Cute & comfy ...
I'm always weary about ordering dresses without trying them on. however, I was VERY happy with this purchase. It is very figure flattering...the cut and material of the ... flows. the color red is really pretty and not orangey red. I really like the little secret pocket, enough to hold your ID & ATM card when you don't want to carry a purse. Please Athleta make more dresses that flatter our figures!!

great ...
This was one of four dresses on my first Athleta order. I love the fit and the fabric, it's casual and the racer back styling is great, shows off a fit body without being too revealing. I'll probably order another in black just because I love it so much! Wish it was about two inches shorter (I'm a curvy, well proportioned 5'7" and it hits just at my knee). I'll probably shorten it a few inches.

The new "go to" ...
I bought this ... Mill Valley at the Athleta store (they hemmed it for me in time to pick it up on the way to the airport). I brought it to wear to a wedding - I love how it works in so many settings - casual, ... up. I'm about 5'3" and sometimes have trouble finding dresses that fit properly on top but this one is a winner.

Well designed but too long!
Please designers...stop making these dresses so long! I have to hem this ... get the look that I think it should have...about 3 inches off. The persian red is just the most gorgeous shade! I have to order SMALL in all Athleta dresses to get the fit I want. I am normally an 8 in most other dresses out there. I LOVE this design in the chest...it is GORGEOUS!!!

Very Pleased!
Finally, after purchasing and returning several dresses from Athleta, I think I found a "keeper"! I am 5'7, 135 lbs, 36 C and the medium fits well. I don't like skin tight clothing around my middle (struggle with the muffin top), and i feel that this ... drapes nicely without accentuating every imperfection. It is roomy enough to be comfortable but does not make me look pregnant. For those ladies who are tiny waisted, you may want to size down. I will still need to wear a racer back bra because the built in bra does not offer enough support or lift. Red is very vibrant...more like a dark pink as others have mentioned.

Perfect summer ...
This ... going to be my go to ... summer. Incredibly versatile this ... can be worn during the day to run errands, slip into after a day at the pool or beach, or accessorized to be worn out somewhere casual at night. I am 5' 7", 140 lbs, 36A, athletic build. I am almost always a medium in Athleta tops/dresses and this one was sized perfectly. I saw in some reviews people complained about the front 'puffing' out. There is some gathering under the bust, but by now means puffs out. As for the length it is on the longer side compared to some of Athleta's other dresses, but at my age of 47, it's perfect. Great purchase!

color red
just got this in the mail and only wore it around the house so far- the color red is more like a brighter fuchsia, rather than a fire engine, orange red or blue hued red. I'm 5'8 and truth be told I would like the ... little shorter - it hits in the middle of the knee. I would prefer it an inch above the knee. This a great style - I have one I got from[...] for a lot more money - almost the same style in the front except no razor back so it is much dressier, but for the cost and look - this ... does well on the price point. I'm sure hand washing will be best to keep fabric from pilling a bit. Though I'm very small chested, I find the support bra works great (despite having to add my typical enhancers pads to fill me out/balance my figure a bit) I did get a large size more for my pear shape on my bottom - there is plenty of room there without looking too big at all. It's a keeper. I'm really starting to love the dresses from here. The organic cotton ones are super too - Senorita ... awesome and now comes in more colors! By the way, thanks for offering a more brilliant color selection this season. They were a little to muted dull before. Love reds, blues, etc...keep the vibrant colors coming! Thx

Not thrilled
I love the catalog and the clothes looked great, but when I got the 3 dresses I bought, all looked like sacks on me. There was no shape to them - just straight up and down, and too full. Maybe it's the sizing - 4 - 6 is a big range. I'm really a 4 and am sure the XS would be too small. But the S was unflattering and blah. The quality is good though - wish I coudl get the dresses in my real size!

big!
I ordered a Med. It was really big everywhere except the chestal region. I am nursing, so I have a little more going on up there than usual. It was pretty tight considering how big it was everywhere else. I'm usually a S in Athleta dresses (currently 5'8" 138 ish), but am lugging around an extra 10lbs baby weight, so I thought I should size up. It is also really long. It hit almost mid knee cap and I am all leg!

I was dissapointed with this ... ordered a few dresses and this is the only one that did not work for me. Don't get me wrong, the ... id very pretty and has nice workmanship. I ordered red and i loved the color, but the way it draped around my waist was a bit funky. I am 5'5'', 140lb., athletically built 40 year old mommy. I have a pretty flat belly, this ... looked like i was trying to hide a not so flat midline. So, if your belly is not as flat as you would like, this ... may be your ticket. Other than the waist line, the ... beautiful. The wrap design at the bustline is very pretty and flattering,perfect length, and draped very nice around my hips... the waste is a little too puffy. Sorry athleta.

The size that can''t decide
This review is about the Sonoma Racerback ... back page of a catalog (a catalog or 2 ago). I was worried because I am busty that the ... like the Vyasa, would be too small. (side note - I got the Vyasa in green in a large and it was STILL to tight around my chest area and I had to return it). I called customer service. Athleta has wonderful customer service people!! I have 2 shorebreak dresses - both in medium - that I LOVE - and was appreciative of the cs lady who told me that that Vyasa runs small and that I should try a large. So, when I called back to ask about the Sonoma ... she suggested that I also try a large in that as it is the cotton blend. Technically, she suggested that get both the M and the L and see which one fit better, but I did not want to do that to my credit card, so we picked the L. IT WAS HUGE on me and fell like a sack. It was really big everywhere - even though I am rather busty (a 38 C or D - depending on make and model of bra) the ... fit me like it was a size 14 at least. It looked so great on those models - like everything does...duh... but I had to send it back. The color was gorgeous too. So I would recommend the ... just be aware that that particular ... runs big. Overall, I would recommend calling in when you want to order and speaking with a cs person as they have been really patient and friendly and helpful. The negative thing I have to say overall about Athleta is the inconsistency in the sizing of the different clothing items. My size 8 quick dry shorts fit great, but the dipper skort in an 8 pulls across the front. My 2 size medium shorebreak dresses are fabulous as well. I look forward to getting another paycheck and spending more money....
