leggings and tights - reviews

great tights
I am 5.5 " tall, 135# and the small fit me perfectly. They are super soft on the inside and a nice light weight material. So far they have kept me warm for taking walks this winter. I like that they are a straight leg, and are very flattering. I also like that I don't need to adjust them all the time, just the occasional wedgie pick and the front pocket for the key is very handy and stays in place for me.I would definatley buy another pair.

excellent cool weather running pants
These pants (sort of a tights hybrid, not too snug on the calf) are super comfortable, breathable but wind resistant, soft, rather sexy feeling, and a great fit. I have tested them in morning runs of 38-47 degrees F. and strong wind and light snow. They are awesomely comfortable and I highly recommend them.

Great Outdoor Pant
I love these pants. I just started running and wanted to invest in a good pair of pants that would keep me warm while running outdoors. I live in PA so the fall/winter season has begun and night runs are on the brisk side. These are fleece lined so they keep you warm once you start your pace. I am 5'2" and bought the petite...the length was perfect. I did go up a size when ordering based on all the other reviews and have found them to be a bit baggy in the thigh and mid area. No problem though b/c Athleta exchanged them for me right away. Overall, great pant. Kept me warm. I may be investing in another ... ankle pant as the winter kicks in as I have a feeling the boot cut bottom will let the cold air in up the leg. We will see. I'd buy them again and recommend them to anyone.

LOVE THESE PANTS!
These are my new favorite pants! I bought both colors and wish they came in more colors. May buy the same colors again just because I want to wear them all the time! They are great for running in cold (up to low 40's) weather. I wear them a lot just running errands and I like that they are very flattering and neat looking. The medium tall was perfect for my 5'11" 145 body. I have long legs and these are the perfect length but any shorter and they would not work.

My New Winter Running ...
These ... perfect for my trail runs at the coast this Fall & Winter! I usually prefer wearing a compression ... but these ... fit great. They are fitted in the hips and thighs and opened up past the knee into a straight leg. I really liked that there's not too much fabric at the ankle to interfere with my run. I generally wear a medium and the medium fit perfectly. These ... look great and functioned well for me!

Favorite running pants/tights
I really love these running tights. They fit snug around the hips and butt and are looser below the knee, like the way a straight leg pant would be. I am 5'5" with a 31" inseam and found that these were long enough to go over the top of my sneaker. I'm also a size 16/18 in pants and the 1X fit great.

Great mild winter training tights
I got these to wear for a Thanksgiving morning fun run. I have other running tights/pants, but they are thinner and my butt and thighs always get cold. These are perfect! Fleecy on the inside, and insulating, but not too much for PNW winters. I was very comfortable at my race, even though the weather was low-30s and sleeting. They are a bit warm to wear in the gym if you are active, but great for lounging around. I have tried them on under my Pow Pow Cargo pants for use as a baselayer in frigid temps, and they are very comfortable.

Great, but BEWARE the inseam lengths!
First let me say that I love these 'tights'. To me, they are pants, but they are form fitting down to the knees, so I guess that makes them tights, with a straight leg. Anyway, I bought THREE pairs of these 1 year ago in size M Petite. Each pair says 'MP' on them. However, two of them are the actual petite inseam length of 28 & 1/2, and the other pair is the regular inseam length of 31 & 1/2. I measured all three of them with a measuring tape, because I noticed immediately upon wearing them that one was longer than the other two. So Athleta, WATCH your INSEAMS! I obviously got a pair that was mislabeled. With that said, I do like the longer ones better, so I find myself wearing that pair way more than the other two. So I guess I benefited from Athleta's mistake, but it was a mistake nonetheless. I will order a couple more pair, but in the 'regular' inseam length this time, and hope that they are correct. The pants are fabulous for walking/jogging/running... they are fitting so that they don't get it the way of your stride, just like the description says. But I didn't want a true pair of tights that are ... around the ankles and leave my ankles bare to the elements. These are perfect in that they cover your ankles and come down around your running shoes perfectly.... that is, if you get the right length. I am 5'2" and like I said, I found that the Petite length was too short. (Why a 3 inch difference between lengths??)

Runs Small & Short
I am 5'1" and 115 lbs - I ordered an XS Petite. I usually wear an XS in L&$Y activewear, so I thought I would be fine with an XS. I also have an XS Athleta running skort that fits just fine. These pants were too ... too short. I measured, and they are 28.5" for the petite as mentioned in the description, but I think because the rise is low, you'll want to hike them up as high as you can, and that makes them shorter. I'm exchanging them for a size Small in the regular length. Hopefully that will work as I liked the feel of them and I think the soft fleecy lining will be good for outdoor exercising in the winter. I also liked the fairly straight leg - not too flared, yet not leg hugging like a legging. I gave them 4 stars because they seem like they'll be a nice pant once I get the sizing right for me. like these a lot
I like these a lot for post workout and running errands. The weight of them is very nice and the inside of the ... very soft. My only complaint is that they fit funny in the front - they are form fitted (not ... rear and legs but gap a little in the front. I am going to see how they fit after I wash them and may exchange them for another pair if needed.

Not warm enough!
I bought these tights for winter running, hoping they would be warm enough for 10 to 30 degree temperatures, but they are too thin. I wore them once when it was 19 degrees and I was absolutely freezing. The fit is great, though. I am 6'2", 145, and the Medium Tall fits perfectly. Snug through the butt/hip/thigh and loose around the lower leg. The are soft and comfortable, but I may be returning them for something warmer.
