best yoga pants
Years ago I purchased my first pair of ... yoga pants and I love them, so I ordered another pair. At 5'8" and 132 pounds I ordered size medium, both times. My new ones have a lower rise even though both were advertised as mid rise. I would have preferred them to be more like the first pair I bought. Other than I'm very happy with them. They look and feel great.
Awesome tights
I have two pairs of the Chaturanga Knickers that I bought for Hot Yoga, but I needed something longer for my Pure Barre class. Since I LOVE the knickers, I was excited to find the Chaturanga Tight. I'm a bigger gal (my knickers are 1X, but by the time I got the tights I can wear an XL) and these are flattering, and I am not self conscious in the least when wearing them in class. They are fitted, but aren't so tight as to be indecent at my size. I do have a little issue with the waist during class, and have to pull them back up from time to time. I did notice that my tights (black) have a little sheen to them which my knickers do not. I don't know if is a fluke in the pair I have, since I know they're not suppsed to, but it's hardly noticable. These have been washed MANY times, and are holding up wonderfully! I will definitely buy more!
Perfect Yoga Tights
The Chaturanga tights are my ideal yoga pants. I prefer to having something tight to my leg (rather than wide below the knee) and it's starting to get chilly, so I needed a longer ... supplement all my capris. These fit the bill perfectly. The fit of these is great and I don't have to adjust them or think about them at all during yoga class (unlike some of my pants by different brands). And the little slit at the ankle it cute and practical. I just wish Athleta would make more colors!
Best Yoga Pants EVER!
I purchased the Chaturanga Tight - they are the BEST yoga pants I own - & I own a LOT (I'm a yoga teacher!). The fit is fabulous, the fabric is fabulous. I can't say enough good things about this style! I recently purchased my 1st pair of LuluLemon yoga pants (after hearing how great they are from students/fellow teachers). They are awful. I'm now buying another pair of the Chaturanga Tight! I would love them to be offered in more colors - brights & jewel tones would be great!
Great for yoga!
I contemplated the Chaturanga pants for a while and finally got them and so happy I did. I have the needed support I wanted with the slimming effect of the ankle fitted ... ordered a medium and the fit is true to size, no cutting at the waist and the length is just right for me at 5'5''. The fabric is breathable and works wonders for tree pose. I also purchased the Swara jacket so this will be a nice look and feel for these chilly days.
Simple, Stylish, Versatile
I've seen women wearing their chaturanga tights in yoga class and on the street, and something about them always catches my eye. The slit at the ankle is ultra cute, and the broad waistband is flattering, they are basic and simple but stylish. The fabric is smooth and seems to hold things in place well. So of course I had to order some. I got Asphalt for variety, and I like them a lot. I've worn them under dresses and skirts and to/fro yoga. These tights seem thinner than the pilayo fabric in the other Athleta pants I have, but this could be a good things for warmer weather or more intense workouts. I did notice a pull or pilling on the seam at the outer lower leg the first day I wore them. They fit me well, so it's not like I busted it squeezing in. That's the drawback, i suppose to these technical fabrics. I'd still recommend them heartily and wish Athleta made them in other colors (deep purple! vibrant yellow? off white! heathered red?)
