I love this dress. I bought two of them and I was not disappointed. I admit I was a bit nervous as I waited for my order (after having read all the reviews that claimed the dress was too "clingy"). I do not like "clingy" clothes. I do not wear short skirts either, thus I ordered the tall M. It is perfectly perfect! I am 5'4, usually a size 8 or sometimes a 6. I am slightly smaller on top than on the bottom. This dress falls exactly as it should: in a perfect A line. It does NOT hug my hips and it drapes around the bust beautifully. It is not too low cut. I am a teacher and I wear my dresses to work. They are very appropriate and in no way "revealing". My bust is perfectly encased. The fabric is divine - soft and thick so that it does not look flimsy. I would not recommend this dress to someone with a large bust or very wide hips. I am curvy, and definitely NOT slim. After two children I do not have a flat stomach (far from it!), yet if I were two inches wider on top or on the bottom this dress would not be flattering. On the downside, it is somewhat pricey. As it is, I love it so much that I would buy five more - except I do not like the other colors! PLEASE make this dress in some more fun colors (I own the "chalkboard" and the "olive")! How about coral pink, asparagus green or aquamarine???? Fall colors would be nice too: pumpkin spice, aubergine and palm green!! I would buy two of each! Thanks, Athleta.
My favorite summer dress so far
I recently purchased this dress and I love it. It fits so well. I love the material because it is a little thicker fabric than the modal/viscose and doesn't show every little bulge. I usually order a small or a 6 in clothes and I am 5'3" tall. The small fit great and the length was at or a little above my knees. I am also a 34C bra size and surprisingly I felt very held in and covered. The V neck is not too low. It is great because I have small children and feel like I am not hanging out of the dress if I have to bend over or run around. I am very happy and excited about this purchase!
I love this dress. It is flattering and I can wear it to the grocery store or a neighborhood party. I wish all my clothes served me this well.

I love this dress! I can dress it up with accessories to go out on date night with my husband, or I can just throw it on to go out to the store with flip flops. It always looks great! The only problem with it was that it came in too many colors, which made it hard to pick out which one I wanted to buy! It is super comfy (which is very important to me), and I get a ton of compliments on it when I go out. I will always buy my clothes from Athleta, they are super cool!!
stolen dress
I absolutely loved this dress when it came in the mail last week--it fit great, looked great and was exactly what i needed (a dress that could be used as a beach cover up or, with some jewelry and nice shoes added, a dinner/evening dress). however, this dress, along with the very cute bikini top/bottom/skirt i ordered from athleta earlier this summer was stolen before i got to wear it! sadly, my entire suitcase full of clothes and shoes and make up was stolen just before i went to the Virgin Islands for what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation in the sun. so i never got to wear this dress. I hope that Athleta would be willing to send me a replacement for free (OK, half price?). losing this dress was the thing i was most upset about of all the things in my suitcase!
Don''t put it in the dryer!
I'm on my second Senorita dress, and I love it. I'm an elementary school teacher, so this dress is perfect when I want to look professional but still be comfortable. If you tend to put your clothes in the dryer, I would recommend buying a size up, as this garment shrinks considerably over time!
Very comfortable and flattering
Bought this on impulse and very glad I did.[...] I didn't have time to pre wash the heavy purple dye out of the dress. So when the dress accidentally got wet, dye got all over things. But the fit is fabulous and it is very comfortable to wear. I did buy a size larger than I normaly buy, because I have found that Athleta clothes run tight or smaller than Gap clothes. The fabric is soft and breathable, even in the tropics which is where I went to vacation. Packs well.

I was looking for a cute, casual dress that was versitile, and this is it! Previous reviews stated they ordered the tall size to give more length, and that was a GREAT recommendation! I usually don't order clothes in Tall sizes( I'm 5'7") , but I didn't want to sit down in it and then be concerned too much thigh was showing :) One last comment due to the stretchiness, kindof tough to iron, but still a worthy purchase!
Too big!
This dress is so cute on a friend of mine that I ordered my own. Im' 5' 1" and 113 lbs., so I ordered the small in a petite size. (When I read the measurements that are meant for each size, I fit into the small category but when I actually try on the clothes it is sometimes a different story.) The dress looked like a sack of potatoes on me, so back it goes. I'm hoping that the XS is more flattering.
I got an XS (I always wear a 2 and hwear other XS Athleta clothes). It was too tight in the chest and I'm very flat chested. It also didn't fall quite right in the back. The top of the dress kind of stuck up a little. The material was nice, but seemed a little dressier than I had thought. I'm going to return it.

The medium was too large all over, but especially in the chest (I'm a 36B). It was just a bit long. The small would have worked but it was too short (I'm 5'10"). I'm disappointed in the fit of many of Athleta's clothes and probably won't order anything again.
