love it!
I needed a great ... would pack down small for travel and was made from a poly/spandex blend. After reading reviews about the ... running long I decided to go ahead and take a chance with ordering petite. I am 5'6" 125#. The 4 in petite ended up perfect! I am very pleased. The shale color is versatile too.

Great ... travel and feel good in. The color went with most shoes that I already have. I received many compliments on how I looked. Ageless ... nice to know that a 53 year old athlete can look good on the go with a little help.

Great for travel, easy to add a light sweater for chilly nights. doesn't wrinkle!

VERY flattering!
This ... fits like a DREAM! It skims my body perfectly and is extremely comfortable. I love the olive color as well. It's perfect for travel and will be worn often while cruising. I hope more colors become available in my size as I know I will be ordering again.

LOVE THIS ...
I love this ... travel and toss it in my suitcase every time. I bought an 8T after reading other reviews and could have gone with my standard 6T. I have broad shoulders and a wide ribcage, but am very fit and muscular- 155 & 5'8. A lot of others commented that this ran tight through the ribs and chest, but was a little loose on me. perfect travel ...
After reading other reviewers, I decided to order a smaller size. At 5' 10" 135 the size 6 fits perfectly. I never go braless, but this ... provides enough support that I can comfortably go with out a bra. (Doesn't smash, or create a "uniboob" either!) True, the fabric is sort of swimsuitish, but that adds to the comfort and packability of the ... heels, it is actually quite dressy. I plan to take it with me when I travel.

Love it
I love this ... Usually, I am not a big ... fan because it is hard for me to find one that fits well. But this ... fits like a glove and is super flattering. I definitely have some imperfections but this ... makes me look just about as perfect as can be. I have it in black, blue, violet, and 2 patterns as well. The other nice thing is that it's great for travel, light weight, and doesn't easily wrinkle. This is one of my favorite dresses ever. I wish they had more colors to choose from.

This is an awesome travel ...
I hesitated on this ... because I wasn't in love with the colors and designs. I finally got the camo green color because I had shoes that would match the outfit and jazz it up a bit. Let me tell you, I'm glad I did. This ... amazing! I do not need to wear a bra and the tall size fit my 6'1" frame amazingly. I typically run between an 8 and a 10 in ... sizes and I got the 8 and it fit wonderfully. So if you straddle a size...go with the smaller size. The fit is very flattering and the material looks like it will travel perfectly! It's a perfect ... wear with flip flops or ... up with wedge heels and go out to dinner in. I am very happy!

Great cut and design; tight in rib cage
Maybe it was because I ordered a petite vs. regular size, but I found this ... really tight around the rib cage right under the bust. I ordered a 4P and returned it for a 6P and they're practically the same, so if you're undecided I'd say go with the larger size. Fits fine in bust but really right around the ribs. It quickly flares out from sort of an empire waist so looks great around the midsection - flattering to the tummy and hips and hides a small muffintop well. The rest of it is great - super comfy material, great design, seems like it could be wet/dry and look just as good. Plan to use it as a travel ... beach/pool daytime wear or (for the black) casual nighttime wear. I'm a shade under 5'3" and the petite length was perfect - slightly above knee how I like. I recommend it over some of the swim and other dresses because it's a much lighter weight material and less binding throughout.

Great travel ...
I am 5'10" and chose the medium size with tall length; it goes to mid knee, so it is a nice change from the typical summer dresses that are all so short. The material is very light wieght so I am hoping it will work well for travel to beach destinations. I did find the waist area just below the chest to be a bit snug - I am slim so be aware if you are athletic and perhaps wider thru the rib cage, this may not work for you. Love the color!

Fantastic Travel ...
This ... perfect for travel during the day and going out in the evening. I had to order one size larger than normal. The hidden pocket in the side is perfect for stashing cash and a credit card. The ... takes up very little room in your bag, but does not pack wrinkle free. Overall I love this ...

Great all purpose ...
Not easy to find dresses for this body (5 11" and thin with a C cup) but the fit on this one is ideal - flattering across the shoulders and no gaping under the arms. I'm normally a size 6 or 8, and I got the small tall. It hits just above the knee and fits perfectly across the chest. Looks great with jeans underneath, with boots, with a little sweater, with flip flops...really versatile and great for travel. It might be the only ... take on my next business trip. I'm also VERY happy about the organic cotton, and hope Athleta starts using more of it - this is good for everyone up and down the supply chain.

simple yet classy, very versatile
For me, this was the perfect summer travel ... am almost 6' tall, lean, and the small fit perfectly. I'm small in the bust and waist, and bigger in the hips, with broad shoulders. This ... fit my swimmer like build by balancing the width of my shoulders and hips, and lengthening my waist. I went on a European tour and wore this ... dinner at night and I wore it walking around during the day. It is highly versatile--it can be casual or sophisticated. It is simple, but classy! I bought the Sangria color. I like the thickness of material--you can't see under it.

Great basic that dresses up or down
Like this ... enough to own 3 of them. I am 5'6" size 14 - got the regular length black senorita last winter and love it - The reg length is great with leggings or boots/tights. Just ordered this Sangria color in a Tall (and another black one in a Tall) for work since it hits right below the knee and I work in a pretty conservative organization. Great with a jacket or sweater for work and flattering enough for a generous butt and hips. Looking forward to travel with them this summer b/c they pack small.

Very versatile, and a great travel ...

So comfy
This is no different from anything I have gotten from Athleta. The quality is exceptional, the fabric has a nice weight, and it doesn't fit too tight or too loose. This ... would be great to lounge in, play in, travel in, or add a necklace and bracelet to go out in.

Super comfortable!
Great travel ... - comfortable for the plane and walking around town/city, but still nice enough to wear to a restaurant. Easily ... down for a backyard cookout, too.

I ordered this item in boysenberry but exchanged it for the indigo. The boysenberry was a beautiful color (think dark, dark purple) but reminded me of the fall and winter seasons and as a midwest girl I need to "feel spring." The fit was fabulously flattering on my figure. I am 5'6", weigh 125#s, and ordered the small. I am going on a cruise to tropical destinations in a couple of weeks and wanted a cute ... would hold up to the rigors of travel. This ... can easily ... up by adding jewelry, heels, and a cute skinny belt. I could also wear it around town as I run erands. Sadly, I won't be able to wear this ... work as it is too short (I am a teacher of adolescents and dresses need to be at my knees). If you want something to wear to work make sure you order it long. I would have given it a 5 but this item was a bit on the pricey side.

I love the fabric and the fit around the chest and waist, but around the hem it was too flared for my tastes. I'm very petite though, so I think it would fit most people very well. Great all around ... fantastic for travel.

I am a full C cup, and never really feel comfortable without a bra. Built in "bra top" dresses or camis never seem to offer enough support... until now. This ... flattering, it fits beautifully, and it actually supports my bust! Well done, Athleta, and thank you.

for vacation
I bought this ... evening dinners on vacation in Mexico thinking it will pack well and wear well. I think it will be perfect. I followed the size guidelines given on th site and even though it meant I ordered a ... two sizes larger than I normally wear, it fits perfectly. I am a 36D and was very pleasantly surprised with the support in this ... not have to wear a bra with it (which I do with most dresses that contain a "bra"). Very pleased with my purchase.

I love this!
My friend ordered three dresses from athleta.com. I tried all of them on and they fit amazing, covering up all problem areas. Unfortunately, the dresses she ordered were no longer available. I ordered three totally different ones and they are all amazing. I have a size 8 or med in this ... am a 36C and the bust is pretty snug but still looks good.

Great fit on slim hourglass figure
This ... fit perfectly. I am 5'3" 115 pounds and bought a size 2. It is very form fitting so if you are shy, you may want to pass on this. I think it would be a great ... beach. I am slim but still have an hourglass figure. Some of the Atlheta dresses have excess material that bags in back from the shoulders to the hips (the kokomo ... did that). This ... did not do that, it fit slim though my torso. Very nice cut. I wish they had some lighter colors in this ... summer.

I love that you are starting to make more of your dresses in petite. That is the only thing I sometimes am a little disappointed in, the lengths are a little longer on me than the way they appear on the models in your catalog. I am only 5'4" and I'm sure our models are taller. So thanks for the petites!

nice ... but should be tighter.
I really like this ... adore Athleta clothes, especially the dresses, but too many of the styles have empire waists and look like maternity clothes. I have worn maternity clothes for enough of my life (I have 7 kids) and I want dresses that are tight and sexy. This ... pretty close to that. It runs a little large. I found the XXS to still be a bit loose, esprcially in the waist. I am a size 2 (0 or 00 in GAP) and I could have worn an XXXS if it had existed. It did cling to the right places, though. The bottom of the drress could be a little less of an A line and I would not mind it a bit shorter (I am 5' 6") The purple color is darker than I expected, but beautiful. If there were more attractive colors in XXS, I would even order another.

Navy is in!
Love the fabric and the cut of the ... think the top runs a bit small. It should be great for travel, ... up and or down. I love it!

Nice ... but....
I really liked the fit of this ... found the length a tad short and prefer to expose a little less skin. The material is swimsuit like so would travel well but may be a bit thick for really hot days. It does have a somewhat fitted waist so those who prefer an empire style bodice with more room in the waist may not find it to their liking. I think this would be a great ... younger woman. Just a little too sexy for middle aged woman with conservative taste like me!

Not quite right
I so wanted this ... work for me. I love the halter shape and the sportiness of the design. I am a small chested person. I wear between an A and B cup. I bought a medium size in this and the chest was too tight. It has built in support, which I thought would be fabulous for sailing/beach travel wear. I had difficulty putting it on and even more taking it off.

wish it were more
I was so excited about this ... Btu when I got it I was very disappointed. I tried to like it but will be sending it back. The stitching on the bodice is a bit odd and makes it look like I am wearing it inside out. It doesn't look good and the material is a lot thicker than i thought it would be. It was soft and comfortable but did not flatter my body at all. I am 5'3 and 118 so halter dresses are usually my style, but I did not like the way that this made me look. Maybe it is a better fit for people who are a lot taller than me.

I love this ... really love this ... then love it some more. So flattering, comfortable and pretty. I have the blue color which is beautiful. I truly wish that I had 5 more of these dresses. I'm 5'6" 135 and based on reviews ordered a medium-- perfect. Worth every penny!

Best ...
This ... one of the most flattering dresses I have ever purchased! I got the solid purple color in an XL, I'm around a 38-40 DD in the bust area and the fact that this has a shelf bra makes it even flattering it gives more support and holds you up high with a bra on too! Haven't tried without bra I think I'm too busty but the rest of the ... fits perfect it skims all the right places and it's not too baggy or too tight it's just right. The material is nicer than I expected it looks really heavy and it's pretty lightweight! I wore this on an outing in 100 degree weather and felt cool in it, can't wait to wear this the rest of the summer!!

My new favorite ...
GREAT ... got the Indigo & the color is so pretty--almost a periwinkle blue. The material is wonderful; super stretchy, soft & comfy. Ordered this for an upcoming vacation; I wanted summer clothing that was versatile, would travel well & stand up to heat/humidity. The Solid Tee Maxi ... perfect! I'm very out of shape due to a recent injury, & to my horror NONE of the summer clothing I had fit me--yikes! I'm 5'9", about 20 lbs overweight right now (wear a size 8-10/M under normal circumstances), full C cup & hippy/pear shaped with a lovely new stomach bulge--yay, aging! Had no idea what size to order, so I whipped out the tape measure & went to the size chart. On top I'm a Large, but my wide hips make me an XL on the bottom. After reading reviews about the "drapey" fabric, I went ahead & ordered the XL & I'm glad I did. The fabric DEFINITELY drapes, so I'll be wearing Spanx underneath to smooth out my lumpy parts. (If you don't have lumpy parts, the drapey effect will look great.) The top & shelf bra could be snugger, but that's because of my out of-proportion body & not the cut of the ... Suprisingly, I could probably even get away without a bra--the shelf bra & soft bra cup inserts are amazing & give me shape/light support (& I have droopage issues); if this were a Large I DEFINITELY wouldn't need a bra! Overall a very flattering, comfy & versatile a line maxi ... & the front stitched pockets make it interesting. My husband loves it too, which is a huge bonus! And it's so well made, I'll be able to take it to a tailor once I get back into shape. I'll be wearing this ... LOT--over a bathing suit at the beach, running errands, hanging out, going out, & even with a wrap & boots in the winter!

A favorite in my closet
I first bought this ... print and fell in love with the fit, the comfort, and the handy pockets that are built in. When I had to return a different ... discontinued, I chose to order another one of the t shirt dresses in black instead of getting a refund. Now the t shirt ... Rio Maxi ... main staples of my closet, and I rotate between the various colors and prints each day. Comfort and class all in one! And they just plain ol' look great on me. I am 5'10", wear a size 10-12, 36C and wear the Tall Large in this and the Rio Maxi. I don't have to wear a bra with them either, especially the t shirt ... Plenty of coverage and support.

Comfy & practical
Wonderfully comfortable ... liked it so much I bought 2 - black & indigo (which is a blue gray, closer to blue). I'm 5'8" 140lbs and the length and bust perfect (my bust 34C). The built in bra has removable light foam cups but I see no need to remove them as it fits well as is. The built in bra eliminates the lines that would show with your own bra.I can see getting a lot of use out of these dresses -- throw on a jacket or sweater and out to dinner I go. Perfect for summer travel too. The fabric is soft and I hope it stays that way!

Very nice quality ... very comfortable. Great for travel. Wear it casual or ... up with some accessories and your good to go anywhere. I purchased the raspberry color and it is just enough punch without being too bold. The fit is very flattering but if I had to change one thing it would be the pocket at the hip. Having the pockets are great but only if you are not too curvy in this area.

I Wanted This ...
I wanted this ... so badly that I decided not to wait and see if it went on sale. I have 2 of the printed maxi dresses from Athleta and absolutely love them. I thought a solid black ... would be perfect. Unfortunately, this ... did not fit the same way as the printed versions. I wear a size 12 and the Large fits me like a glove in the prints. The solid color ... too big in the bust and underarm but too tight in the stomach and hips. I am so dissapointed to send this ... back. I won't even reorder it in a XL because the bust would be way too big.

Cute & comfy ...
I'm always weary about ordering dresses without trying them on. however, I was VERY happy with this purchase. It is very figure flattering...the cut and material of the ... flows. the color red is really pretty and not orangey red. I really like the little secret pocket, enough to hold your ID & ATM card when you don't want to carry a purse. Please Athleta make more dresses that flatter our figures!!

great ...
This was one of four dresses on my first Athleta order. I love the fit and the fabric, it's casual and the racer back styling is great, shows off a fit body without being too revealing. I'll probably order another in black just because I love it so much! Wish it was about two inches shorter (I'm a curvy, well proportioned 5'7" and it hits just at my knee). I'll probably shorten it a few inches.

Well designed but too long!
Please designers...stop making these dresses so long! I have to hem this ... get the look that I think it should have...about 3 inches off. The persian red is just the most gorgeous shade! I have to order SMALL in all Athleta dresses to get the fit I want. I am normally an 8 in most other dresses out there. I LOVE this design in the chest...it is GORGEOUS!!!

Very Pleased!
Finally, after purchasing and returning several dresses from Athleta, I think I found a "keeper"! I am 5'7, 135 lbs, 36 C and the medium fits well. I don't like skin tight clothing around my middle (struggle with the muffin top), and i feel that this ... drapes nicely without accentuating every imperfection. It is roomy enough to be comfortable but does not make me look pregnant. For those ladies who are tiny waisted, you may want to size down. I will still need to wear a racer back bra because the built in bra does not offer enough support or lift. Red is very vibrant...more like a dark pink as others have mentioned.

Perfect summer ...
This ... going to be my go to ... summer. Incredibly versatile this ... can be worn during the day to run errands, slip into after a day at the pool or beach, or accessorized to be worn out somewhere casual at night. I am 5' 7", 140 lbs, 36A, athletic build. I am almost always a medium in Athleta tops/dresses and this one was sized perfectly. I saw in some reviews people complained about the front 'puffing' out. There is some gathering under the bust, but by now means puffs out. As for the length it is on the longer side compared to some of Athleta's other dresses, but at my age of 47, it's perfect. Great purchase!

color red
just got this in the mail and only wore it around the house so far- the color red is more like a brighter fuchsia, rather than a fire engine, orange red or blue hued red. I'm 5'8 and truth be told I would like the ... little shorter - it hits in the middle of the knee. I would prefer it an inch above the knee. This a great style - I have one I got from[...] for a lot more money - almost the same style in the front except no razor back so it is much dressier, but for the cost and look - this ... does well on the price point. I'm sure hand washing will be best to keep fabric from pilling a bit. Though I'm very small chested, I find the support bra works great (despite having to add my typical enhancers pads to fill me out/balance my figure a bit) I did get a large size more for my pear shape on my bottom - there is plenty of room there without looking too big at all. It's a keeper. I'm really starting to love the dresses from here. The organic cotton ones are super too - Senorita ... awesome and now comes in more colors! By the way, thanks for offering a more brilliant color selection this season. They were a little to muted dull before. Love reds, blues, etc...keep the vibrant colors coming! Thx

Not thrilled
I love the catalog and the clothes looked great, but when I got the 3 dresses I bought, all looked like sacks on me. There was no shape to them - just straight up and down, and too full. Maybe it's the sizing - 4 - 6 is a big range. I'm really a 4 and am sure the XS would be too small. But the S was unflattering and blah. The quality is good though - wish I coudl get the dresses in my real size!

big!
I ordered a Med. It was really big everywhere except the chestal region. I am nursing, so I have a little more going on up there than usual. It was pretty tight considering how big it was everywhere else. I'm usually a S in Athleta dresses (currently 5'8" 138 ish), but am lugging around an extra 10lbs baby weight, so I thought I should size up. It is also really long. It hit almost mid knee cap and I am all leg!

I was dissapointed with this ... ordered a few dresses and this is the only one that did not work for me. Don't get me wrong, the ... id very pretty and has nice workmanship. I ordered red and i loved the color, but the way it draped around my waist was a bit funky. I am 5'5'', 140lb., athletically built 40 year old mommy. I have a pretty flat belly, this ... looked like i was trying to hide a not so flat midline. So, if your belly is not as flat as you would like, this ... may be your ticket. Other than the waist line, the ... beautiful. The wrap design at the bustline is very pretty and flattering,perfect length, and draped very nice around my hips... the waste is a little too puffy. Sorry athleta.

The size that can''t decide
This review is about the Sonoma Racerback ... back page of a catalog (a catalog or 2 ago). I was worried because I am busty that the ... like the Vyasa, would be too small. (side note - I got the Vyasa in green in a large and it was STILL to tight around my chest area and I had to return it). I called customer service. Athleta has wonderful customer service people!! I have 2 shorebreak dresses - both in medium - that I LOVE - and was appreciative of the cs lady who told me that that Vyasa runs small and that I should try a large. So, when I called back to ask about the Sonoma ... she suggested that I also try a large in that as it is the cotton blend. Technically, she suggested that get both the M and the L and see which one fit better, but I did not want to do that to my credit card, so we picked the L. IT WAS HUGE on me and fell like a sack. It was really big everywhere - even though I am rather busty (a 38 C or D - depending on make and model of bra) the ... fit me like it was a size 14 at least. It looked so great on those models - like everything does...duh... but I had to send it back. The color was gorgeous too. So I would recommend the ... just be aware that that particular ... runs big. Overall, I would recommend calling in when you want to order and speaking with a cs person as they have been really patient and friendly and helpful. The negative thing I have to say overall about Athleta is the inconsistency in the sizing of the different clothing items. My size 8 quick dry shorts fit great, but the dipper skort in an 8 pulls across the front. My 2 size medium shorebreak dresses are fabulous as well. I look forward to getting another paycheck and spending more money....

Sporty & Comfy
I got two of these dresses because I knew I would love them - the perfect combination of Sporty, Active, and Cute. I wore this after skiing when sweats seemed like I was giving up. I wore this out with the girls because it was comfortable and still dressy. And I will wear it all winter long with tights because it's so darn tootin' cute. Yes, it's a little like a neoprene suit (I love that about it). Yes, it is probably too casual for work (who cares, I don't work). And perhaps I look a little like Gumby in the green version I got along with the black, but that's kind of fun, too. Coffee rolled right off the front of it (amen) and it looks super cute with boots, clogs, etc. I like the high collar because it covers my neck. And lastly, the highly impractical zippered pocket on the sleeve that I will most likely never use adds to the sporty appeal and I thinks it's cool. I commented that the sleeves are "too long" but I am tall and I love, love, love the long length. I think I fear the day when it starts to show wear and tear.

i ordered the black and green warming hut dresses. I'm chubby and short 5'1 so I ordered the large petite. The green petite was too long everywhere even though it said petite and it made me look like gumby so I sent it back for purple. Both the black and purple dresses fit perfectly, form fitting. Thinner gals will have room under for long johns. The ... comes to my knees, is really warm. Sassy factor changes with how low you wear the zipper in front and the type of boots you pair with. Very versatile outfit. The sleeve zipper is a little hard to maneuver but no biggie. Love the dresses!

This is the most awesome ... -- I bought it after purchasing it in black. Perfect for travel. Washes wonderfully and is very flattering. I was in a meeting and someone sitting next to me thought it was a warmup jacket and when I stood up he said "That's a ... Cool." So I guess for some people it might not work for work. I wore it with tights and boots and it was perfect. Plan to take it on a ski vacation for dinners out.

Classy or Casual!
I needed a ... would travel well, be warm and not bulky, classy but not formal. It was warm enough walking the streets of New York but not too warm for a formal indoor cocktail event. It "hit the spot" to a tee. Thanks!

Wonderful ... anytime
Athleta dresses are perfect winter dresses with boots. I'm usually a size 6-8, 5'7" and 145 lbs, the medium fits perfectly. This ... easy care, very comfortable, dressy enough for an office but casual enough for anytime. I have longer arms/bigger shoulders and I love that the sleeves are long enough for me. Cold winters would not be a problem in these dresses, they are so cozy. Love it!!

This ... fantastic!!! It's perfect for travel when you want to be comfortable and still look polished, and is perfect with tights and boots for a chilly Chicago day. I'm 5'8", 135lbs and got the regular small. It hits a couple inches above the knee (like in the picture) and skims my body nicely without clinging to anything I don't want to show off. I originally ordered the Cassidy ... hips were way too big, this ... has perfect proportions. Love it!

Worth every penny
Love this ... thick enough to wear in the winter but not bulky. Soft fleece material inside with a quality stretch like material on the outside. I am 5' 3", 115# and it comes to about right above my knee. I would recommend an XS if you like it fitting or a small if you want it a little loser. It isn't slimming through the hips at all if this is a concern. It looks great with a pair of leggings and boots. Enjoy to travel around or relax after a winter outdoor activity.

LOVE IT
Am so happy with this ... am 5'9 and a size 8 and always wear mediums in Athleta dresses and skirts, and this didn't dissappoint. It is very soft and fuzzy inside and will be great to wear for anything in our cold WI winter! Will be great for traveling, doesn't look like it will wrinkle.

I love dresses for their simplicity and comfort, and there are not that many great ones for cold weather. Sweater dresses often pill and stretch in weird places. This does neither of those things, and it's super warm. I'd get a second one if they had it in a medium or dark grey.

I travel a lot and thought this would be a versatile piece that would "travel" well. The cut is very flattering and the fabric weight is perfect. It is above the knee and a little short but still looks great with tights and boots. I am 5"8 1/2' and 135 lbs, the small is a perfect fit.

Comfy~Cozy
This ... perfect for any occasion... You can ... up or down. It is very comfortable and the shawl style collar is very flattering. I paired this with some knit tights and boots. This is great for work, play, out on the town, and travel.

I can't think of a place I wouldn't wear this...it is really a great "go to" ... any daytime outing, travel, PTA meeting, all over comfort and style ... love it. It is so comfortable, wears well all day, washes well. I can pair it with any number of accessories, boots, flats, scarves, hats, etc. GREAT ... GRAY!

Long torso looking
Several of the ladies I travel and work with rave about this ... so I tried it in two different sizes with two different colors. The small fit and looked better than the medium (5'6", 128 lbs). I have a very small waist, therefore cut of the ... seam just below the cowl neck) made me look I had an exceptionally long torso and super short legs. The collar is wonderful, and you can draw it down over your shoulders. It is an beautiful cut for tall and thin (as is everything) but also for those with a straighter build or a large chest- it is wonderful. The side pocket sliding to the back is great, perfect for a credit card or an ID and folded boarding pass.

Love this ...
What's not to like? Stylish, flattering, comfy. Perfect to throw on for casual outings and post gym over work out clothes or over first layer apres ski and look totally together. Would be great for cool weather travel. The post laundry "reshape and flat dry" is a pain, but worth it.

I LOVE this ... but not for me......I am toooo curvy for this ... flattering. It would look adorable on an athletic type build..Not for a large lady with "lumps" & "bumps. It shows every curve, as it is clingy. If and when I drop about 20 lbs :) I think it would be a fabulous ... pack and travel with.I am sorry I could not wear it, and had to send it back.

Very Cozy ...
This ... very cozy and great for winter. It's bulky so takes up room in suitcase, but does travel well. I am 5'7", 140 lbs, and I ordered a medium which fit perfectly. It does hug your body, but not overly tight. I bought the Boysenberry and love the color. The knit is very soft and not itchy. I wear it with leggings and tall, flat boots for running around town or out to dinner. Great for a ski trip!

Had to get this ... other colors!
I've had this ... gray color for years and wouldn't survive the cold months without it--had to get a purple one this year. I LOVE it. It can be ... up, down, and everything in between. I'm 5'8" 120 and the XS fits nicely/XXS for a more snug fit. Compared to other Athleta sweater dresses, this is definitely made of a heavy sweater knit perfect for cold climates--other sweater dresses tend to be much thinner. Love the hood too. Athleta, please make more colors!

Great ... even for tall ladies!
First let me start by saying I am a very nicely proportioned 6 foot 1 woman that weighs 185 pounds with a 36D chest. I have extremely long legs (37 inch inseam) and therefore I have a hard time finding dresses that are long enough for me. I also have a very nice round bottom and therefore sometimes dresses ride up in the back so they can seem shorter than they would on someone who has a less curvy figure. Finally being as tall as I am I have long arms and long sleeves are usually a problem for me as well. I am happy to say that I had none of these problems in this ... extremely comfortable and looks great on me (I have received many compliments). I ordered the tall medium and the tall large and found that the medium fit better than the large. I loved the fact that is ... very warm but was made of cotton since I am severely allergic to wool and oftentimes find it difficult to find a sweater or sweaterdress that does not have some degree of wool in it. Although I think that full price it is too expensive, I was able to purchase it on sale and feel that it was a good buy for the sale price. Hopefully it will go on sale again so I can buy some more!

Love this ...
I wore this ... Seattle the first time in December. It was freezing but this ... my Tessa boots, a pair of leggings and my Athleta fleece coat, kept me very warm. I'm 5'3" and 122 pds and the small fit really well. My husband says the ... "sexy" and I can see wearing it out, to travel in, and for errands. It's a great ... worth the money!

Cute, warm, slim fitting
I love this ... I'm 5'3" and 103 lbs w/ short legs, got the XS and it was a good length (above knee by 3 fingers). Yes, this ... show little lumps underneath like when the left pocket isn't flattened out, but the weave is thick enough that it's not too bad. I normally like form fitting dresses bec I'm very small bodied, and if that's what you want, go for this. ... feels warm and cozy, looks great with tights and tall boots. For a substantial and warm weave, it doesn't make me look really chunky, which is *hard* with sweater dresses.

Love the ...
I'm 5'7", 125 lbs, and I ordered the grey and the plum "boysenberry" Hut to Hut dresses in Small, expecting to return at least 1. In the past, when I ordered Athleta dresses, most of them went back. But those 2 dresses are definitely staying with me! The cut and fit are nice. The color is what I expected. The dresses feel nice and cozy, and I usually get itchy in wool. I'm going out tonight and will wear the grey ... love the little thumb holes that lets me pull down the sleeves to cover the wrists - the part of me that tends to get cold easily.

Awesome ... tunic with tights
I can't say enough about this sweater ... am a loyal athleta wearer because the clothes always fit right and last for years. This sweater ... no exception. I recently took the cream ... me on a trip and it was perfect for airplane travel, straight to sightseeing and into nighttime fun. It is comfortable, the perfect length and even has holes for your thumbs on the sleeves for when things get chilly. Love the good and half zip neck. Now I need another color!

Love this sweater ... I'm not one to wear dresses and this just looked so comfy and cozy I had to try it. I was very pleased with the fit. I'm a size Med. usually (8) but after looking at measurements decided to go with the Lg. and I'm glad I did. Sleeves are fun and perfect in length. pocket on side looks best zipped, due to it fitting at the hip. I have long legs and found it to be a really nice length and looks great with tall boots. Had many complements and will be wearing this at least once a week!!!

Fun, warm, cozy, pretty
Love this ... I'm 5'7", 120, 26" waist, and the S fits me perfectly. Length is great - anything longer would be frumpy for my height. The middle section is form fitting, so if you're afraid of that, size up. It's a heavy, warm knit, but not bulky - feels great over tights with boots. I feel guilty wearing it around the house due to the price, so I'm trying to limit myself to only wearing it out for drinks or dinner. The pocket works best when you flatten it out as you put the ... does require a bit of tugging and setting, each time you go to the ladies room), but once in place I can usually forget about it. I wish Athleta could offer their dresses either with a pocket or without - I love the idea of the pocket (and it's great on their summer dresses, where you wouldn't wear a winter coat that has its own pockets).

Perfect versatile ...
I work from home so I wear dresses almost every day because they're easy and still look like I put a little effort into my appearance. I have been looking for an easy fall/winter ... PLUS we're going to Europe for 2 weeks and I wanted something that could be packed and work for travel too. This ... fits all of those buckets! The only thing I'd say is I ordered 2 different colors. One came and it was perfect. The other's sleeves were about 1 inch shorter. I exchanged it for a different ... same color and same size - and the replacement ... sleeves are longer. I am 5'5" and 120 lbs and the small fits perfectly. LOVE IT!

I love this ... one of my favorite go to items for travel or for unknown "events". Pair it with boots and a scarf for a dressier casual look or with heels and tights and a pretty sweater to ... up even more. It is so incredibly comfy and fits great. The slight A line helps slim out my athletic booty!

A great all around ...
I thought this ... fantastic. I noted some other reviews saying the chest road too high on them, but I got the tall, and it fit PERFECT. I'm 5'9", size 6-8, C D cup, and the Medium Tall was just right. The fabric is versatile, and does not wrinkle when balled up, but is not overly thin as some fabrics are that are made to travel well. The length is appropriate to wear in a variety of settings, the neckline is not overly revealing, and I think it would flatter a wide variety of body types, because of the stretch and bit of smocking around the neck (i.e. flat or full busted). It's a thicker material, which I like as well. I got the mallard blue, and am thinking about getting it in another hue as well.

Organic Cotton Senorita ...
This ... along with its summer sleeveless version are fantastic! I have one longsleeved and two sleeveless and I wear them for so many occasions. Also, I am 5'10" and need medium/size 8 talls, which these dresses are. They are perfect for travel (toured Italy in them...they pack well), I wear them to BBQs/pool parties, and I wear them out for various casual events. The long sleeved I wear with leggings and it feels like I am wearing my pajamas out for the night!!! GREAT item!!! Highly recommend.

Love this ... fits exactly as advertised. I chose the extra small, which worried me, but according to the chart, that was the one. Turned out to be perfectly true to size. I'm planning to wear it over leggings on my next overseas trip, and I know it will be comfortable and hold up well to the long hours of travel.

Great ... very versatile
This ... perfect for just about any occasion. It can be ... up with tights and boots, or worn with sandals or clogs for a more casual look. The material is super thick cotton which makes the ... look rich and lay nicely over my curvy parts. This is the first item that I've ever had to exchange from Athleta though. Usually reading the reviews I get a sense of where I fall between sizes. I ordered two dresses when ordering this one...the Lotus ... one, and both in an XS. The Lotus ... fit like a dream, but this one was a little tight through the hips in the XS. I almost kept it, thinking it might stretch a bit, but opted to exchange for the small. I am a bit disappointed, because the small is a bit too big in the hips and waist, but fits fine everywhere else. I am 5'2" and about 126 with a thin, very muscular frame. I know the ... one of my favorites for many years to come. It will be great to travel with and one I can wear to work as well.

Nice ...
I was so happy with my first purchase of this ... went ahead and bought two more. This ... great for travel, going around town, dinner, and work. I am 5 feet 3.5 inches and weigh 130.5 lbs. I bought the small,which fits snug, but did not want to buy the medium because it would just be too big. I thought the length was a bit short for the regular, so I bought the tall...great overall!

Love the ...
This ... lovely! It's comfortable, and will be great for travel or after workouts. I will also be able to wear it to work. I am 6"2" and have to order tall. It does have sufficient length for someone my height. One note of caution, I am typically a large tall. I did find this item ran small when I ordered that size. I had to order one size up and that fits much better.

Runs short and small
Based on the reviews posted I ordered this ... because I thought it would be a good for short people (I'm 5'0"). The ... right length for someone my size, but I didn't love it. It was a bit boring looking and the bust line is a little strange...again, I think cut on the short side. It fit me okay, but I can see how the bustline would easily ride up on someone who is slightly larger (I'm a 34B). Since I didn't love this ... returned it. I would be a good travel ... if it fit really well.

Functional, Multi Purpose ...
I bought this in a small petite (I'm 5'2" and 130lbs) and overall the ... fits great. It's a little shorter than I thought it would be, but not inappropriately so. The material is also a little clingy around the stomach and thighs, but I'm also wider in the hips than I am in the shoulders, so this may not be an issue for those with "straighter" figures. The ... cute both with tights and boots, as well as just flip flops. This is a great ... travel, and packs well.

Perfect all around ...
I am so glad I decided to splurge on this ... am a laid back casual person but I love to wear dresses and skirts. This ... fits my personality perfectly and it is easy to wear. I like the way it looks with tights and boots and I like being able to throw it in the washer and dryer. The medium tall fit is perfect for me 5'9, 140lbs and the ... blue color is great for fall.

Fall Fave (so far)
I am kind of addicted to Athleta dresses and this one, so far is my fave for the autumn batch. I am 5'5", 128 pounds, 34D. I got the blue in a small regular and the purple in a small petite. The regular hits just at the top of my kneee. The petite looks more like the model in the pic. I kept both! The longer one is probably better for work, church, etc...But both are just so versatile and I LOVE THAT! Around the house, around town...with boots, with flats...with/without jewelry! The fabric is also awesome...comfy and sexy...I don't know if I should sleep in it or go out to dinner in it! Maybe both :)!

Finally!
Finally someone is making clothes that fit my lifestyle. I can go from yoga, to work, out to dinner! I like trying on clothes before I buy them because I am tall but not big. This size can be hard to fit. Love that Athleta's dresses are long enough for me! Thanks for opening the Mill Valley store!

Beautifully soft fabric, comfy, cozy style and pretty colour!
I liked this ... so much I got one in the Meteor Grey as well. I'm 5'4", 34DD and have curves. I was a little scared to purchase a t shirt style ... because of said curves, but needn't have been scared! The soft material of this ... doesn't cling and feels just so comfortable. I've worn the Aubergine colour with my tall black OTBT boots and the grey with my tan Uggs. The regular length hits my knees, isn't short like on the model. The sleeves are long, but I like that. I might try the petite for the next colour, even though my sister says I have enough of these dresses. They're just so pretty and comfortable! Plus I get lots of compliments when I wear them! Yay! Def purchase if you're even contemplating :)

Cute ... but size didn''t work for me
I followed the advice of another reviewer and bought an XS Petite -- and found that it was too small. (I normally wear a S Petite in all Athleta dresses: 5'2", 32x27x37.) By the time I tried to make an exchange, they were sold out so I opted for the Reg Small. Unfortunately, it's too big in general on me -- so I'll have to return it. Bummer ... Overall, I'd highly recommend it -- just be sure to follow the sizing chart and don't go a size smaller.

wonderful ...
i got this ... Regular Small aubergine and Petite Medium black. all my other dresses are Small (couple XS). the small was a tad long in hem (hit above knees) and sleeves. the Pet Med however has longer sleeves but the hem is a good length, couple inches above knees. i love the material and it's not huggy. it's perfect for fall and i got knee boots to wear with it too. the pockets are handy (a big reason i chose the ... throw in keys and loose bill change while shopping. great errand ... lunch, whatever! i will be wearing them all the time. i'm hoping the Small will come back in stock so i can buy another one. not sure why they needed to put ruching on the back but not a deal breaker.

I sized down - love it
I ordered the blue color in one size down and am pleased. I have found I generally need to size down in Athleta dresses with this kind of cut. Contrary to what another reviewer suggested, I don't think you need to be "shaped like an ironing board" to wear this ... can we stop hating on other women's bodies please?). True, it isn't fitted at the waist, but I think it hugs the chest and rear nicely while still leaving something to the imagination. It will also accommodate a larger chest; I am a 34DD and can comfortably wear the XXS. Unfortunately, if your regular size is XXS, I think it will be too loose for you.

LOVE this ...
I really loved this ... material was so soft, the color beautiful. It just was longer than the other dresses I have bought from Athleta (I have 6 and love every one). Since I am only 5'3", this ... hit me below the knee, which is not as flattering on my shorter legs. I wanted to exchange it for petite, but it is out of stock. Bummer. Now, I wait for it to come back in and keep thinking of perfect occasions to wear it!

Nice Enough.
I like this ... but it is not my favorite Athleta ... quality (and price) is high with soft, thick fabric and a nice length in the sleeves and skirt. The ... comfortable, functional and a very nice shade of light navy. The top, sleeves, and hip area are slightly fitted. The middle, however, is a floppy, loose wasteland of extra fabric. This might be less noticeable on a girl with no waist or shaped like an ironing board. Still, I will keep it because attractive fall dresses are hard to come by.

no luck with this or other dresses lately
I bought this in xxsp petite and xsp petite. I thought it was the right size but it hung in an unflattering way. I thought the pockets made it a bit too casual for work and were too girly for grownups.After buying a bunch of dresses lately from Athleta, I have had trouble finding one that fits in a flattering way and that i like. I wonder what is up.
