womens sweaters and jackets - reviews

Perfect for travel
Love the color and lining. Perfect for my smallish frame - not baggy, but room for sweaters.

Love the jacket, slightly big
I got an XS, but it is slightly too big (5'3-115lb), however, I do not mind this fact given that the fabric is thin, this is an excellent layering jacket, so I intend on wearing sweaters underneath in spring/fall. I really love the style, color, and compactability of this jacket - it is going to be excellent for rolling up in a bag or larger purse. I haven't had the chance to wear it yet, but like I said, I anticipate wearing it in 50+ degree weather.

So cute!
This is just as cute on as it is in the pictures. I am typically a medium in athleta jackets, so that is what I ordered. I am 5'8'' and 125 lbs. I could maybe get by with a small, but like the fact that I could put a ... fleece under this, so will keep the medium. It is very light weight, so wouldn't provide much warmth, just wind protection. I haven't had a chance to wear it yet. I live in WIsconsin and we are having the winter that just won't end. The sleeves are plenty long, but I prefer that to something too short. Really cute. So glad I purchased this!

Love this jacket!!!
This jacket is SO cute; I can't wait to wear it! Such a nice departure from the usual khaki trench coat style/color. I'm usually a medium to a large, but because I am fairly busty and I knew I'd probably want to layer sweaters underneath, I ordered this in a large. I probably could have gotten away with a medium but I can't stand anything tight or constricting. It is nice and roomy, plenty of room for layering.

I love this!
I am a 50-something woman who is young at heart. 5'4" and 120 pounds, I bought the size small and think it's one of the cutest jackets I've ever purchased. I found it on sale online and wasn't sure about the color. Well, it's perfect, as is the fit. It's lightweight and I love the hood zipped into the collar.

Best Anorak ...
The shock cord anorak ... bought from Athleta recently is one of the most comfortable and stylish jackets I have ever owned. I absolutely LOVE it!!! Would love to have it in Black too:))) Its great to wear to the club for my pilates class or just out running errands.

Great ...
I usually don't complete reviews mostly because I don't have time however, when I purchased this ... read a lot of the reviews and they were really mixed so I wanted to post a review this time. I ordered a medium in this ... because I usually take a medium as I like jackets a little big (I wear medium in tops but sometimes small). I am 5'5" and about 135 pounds. However, it was very long on me and very large all over. So I ordered the small and hung onto the medium so I could compare them. The small fits great. It is a little long but based on the picture it is supposed to. This is our rainy season down here in GA and I have already worn this many times. I love it. I have looked for a long time for a cute rain coat and this is just perfect. I love it! So, I would recommend you order 1 size down.

Too tight in chest for size small, waiting for medium to come in stock!
I LOVE this ... but PLEASE Athleta if you are reading this order more gray in medium! It is not in the stores or online and obviously black is not as popular especially this time of the year.I have been wanting something like this for our trip to Europe in the spring and fall. I take a size small in most brands, especially jackets, but was going to order a medium anyway for layering underneath (like wearing a ... tend to get hot easily, so this seemed the perfect wind breaker and light ... take with me I could easily fold up in my tote. It fits perfectly and looks pretty good all the way up until I try to zip it up to my chin that is where it surprisingly does not zip comfortable over a small c size chest. Of course they seem to never have a medium in stock of the gray. They ran out and I wrote the company to please order more. But when they did they sold out of the medium so fast I could not get one and now have to send this small back I gambled on and hope more come in. If you are a size C or even a B consider the medium and not the small. The other thing I marked a star off for is it really does not hang nicely like it does on the model photos at the bottom. You have to mess with it. I am not too concerned about this but it is poor representation of the product.

Cute, but not performance oriented enough
I was looking for a rain jacket long enough to cover my bum, and cute enough to wear as an everyday jacket. This was cute enough for sure, but it is NOT waterproof by any means. I wouldn't even call it water resistant, honestly. Anything other than a light mist and it would soak through. The fabric is lovely, light and silky, and quiet. Other reviewers didn't care for the cut, which flares out toward the bottom, but I'd describe it as a classic A line - the ruching makes the chest more fitted and then it flows out to an A line shape. I'm pear shaped and thought it was flattering. On the technical side, I'm 5'6", 135lbs, size 4 and the small was too small. Medium was perfect. The wrists are gathered elastic and not adjustable. The zipper is not 2-way which I found odd in a ... length. Had it been more water resistant with adjustable wrists and a 2-way zipper I'd have kept it.
