I bought the long sleeve Summer Shade Tee to use as a beach cover ... recommended by ... Radiation Oncologist, since I am just finishing treatment and going to the beach for a week for a family vacation. I am a size medium, so got the large, hopping for a loose fit. I do wish I had chosen the extra large, to be a bit roomier, ... do love it the way it is for more than just a beach cover ... doctor said I could use it for swimming in the ocean, and after that, it will be a cooling factor. It is quite lovely.

Liked it so much I ordered a 2nd...
I was looking for something lightweight to wear hiking, biking or at the lake. ( The mosquitos are pretty bad here.) This shirt is perfect for a cover ... protection. I read the reviews about it fitting kinda small so I ordered the next size ... perfect fit.

Practical and Versitle
Love this top. I bought it for a sailing trip through the Caribbean. It was nice to have as a cover ... go on shore during the day and in the evenings when the temperature dropped. I also wore it in the water snorkeling. It dries quick and maintains its shape after getting wet and dry repeatedly. I am petite, 5' 3" and 115- ... large in the bust I can do a Small usually, ... got a Meduim and it is fits close to ... body without being tight. I got the white with pink trim and wore it with the Sayulita ... looked great together. It packs easily and could be thrown in a backpack for an extra layer on a hiking/camping trip too.

So far so good
I bought this in green and white as a cover ... trips to Maui and Jamaica this summer. I've never worn a rash guard in the water so that part remains to be seen. The fit was just right. It's ... enough that I can wear it with ... bikini. I tried it out on a run to see how much it would breathe. It was great! While the weather was warm, the shirt provided just enough warmth while still being very breathable. I can't wait to test it out on the islands!

good looking cover ...
Like the top ... grey was a little too dark for me . Reordered in a different color and went ... size to large for a cover ... which is what I wanted it to be. The med. did fit ... pull over a bathing suit or after playing a sport I wanted more room. Good weight to the material.

This is a nice swim cover ... if you'd rather throw on a shirt than sunblock constantly, ... it's pretty basic for the price. The waist is straight, a little hour glass shape to the cut would have made it a little more feminine I think, ... does what I wanted it to. I did return the pink for a different color. I like hot pink, ... hurt ... eyes.

Love these shorts!
I have this in two different colors and would love to have them in black and brown also--athleta, PLEASE make them in a dark brown?! They are perfect for over my swimsuit both in the water and as a cover up out of the water. They dry super fast and are so light and the material is super soft. I have also worn them walking. They are the perfect length--not too short and not so long that they make you hot.

Great fit for a curvy figure!
I am 5'4", 110 lbs, my hips are 31" ( I measured 3" below my navel), my upper thighs measure 21" each. Usually I have a problem with shorts being too tight in the thigh area, too tight in the backside and the gap thing in the waist is always there. Well, not with these shorts. A size 2 was perfect for me, and left just enough room in the thigh area without being boxy. The fabric is so soft, dries quickly, doesn't look wet when pulling on over a wet swimsuit bottom, and the mesh pockets are perfect for holding personal items. I was on vacation at the beach, I could've saved more room in my suitcase by wearing these for a cover up, a bike ride or walking along the beach. I want a pair in every color =)

Best shorts EVER!
I ordered these shorts as a cover up to a bathing suit I bought (which I also LOVE). As a petite, very athletic body, it is so hard for me to find shorts that fit right. I have a teeny waist, VERY muscular rear and quads. These shorts compliment my figure beautifully! I love the drawstring waist. At 5'2" the length is flattering. I ended up buying 2 more pairs. I wear them every day!!! Please keep making bottoms w/ a drawstring! LOVE these shorts!

Love these shorts!!!
I originally ordered a size 2 but they were too loose of a fit. So I exchanged them for a 0 and they fit perfectly. I never wear a size 0 so this surprised me. They are fitted but not tight. They do have some stretch to them. I am 5'4" and 118lbs. I like them because they are comfortable, quick drying and lightweight. I mostly wear them for casual wear but could easily use them as a swimsuit bottom cover up. I am considering ordering another pair in a different color...just waiting to see if they go on sale =) !!!

i love these shorts. I use them as a cover up over swim suit. I think anyone would look really good in these shorts. I now have two pair.

Perfect!
It's so hard to find swim shorts that have zippered pockets, and these have FOUR! So I had to buy them in multiple colors. They are also generously sized. Sometimes I'm a 10, sometimes a 12, and these are perfect in a 10. I'm almost 6 ft. tall, so I like that they have some length & cover everything.

I wish I had more of these!
This was the best pair of shorts I brought on my beach vacation. I wish I'd brought more and in different colors (and I wish they had them in slightly longer versions as well). I used them for cover ... hiking, for the zip line, etc. They're light and comfy -- and have pockets for my room key and cash.

These shorts are great!
I use these shorts primarily for kayaking. They have pockets, dry quickly, and fit great. They stand up to an active life. I've worn them to family swim parties and I love them for their cover (if one wants to be modest).

Great board short
I bought these for my trip to Mexico and they were great. From jumping in the pool to wearing them in town they were cute and long enough to cover but short enough to not make me feel frumpy. I bought a medium. I'm 5'7" and 145lbs and they fit very nicely.

Cute shorts for everyday wear
I purchased these shorts not for workout, but for everyday wear. The fit is cute and flattering. My mom tried them on as well - she has a smaller waist than me, larger hips than me and bigger thighs. They were flattering on her too. These shorts would not be good workout shorts for me (running, yoga, walking). However, they are comfortable and perfect for everyday wear. The lightweight, stretchy fabric makes them great for hot weather. I have not tried them in the water. I think the length is just right - long enough to cover everything, but short enough to show off those legs.

perfect ...
I've been looking for ... long time....I finally found some that look great and are comfortable. I am 5'4", 140lbs, have a pear shape and am fairly muscular so ... pants tend to be too tight in my thighs and big in my waist but these are perfect and have just the right amount of stretch to be super comfy. The length is very flattering for my muscley legs. They wash great and don't wrinkle too much. I ended up ordering 2 more after I got the first ones! Love the stitching accents as well.

Love, love, love these ... They fit really cute and were true to size. How often do you pick something off a rack to try and it fits right off the bat, let alone from a catalog! Very impressed! I was looking for a crisp white pair of ... last summer to replace an old pair, and never found one I found remotely attractive, so I gave up. I saw these and ordered them spur if the moment, but was afraid they would be too ... They are just right, and fit just below my natural waist, on my upper hip. They have great drawstring laces inside if you want to make a bit more snug which does not cause bunching in the waist. The fabric is crisp and light weight. I do not usually spend this much on ... but I am definitely sold on what quality costs!

Not feeling the love on these.....
I bought the white and grey in my normal size 8 and they fit fine but the small pockets in the back won't look good on many butts unless you are very athletic or have a body builder-type shape like the model. Which begs the question - why is Athleta always using the same model to show pants and not regular size women?Another con is if you sit for long perods, the fabric wrinkles and tends to ride up which bugs the you know-what out of me! .

Almost worked...
I love everything about this ... but one more inch in length would make it more wearable for anyone over 35. It's flattering in the back, the legs opening is just wide enough without flaring, but just slightly too ... me to feel comfortable sitting down. They're made to sit lower on the hips, but the crotch then is too low; there's an extra inch or two that's noticeable from the front. If the ... pulled up to where the inseam usually is in Athleta ... then the waist is too high and baggy, and the ... look like hotpants. One inch in the crotch and length would make all the difference.

Too small for my taste
I'm not liking these ... am usually a size 12 (I am 5ft 4" 158lbs)and I think I could have gone up a size in these ... They are just a little too tight for me. My husband advised that they were giving me a slight weggie in the front... not a good look. I might try going up a size but I HATE doing that.

Perfect fit!
Finally, ... fit! I ordered another pair I am so pleased. I've had so much trouble for the last few years finding ... don't gape way out in the back as I am 5'7" and a size 6 pear shape (I have a defined waist smaller than my hips) . I'm 46 and a mom of 3 so I don't want low rise ... these fit just slightly below the waist so they are very comfortable and stylish, yet modest. They also have a flat drawstring on the inside that eliminates the very small gape these have on me. Sometimes I tie it, sometimes I don't. I also like that these ... can be rolled up twice for a shorter (yet still modest) look, or unsnapped and unrolled for more of a walking ... think they are more flattering rolled up, but I like the versatility.

everyday ...
I own these ... navy, pink, and grey. I enjoy the tab to roll them up and have worn them on super hot days with heat relief. They are so comfortable that I could sleep in them. The tie on the inside helps cinch them up when you loose weight. The size is true but there is lee way for gaining or loosing weight. I like these ...

Great ...
These ... do seem to run a little bit big. I am 5'7", 127 lbs, and the 2 fits me perfectly with a little room to spare. If I wanted to wear them to look fitted/slightly tight (how I usually wear my clothes), they would be too big. But I bought them for hiking and traveling overseas, so a little extra room is perfect. This is my first time shopping at Athleta, but in the other clothes I bought, the 2 was usually too small and 4 fit well except these ... 2 was perfect. They are not low cut but also not high waisted, and the fabric is really soft. I am about to order a second color. The zipper pockets are great if you have an ID, passport, hotel key, etc. to keep safe, and the little cargo pockets in front & back can carry non valuables or bigger stuff. I think the roll up is cute but I could see how it could make some women's legs rub together (this is not an issue with me). Rolled up they are ... enough for comfort but still have more than enough coverage of your butt/upper thigh. Overall, I am very pleased!

Finally a comfortable all around great ...
I have finally found the ... I've been searching for. The material is just right, light, comfortable, breathable. The style is great. The length is even better with two options. The colors are fabulous. And the style is fun but classic. I would recommend maybe buying a size up from what you normally wear. You can pull them up over your swim bottoms at the beach with flip flops, or pair them with your favorite polo and docksiders. I am so happy I have found the ... I've been searching for I'm getting a couple pairs in other colors and wearing them all summer long!

Great fit!
I purchased this ... my everyday usage. I llike the light cotton material. I have several dipper ... well, and I like them, but coastal cargo ... have more "cotton" like feeling. I am 5'5" so I will probablly not wear them without roll up the bottom, cause that might be a too long for me, but when it rolles up and snap, it is perfect, not too ... not too long. I can wear it for hiking, or to just go out and about in town.

Cargo ...
I love these ... My only complaints are about the material and the adjustable leg length. The material needs to be different. I hate ironing and it goads me to have to iron hiking ... but if I don't the back pockets (cargo flaps) crinkle up after washing and stick out. My other complaint is about the roll up legs with snaps. I'm 5'3" and I *always* have to roll up my ... These ... only roll twice before I reach the snap closure and, therefore, don't stay rolled. They should roll at least three times so they'll stay rolled up. Otherwise, these ... very, very comfortable. The hike I wore them on involved harnesses at one point and the ... did great, ... all that they were supposed to cover. They're lightweight and I like the drawstring; it gives me a little extra security with the fit.

Great casual ... but size differs from color to color
I first bought the pink pair in size 4, and found them quite loose for their semi fitted catalog description. I am 5'3", 120lbs with larger legs. I typically find semi fitted tight in the butt, so I would describe these ... more as 'loose' fitting. BUT, when I ordered these blue ones, they were much tighter in the rear end than the pink... so not sure what to call them! I will call them comfortable and cute. The colors I have are a bit intense, but not obnoxious. I like the zipper pockets. The snap cuff allows you to easily roll them up for a more attractive length. My legs are ... rolled up they hit me mid lower thigh. Great every day ...

The perfect length
I am 5'1" and I have a hard time finding ... longer, but not too long. These ones are great when you roll them up. They aren't nearly as cute when left long, even on a tall person I'd say. Plus they have a draw string on the inside so they are always a snug fit in the waist - even on hot days when they seem to stretch out a little. The only thing about these ... don't like as much are the zippered pockets. They are a heavy metal which make it difficult to get in and out of them and are though on the hands and nails. Do NOT wear these ... get a manicure! That being said, I love these ...

Don''t buy if you like to use pockets
I was so excited about these ... until I realized how much I use my pockets. Every time I put my hands in or out they were scraped by the zipper. I had read a similar review and thought it would be no big deal. I was wrong. Love the ... but wouldn't recommend them. I hate to carry a purse when I'm out and about. I love to throw my phone in my pocket or my keys. Forget it....unless you want to cut up your hands. Too bad.

I'm a young at-heart traveller trapped in a ... slightly overweight fifty year-old body. I was looking for ... little flare to the leg for comfort and to flatter my figure. These ... great for that. Also wanted pockets so I could avoid carrying a purse. I loved the zipped pockets for travel--passport and small wallet in one and cell phone in the other. No need to dig (or carry) in a purse for essentials. Rise was as expected but is low for me. Too big in the waist but that is usually problem for me. Drawstring helps. I found that the ... fit when I put them on in the morning but they stretch out of shape (and sag) by the afternoon. I used the drawstring to hold them up. The light weight fabric is great for travel and hot climates but I'm not sure how it will hold up to wear and washing.

Nice Quality Sweater
I don't usually pay this much for a sweater, but after reading the reviews I made the splurge and I am really happy I did. It is a nice quality sweater, thick and well made, but not too heavy. I am 5'3" and 120 lbs. and I ordered the size small in the gray. I lift weights a lot so my arms are a little muscular, but my waist is really small. I was worried that it would be too tight on my arms and too loose around my waist, but it fit perfectly everywhere. I also wanted it long enough to cover my bottom, so I could wear it with leggings or skinny jeans, and boots, and it is just the right length. I've worn it several times, and I like it so much that I splurged again and bought the same sweater in olive. They are great additions to my wardrobe!

great sweater
I like to wear this as a warm cover ... several activities. I spent the weekend at a spa and eneded ... wearing this to yoga and then as a walk around jacket.

Not perfect
I coveted this sweater and finally splurged as a birthday present to myself. I'm glad I got it. It is functional, attractive, and true to size, but I don't love it as much as I thought I would. Agree with another reviewer who noted it is not flattering to those of us with hips and butt--especially when zipped. This is partly due to the bulk of the unnecessary pockets and partly due to the shape and way the sweater hangs. I have taken to only wearing it open. It would be better with some kind of a defined waist and more pronounced a line down from there (contrary to the photo, it hangs straight). Secondly, the contrasting cuffs and hem are a slightly different weight from the material of the body, which causes them to pucker and flip out here and there in an odd way. Kind of makes the sweater seem cheap. All that said, I do find myself living in it. It is warm, I like the hood and print, the length makes it a good cover ... easy to care for compared to other wool sweaters. It isn't super soft, but I personally don't find it itchy. Bottom line: overpriced and not perfect, but...happy birthday to me.

Perfect!
I was looking for a great travel sundress and this is just perfect! Very flattering and versatile. It could work as a cover ... casual dress or can be dressed ... night out. I will be ordering a second.

Perfect Travel Dress
This is the perfect travel dress. I initially purchased it for a cruise and it was the perfect choice. It easily packs ... comes out of the suitcase wrinkle free. The hidden pocked below the bodice is great to stash away your ID and some cash for outings so that you do not have to carry a bag with you. It is versatile enough to wear for dinner with nice sandels or as a cute cover ... over your bathing suit while you are out on excursions. The only issue I had was that the cut in the chest is a little lower than I would normally wear. It is not super revealing, just a little more than I am used to. I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

Really cute but beware of squash factor if you are busty...
I got this in black in an 8 petite (it's still a little long and I'm on the tall side for a petite) The bottom part fits perfectly and is extremely flattering skims over lower half, does not show lumps and bumps. Top section is a different story. My 36 DDs are squished and definitely not ... much as I would like. Major cleavage but not in a good way. I struggle with being a 6 on my lower body and a 10 on the top tough to find a dress that fits both. I did order it in 2 more colors because of the light weight and quick dry fabric. Great for when I'm out on the boat and don't want to wear a bathing suit and cover ... would have given 4 stars if the halter fit better and the length was more in line with a petite. Still, very cute super casual dress.

Lovely dress, if you''re not too shy
This dress is just as expected in all ways (except one, which I'll address in a bit). It's pretty, versatile, and fairly wrinkle free. The fabric is so wonderfully lightweight without being sheer (I have the purple and blue). The length is perfect. (I ordered a petite in addition to my normal length 6 as I wanted one just a touch shorter, and both fit the same aside from length.) I recommend taking out the pads before you wash or you'll never get them back into the right shape though. Overall, I recommend this dress to everyone who is not shy. Why not the shy ones? While I love the dress in all other ways, both of mine share one challenge- cleavage! I'm between a B and C cup, pretty ordinary. And I'm not shy about showing some cleavage, but in this dress there simply is not enough coverage ... top because of the depth of the V- it's deeper than it looks. I didn't truly heed the reviewers' warnings because the catalog picture looked well ... really liked the look of the dress. Trust the reviewers, my friends. The top of this dress is revealing- as in "go ahead and check out the entire contour of my breast from your view sitting beside me" revealing. If you're shy, steer clear. If not though, go for it and you won't be disappointed (unless you're over a C ... top- it won't cover you, sorry!)

busty girls need not apply
I loved the look, the color,( indigo) the material was not at all what I was expecting, there wasn't much to it really. And to be honest I was shocked that I spent nearly $80 for it. The zipper got stuck in the material making it tough and awkward to zip ... am 5'9" and a 38 C,(naturally) I'd say I'm a big boned girl, and as much as I wanted the top to support and cover, it just couldn't.I'm a little too modest for that much exposure! Sadly I sent it back, but I'll keep trying

Too revealing.
Not a versatile dress. Lots of cleavage for a 36D (lots) and material gapped a bit under the arm. The waist and hips were a bit too tight and even the black color did not hide my belly button dimple! I didn't think a larger size would cover more so I didn't try it. I thought the little zipper pocket was cute and I liked the contrast stitching but I wouldn't feel comfortable around town with the kids in it. I also thought it was too expensive.

The Winter Skort
I have 3 of the lighter weight skorts and absolutely live in them. I was looking for a winter version and ordered this one. Well duh! Had I read the description more carefully I would have realized that this is a skirt not a skort! That said, it is still a great skirt and I will keep it. The fabric is a bit stiff but I anticipate that it will soften up after one or two washings. If you are between sizes you might want to go up. I ordered a 6 in this. I am 5'4", 120 pounds.

I am very happy with the design and overall fit of this skirt. Corduroy often is unflattering to my figure yet this one is a thin, small and nicely fitted. It can be worn dressed up or down. What a terrific skirt to wear through out the fall/winter seasons. I'm wearing it presently with flats but as soon as it snows...I'll wear it with my boots. I've picked this skirt up in every color, it's that terrific!

so far okay
Ordered an 8 tall in rye as I needed this to cover my knees. One thing you can't see in the picture is that it has contrasting stitching in the same color as the waist fabric. It will limit what I wear it with, but it's not worth returning over. In general, can't wait to wear this skirt. I have ... legs, and the 8 Tall hits just below my knees. I usually wear between a 6 and 8 in most brands for low rise pants and ordered an 8 as I tend to wear a 10 in mid rise pants. The 8 fit perfectly despite some reservations. I'm 5'6" and 165 pounds. Need to lose a bit of weight but it's mostly muscle and bone. It is a bit "tight" around my thighs, but I have athletic thighs and no hips to speak of, so I always expect to either have stuff tight around the thighs or loose on the hips. Hope this will become a staple in my wardrobe.

More cute and comfortable than slimming
I am 5'9", 135 pounds and thick waisted so I really relied on other reviewers to determine what size to order. I decided to be cautious and order the 8 -- I tend to wear things low on my hips and there is an internal drawstring to help. I probably could have gotten by with the 6 but I think I'm glad I ordered the 8. I hate the feel of something tight around my waist and this fit is definitely casual and comfortable. The zipper does not lay flat -- unfortunate for me since my stomach doesn't lay very flat either :) This is why I didn't give it 5 stars, it bumps out a little in the worst spot for me but no big deal as I will wear longer tops that will cover it anyway. The fabric is surprisingly soft and light with a little bit of stretch, so nice. Overall I love it with a sweater, tights and boots!

Love it!
I am a teacher, so, when shopping for clothes, I need something I can wear comfortably, throw in the washer without much thought, and can wear to church on Sundays. These skirts hit the mark in all areas. I can dress them up or down. They are neither too long, nor too ... If I could change one thing it would be to make them lined on the inside, so they don't crawl up when walking at a fast pace. Other than that, they are super!!!

Cute, but rides up a bit.
Great skirt that can be dressed up or down. The stretchy, cordy material feels nice, but I find the skirt rides up a bit as I walk. I keep finding myself pulling it back down to my hips. There's a tie on the inside; not quite sure what it's for. Overall, I'm glad I got it. I'd give it a 5 if not for the riding up problem.

Cute, but the waist gaps- in the front!
I love the feel of the corduroy. The skirt has a nice fit and drapes very nicely. I was excited about it and even thought the drawstring inside the waist would contribute to a better fit. However, when I actually put the skirt on with a cute, snug t neck, the waistband gapped at the front! It doesn't like to lie flat against your belly, so makes even a flat belly look like it's protruding- not hot. That was sad because otherwise, the fit was great and it was so comfortable! If I knew that I'd only be wearing it with bulkier sweaters that cover the waistband, I would probably keep it, but since I tend to wear more form fitting tops, this has to go back. Bummer. Incidentally, I'm 5'5, wear a 6-8 and the 6 was a perfect fit, sat below my hips and draped well.

Fabric too stiff for style
While this skirt is comfortable and I will keep it, it flares out at the bottom. I think that this skirt would work much better in a different/lighter fabric. It ends up looking kind of bell like. Perhaps with additional washings, it will soften up and hang better. Color is rich dark blue and that's why I'm keeping it.

Just okay
I got the gray color of this skirt and ordered it in my regular Athleta size 2 (I am 5'4, 110 pounds). The color is perfect, but I was a little disappointed with fit of the skirt. The waistband of the skirt is not that flattering and the bottom flares out more than expected. It also gets wrinkled after sitting in it, which is not usually the case with cord material. I am keeping it because I need a skirt of this color, but will probably wear it with a heavier sweater to cover the waistband of the skirt.

I like this skirt. I think it will be something I wear a lot in the fall since it will transition from bare legs to tights and boots pretty well. It's a comfortable skirt with good stretch. The length is good for wearing to work (knee length), but it rides up a little around my legs, so I'm conscious of pulling it down. It would be better with a smooth lining to help with riding up, especially when I start to wear tights.

My sister was wearing this skort and I had to have one! She wore it to a dinner at my house and dressed it up a little -- and it looked great. I went online and there was only one color that had my size :( I love the fit -- it's comfy and soft and fits perfectly. The spandex ... underneath are EXACTLY what I have been looking for. I bought this for golf, but it really is so cute and so comfortable I plan to wear it as often as possible! It's a great choice for running errands and picking the kids up after school. I am 5'11", 145# and went with the M Tall. Fit perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised by the feel and quality of the inner ... Its meshy and very soft and cool. This skirt is true to size. Washes up nicely. Bought it to wear golfing and it did not disappoint. So comfortable in 90 degree weather for all 18 holes. Fabric is great. ... underneath stayed where they were supposed to, did not ride up at all. Will wear this skirt to walk and run in.

best skort I''ve tried
I'm a strong 200 lbs, size 14 on bottom, sometimes L and sometimes XL depending on style. Size L is slightly snug but I think XL would be too big, so I'm sticking with the L. I don't like ... because of how they bunch up between my thighs, so skorts have always been a good summertime option for me because they look neater and feel more comfortable on my body than do ... I've tried a variety of styles over the past few years (including some from a competing company that has a 9 in its name), and this is the best looking, most comfortable, most versatile skort I've ever worn. Could dress up for work or an evening event, or down for bumming around on a weekend, or even use for a workout (though to me the fabric would feel a bit too hefty for a hot summertime workout). The length is absolutely perfect, ... part of my thighs I don't want to show, yet shows off the nice definition I have just above the knees. Love the hand of the fabric, love the carbon color, goes with everything... I'll definitely be back for more of these.

The perfect skort!
Great length, smooth fit and love the hidden pocket! It's a little thicker than most skorts I've tried and I really like it because I'm tall and rather curvy and this skort is just the ticket to cover those areas that need it. I wear it to the grocery store, the gym, to my kids' school and the pool. I got a tall and it fits above the knee very nicely. I originally purchased the blue one because I needed it for my "officials" uniform for my kids swim team but I wear it everywhere. I am going to get another one as soon as I decide on a color. I'd like to get one in each color it's so fantastic.

Fabulous Skort!
This skort is great! I originally purchased for golf and general activewear. It will be great for both. It has a very nice compression ... beneath that does not ride up. I ordered both the gray and the black in a XLT. I am 5'8", athletic build, and carry extra weight (about 25 pounds)--generally wear 14 in street clothes

I love this skort! The material feels great, hangs beautifully, and the ... underneath are wonderfully long and don't roll up (a problem with the super ... ones). I'm in the over 40 crowd and although I'm a fitness instructor, I prefer to be ... up with the longer look because it looks more professional. I have been searching for the perfect skort for several years now, and I had almost given up. I debated buying the sweet skort, since the price was more than I wanted to spend. However, I am very glad that I made the purchase. I wanted a skort that I could wear for every day activities with my family that would be comfortable, look great, and be versatile enough to dress up or down. This skort fits the bill. I ordered grey, and it is a lovely shade. Goes with everything. I am 5 foot 4 inches tall and usually wear a size 8 pant/skirt. Based on the reviews I decided to order the medium tall, so that I would have more coverage. I also wanted the inseam on the ... 6 inches instead of four. The skort hits above the knee, and is great when I sit down. I took it on vacation, wore it for a day of sightseeing. It was cool and comfortable in the July heat. I wore it with a t shirt and white keds during the day and a pretty top and sandals at night. It was a little bit wrinkled when I took it our of the suitcase, but the wrinkles came out while I was wearing it. It washed well, but is a little bit wrinkled after it dried. It cannot be ironed. That is why I gave it 4 stars. I like the pocket on the side seam.

I Love This Skort!!!!
I Love This Skort!!! This fits like a dream and is incredibly comfortable. I wear it running around doing erronds on ... days off. It's cool in the summer heat and just long enough to cover all the right places. I think I now prefer wearing it over a pair of ... warm day running around. Water just runs off along with ... dogs drul when we go on our walks. I will be getting another one in another color because one is just not enough for as much as I were it.

Like everyone else who's willing to admit it, my body shape as I age is definitely becoming more pear like. This skort looked great on me (size 10) without making me look bottom heavy. It also was just long enough to cover most of ... thighs ... still ... enough that I felt stylish. Definitely one of ... best buys!

Cute skort
I have this skort in the light sand color. The color is a bit darker in person I think than how it looked on my computer ... it's okay. The overall fit is great. I'm 5"10", 150 and I got the medium regular length. It hits about mid thigh which I like. I like the ... underneath, great fabric. The only thing I don't love about this skort is the weird loop/buckle thing on the back. It kind of bunches ... doesn't lay flat and I'm not sure what it's supposed to be there for anyway. It's not a major problem for me b/c the shirts I'll wear this with will cover that loop ... if there's one thing I'd change it would be to get rid of that part.

Great skirt...but
Just got this in the mail today. Tried it on & loved it, until I turned around. Oh yeah, I do remember reading a few reviews mentioning the back belt loop...IT IS ODD! Fits great everywhere, ... does bunch in the back right under that belt loop where the awkward snap is. Hopefully I can wear a cami or tank untucked to cover that area so it doesn't show. Other than that...so comfy!!!! Can't wait to wear it on my vacation.

Love this skort and it's really comfortable for hiking, ... 2 problems... First, I washed it once and the center seam in the ... ripped open. It was way too much to pay for something that didn't last through a single trip through the laundry. Second, there's a weird decorative tab with a metal buckle at the back of the waist that doesn't sit flat when it's on. My tops are long enough to cover that, ... bunches ... weird and unflattering way, so if you can't hide it with something, it will look odd. Also, the buckle comes off in the laundry and if you don't put it back, the back looks even worse. If Athleta would fix those things, it'd be just about perfect...

I am an avid runner and it's always a challenge to find ... fit - are comfortable and don't ride ... cover many miles. They didn't get too hot - chafe my legs or ride too high or low. The waist was a bit loose - but the draw string snugs ... nicely and it doesn't feel tight on the waist at all. I have this ... now in three different colors and they are the only ones I pull from the closet when I go out for a run. They wash really well - color doesn't fade and they don't shrink (although I do line dry them)...the size fit great as well. Will look for more colors in this wonderful pair of running ...

These are probably my new favorite running ... They are lightweight and CUTE. I'm 5'10 and about 155. I ordered a Medium since several reviewers said these run large. They are the perfect length and fit to be flattering ... cover enough to be comfortable to be seen in public. Exactly What I Was Looking For!
These ... exactly what I was looking for, but didn't know if I could find! They are as light as a feather, never get in the way during working out, and cover perfectly both in length and the mesh ... inside. I sometimes have had trouble finding a ... fits my larger hips, but took a gamble based on the excellent reviews and actually ordered one size smaller (I am between a M & L and went with the M). I liked the first pair that came in the mail so much that I now have all of the other colors also!

perfect running ... - you didnt even need this review to tell you that - the hundreds of other reviewers telling you these are the best ... should suffice, but here I am echoeing all their claims. I like the length, enough to cover my bum but still breathe and move as I'm running along. Super lightweight and soft. I kind of wish they had a hidden pocket somewhere, but you know I'll take it.

These are my favorite running ...
I am 5' 7" and about 125 pounds with a small tummy pooch (that I can't get rid of no matter how I try!). I ordered size small and they are so comfortable, they are probably the most comfortable running ... own. They are not too tight in the waist and not too ... Everyone else is wearing Nike and Adidas ... love the fact that these are different and have a very current and cool design which isn't too much or too tacky. I also bought the white sleeveless twist top to go along with it, and it's also the most comfortable and flattering top. It's very subtle, and long enough to cover my belly. This outfit was expensive for me, ... definitely worth the money.

I was reluctant to try ... but the hot yoga class I've been taking is just too hot for pants and capris, so I tried the kickbooty ... SO surprised! These are the Best!
I love these ... have them in white and just bought a black pair. They are great for ... without feeling like you are ... They are cute! I wear them in and out of the water all day long at the lake. For years I was looking for a pair that would fall below my thighs and still be cute. These fall just below the thigh so they are still ... cover. I am so glad to have found them! Last year the mediums fit me perfectly when I was a size 8-10. This year I am a size 6-8 and the smalls fit perfectly. The peace of mind and cuteness make them worth the price.

These ... cute. I bought them thinking they would be a good cover ... beach. They are great and light weight. Not sure how they will do in the water or how quick they will dry. They do not have a liner which makes them good for a cover ... not too sure how long they would be. They are longer than expected and not a boy ... length ... great as an alternative coverup.

Wonderful active fit
Great active ... pole dancing. I've been looking for something to cover my ample bottom besides the skimpy pole dancing ... these work wonderful. The only issue that sometimes occurs is the hemline rolling ... which in pole dancing is a don't care.

I am a size 6 and I could exercise until I fall out and I would still have cellulite on the front of my thighs. Oh lucky me!!! With these ... can cover my thighs and wear a bikini top and still be comfortable and cool out on the river.

A friend raved about the bettona pants and I wanted to try them, ... wasn't sure about the different lengths, so I started here. I knew I would wear a bermuda style a lot in the summer. They fit great and I like the feel of the material. I can see myself wearing these pants all the time because they are so comfortable. Another benefit is the pockets--their placement helps cover ... underwear lines. Overall a good buy! I would definitely recommend them.

These are very comfortable and easy to wear. The only thing I was a little surprised about was the rise. I feel the rise is a bit lower than I expected, ... they are not uncomfortable. They cover all the right spots. I got a Medium and I'm 5'4" 145 lbs. Maybe I should have taken a Large even though everything else fits nicely. They feel delicious on. The fabric is perfect. Wish they were at a lower cost point, however.

Great length, well made, love details !
Love the length and the cut on these ... am about a size 16 and have some booty going on so I got them in 1x. The length is just right, ending at the thinnest part of my leg at the knee, and leg width is just right as well. Super comfortable and cute. As I mentioned in review for the Bettona boyfriend pants- I find Athleta's rises to be a bit lower than indicated. Not much, just a little. Personally I would love to have a rise on pants, skorts, ... bathing suits that actually comes to my belly button. That would be the perfect cover for the extra belly. That said, thanks for making these in plus sizes for those of us who aren't tiny with a flat belly. Other than wishing the they came ... just a little bit higher, they are pretty flattering, very comfortable, and will be my favorite wear around the house ... summer!

If between sizes, order two
I was not sure if I needed a size small or medium. Athleta sent me both and send me a label to return. the one that did not fit free of charge. It was so easy to drop off the one that was too small at the ... store. Athleta sent me an e mail when they received the return and refunded my credit card. There was nothing to worry about. That is great customer service. I was able to try both of them on at home. This is a perfect ... hiking or traveling. The fabric feels great and moves with you, providing maximum comfort. I like the longer length to cover my thighs. Definitely worth it.

these fit like a glove! i have issues with gaps in the back waist area due to my behind but these do not do that and are low rise (what i prefer) and fit very comfortable and dont pull or tug in the groin area. very cute and highly recommend! day or eve use. can dress up or down!

I love these ... Great weight material, great colors (I have both the Haystack and the blue - love them both!) I have been wearing size 6 for a while now in Athleta and most other clothes. I'm 5'3" 124 lbs., very balanced build, maybe a little shorter in torso, longer in legs. Size 6 in this ... clownish on me, so returned for size 4 - still plenty big, loose, comfy and tie in waist helps keep 'em up. If they were sexy ... I'm sure I could go for a 2 with a snug fit, but they are NOT sexy ... practical, comfortable, good for all sorts of outdoor activities. Durable and fun, highly recommended! They wash up great, no ironing needed, and my cargo pockets are laying flat! My energy level rises as soon as I put them on! Depending on your build, like me, you might try ordering a size down. They do seem to run big!

I ordered this style of shorts in the spring and LOVED it so much I got another pair. I like how the fabric moves as I move and the fit is true to size. I literally opened up the package - put it on and it fit great. The material doesn't hike - chafe or ride up. It goes well with casual t shirts, tank tops or even a hoodie. I highly recommend this as an every day - active short and one that I have taken many airplane rides with...overall great product!

GREAT ...
I like a heavier material for ... find it is more concealing of any not so-smooth areas of the back side. These are a perfect, thicker cotton - canvas look but very soft. The length is thigh ... which is great for those of us whose field hockey thighs haven't played field hockey in many, many years. And speaking of thighs, I was worried the cargo pockets may not be flattering in adding girth, but they are fine. I am 5'5" and don't own a scale but guessing 130lbs. I am currently between a 4 and a 6 as I've given up nursing but not the caloric intake of a nursing mom! So - as other reviewers have noted, these run a bit on the bigger side - the 4 fits me to a T. Also - the belt loops add a funky look. I want a pair in every color, but these are a bit steep on a school teacher's budget!

Love these ... looking for a longer cargo ... casual but not a sloppy fit. These ... can be easily dressed up or worn out on a hike. They feel great

I want to love these shorts and I aaalmost do, but they're just a tad unflattering for my body type, which is: 5'7" 145 pounds with athletic meaty legs and a full butt. ;) The size 10 fits perfectly and the hidden drawstring waist is a dream! Adding bulky pockets to the thigh is not the best look for me but also the fabric is particularly thick. Very durable. Very very very durable shorts. I would use these on a trip to India as they are long enough (just cover the knee) to be acceptable and you could easily wash them by beating them on a rock without damaging them. HA!

Fit and look great...
I love the ... because they fit me perfectly and don't bag way out after wearing them awhile. I roll them up once and even than they aren't too ... I'm in my forties and don't need to look like my 20 year old but I'm not my mom either. Very stylish and I can dress them up or down. Only complaint is that the snaps aren't too strong. I do fine as long as I wear a belt but that's what I would improve on. Otherwise very flattering and comfortable.

Had I known, would have bought more
I love these ... They are made of a thick cotton material. They don't ride up , no vpl, and are stylish to boot. They are good for cool and warm weather. I don't think I'd want to wear them on a really hot day because they are a bit long (hit a little above the knee). I bought the 4, which is what I usually wear and my inseam is 30". The only minus is the fact that they will need a touch of the iron, even though I hung them up right after washing. I bought them during a promotion, so I'll have to think about buying another pair for full price.

Great fit
These are by far the best ... have found! They are just the right length - I was afraid they would be tight over my muscular thighs (I have trouble with straight fit) but they were awesome. I did size up and the waist is a little large, but they look and feel great!

Nice short, time will tell
I agree with some of the reviewers that the colors are kind of gross. The online representation is NOT what you get in reality (and I have a decent monitor). The olive is more like a brown with green tones (which I like) and the indigo is more like a periwinkle (light). The fabric is really nice--smooth, broken in feel, and slightly stretchy. Rise is a little low for me and for a cargo short like this, IMO. The biggest issue I have is the snap. Why have a snap? Why not have a button? It's a snap that pops really easily too so they added a string that you tie to keep it all wrapped up. That seems overwrought--just make a button! The fit is kind of up in the air for me. I got two different sizes and the smaller one was too tight it seemed (at first) and the larger one seemed to fit. But after a day of wearing the larger size, it's slipping down and I think I should have gone with the tighter one as it seems now like the fabric stretches quite a bit... Overall, a decent value for an organic short and the fabric is great :) I wish there were better colors for a cargo short--like lt or dk grey and army green...

These ... really cute and have interesting details but they are also small. Order one size up if you have curves
