Great ... suit! Returned for another color.
I bought these in the Chartreuse (yellow) and I loved the way they fit! I have an apple ... these cover everything just the way it should on a 40 year old! Still cute, but not reveiling too much. The color (Chartreuse) didn't really bother me, it seemed to have a tiny bit of green in it, which muted that bright neon yellow. I did end up returning the entire suit because the tops that I bought to match these ... didn't fit right. I DID like the ... lot, and decided to buy them in the Otter color "brown" to match another bikini top that I already had. I am 5' 2" tall and I weigh about 135 pounds on a good day. :) Hope that helped! I would like to add one more thing. I would love for Athleta to put out a few more coupons for their frequent buyers and/or the buyers who give detailed reviews. Thanks!
Love these ... Going to order more colors! I'm 5'6" 145lbs and the medium fits great! They're really flattering, especially if you're self conscious about your butt. These provide good coverage but do not look big or frumpy. They're cute and give you confidence while walking around in a swimsuit. Not a itty bitty bikini ... all.
Great ... little tummy
I am almost 50, 5'7" and 125-8 #. I am fairly trim, but am starting to get a little thicker around the thighs. This ... has that extra band of material at the waist that helps to cover your tummy a bit. It is like a thick banded pair of yoga pants where the band helps to reign in that extra skin/fat at the waist. I actually owned a pair already and saw the sale and got several pairs in different colors to mix and match with my tankini tops from Athleta. I will never wear a bikini again, but these ... seem to work well for me. I also think the shirring also hides things too and dresses them up.
Great Bikini ...
Bought these for my teenage daughter who wants a bikini. She is 13 and most ... out there do not look appropriate for a young teenager. This ... cute (she likes that) and offers great coverage (we like that). She ordered the twistini bikini top to go with this ... deep purple and it look so good together. Very pleased. Also the most pain free bikini shopping we have done in a long time. The xxs was a perfect fit.
Love these ...
The best thing about these ... shirred fabric on the front. Although I'm petite, after having 2 babies via c section, there is a bump on my tummy that most bikini ... accentuate...but not these! Hopefully this isn't too much info, but I really feel like these are the answer to my bikini prayers and wanted to maybe help someone else who worked their butt off to get back their pre baby body! The coverage is good too -- I really feel like I can chase after my 2 young children at the beach and not put on a show unintentionally! I will be buying more colors -- this is THE suit I will be wearing this summer!
Runs small
I originally ordered this ... size M and had to return it for a L as I felt it was too tight and gave me a bulging, muffin top look on my sides. The L fit much better. Interesting though as I have the same bikini ... different suit in size M and haven't had a problem with the way it fits in the 2 years I've owned it. I think this ... just runs a little smaller. I am 5'10, 150 lbs. with a muscular body but full butt. I love it with the matching red halter top which is feminine fitting without having too much coverage to make me feel frumpy! I'm hoping it works out well on vacation next week and if so, I may come back to order the same suit in black.
Lots of Coverage
This bottom has a fairly high rise in the front and lots of coverage for my curvy rear end. The ruching in the front is actually a seperate piece of material. I had 15 pounds of twins in March and this ... sufficient to cover my still saggy belly. If you are looking for coverage this is your go to piece. If you are looking for something a little more revealing I would skip this and find a lower rise.

I ordered these ... both the blue wave and coco bean to go w/2 printed tankini tops. I think breaking up a print looks better, less busy. I'm a size 2-4, ordered the small and they fit well. A medium would have been too big on my butt, although it may be better on the waiste. Like a few other revieweres have said, the medium rise ... can create a fit of a muffin top. Not sure if the elastic is too tight, or it's where they sit (?). My advise is, diffuse the little "spillage" that you may get by pairing it w/a printed tankini top. Don't notice it as much w/a printed top, as opposed to a solid.All in all, they stay put (while chasing after 2 young kids) and they're not skimpy, but not matronly either. My husband thinks they are the best looking ... out of all the ones i own.
Matching bikini ...
Nice fit, perfect coverage for the front and rear. I found a cute ... match my Athleta bikini top that can almost hide the baby stretch marks around my mid section. Its flattering and the solid color does not bring attention to the area I don't want notice. I chose a small and the fit is fine.
Good quality, but not enough booty for me!
I ordered this ... along with the not so-string bikini with the intention of keeping only the one that fit better. My mom was nervous that the not so-string would be too skimpy (we have the shared experience of rarely finding a ... effectively covers our bubbly booties), so I ordered the sporty shirred thinking that it would be a little more conservative. On the contrary, this ... not only had less booty coverage, but the bands were so tight around the legs that it cinched up my butt in the least flattering fashion! Perhaps if I had ordered a size up it would have fit better, but the style is just not for me. The other issue is a common one for me- the rise was too high. I have a very short torso, so most "modest" ... look like granny panties on me. I ended up returning this one. That being said, this ... (along with everything else I've ordered here) was of good quality- the color (black) matched the other pieces I ordered, the stitching was strong and even, and the fabric was soft and seemed durable.
Just not the right ones for me
I am 5'2" and 133 pounds. I ordered the medium and the sizing was correct but these just weren't the right ... me. Having the shirring just in the front was a little wierd and I think it would have looked better all the way around. Being petite the rise was a little high for me and just didn't look right. The back was great full covereage but these went back in favor of the Not so-string ... me.
