dance and workout tank tops - reviews

so cute!
This ... fits almost perfectly. It is not too tight around the chest area (where a bra strap sits), and it is cut high enough at the armpits to cover what I call the "chicken wings". It comes with removable padding which I immediately removed. The length is just perfect. I have a long torso so some tops are just too short, and I don't care for super long ones either that make me look like I having nothing but torso. The fabric is not too tight and not too loose around the middle, and the straps in the back are very unique. It will be perfect for training and the gym. I am sure that it will do pretty well in yoga if I don't mind it riding up a bit in downdog, but that is hard to avoid unless you go skin tight and/or super long with your tops. I love it so much I am going to order another one in a different color.

Great yoga ...
I have now purchased two Equator Tanks. I am small chested (and self consciously so - especially in tighter workout gear) with a slight pooch in my stomach (from having kids). I need functional workout wear and if I can look (and feel!) stylish while I'm at it, that's a plus. I like this ... because I don't look or feel as tiny as I am on ... don't feel like my pooch shows (it is fitted without being tight and therefore, I don't feel like I look pregnant, which I'm not) and I like that it's a longer ... (therefore, it doesn't ride up in yoga and I find longer tops more flattering to my figure). And, it transitions well for when I'm running errands after the gym. I highly recommend this ...

Finally a workout ... performs!
I ordered 2 Equator tanks after thoroughly ready the blogs...love the material and the fit. I have taught aerobics abd dance for 30 rears and these tops are the best I have ever purchased! Ready to order more!

Even better than I hoped!
I love this support tank. It is great for working out and yoga. The material is very wicking and doesn't get hot and sticky like some workout shirts. I am a small B cup and was able to use the ... active workouts and short amounts of running. I don't think it would be enough support were someone to use it for long distance, but that isn't a problem for me. I wish they were still on sale. I have the white, and I want more of them! As far as the size goes, I am usually between a small and a medium, and this ... fits me perfect in size small.

Perfect, after many tries
I ordered this ... replace one that I bought that came in too big. I am 5'10", 137 lbs and a 36" A-.. When I called in for sizing help, they told be I would be a medium and when the tops I ordered came in they were huge! This ... arrived in size small and was much better fitting. It was perfect in the ... not too loose in the bottom, even thought it could be a bit snugger, it is fine. With as little chest as I have, I don't need compression or a ton of support and don't want what I have flattened to pancakes. This is super cute and very flattering, from now on I am ordering a small!

This ... excellant surprise in that it looks elegant and sexy on and exceeds all my expectations. Although the ... V neck my DD's do not fall out of it but are supported and enhanced. Preview pics show the detail in the back which is nice but I like the simpler lines of the front. I do not like a lot of bells and whistles in my tops but rather that they simply enhance and support which this ... does! As so many of you do, I LIVE in my work out tops (when I am not AT work) and this one is elegant and beautifully sexy (without being overtly so). Oh and the mesh inside the bra area keeps you cool and dry as well. I want one in every color!

Easy to move
I wanted some ... style tops to wear to workout classes as t shirts keep me too hot and this style is very comfortable and attractive. I liked not having to wear a separate sports bra and the removable pads are a good idea for modesty. I think this ... accentuates my toned arms and shoulders and makes them look better plus it is not restrictive or binding for exercise of any type. I also like to wear a little color instead of everything black.

great ...
I love this ... have it in three colors. I use it for yoga and general gym workouts. It washes well. I'm not careful with my workout clothes. I put it in the washer and dyer and it comes out perfectly every time. I'm 5'2" and I usually wear a small or xsmall. I bought the x small in this ... regular kick booty pant (not petite) and they fit perfectly.

Finally, a ... kind of works!
I'm 5'2" and 140lbs with 34DD bra size. I have a fairly small and short torso and carry most of my weight in my legs, arms, and chest. I bought this ... small, and it fits me better than any other I have tried at Athleta. It's not impossible to put on and take off, and the built in bra isn't too small for me. If I were any bigger, however, it would not work. The space from chest to shoulder is more than I need but not enough to cause spilling out when doing inversions, my biggest issue with yoga tops. It's not too long or too wide around my torso. I love the back, although it is a bit wide for my small back. I haven't found anything that fits better (here or anywhere else), so I will definitely buy a couple more of these.

Good ... but not for running
I poured through the reviews to decide if this ... would be supportive enough for running. I read mixed reviews and really could not find anyone that seemed about my size who commented on the running/support aspect. I was also torn about the size but the reviews helped with that. It helped me when people gave specifics so I will do that. I wanted the ... "wear alone" ... running. I am 5'6" tall, 130 lbs, and a 34C (small C). I went with the Small size even though I generally wear Med. in Nike and most others. The Small was the right size except it is a little snug through the torso. But, with that said, I have a very "boy" shaped body with no waist so I think that part is just my body shape. The Med. would have been too loose in the chest. I will wear it alone for yoga and other workouts but it is definately NOT supportive enough for running if you are C cup or above. I had to wear another sports bra under. Otherwise it is a great ... back is nice and does accentuate the back muscles. I also took 15 min. to sew in the pads (after reading all the reviews) . Washed it a few times so far and that seems to work. Also, it is really not that low cut, I felt comfortable in it when wearing it alone and I am somewhat modest in showing cleavage.

Wanted to love it, but.....bad cup liners!!!
I am 6' tall and never have an easy time finding clothes that fit well and move well when I do. I so wanted to love this top--great colors and fabric, and the style is perfect for letting me sport a few of the muscles that have come from so much training and rowing. BUT, after my first wash (in a front loading european washing machine with no agitator in the middle) the cup liners (which I prefer since headlights are never attractive when your purpose is working out) are a disaster! Even on a gentle wash cycle, they fold in half and rotate and I have no idea how anyone is supposed to put enough fingers through the small slits in the sides of the cup interior lining to try to straighten them. I spent almost as much time trying to straighten out the two cups as I might spend on a good weight workout. Seriously, one day I had to give up and just find another ... because I couldn't continue. I do prefer some lining and wish these were sewn into the cups. They add zero bulk or padding, but do provide coverage. If this ... had sewn in cup liners, I'd buy 6 more. I still own 3 of these because they are so attractive I can't return them, but no more for me. Athleta, keep the ... but fix these liners!
