dance and workout tank tops - reviews

Love this shirt!
I have been practicing hot vinyasa yoga for the past six months and have been on the search for good clothes to wear. I love this ... I'm a 34C and sometimes experience some "spill over" in down dog in tops with built in bras. I was worried that the V neck in this shirt would cause a problem, but it was fine! I didn't have to worry about the ladies and the seaming is very flattering. I love the way the back looks. The material feels substantial and I'm not afraid of ruining it by accidentally scraping against something. I'm planning on purchasing it in more colors. I'm 5'2", 125 lbs, and am usually between a small or a medium in most brands. I originally ordered a medium and it was too big, but the small is perfect.

Great workout shirt
Love this piece for working out, or as a baselayer paired with something else -- to wear all day. Support is better than expected and coverage is better than expected .. nothing hanging out (I'm a 36C). I am a size 6 but with bust size, went with the Medium and it's perfect. Great coverage up ... still form fitting/flattering on waist and hips. I'm trim but not perfect (who is?), and this holds everything/smooths everything out very well. The 'lines' or seams on the front, further flatter your figure.. Cool design on back. Bought Purple and Olive Heather, both awesome and versatile.

Great yoga ...
I took the plunge and bought this ... because I was tired of buying yoga tops that stretched out or started to fall apart after a few washings. So far, several washings into the relationship, I love this one. I am 5'4" and a bit; I don't weigh myself, but I am typically a size 4 or a small and a 34C. The small fit perfectly here. The bonus was that it was long enough, since I am long waisted - there was no "am I inadvertently showing more skin?" moments during inversions, backbends, etc. I paired it with the Tic Tac Toe capris and was fine. The waist is not too tight. In fact, I was worried it was too loose and would ride up. No. It stays where it belongs, and you don't feel like you are wearing a yoga corset. I will be acquiring more tanks like this one.

Love this ...
I bought this ... wear with the purple swagger skort. It is a beautiful match (perfect shade of purple to wear with the skort). It fit everywhere except the length. I am 5'5" and 132# and 36D and I purchased a medium. Most Athleta tops are long on me, but I put this is a hot water wash and dried (which I never do with tennis apparel because of shrinkage) and it shrunk to the perfect length for me but no other shrinkage. Great support -- doesn't need a bra ... more support. The back is a beautiful design and the seams are very slimming and flattering.

What a great ...
I ordered this ... heather gray and want all the colors now! I wear a 32C bra and am 5'1" tall and ordered the small which fits perfectly. Went walking yesterday and felt great support and got a few compliments along the way. By the way I'm 59 and feel very sexy in it!

Equator Tank please don''t go away
I love this ... so much that I have 5 of them (2 in a duplicate color). I initially ordered a LT, which is my standard size in almost all clothing lines; however, the LT was too tight in the shoulders and across the chest. I reluctantly exchanged it for XLT (due to ego more than anything), and am so glad I did. It fits and performs as the narrative claims. I use them for running outside and inside. I fully intend to wear them for mountain biking, and kayaking, when the season begins. They are thicker in material, so may feel a little hotter in the warm months, but after children and a changing middle aged body, I will endure the warmth for the support and coverage it provides. I am 46 years old. and 5' 9 1/2", 152-155 lbs, 38C, just for a frame of reference for others. I am in better than average physical condition, but have a stubborn midsection. This ... allows me to exercise without midsection movement!

so cute!
This ... fits almost perfectly. It is not too tight around the chest area (where a bra strap sits), and it is cut high enough at the armpits to cover what I call the "chicken wings". It comes with removable padding which I immediately removed. The length is just perfect. I have a long torso so some tops are just too short, and I don't care for super long ones either that make me look like I having nothing but torso. The fabric is not too tight and not too loose around the middle, and the straps in the back are very unique. It will be perfect for training and the gym. I am sure that it will do pretty well in yoga if I don't mind it riding up a bit in downdog, but that is hard to avoid unless you go skin tight and/or super long with your tops. I love it so much I am going to order another one in a different color.

Great yoga ...
I have now purchased two Equator Tanks. I am small chested (and self consciously so - especially in tighter workout gear) with a slight pooch in my stomach (from having kids). I need functional workout wear and if I can look (and feel!) stylish while I'm at it, that's a plus. I like this ... because I don't look or feel as tiny as I am on ... don't feel like my pooch shows (it is fitted without being tight and therefore, I don't feel like I look pregnant, which I'm not) and I like that it's a longer ... (therefore, it doesn't ride up in yoga and I find longer tops more flattering to my figure). And, it transitions well for when I'm running errands after the gym. I highly recommend this ...

This ... excellant surprise in that it looks elegant and sexy on and exceeds all my expectations. Although the ... V neck my DD's do not fall out of it but are supported and enhanced. Preview pics show the detail in the back which is nice but I like the simpler lines of the front. I do not like a lot of bells and whistles in my tops but rather that they simply enhance and support which this ... does! As so many of you do, I LIVE in my work out tops (when I am not AT work) and this one is elegant and beautifully sexy (without being overtly so). Oh and the mesh inside the bra area keeps you cool and dry as well. I want one in every color!

Finally, a ... kind of works!
I'm 5'2" and 140lbs with 34DD bra size. I have a fairly small and short torso and carry most of my weight in my legs, arms, and chest. I bought this ... small, and it fits me better than any other I have tried at Athleta. It's not impossible to put on and take off, and the built in bra isn't too small for me. If I were any bigger, however, it would not work. The space from chest to shoulder is more than I need but not enough to cause spilling out when doing inversions, my biggest issue with yoga tops. It's not too long or too wide around my torso. I love the back, although it is a bit wide for my small back. I haven't found anything that fits better (here or anywhere else), so I will definitely buy a couple more of these.

Good ... but not for running
I poured through the reviews to decide if this ... would be supportive enough for running. I read mixed reviews and really could not find anyone that seemed about my size who commented on the running/support aspect. I was also torn about the size but the reviews helped with that. It helped me when people gave specifics so I will do that. I wanted the ... "wear alone" ... running. I am 5'6" tall, 130 lbs, and a 34C (small C). I went with the Small size even though I generally wear Med. in Nike and most others. The Small was the right size except it is a little snug through the torso. But, with that said, I have a very "boy" shaped body with no waist so I think that part is just my body shape. The Med. would have been too loose in the chest. I will wear it alone for yoga and other workouts but it is definately NOT supportive enough for running if you are C cup or above. I had to wear another sports bra under. Otherwise it is a great ... back is nice and does accentuate the back muscles. I also took 15 min. to sew in the pads (after reading all the reviews) . Washed it a few times so far and that seems to work. Also, it is really not that low cut, I felt comfortable in it when wearing it alone and I am somewhat modest in showing cleavage.
