Love it
I love this skort. It's great for golf, hiking, not so great for working out. I also like it just for everyday casual. I got the tall as I have long legs - 34" inseam - and it's the perfect mid thigh length. I also have the sweet skort and while I love that too its got a thicker inner ... can be too warm. This one is less sweaty! It IS more of a workout type fabric but I still wear it with a tank top for summer everyday errands, etc. love it!

Very cute and comfortable to wear while working out and running. Feminine touch to the usual workout compression type shorts. Though, it is not too ... workout and has the underneath shorts, I think it is a bit ... everyday errands. Definately, would catch some eyes :)

I love it!!!!
Since it is winter here and too cold, I haven't yet had a chance to wear it to the gym. But I certainly intend to! The elastic in the shorts is perfect and I really like the way the skirt kind of swings. I think I will feel very comfortable in it during my workout routines and I even think I may wear it just hanging around the house in hot weather. This is my first purchase from Athleta and I am very impressed! Thank you!

new FAVORITE running skort
GREAT running skort!! I am 5'6'' 135lbs & the small fit perfect. I did read the previous reviews & ordered the Small Tall for a little extra length & I am glad I did. I am not a ... shorts person & the small tall was perfect. I am still able to run w/out it riding up & its not too long to look frumpy. So many options....Running, Walks, Golfing, Hikes, Workouts in the gym, even great for running errands after a workout. I was so happy w/ the purchase I went back & ordered more in 2 other colors! I would suggest ordering your size in the Tall version because the extra length makes the skort so much more versatile.

Favorite workout skirt ever!
I first bought this skirt last year (2011) in black and loved it so much that I immediately went on line to purchase it in more colors and it was completely out of stock! Fortunately it is back again this year and I secured it in other colors. Yeah! I am 5' 3" and 118 pounds and the XS fits perfectly. I thought I would need a small, but the skirt seems to run bigger than normal. The XS was perfect! This skirt is completely unique and very flattering on. It has a couple of layers of material with an adorable shape to the bottom layered edge. I use this skirt for running, hiking, the gym, tennis and pickelball. The material is lightweight and the shorts underneath are mesh so you stay dry when you workout. Get it while you can!

I just received this skirt and it is absolutely adorable!! I also ordered the black top to go with it. It will be my go to skirt all summer long. Not only can you workout in it, but it is also perfect for everyday lounging around. The ruffles make it so appealing too! The skirt fit true to size and was a perfect length for me- midway on thigh.

super cute and comfy
Was looking for some feminine looking workout clothes. I cross train a LOT so I like things that I can wear running, in gym/group fitness classes, walking the dogs, trail running, cycling, tennis. LOVE this skort but would caution the mesh ... underneath is truly MESH and somewhat tranparent. NOT a good choice in group fitness when we're on the floor for crunches and our knees (or worse our feet) are high in the air. I'll probably wear panties with them for everything except long distance running when chafing is an issue and my knees should never be above my waist. Otherwise it fits great and I feel pretty wearing it. The layered skirt provides great, full range movement. I'm very petite at 5'0" and my legs aren't long and lean, I'm more gymnast built with thicker thighs. I love all these new workout skirts but they seem a little long on me - they are longer than running shorts so it makes my legs seem that much shorter (but that's me and my own self conciousness - I'm told I look fine).

Unique feminine style makes up for other, minimal flaws
Long time athlete, I wondered if the ruffled skort would be too cutsy, frivolous, or heavy/clinging for a serious workout--not at all. Feel like a million in appearance when wearing for a heavy duty gym workout. I bought asphalt and white and enjoy both colors for different reasons. I feel comfortable doing any type of work out in the asphalt but would not do anything involving turning bottom side up, e.g., yoga, in the white due to very sheer leggings. On the other hand, for walking, a casual/fun date, going to a baseball game, etc. the white is a uniquely feminine addition to my wardrobe. The leggings are a bit shorter than I anticipated, so I won't be doing any long runs in these due to riding up and leg friction but, like I said, they're great for the gym--including elliptical workouts for over an hour.

Really Cute!
This skirt is really cute....I read the other reviews about it running really big and ordered an XXS but I am returning it for an XS instead. It fits but I have a small waist and bubble butt - so the ruffles kind of stick out in the back. With a bigger size they will lay more flat. It is very comfy and the purple color is a nice change from all the black and grey workout stuff I own.

Thin fabric & a little long if you are petite
I love the layed look that adds some style to this run skirt without being too girly. First I ordered black but it was hard to see the depth of the detail on the black one, so I exchanged for white. The white is definately going back. the fabric is really thin, especially for white. it's lined with the boy shorts for modesty below, but there was no lining in the portion that sits above the top ruffle which created a somewhat see through effect. it was not flattering. I would stick with the darker colors. My debate is whether or not to exchange for the purple blue or pink or just return. I am 5'2' 120 lb with athletic build. I normally wear a 2/4 in pants/dresses & XS petite in athleta pants. the skirt fit around the waist, but it was very long on me, especially in the back, compared to a couple other high end athletic apparel brands. I think the length in the back makes it almost questionable if I am wearing a miniskirt or a workout skirt. Still undecided.

cute,but...
very cute, my husband liked it as well. I would not recommend for exercise maybe if I lost a few lbs. The thigh area is tight and rides up, even when I am just wearing around town. I bought these to workout in for the Summer trying to get back in shape, like I stated maybe when the workout starts paying off these will be more comfortable.

nice running ...
These ... very light, they are great for running especially for the summer. They are very durable and easy to wash, they are good for training runs and gym workout. Only one thing I don't like about these ... they just have one tiny front pocket which Is only enough for the lipstick and a key and no space for anything else if you wear them for your marathons. In general, they are great running ... still give 5 stars for the colors, the cute look, and good fabric. I am 5"3 and 110lbs, XS fits well. I wish if Athleta would add on more pockets.

Fantastic Runnig ...
Absolutely love the Hana Run ... comfortable, light weight, and stylish - perfect for runs and gym workouts. I had been looking at these ... year before I decided to order a pair. So glad I did. Never ride up!
I am always the girl in class pulling her bike ... down, but not anymore. These are great, so great that when I'm in a high impact cardio class, I dont even feel them on. They stay put! I am 5'2, 120 lbs and the size small is perfect. I have both colors. If you do serious workouts, then ... great purchase.

Love! Ordering More
These ... perfect. I have yet to work out in them, but I am currently on crutches and the fit will under skirts and dresses. I've worn them all day and they remain comfortable and in place. I am certain they will perform under high intensity workouts!

I like these ... so much I just ordered another pair. Very comfortable for my gym workouts. I'm sure they would also be good for yoga. I'm small and it's often difficult to find pants that aren't hanging off of me. The size small ... fit perfectly.

High performance ...
These ... flattering and stay in place. I gave them 4 stars because the waist sits higher than I like, but maybe that is necessary in a compression type ... have been wearing them for Insanity workouts as well as for running and the legs never ride up at all. I wear a 2-4 and the xs is a perfect fit.

pockets make it better than your basic tight ...
I'm 5"4" 124# and pear shaped. I got a small and that seems correct. They fit fine and are flattering, the rise a lot higher than is depicted on the model, which is fine by me. The drawstring is not needed, but neither did I load up the pockets. The length is is mid thigh which is flattering. I found them a little hot for running, so I'll use ... gym. The purple detail is so cute, but not visible if your shirt comes to your hip, which is the only way most women who have had a babies will wear a shirt. It's a decent ... would be better with more purple .

A little tight
I bought ... use for my gym workouts. I'm 5'5" and weigh about 120. I normally wear mediums, so that's what I bought. However, ... were too tight -- not uncomfortable -- but too tight for me to modestly wear to the gym. I'll still use them for biking though.

These workout shorts are so comfortable!! I'm going to order another pair! I got the extra small and I'm 5'5" 118 pounds. They fit very true to size and are awesome for hot yoga as well as running!

I love these shorts! I am 47 and very active and was looking for a pair of workout shorts that are longer and cover a bit more skin! These are perfect! Not too long and not too ... also bought a pair in hot pink for my 14 year old and she loves them! I have the kickbooty yoga pants as well. The material is high quality and stands up well in the washer. I wash them on the handwash cycle and never put them in the dryer. Definately worth the price!

love these shorts
I am 5'1", 103 lbs and I wasn't sure whether to get the xsmall or small. I got the small and they fit perfectly. I don't like stuff that is too tight. I do Bikram yoga, so the extra length helps for tree pose. I LOVE these shorts. The material is super comfortable. I will definitely buy more workout stuff from Athleta, this was my first purchase.

Love your booty
What you see is what you get with these yoga shorts. They are very ... seams do flatter my rear nicely. very comfortable and they don't ride up too much. Perfect for yoga or any workout.

Great yoga shorts!
I really wanted the kickbooty capris to wear to yoga during the warmer months, but they're on backorder until the end of summer. I was super hesitant to try these shorts because I'm 5'9, 150 lbs, with big hips and thighs and a butt that's definitely not my favorite part of my body. I was afraid that I'd look stuffed into these shorts, or that they'd be too revealing for all of the bending that goes on in yoga. As soon as I put them on though, I knew they'd be great. Don't get me wrong.. I still don't look like the super athletic models in the photos, but the fabric is thick and stretchy enough to shape pretty well(and it's soft too.. they feel cotton y instead of like typical stretchy workout wear). I got the size M and they hit about an inch and a half below my navel, flattening the tiny bit of tummy I have and not giving me muffin top at all. They are fairly short(not even mid thigh) but they're definitely long enough that I feel comfortable on my 3/4 mile walk to the studio and I don't feel like I'm wearing booty shorts. I haven't noticed any sweat show through, and they definitely stay dry. I've only worn them twice so far but they seem well made.. we'll see how they hold up. I got them in asphalt, which might be just a little lighter than it looks in the photo, and now I want a black or pink pair as well.

Love the shorts, they are very comfy for workout. They have the right length, not too ... not too long. It is a pity you don´t make them in more colors (I have then in all the colors you have).

Great shorts!
I already own and love the kick booty pants so I knew I would love the fit of the kickbooty ... have several capri length workout pants and have been looking for fitted shorts for spin class for summer months. I like shorts that don't move or shift during my workout and these are great. They make my butt look good so that is a bonus!

Don''t stay put
I have tried just about all the Athleta shorts, and maybe it is just me, but I can't find a pair that don't creep up on me when I move. These were a perfect fit and super flattering-- until I moved. After just walking a few steps, they had crept up on me and were bunching up in the legs. Very disappointed in this. I am petite, 5'1" and about 103 lbs., and ordered the size XS. I am lean, but my legs are muscular, so I continue to be surprised that the leg openings on all the Athleta workout shorts are not snug on me and won't stay put.

Love these ...
I bought these ... both my daughter and I. We love them!! She is 5'9" 145 lb and I am 5"11" 180. I bought her the medium and me the XL. The XL are a bit loose, but I like it. I also love the length of the ... they are modest, but not too long. I wish the undershorts were tighter so they would stay in place a bit better, but over all for a gym workout or just a trip to the grocery these ... great!!

The Search is Over
I have searched high and low for workout ... aren't too ... tight and these are perfect! Comfortable, good length, easy to wash, and I love the asphalt color because it goes with every top I own. The compression ... give me the added privacy/security while stretching on the floor in my coed class. Love it!

Great Running ...
I am very happy with these ... am 5'5" and 130 lbs. I bought the small. The length is just right and the built in compression ... very comfortable. I use these for running but they would also be perfect for a gym workout or TRX workout.

Great ...
I love these ... I'm 55 yrs old and have had a very hard time finding good workout ... Not only do these look great and are very comfortable but the liner makes movement easy, and you don't feel like you're revealing too much. I'm 5'3" and 145# and I currently have the Large, but will try the Medium next time. Can't wait to get another pair.

Love this ... I'm take gym classes several times a week and love these ... any workout. They fit true to size, are a nice length (I'm 5'8") and are so comfortable. Love the built in tight ... loose fitting outer ... They are functional and cute.

BEST gym shorts
I mostly own running shorts, which left me seriously overexposed during one memorable gym workout. Ordered these, and they were so great I got two more colors. These are perfect for any workout requiring bending, kicking, bear walking, or waving legs around in the air! Compression shorts stay put and are comfortable, and the length is perfect. These aren't my first choice for running - I don't like this much fabric in a running ... - but I have run in them, and they were fine. Only thing I would change is making the compression shorts a dark color instead of white.

great multipurpose ...
These are my second pair of Take Two Short...I like the mesh liner and the length of these ... Great for gym workout or a run! I'm 5'5 , size 8-10, and the medium is perfect. The drawstring is really long, so it hangs out from under some shirts, but that isn't a huge deal.

These are GREAT!!
These ... great to workout in! I have both the black and the burgundy ... they are very comfortable. The inner lining was a surprise - I don't remember reading about them, but it's an added plus!!! Highly recommend!!

Runs large- size down.
To start off, I'm around 5'3" (maybe 5'4"?) and 118lb. Measurements are 33-25-37. I typically wear a small or a 4/6 in Athleta bottoms- occasionally, I can get away with a 2. I ordered my typical size S and found them to be much too large all over. I reordered in a size XS and love the fit. They are longer than many of today's workout ... but not at all "basketball" ... I've played b ball and those ... go down to my knees! This hits me mid thigh. Two minor complaints: the inner ... do ride up on me during dance aerobics/running. I have a thicker thigh/hip area, though- so this is probably the culprit. Also, I wish the inner ... were a solid fabric, instead of mesh. I still have to wear undies with them to maintain modesty, and 3 layers over my bottom seems a little excessive. I will reorder when this design flaw is remedied.

Great ...
I ordered this ... cross fit style workouts at the gym. I am 5'5" 140lbs and ordered the Medium Petite for a slightly shorter inseam (2 inches shorter than the regular). Perfect length for a little modesty when doing squats, etc. in a co ed gym. Waist was not tight, lies nice and flat and doesn't create any bulge or "muffin top". Actually ordered a second pair today because they were so comfortable and fit so well.

A lot better than expected!
I'm 5'10 and I wear a size 18/20 and ... fit great! I was worried that ... would be too ... too tight. The length is PERFECT for what I use them for. The lengh is right above the knee and while doing Bikram (hot) yoga ... like to see your knees. Also ... very light feeling so I was able to breath during my workouts. Great Product!!!

best ... ever
I bought the Kickbooty ... my first try at hiking in the Rockies and to wear to the gym for workouts. I am 5' 1" and on the large end of petite sizes, but the length and fit of the ... perfect. They are also soft and very comfortable. During my hike I tumbled over rocks, scooted on my seat when the terrain was too much for me, and got wet in a stream. The ... came through without so much as a snag or pill. I was even able to dust myself off and look presentable for a casual dinner out. Highly recommend for durability and comfort.

Love ...
I love ... Kickbooty ... gym workouts. I don't look good or feel comfortable in ... area a great alternative. I am a curvy/sturdy size 8, and the M fits great. Even those ... fitted, the seams on the back make the most of my curves and I like them. Overall - great ... - have them in 3 colors!

Love ...
Wanted the Kickbooty shaping benefits in a not too-short pair of ... summer gym workouts and Pilates. ... fit the bill nicely!! Was a little leery based on some of the previous negative reviews, but as soon as I tried on, no worries!! The ... provide great coverage, and freedom of movement, yet still flatter. Medium is great for my 5'9" height and 160+ lb frame; I bought in black, now would like to try another color!!

Finally a pair of yoga ... me
I read another review before buying ... instructed ordering up one size. I usually wear an Large but went with an XL. This was the right choice unless you like skin tight yoga gear. The quality of the material and stitching is fantastic. The cut is for real women, assuming I am one of them. Great pair of ... length is perfect and the leg of the bermuda isn't so wide as to flare out.

I would buy again but smaller size
... great ... gym workouts. I wish I had ordered the extra small, however. I am 5' 3" & about 113 lbs. & the small are ok when you first put them on - except the waist, wh/ is a bit loose but ok. However, they seem to stretch & get looser as the ... & sweat progress! It's a bit of a pain hitching up my britches in between sets but I'm still so glad that there is a great pair of bermudas that are not skin tight & too ... do not like capris - I'd order again but get the extra small. I'm going to try washing them in warm water & put them in the dryer to see if that helps.

Nice longer ... workouts!
I have this ... black and functions for my MMaxout class (similar to boot camp :)) . The one complaint is that it does ride up a bit and find myself pulling the ... down throughout the ... Fabric is great though. If Athleta offered an alternative bermuda that was simple in design, I'd try it.
