womens sweaters and jackets - reviews

Perfect for travel
Love the color and lining. Perfect for my smallish frame - not baggy, but room for sweaters.

Love the ... slightly big
I got an XS, but it is slightly too big (5'3-115lb), however, I do not mind this fact given that the fabric is thin, this is an excellent layering ... so I intend on wearing sweaters underneath in spring/fall. I really love the style, color, and compactability of this ... - it is going to be excellent for rolling up in a bag or larger purse. I haven't had the chance to wear it yet, but like I said, I anticipate wearing it in 50+ degree weather.

Super Silky
Love this coat. . ..It is more of a "windbreaker" than a rain coat! I love the soft, silkyness of the material, although it definitely is not something that will keep you warm. So, here in Connecticut I will have to wait until Spring to wear it. I ordered the black and raspberry and am very happy with the color as well as the style. It fits perfectly. I ordered a large and normally wear a medium to large in a ... but will most likely need a sweater or sweatshirt under this.

Love this ...
This ... SO cute; I can't wait to wear it! Such a nice departure from the usual khaki trench coat style/color. I'm usually a medium to a large, but because I am fairly busty and I knew I'd probably want to layer sweaters underneath, I ordered this in a large. I probably could have gotten away with a medium but I can't stand anything tight or constricting. It is nice and roomy, plenty of room for layering.

I love it!
I know from some of the other reviews that some people didn't like this, but I think it's just perfect for my needs. It's lightweight, and can easily be rolled up into a suitcase or backpack. It's also cool and unusual looking. I'm not a pink person at all, but the tiny bits of pink adorning the black make it cheerful and fun. It's long, but perfect for covering leggings or skinny jeans to low thigh area. I haven't worn it in the rain, so I can't say yet about its functionality. I'm hoping for the best, as I find myself wearing it a lot - on cool days with a sweater or fleece underneath, and on warmer days as a windbreaker. I am small chested so the gathering at the bust and shoulders works just fine. I got the medium - I'm 5'6" 110 lbs. It fits comfortably, and is definitely not too roomy.

Best Anorak ...
The shock cord anorak ... bought from Athleta recently is one of the most comfortable and stylish jackets I have ever owned. I absolutely LOVE it!!! Would love to have it in Black too:))) Its great to wear to the club for my pilates class or just out running errands.

Perfect raincoat for travel or everyday!
Love this raincoat. It is lightweight yet warm. I love the longer length and the adjustable cords that can tighten and cinch where you may need it. It is very flattering. I am 5'5", 142lbs and athletically built, and I usually wear a small or medium, but I ordered this in a medium and found it to fit just fine, with maybe a little wiggle room for wearing a sweater or something warm underneath.

Love It
Love this ... super soft and looks great. It is a little longer than some of my other jackets, but anoraks usually are. Pull cords allow for a custom fit. Sleeves fit me perfectly. I wear it regardless of the weather, rain or shine. I usually take a Large, but the Medium works best for me in this ... Have to be quick ordering though, these go really fast.

Great ...
I usually don't complete reviews mostly because I don't have time however, when I purchased this ... read a lot of the reviews and they were really mixed so I wanted to post a review this time. I ordered a medium in this ... because I usually take a medium as I like jackets a little big (I wear medium in tops but sometimes small). I am 5'5" and about 135 pounds. However, it was very long on me and very large all over. So I ordered the small and hung onto the medium so I could compare them. The small fits great. It is a little long but based on the picture it is supposed to. This is our rainy season down here in GA and I have already worn this many times. I love it. I have looked for a long time for a cute rain coat and this is just perfect. I love it! So, I would recommend you order 1 size down.

Too tight in chest for size small, waiting for medium to come in stock!
I LOVE this ... but PLEASE Athleta if you are reading this order more gray in medium! It is not in the stores or online and obviously black is not as popular especially this time of the year.I have been wanting something like this for our trip to Europe in the spring and fall. I take a size small in most brands, especially jackets, but was going to order a medium anyway for layering underneath (like wearing a sweater). I tend to get hot easily, so this seemed the perfect wind breaker and light ... take with me I could easily fold up in my tote. It fits perfectly and looks pretty good all the way up until I try to zip it up to my chin that is where it surprisingly does not zip comfortable over a small c size chest. Of course they seem to never have a medium in stock of the gray. They ran out and I wrote the company to please order more. But when they did they sold out of the medium so fast I could not get one and now have to send this small back I gambled on and hope more come in. If you are a size C or even a B consider the medium and not the small. The other thing I marked a star off for is it really does not hang nicely like it does on the model photos at the bottom. You have to mess with it. I am not too concerned about this but it is poor representation of the product.
Would not recommend
I ordered this in grey and was very disappointed. It is mousey and really unflattering and frumpy. Very voluminous around the hips and upper thigh. I do not know many women who want a ton of volume there. The top is very cute, it just loses it in a big way on the bottom half. Returned it immediately.
