PLEASE, PLEASE BRING THIS BACK
I purchased this ... few years ago and have worn it for three seasons of winter ... love it! It keeps me so comfortable in the worst winter weather. I ... outdoors year round and this ... has been perfect! The problem..I lost 35 lbs and need a smaller size! I have not been able to find anything comparable to this ... winter ... PLEASE bring it back and don't change a thing!!!

I purchased this ... several years ago and I wear it all winter long for ... outdoors in colder weather. It is the BEST winter ... ever! I have lost 35 lbs and need a smaller size ... didn't offer it this past year. So all winter I have been ... size large ... There is simply nothing I can find to replace it. I would love it if you bring it back and DON'T change a thing about it! I would buy it in every color!!

This is ... second review - ... have 3 of ... so that is fair, right? ... ROCK! They fit true to size- I am 5'5, 116#'s, 34B- XS fits perfectly as a performance ... have been exercising in ... 0 degree, windy weather for about 60-90 minutes at a time and I am NEVER ... Athleta, please don't change style, fabric or cut and more colors, please!! Worth every penny!

I have been searching for a running jacket for years. Finally purchased this one and LOVE it. I ran this morning in below 20 degree weather and was not cold. There was a slight wind and for the first time, I did not feel like it was blowing through my clothes and or like I was running in a sauna. The vents work. Not a fan of the thumb holes - too cold to ... without gloves right now, but they might be nice when it is a bit warmer out. I just push them and it adds another layer of protection for my arms. well worth the money!
Just what I needed for ... winter ...
This ... just what I needed! It also helps that it is so cute and stylish! One minor wish is that it had more pockets. I would like a pocket in the back to store gear when I get warm on a balmy winter day. The fit is perfect and it has excellent wind protection. I love it!
LOVE this jacket!
This ... everything and more. I keep checking to see if the Strawberry color becomes available in ... size as I'd love to have two of these ... wear mine for ... outside in snow, rain, ... weather and it is perfect! Based on other reviews I ordred a size up and it fits fine but the sleeves are a little long. If the other color becomes available I would order ... usual size medium. I hope Athleta offers this again next year!
a bit fussy
I am a tough customer...a warm, comfortable, well fitting jacket that keeps the elements out is absolutely essential for my winter ... So the rundown: Pros: Color is amazing (dark plum), reflectors great for early a.m. ... plenty of pockets, snug fit. Cons: XS is tight in bust (I'm 34/36B) but rather roomy in waist; the zipper is fussy and really quite loud; sounds a little "crinkly" when ... armholes make the sleeves tight when worn, but my arms are pretty long. The true test was when I wore the jacket, and 2 technical under layers, during a race where the weather suddenly dipped to 22 degrees. At first I felt the every bit of wind and ... coming right through the jacket. Quickly though, I warmed up and realized ... 2 under layers should have been just 1. The jacket kept me cozy and I found myself forgetting about the crinkly noise. Afterward, however, wore all the layers to grab brunch, and the inside of the jacket was moist. Gross! It held in ... body heat, but worked against ... tech gear. I will keep the jacket, but alas, I am not in love.
Just a little snug
I like this jacket, but have only two problems with it: 1. I bought it in large and it is very fitted, so if you want room inside, get a size up. For all the snugness, though, it's comfortable enough, and the pockets are a nice feature. Also, I ... mornings when it's dark, so the reflective features are a big plus. 2. ... other problem is that the extended sleeve piece with thumb hole doesn't keep your hands very warm. I would recommend gloves with this jacket if you're ... outside in ... weather. The jacket is heavy enough, but your hands will be chilly.
Torn
I love the fit, style and color of this ... which I bought as an alternative/replacement to ... slightly bulky rain shell that I layer up and wear on ... daily bike ride to work. The sleeves and torso are a tad longer than most fitted ... which is great for the riding position. The cut is flattering while offering plenty of protection from the elements. I ordered the turquoise and LOVE the color the reflective details are super bright (I always want more of them though); thank you for making a performance ... that's not black or some other dark color! It's definitely a ... weather piece, like 40 or less with a thin layer or short sleeve underneath. Normally this would be fine, however, it doesn't wick moisture or vent at all and within 5 minutes I'm cooking inside and in 30 minutes, when I get to work, I'm clammy and damp everywhere and so is the inside of the ... I've taken to turning it inside out to air dry when I take it off. When it does rain on ... ride in, I can't tell if I'm damp because the ... not water resistant or if it's ... body moisture. I'm torn because I love that I'm comfortable, colorful, stylish outside ... hot and damp inside when I wear this. Still haven't decided whether I keep or exchange this one as I'm disappointed in the performance ... love the style.
