I have ordered more than 1 sweater online looking for that go to sweater...... THIS IS IT! This ... great...has a nice weight to it, it is soft to the touch yet warm to wear, the fit is just great, easy to grab & throw on, and it is great looking. This ... can dress up with a nice scarf or down with a pair of jeans. Perfect Sweater
I was hesitant to get this sweater but I'm so glad I did. I am in between a XL and 1x. So was not sure which size to order. I decided on The 1x in grey (better big then too small). It is a little big but thats what I was looking for so I could layer it with another shirt. The color is so pretty and it fits well. It is a good length to wear with leggings or skinny jeans. The sleeves are a little long but I can work with that. I am allergic to wool so it is perfect. The material is well made and so soft and cozy. In Texas you just can't find sweaters like this. Everything here is so light weight. If the 1x was available in purple I would buy that one too! Thanks Athleta for making the perfect sweater you can wear with anything!
This one is a keeper
I had been shopping around for sweaters long enough to wear with leggings and not having alot of luck. I'm 5'8", 130 lbs and wanted something that would cover my butt and not hang like a tent. Enter the Voras sweater. Small is my standard Athleta size and the small worked perfectly in this sweater. It is somewhat form fitting without being too tight. I am slim with broad shoulders and an athletic build. Love the purple color although I agree with other reviews that it is not as vibrant as pictured in the catalog. I don't plan to wear this as a coat but layered with a scoop or v neck tank. It should be perfect!
should have ordered a medium
I knew right after I ordered this sweater that I should have ordered a medium. I am 5'2" and weigh 138...with some curves. I ordered a small and it does hug my curves a bit, but I am going to manage with it. The sleeves are on the long end of things but I just roll slightly. I love the side zip pockets and that the zipper unzips from the bottom as well. Overall I love the sweater and I like the fact that it is mostly cotton (with a little cashmere)....mostly cotton sweaters seem difficult to find these days. It says to dry flat, and I wouldn't even consider putting it in the dryer. I am giving 5 stars as it is my fault for not ordering the medium. But I do LOVE it and will wear with leggings.
Must Have for your Fall/Winter Wardrobe!!
This sweater is amazing. It is the perfect "coat" or sweater. It looks great with skirts, leggings, and Jeans. I was a bit unsure as the "bulky" longer sweaters are not always the best look for me. But this one has a great fit and is not overwhelming. It definitely has a shape and looks "tailoerd" not sloppy. It is so comfortable and perfect to dress up or to stay warm and cozy when at home!
Cozy, stylish sweater jacket
This is a great fall/winter/maybe even spring? layer for the climate I live in. Sure, the sleeves run long, but I like that for an outer layer, and you can always cuff them. I bought the purple color, which I would describe as eggplant -- more red purple than blue purple, but not as red as maroon. I like the length -- I was looking for a longish sweater jacket. I am 5'3" (long torso, shorter legs) and 140ish with an hour glass figure, and I got a medium. It is plenty roomy for a long sleeve shirt or lighter weight sweater underneath, and hits about 4 inches above my knees. Looks great with straight leg jeans or leggings -- I think it would also work well with a casual skirt or dress. If it came in black, charcoal gray, dark brown, dark or deep blue or green, I might buy another...
nice, but a bit bland
This looks like a great sweater, but it is very bland. Not as thick as i had hoped. A bit factoy looking. I DO, however, LOVE the thumbhole for the hands!!! It fits much tighter than a normal Athleta XL. It does come in plus size, but the smallest plus size is too big and the XL is a bit tight for layering. I am 5'9' -(muscular, and fat), I have a very broad shoulder and back, about a 38 D breast, and look pretty good in the Large bikini bottoms and an XL top.... amazingly! This sweater fit like a glove, not like an over sweater should fit. I would love to see this in a more artisan style with other colors woven in or shapes, or flowers, or anything interesting?? All of these cool sweaters are so NYC or LA....grey, cream black...boring!! The quality seemed more "OLD NAVY" than Athleta! Sorry if i sound curt, I just want to be clear. Hope this is helpful.
Nice material and style, just didn't fit my body type. I am 5'8" 140lbs, small chest. None of the long sweaters look good on me though.
Not for me...
I ordered this sweater in the purple color in a small and I normally wear a medium. The fit was fine, I just didn't care for the heaviness of the sweater. I actually felt like this would start to be painful when wearing it and would probably give me back issues. I'm not big on sweaters with hoods either - in the winter, what is the point? You'll be wearing a hat anyway and the hood just adds bulk under a coat. I returned this one.
