray, and like them so well, I got two additional colors: sand beige and black. We're having a very hot summer here, and now I live in these ... wearing them everywhere (except to work!) The fit is pretty true, the fabric is durable, washes well and doesn't wrinkle with normal care. Good job, Athleta!

These are my favorite ... fabric is fantastic and stays nice after washing. I have the black in 12" and think I'll take them in for hemming. I LOVE the 9" length. I ordered 2 more in different colors as these will be my go to ... any activity. Do have to say, I usually wear a 6, but in these the 8 feels better so that is what I order and they have been a consistent fit so far.

Give Me More!!
Absolutely love these "dipper" ... have ordered them for the past 3 years. They are true to size and can be worn for almost everything. I live in Mexico and wear them daily. They are stylish and don't make me look like an old woman. The only problem with them is the back snap. Athleta needs to not eliminate this snap because it adds to the classic look but they do need to perfect it. I just wish they would also make these 9"dippers in more colors. Ex. black, red and so on.

I LOVE these ...
I bought a pair of 5 inch and a pair of 9 inch in my first order since I wasn't sure which length I would like best. Well, I loved them both and ordered another of each in two more colors. My only complaint is the colors you offer them in. The pinks and blues are hard to match. I would buy both sizes in black and navy if offered. I have the asphalt and the khaki in 5 inch AND 9 inch! The 5 inch are perfect for everyday errands and the 9 inch are great when you want a little more cover. These are my Favorite ...

Fantastic ...
I LOVE these ... They totally exceeded my expectations. I am very pear shaped (big hips & tiny waist) and these fit great. The waist is not as gappy as many ... inside drawstring takes care of the little gap that there was. These ... very versatile. You can wear them for outdoor sports activities or pair them with a nice top and some wedge sandals and you have a cute outfit for casual Friday at the office. I've already ordered another pair. Wish they came in even more colors.

Great ... but inconsistent sizing
This is a great ... travel, hiking, casual bike rides and for when you want a bit longer ... am petit so the 9 inch was almost a bermuda ... me. My only complaint is that I ordered a second pair in black (I have the grey) and the fit was not at all the same - the rise was much shorter. I know others have commented on this and I agree - Athleta please get more consistent with your sizing.

Am 140 lbs, usually size 8-10 in pants (don't like tight). Bought size 8 in these ... They fit well and very comfortable.Stretchy material. Got them in black. They sit nicely around the rear. Only bad part is they make a scratchy sound from legs rubbing when you walk. You can't sneak up on anyone while wearing them.

Nice ...
I really like these ... 9inch length is really nice too especially for running around town. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because like some of the other reviewers, I also have problems with the snap in the back. After wearing them all day it came unsnapped like 3 times. I don't really see a reason for it to even be there and if you wear your tops untucked it won't even be seen. I probably would not wear these ... working out but they are nice everyday wear and very comfortable. The dark grey color is nice also, goes with just about any color top including black.

Just the wrong length for me
I loved the fit and fabric of the ... (my first dipper purchase), but my husband agreed with me that the length was strange. I am 5'6" and weigh 144. The 10 fit perfectly in the waist and hips. The khakina color was too much the color of my legs. I exchanged them for the 12" black dipper ... love them.

Great for bike riding, gardening, and schlepping around on the weekend
I gained a little weight and have had trouble getting bottoms that fit when I put them on and continue to fit without stretching out and forcing me to pull them up every five minutes. I got these on Friday and basically wore them all weekend. It was great. They were perfect for casual bike riding: No plumber's crack on my bike, and I could safely stash my phone with my bike computer app in one of the cargo pockets for the ride. Then I wore them the rest of the day for gardening. Planted a tree, weeded, hauled dirt and rocks around and I didn't have to adjust them once. Plus they were thick enough fabric to take any abuse from yardwork. I'm 5'8", 155lbs, and got a size 8. They hit right above my knee. The purple color is dark enough to almost be a neutral, but more fun. I will probably end up getting a second pair in another color, they're great.

My favorite shorts!
I now own 3 pairs, khaki, olive and black. I'm trying to buy the white pair, but they keep running out of my size. These are my most favorite shorts. I wear them everywhere: traveliing, hiking, around town, working in the yard and much more. I am 5'7" and weigh 135 lbs. I bought a size 6 in all colors and they all fit perfectly excpet the black pair, they are a little baggy. I still wear them, but they don't fit quite as perfectly as the khaki and olive. I get many compliments on them. They sit at the top of the hip bones so don't bind the waist and the length is perfect for a tall person. I will still keep looking for the white pair in size 6, although I am thinking about buying a size 4.

LOVE THEM
These shorts are the perfect length for work or play and are totally soft and comfortable. Still nice enough even to wear out, not nightclubing or anything but definitely good for a a casual night out. I bought them in black and brown and both are great looking.

EXPENSIVE, but WORTH EVERY PENNY!
I must say, I have never spent nearly [$] on a pair of shorts, but I am glad I bit the bullet and did....they look AMAZING on. They do run big, though, so order down one size (I am usally a size 2 in Athleta, but had to exchange the 2 for a 0 as it hung a little on my hips. I am 5' 7" and 120 lbs). I like the heavier fabric...these are 'substantial' shorts...the crispness makes them hug your body. Length is nice...above the knee without being too short. I bought the Haystack color...a pretty goldish/greenish color. It is a wonderful alternative to the usual khaki, brown, navy, black etc. You would be surprised how many colors look good coupled with Haystack. I want to buy more, just have to wait until the checkbook recovers :-)

love these!
These shorts are super cute on and very comfortable. Love the styling and the pockets. I am a fit mom and they are perfect for running around everywhere with my kids. They are on the heavier side, but our NW summers are never that hot so they will be perfect for lots of fun activiites. I am 5'6" and weigh 132. The 8 fits great, I could probably do the 6 but don't like anything form fitting. The olive is a bit darker than what I was hoping for but I still like it. After getting these in the email, I ordered the funky yellow right away and I love that too. Will be a good color change from all my olive, brown and black bottoms.

Great Shorts
I tried a pair on in the store and they fit great. I am 5'6" - 160ish purchased the size 12. I ordered two other colors online and packed all three pairs for vacation. Black and White were great. The tan ones I noticed were made in another country from the B&W ones. They did not fit the same either....too big. So returned them. But love the B&W ones. Would love some other colors other than pop pink and pop blue...just not the brave to wear them. They wash up nicely and I iron mine.

Details
Cute snaps & overall design makes this a fun short to wear. Lots of pockets for stashing items while on vaca @ Disney World. Fabric is soft but slightly heavy (cotton & grommets). I'm 5'3" & ordered the 4. A little baggy all over, but the internal tie helps with the waist. Dress it up with a skinny belt & you're set. The black looks great with all the details. I also ordered the tan, but black looks best in this design. Shipment came quick, even without expedited delivery.

Inconsistent Sizing
I ordered these shorts in a size 4 (I am usually a 4 in Athleta) in White and in Black. The White shorts were too tight, but the Black fit just fine, a little big in the waist and the rear is too loose after wearing for a little while but I am keeping those. I like the style but am giving them 4 instead of 5 stars due to the inconsistent sizing...and this is not the first time I have had this happen with Athleta.

Wonderful
Already had these in black, size S, and loved them so much went back for the purple. It just came and is a gorgeous color of royal purple. I am right on the line between a 4 and a 6 and got the small and they fit perfectly. Love them as they are soft and comfy, but the back pockets add a nice touch.

Nice pocketed shorts!
I really like these shorts. The do ride up like some of the other reviews said - probably moreso if you are fuller in the rear end/upper thighs. I am not wearing them for exercise but more for everyday, so this isn't as much of a problem. I bought midnight first and they were a much better fit - exchanged for black and the black was tighter. I am keeping them because I like the tighter fit on top but the pockets make them more appropriate for everyday wear. I am 5'5" 122 lbs. fuller rear and thighs and the small fit nicely.

Shorty
I am 5'2", this short hits just above the knee which makes it perfect for Yoga and wearing out in town. Comfortable fit, a little lower on the hips than I prefer. Bought them in the charcoal must have in black.

Great potential.
I like the style of these shorts. I like the back pockets. The length is too long for my taste. I like lower rise bottoms but these were slightly too low for my taste. I found the same issue with the crotch area that a few reviews noted. The material hugs this area - especially so after running. I felt uncomfortable due to this and felt the need to constantly pull them down. These do hug the rear end so if you do not like that these will not be for you. I am 5'4" and 128lbs. I ordered a small in black and midnight blue. The midnight blue to me was more purple - not an interchangable color for my current workout clothes so these would be exchanged no matter what. The black are a dull black and they do attract lint and hair - a big minus when you own two Golden Retrievers. I also noticed the waist area snagged after wearing my running waist pack - a big minus as well. Overall, they fit great with the exception of the crotch area and the length of the leg. I will either exchange for a medium or exchange for a different style. One other plus, these did not show my underware line. I ran in these yesterday. Weather was in the upper 70's and quite breezy. I felt these shorts attracted and retained the heat from the sun and my body - a minus for warm weather running but good in cooler weather.

Don''t love the black heather fabric
I've had the plain black regular shorts before and really loved them in general, but decided they might be a little short for me at fifty and gave them to my daughter after wearing them. Still like the fit of these, but don't think the fabric fits/drapes as nicely; unattractive around the crotch to put it bluntly. I plan to return them and perhaps try the plain fabric again (different composition).

nice looking comfortable shorts
I have these shorts in the olive color and just purchased them in the heather black. They go with everything, but are a bit different than plain black, making them somewhat trendy. I love the fit, comfort, and style, dressy or casual they take me from school to yoga class!

Bettona rules!! Great shorts!!
I bought these shorts because I own the Bettona Classic and the Bettona Boyfriend pants and I love them both so much and wear them daily!! These shorts are great fitting and super comfy .... just like the other Bettona ltems. I got them in black and asphalt and the only complaint I have is that the asphalt does not wear well. It show snags and it balls up ... where the black does not. i remember when I first bought the Bettona Boyfriend pant in asphalt and they did the same. I will probably send the grey back and replace them with black or try one of the new colors they just introduced. I am 4'11" and weigh 93 lbs and I got the XS . I don't want my shorts to fit tight and this fit for me is a perfect semi fitted look. Just pick the right color and you will be very happy with these shorts!!

Love these shorts!
I ordered these shorts in black and blue. I am going to return the blue ones. I had hoped that they would look like a blue jean color, but they were more of a purple/blue. I also had the slits are the sides sewed closed since this kind of made them flair out at the knee. Other than that, I LOVE these shorts! My friends couldn't even tell they were yoga pants material. They washed up nice (so far), and they do not stretch out during the day. I am definately considering ordering another black pair and/or getting the pants that are the same style.

First Try
I have never purchased this style of workout pant, but what a nice surprise. Love the length, fit and fabric. The pockets make it super handy on the days I run errands before or after my workout. I just need you to get them in stock in black! I had to order the olive and it is ok, but I am looking forward to getting them in black.

Loved the fit and feel of the Bettona Bermuda shorts. I ordered 2 pair, black & navy. I received the navy not the black. I was sent a small sports bra instead of the black Bermuda. I am still waiting for this to be corrected. I am hoping to receive them soon.

Great shorts!
Love shorts. So glad to find short that fits so nice as hard to find extra smalls. Purchased the midnight blue and really a purple but still like. Nice fabric and very comfortable. May buy black too.

Flattering shorts
I had these shorts in grey already and love them. Fit is great, not too high on waist and not too low, fit in hips and waist. I am almost always a small in Athleta pants/shorts and a 26 in designer jeans. I wear them hiking all the time and out n about and always get comments on how good they look. The black pair I just got will be more for the gym as I don't wear a lot of black in the summer especially hiking when it is hot. Love love love them. pockets in back are flattering for the tush too!!

A pair in every color!
These shorts are incredibly comfortable, they look great, and they keep their shape beautifully throughout the day. I am a high school science teacher, reformer Pilates and Spinning instructor. I have 2 pairs of the long Bettona pants and I wore them throughout the winter, so, I decided to try the black Bettona Bermudas. The shorts hit me just at/below the knee and I paired them with a collared white shirt, houndstooth black and white vest, and black pumps for work. I changed tops after work to teach back to back Pilates and Spinning. Perfect!

Lookin'' good in these shorts...
Great shorts. Different design from the standard black uniform. Stiching and pockets add a really nice touch. Low waist looks up to-date. I bought the gray as a change. Sweat didn't show through which can be a big problem with shorts other than black. Fabric is really nice. I 'll probably buy another pair for everyday wear. My first purchase from Athleta. More to come....

so glad i ordered these!
I am 5'7", 140lbs. I ordered these in black in size M. They fit perfect and they are super comfortable. They are great for everyday wear. I think they look almost too nice to exercise in! They are the same fabric as my chatarunga tights and kickbooty pants, but the details make them look like regular shorts. Highly recommend - I already ordered a second pair in the gray color and the black pants to try!

I loved the bermudas I'm keeping them but the black is not a true black on the fabric it looks faded with you could fix that. Even my 2 friends liked them but didn't order them because they look faded

They are so comfortable are are the rare piece of athletic wear that has made its way into my street wardrobe. I love the little side zip pocket. It's the perfect size to hold a little cash/ATM & ID card or my house key. I wear the skirts running all the time, but I've also worn them wandering around town, traveling, and even for a night out on the town (the black one, in particular, is very versatile). As for fit, I'm 5'7 and 160-170 lbs, and it's expanded and contracted nicely as I've gained or lost weight over the past year. I bought a size large in tall so the skirt would be a little longer (just above my knees). Finally, after a year of wearing these all the time, they're holding up quite well. You won't be disappointed if you buy this skort.

Comfort and Class
This skort is well named. I purchased the first in asphalt; when it became available in my size, I ordered it in black. The fabric is soft and moves so well with the body. I continue to feel appropriately dressed whether participating in an activity, keeping an appointment, attending a meeting, or working in a classroom,

Awesome skort!
I bought this skort in MT, in both black and white. I am 5.6", 150ish lbs, 34D, 29 waist, 40 hips, generally buy size 8 - 10, or medium. There is a slight length and width difference between the black one and the white one - the white one is about 3/4 of an inch wider, and about 1/2 inch shorter than the black one. This does not seem to be noticeable at all (while wearing) because there is a lot of give to the fabric but I thought I'd mention the slight size difference nonetheless. To date, I have worn the black skort a lot, and pretty much everywhere, shopping, errands, even to go out, with a cute top. The white one will be my special summer going out skort. These skorts wash and dry very well, too. They are super comfortable, and I highly recommend them.

Love this skort!
I bought this skort in both black and white for golf. I love them both so much, I just ordered a print as well. This skort is perfect for golf - comfortable, cute and functional. The fabric is soft, yet sturdy and the cut is flattering - even for fuller figures. I am 5'10" and bought the tall length which was just right. (I am over 40, so a little extra length is a good thing.). I cannot say enough about this skort! Finding cute golf clothes is tough - this tops the list!

Great skort!
This was my first Athleta purchase. I am starting to play golf and wanted some cute skort outfits. I purchased this SSS in black and also purchased the printed one in Tide Blue seersucker. I am so impressed and really happy with my purchases! This black skort is very comfortable, flattering and functional. I think I will wear this a lot - not just for golf. I am 5'4 and about 138 lbs and the size medium fit perfectly. I carry my weight in my stomach area and the waist was comfortable and flattering. I bought the white fairway polo to wear with the black skort, but will return the white fairway polo because it was a little see through and you could see the black skort underneath the shirt.

Like the New Asphalt Color
I bought two of these skorts last year and wore them all summer long. Before they sold out again, I bought an Asphalt (S reg) and Black (S tall) because I'll be wearing these all the time once Spring arrives. The gray color last year was "Carbon", which is a lighter gray than this year's "Asphalt". I like that the gray this year is different - it is a much darker gray - nice I'll have a variety. I also ordered a Small/Tall to wear to work. The regular length is too short for work, and the tall will be perfect. I am 5' 3", 124 lbs, and ordered Small/Reg for casual wear...Small/Tall for work.

Fabulous Skort!
This skort is great! I originally purchased for golf and general activewear. It will be great for both. It has a very nice compression short beneath that does not ride up. I ordered both the gray and the black in a XLT. I am 5'8", athletic build, and carry extra weight (about 25 pounds)--generally wear 14 in street clothes

Nice black skirt
This skirt is a very rich black which I like. It's a bit dressier and could be worn out on a date night or similar. I wish it was a bit shorter (I'm 5"9" and it comes a bit above my knee-- I got Medium or a size 6-- however the size runs, I forget now). I realized after buying this that I prefer skirts a bit shorter so that's why I gave it 4 stars. But that's more my issue than anything Athleta did "wrong." Overall, a nice, dressier, rich black skirt with hidden shorts underneath!

Soft and buttery feel vs durability
This skort is sooooo soft and comfy. I was looking for something a bit more durable as I don't think this will stand up to some of my original plans of trail hiking and river paddling BUT it was super while playing disc golf over the weekend. The underlying shorts could be a better sturdier than the mesh but then probably wouldn't be as cool. All in all, a great skort with a perfect hemline - not too short and not too long. Thanks, Athleta, for helping me find a cute and functional skort for my plus size! I ordered in black and will probably revisit your other color choices. Now if only your tops were made for those of us with larger cup sizes! I'll keep checking in!

Sweet Sport Skort
I bought this skort in the black print and the white print. I consider those to be my "dress" skorts. They are amazing and the fabric is BEYOND. So I ordered this skort in the plain black thinking it would be a good addition to my wardrobe. Well, it is, but it's not as fabulous as the printed version. The fabric on the solid is more sticky, not as smooth. It's still wearable but I've been spoiled by the printed fabric. And for these prices, it's really nice to get the extra touches that Athleta is know for. It runs longer than the printed version, or maybe it just seems longer because it's a plain color. I think this skort would be a good staple for the golf course. Especially on those days that are chilly and you wear a shirt with a sweater or jacket over it. This skort would be good for layering since it is plain and has a longer length. As always, thank you Athleta for providing plus sizes in your athletic wear. Although honestly, I will wear this to the golf course, out to dinner after, and possibly for travel too. It's great to have a good staple piece for options. Thanks again!

Love it!
I really like the sweet sport skirt. I wanted something with a little more coverage than just shorts and this skirt fits the bill. It's very comfortable for running errands and a quick walk around the lake. It's stretchy, but doesn't lose it's shape. Love the heathered black color too; it goes with everything. This was my first Athleta purchase and I ordered a size larger than I normally wear as per the measurements from the size chart. It is a little big around the waist, but overall it fits pretty well. I would love to get more in other colors!

My sister was wearing this skort a few weeks ago and I fell in love with it, so I bought 2. My sister is much slimmer/ fit than I am so I wasn't holding my breath thinking it would look as good on me. I LOVE IT! Even though I'm 30 lbs and 4 sizes bigger than my sister I swear it is slimming on me. I bought the khaki one and the mercury. The fit is perfect and finally a skort/skirt not too ... material is so lightweight and soft, it just flows around me. I could wear this everyday and never tire of it. The mercury color is not my favorite...kind of a steely gray....but I'm keeping it bc of the other great qualities and so many things go with this color. I def will order the ... one. Heck, I may get every color they have. P.s. my sister said it is not a golf skort bc there are no front pockets. I don't play golf so don't care. I wore it to work on casual Friday, did some gardening after work even getting it wet while watering and it dries quickly bc of the material, and then out to eat in it and it was perfect from sunup to sundown and then some!

I got this skirt on a Wednesday & immediately tried it on & loved it. By Friday I had to find something else to wear as people were starting to talk!!!!! Being the Fashionista that I am I have now ordered another in another color!!!!

It really is the best skirt ever

Comfortable, attractive fit
[...] I'm wearing it today. It seems like I will wear it a lot this summer, particularly on hot days because the ... inside keep my thighs from sticking together, keeping me extra comfortable. I ordered the lavender color and love it. It looks more periwinkle than lavender, which I think makes it more versatile. If you want a better feel for what the color will look like, check out the photo of the lady on the bike. I'm typically a size 4 and the size 4 fits me well. Not too long, just above the knee. So it doesn't chop my legs off, but is long enough to wear to the office on a Friday.

Perfect winter skirt for Houston weather, with the soft cord fabric. Perfect for wearing with tights and boots! I matched with brown and black tights from DSW and back boots, and a slouchy cream top.

Love it!
I own 3 of the skorts in this style. I am 5'4", 124 pounds. I ordered the 4 Tall in this because I like my winter skirts to be 23" long. The fit is perfect. The grape jam color is beautiful. Would like to own it in asphalt and black too. I especially like that on the skirts, the top stitching is tonal and not contrast stitching like it is on the skorts.

Versatile little skirt!
I wear this skirt everywhere - lunch, church, dinner parties, you name it! The A line fit is comfy and flattering even thought I am only 5'3" - my husband always compliments me on it. It is still cold so I wear it with tights and tall boots. I have it in black and a dusty pink.

Great skirt for everyday
I'm 37 with 4 kids ages 16 months through 10. So I can count the number of times I've worn a skirt in the past decade on one hand. But now that even my youngest one is getting bigger, I feel I can venture into more fun clothes again, and that means wearing skirts! I saw this Whenever Cord Skirt online and loved it, so I ordered a size 0 in black and it fits perfectly (I'm 5'4" and 110 pounds). The length is perfect (below my fingertips when my arms are at my sides—not too long, not too short) and there's a nice little flare action that gives it a little personality and movement. I am in love with this skirt and now just have to buy a pair of warm tights so I can actually wear it this winter.

Awesome!
This is a fantastic skirt. I am 5'10" but decided not to order a tall because I wanted it a little shorter. It comes just above my knees and is really great. The fabric is very soft and overall the skirt seems really well made. I ordered it in black and the dark green with the intention of only keeping one, but I can't decide and may end up keeping both! My only complaints are that I wish it came in a burgundy/maroon color, and that the size 6 was just a tiny bit smaller in the butt. I normally wear a 6 but I can fit comfortably into the 4. However, I think it looks just a little too tight so I'm keeping the 6. I'd buy this in burgundy/maroon in a heartbeat!

i love it & feel comfy in it
i have this in pink & black. received many compliments on it & i felt so happy in it- maybe b/c it kind of flips up on the ends- i am 40 & felt like a little girl a bit. it was a cool experience. anyway, back to the skirt- i love it so much, i bought the skort version that was on sale. all the positive reviews were right. i am a 6, but with a mom bulge & this still fit b/c of the stretch.love it!! TOTALLY WORTH THE PRICE. i will be wearing this for a really long time

Fall, Flattering & Fun!
I love this skirt. Ordered it in two colors in 4 P. I'm 5'4" and around 130 pounds and carry my weight in my rear and thighs. I'm in my 40's and the petite was the perfect length and very flattering with my body type. The golden maple is a great fall color, but the waist is smaller than the same size skirt in black.

very nice skirt...
this is a lovely skirt...rise is not too low but comfortable and the length is just above my knee (I'm 5'5, 113 lbs)..I bought the size 0 and recently purchased the size 2 (regular length) as I have never bought Athleta bottoms before...so far, the 0 is slightly tight around the waist but if I gain a pound, it probably won't fit...waiting for the size 2 and I am hoping with the inner drawstring, this size might be the perfect one..bought the black color ..very nice and material is very comfortable..would definately recommend...

Great Skirt but too short.
I love this skirt and have gotten loads of complements but I wish it was a tad bit longer as I hate my knees. The Whatever skort is perfect for me-- this skirt is just slightly shorter. I do love it with a pair of high boots. The pink works with brown or black boots so it's nice. Highly recommend it.

Love it!
I bought this skirt in the summer version (it's a skort). I like it so much more without the short b/c it fits much better. The stretchy fabric makes it super comfortable too. FYI - the oregano color is more of a green tone than a brown. I wish they made this skirt in a dark brown and black, b/c I would buy another!

The perfect black skirt!
I ordered one in black and loved it so much, I just ordered a second (in black, again). This skirt is perfect. It fits great, is extremely comfortable, flattering, soft, washes well, and I wear it to work often (that's why I ordered a backup). I also wear it outside of work, and it packs well too, it's a great skirt to take on trips.

A dorable
I loved this skirt from the minute I tried it on. I live in the tropics where it's always hot and I have found that skirts are the most comfortable thing to wear. The detailing on the waist is so smart looking and the skirt is so comfortable I could live in it. I got it in black so I can wear it with anything. Definately buying more if it goes on sale!

Good for maternity wear as well
I have the Bodega skirt in several sizes & colors. I have worn this skirt at my regular size and now it has been a life saver for maternity wear as well. I had to buy a larger size than normal to accomodate my new waistline. The waistband is comfortable to wear below (or on top of) an expanding belly. The fabric is so soft on your skin as well. I have also bought this skirt for a friend of mine. She has worked it into her casual Friday wardrobe. Please continue to offer this skirt in many colors it is wonderful!

I absolutely love this skirt. I am 5"2 1/2" and this petite size is absolutely perfect! I got mine in black and it is the only thing I want to wear now. I have to go and order some more in different colors. Please make more petite clothes!!

Would be better in darker color
I had bought this skirt in a medium, which was too large. I wanted the skirt in black, but they were sold out. I am 5'7" and 124 lbs. The size I order is usually Medium. Usually, Athleta items run tighter because they appeal to the younger people, and I am 63. However, I love the Athleta styles. I got a Small Tall so that it would be just below my knees, and the Medium was too loose. The Small Tall fits fine, the skirt was very comfortable, but one could see through the white material way too much. Had it been in a darker color or thicker material, I would have loved it. I wish I could have gotten it in black.

LIke the skirt, and I would give it 5 stars if GAP offered a larger color selection, such as neutral darks. Not just the boring Blue and Black....

Cute skirt, but black color is a little off
This is a very cute skirt and the length is great, but the black color is a little different not quite as dark as other ... doesn't quite go with the black leggings or tights I have. That's my only complaint about this skirt though, otherwise it is great. I might try another color too.

Want To Love It But Just Okay
I really wanted to love this skirt more than I actually do. I ordered a petite and the length is still a couple of inches longer than I would have liked. I ordered the skirt in black and the color isn't dark enough to be a true black. Even so, the skirt is still great for every day wear.

I bought this in black, and loved it so much that I bought it in 3 other colors! I'm 5'5 and an A cup, and this is perfect - length, fit, support (I'm especially grateful for the removable anti high-beam pads!) I work at an outdoor music arena, and this will be my go to all summer!

perfect
I'm small busted but I hate bras. This was perfect for me. its snug on top but loose going down. I normally wear a 12 and a large was perfect. It was too long but I always have to hem everything. We travel to Hawaii regularily and i like long dresses. I got it in black. I have a large brimmed black straw hat that goes great. add a belt and long necklace and I can go out.

My favority Athleta dress ever!
I know own this dress in two colors, both the black and plum. Every time I wear one of them, whether it be with a long cardigan at work or sleevless around town, I receive mulitple compliments. The built in bra is comfortable and ideal for someone small chested like myself (34A). I am 5'7'' and 128 lbs. I usually wear a size 4 in Athleta, but after trying on both the XS and S, I opted for the XS. It was a little long, but once washed, it is now the perfect length to wear with flats or a slight heal. The plum color is beautiful.

Glad I finally ordered this dress
I've looked at this dress for years and finally ordered it in black. I'm only 5'2 so I expected it to be too long. The large fit my curvy figure well and the built in shelf bra is enough to support my DD bust. I can see ordering this in other colors.

Great Dress
Love the fabric, cut, and design. I tried the black, berry, and indigo. The black shows less of a panty line. This dress fits smaller than the printed maxi dress. LOVE the molded cups- this whole no bra think is pretty sweet (especially when it does't flatten me out). Now... to just decide which color to keep. Much too spendy for more than one.

LOVE this dress
Got this in black, and it is so soft, comfortable, and flattering that I'm restraining myself for dropping another [$] on the purple. This dress was initially off putting for me because of the price, but I think it's worth it now. I'm 5'4" and around 140, with a 34 DD chest and otherwise athletically built with some hips, a defined waist, and some bottom action:), and I think this dress is so flattering. Other reviews mentioned the peskiness of the racer back if a bra's needed (I need one; the support that's built into the dress should only be for A and B cups), but I have one of those plastic bra-clip things you can get at Walgreen's for about $4, and it'll come in handy for other racer back issues. Other than that snafu, I cannot say how much I love this dress. At 5'4" the medium was the perfect length for me, but if I lost even a half an inch it'd sweep the floor. Great material, very cool and comfy - I wear it with a cardigan for work and can go out AND take it to the Caribbean with me on vacation this November - super duper dress for me!

GREAT DRESS
I love this this dress! I purchased it a few months ago in the olive color and liked it so much purchased another one in black. It is an easy go to day dress or can be accessorized for a nice evening out. I am 5'7", 135 lbs and 36C the size medium is a perfect size and length.

Love this dress
I've been looking for a black maxi dress to replace my current one that I've worn to death. This is the one, and it doesn't get better then a built in bra dress, with pockets, and good fit. I ordered the xs, I'm 5'6 and 128, the length and fit are perfect. It washed up good, and comfortable to wear all day. It's an essential for my closet.

Comfortable and versatile
I got the solid tee maxi dress in black. I am 5'6 and 126 lbs and ordered it in a size small. The length was at my ankles. It is very comfortable and flattering to the figure without being skin tight. I read reviews about the pockets making hips look big. To be honest I can't tell the pockets are there unless I am using them. (Perhaps the pockets are more noticeable in a lighter shade.) It's definately a wash and wear dress which is wonderful for a career woman and mother of 2 young children. I fell asleep in the dress the other night. When I woke up the next morning it still looked great (no wrinkles). And yes, it was very comfortable to sleep in! The material is wonderfully soft. I have been wearing this around the house and on errands. However this maxi can easily be dressed up for an evening out as well. I will certainly buy another in a different color or print!

I Wanted This Dress
I wanted this dress so badly that I decided not to wait and see if it went on sale. I have 2 of the printed maxi dresses from Athleta and absolutely love them. I thought a solid black dress would be perfect. Unfortunately, this dress did not fit the same way as the printed versions. I wear a size 12 and the Large fits me like a glove in the prints. The solid color dress is too big in the bust and underarm but too tight in the stomach and hips. I am so dissapointed to send this dress back. I won't even reorder it in a XL because the bust would be way too big.

High Hopes but disappointing
I had high hopes for this dress after reviewing it online. However, upon receiving the dress I was disappointed. The length is odd...too short for a maxi dress and I am only 5'7", 135lbs. The internal shelf bra was way too tight for me (32-D) and the armholes were too big. Also, the waist and hips are too large thus creating an unattractive figure line. I was also very excited about the pockets but they are too big and hit in a bad area adding extra "bulk" and weight to my hips and upper thighs. After reading the reviews maybe this dress is better suited for someone with a more athletic build or more curves? I ordered the blue, black and pink and all the colors are great. More muted than online but the dress just does not fit at all. Too bad....all three are going back!
