Love it!
This is my second twistini bikini and I just love it! I ordered a size smaller this time and found that it fit better for me. I usually wear a size 10 and ordered a size 2 in this ... fit perfectly. The fabric is tightly woven and lasts through many, many waves. I really can't say enough great things about this suit! Once you try it, you'll love it!
Love handle coverage
I was worried that these ... would look sloppy and that it wouldn't stay folded over, but much to my delight, they fit great! The folded over part hides my love handles and does not create the dreaded "muffin top" situation that tighter ... can. I had also ordered the medium tide ... but I found them to be much too high of a rise and unflattering. These ... rise and perfect for me!
A good purchase
I was a vacillating between the medium and ... tide and I'm really glad I got the ... tide. It sits higher than I am used to (30 years old, first time mom, transitioning from my usual string bikini to something a little less likely to fall off when playing with my son :) ) but it's not matronly and I am definitely not worried about flashing my butt crack when I bend over. My husband said it was sexy, as well. It offered more butt cheek coverage than I am used to, but again, not matronly. I'm 6 feet and a size 10 and got the large--it's almost too big, so I'd say if you're on the borderline between sizes, perhaps err on the small side. I'm very pleased with this! Think the foldover is cute.
Cute ...
These ... cute. The band is a bit weird like others have said, but with the top it comes off cute. I compromised because my original medium tides had such a high rise in the rear, i looked like i had a humongous booty, and these were the only ... tides left in my top's color (rosey red). I would have preferred ... without the band. Although it seems like you could have the band removed by a tailor- I am going to keep it. I always order a size up in swim- i wear Athleta Petite Small in workout pants here and usually a size 4 in jeans. I did order the Medium in these and this is a good fit for me. I do have large hips/bigger butt though and I need the coverage.
just ok
I like the coverage in the back. It covers enough without being a granny panty. This ... just right. Not too skimpy but not high waisted and hitting in an unflattering spot. The fold over material at the top just isn't my favorite. I don't think I would keep it if it weren't for the amazing bikini top I bought with it. I can't get the flap to lay right and it feels bulky and a bit uncomfortable. Also, If you are between sizes I would order the larger size.
Not what I expected
I love Athleta bathing suits! Love to buy the top in my bra size and coordinating bottom...but I guess I didn't get a good look at this ... website because I did not care for this rolled over feature. It was also a lower rise than I expected (my fault for not checking out the details!). I prefer a medium tide or high tide ... tide.
