high impact sports tops - reviews

I have been looking for ... can be worn in public by a 50+ woman with too much weight, that does not restrict movement, lets me garden and paddle whitewater. So far, so good. The ... high enough I am not spilling breasts when I bend over, the cut away on the back leaves the shoulder blades free for movement and solid color does not feel like I am flashing a "Look at me" signal. I have not tried running with it yet but it feels like it will prevent bounce. I am 40C and the XL fit is snug.

My new favorite running ...
This is an excellent ... I've always avoided bra tops because of my long torso. I don't like tops that creep up or are too short, showing of my middle. I bought this from Athleta because it came in Tall. The ... perfect. I am 5'9", 125 lbs. The Tall small is the perfect size. The material is high quality. It does not feel hot even on very hot days. I love the 2 deep back pockets. I can use this ... my long runs and carry my gels. My only regret is I could only buy 1 right now.

Love it
Reliable go to for morning workouts, good support, can wear without a sports bra for moderate impact activities (I personally prefer high support for running) - gym, pilates, bootcamp, elliptical, etc. For reference I am 5'5", 140, and 34C. I wear this ... once a week at least....

I love the changes
I love that the changed the pr tank this season. The pockets are no longer sitting on your love handles, just properly position on your front side. This ... gives me the most support out of all the performance tops, without wearing a bra. 38D (with tummy). I own 1 of the previous style and 2 of this one. I also just purchased a printed energy ... Athleta needs to make more high impact support tops for larger breasted women.

Liked so much I bought another one
I chose this ... part because it's offered in tall. The small tall gave me the extra body length I need without being too big all over. I'm 5'8" and 34B (just) with broad shoulders and a slim torso. I thought the ... might chafe a bit under my arms because the armholes are quite high, but I had no chafing even after a long sweaty run. The ... very supportive in the chest, but the u shaped neckline bags just a tiny bit. This does not compromise support and is probably not noticeable by anyone but me. Below the chest, it fits close to the body without being tight; it doesn't flare out as I thought it might from the photo. I'm very picky about running tops, and I like this one so much I ordered another.

one of my favorites
I love this ... fit is great and the support works. For D+ cup support, I need to wear another bra with it for running or high impact activities... but for yoga or walking I can go without. I love the back pocket detail. The fabric has great performance qualities. It washes and wears really well.

Great ... overall. Obviously, good quality materials were used. I'd say if your bust is larger than an A cup you need to wear a sports bra under it for high impact activities. The waist is not too tight. I am 5"3 and a C cup. I ordered a medium and it was huge! The small fits perfect, but just not enough support for a runner! That is the only reason I gave it 3 stars.

No Style Here
I had high hopes for this ... Green color was cute, but the ... lacked any style. The pockets in the back were enormous and looked very bulky. Good ... long distance bike ride or some place where you would need to pack your own provisions. I returned it.

Love the style. Rough/Itchy back
For size reference, I am 5'5' 115 lb. 34C. The small fit perfect. I loved the fit, style and support. My workouts are not typically high impact, but this would work even if they were. Unfortunately, the stitching on the back was very irritating. I had read a few reveiws that mentioned this, but was hopeful it wasn't a consistent problem. I'm not extremely sensitive to this type of thing, but the longer I wore it, the more bothersome it became. I washed it, hoping that would help but not so. Too bad, because I would have ordered this in several colors otherwise.

Beautiful but...
I love the design of this ... search high and low for a ... proper support and pockets so I can use it for the gym or cycling in the summer. I have looked high and low for the strong support ... just like this ... POCKETS" for cycling for a long time. I can't find any!! Pocket is a must for cycling. Cycling jersey is thin and mostly designed by somebody who thinks shelf bra is enough. I thought this ... would work but it puckered at the chest funny. I'm only a 34B, when I bend down, the whole cleavage is for viewing. I agree with other reviewers also that the support bra can be thicker also. I have to return it but really wish that this ... would work. Athleta designers, if you are reading this, either fix this ... get us cyclers supported tops with Pockets please.

Ok ... not enough support
Bought a sz small which fit well, but it says support is high and I would have to disagree, I'm a 34c, 5'2", 115#, would've had to have worn another sports bra under to get enough support and coverage. Also when I put it on there was a scratchy material under the right arm hole which made it really uncomfortable. I am returning and trying another style.
