Finding my first ... skirt has been an adventure! I tried them on in department stores and thought they were overall cut for an older person - I ordered from other catalogs and when I received my package from Athleta, I sent the other packages back because the fit didn't compare to this one. It is cut for a fit and athletic type with coverage but a younger style. Thank you for providing such a great product - i now have my vacation and summer swimsuit!
Perfect fit
I love this ... skirt. It has the perfect amount of coverage. I have dozens of swimsuits, but this year the skirt with the matching hot pink and white matching tankini are the best fit I have ever found in a ... Every year I try to find one that fits better. This is it. I had a chance to try it out in Cancun this winter. I was very comfortable walking the beach, and in the water. It stays put, and looks great. If this helps I am in my upper fifties, am 5-1 and about 108 or so. I bought the small and it fits great. No muffin top either. Finally I found something I love.
Pleasant surprise!
I had tried the Vital Short and it just didn't work (in any ... my curvier body. I ordered this on a whim and love it! It's really the perfect style. It covers up the upper thigh area but doesn't, in my opinion, look matronly because it is short. Looks really cute with Lani Kai tanktini top I purchased. Just to clarify it is a ... bottom not just a skirt made of swimsuit material. I ordered a medium and generally wear a ... 6 (occasionally an 8).
just right swim skirt
This skirt fits true to size. I am a size 4 and I ordered the size S. It's a pretty basic swim skirt with a built in panty. It seems comfortable and will be a good addition to my swim wear collection.
Love it!
I love this ... skirt so much I bought it in 3 colors! I am a mother of 3. We go to the pool almost every day in the summer and I need a swimsuit that covers my 41 year old rear end while chasing the kids- but still want something cute and sporty. I especially like the length because it's long enough to cover but not too long. I also like the fact that the waist sits a little bit low and doesn't cause 'muffin top." I should also mention that the colors match perfectly with some of the printed swimsuit tops that Athleta offers. I will probably buy more this summer!
Long Dry Time
Great sport utility plus coverage. Perfect for surfing. My only complaint is it has a long dry time. Longer than expected. If it could dry quicker, it would be perfect!
Great Fit and great for my ego
Love this swim skirt! I am a classic pear shape (size 4 on top and ... 6 on the bottom). So, I usually have to buy separates in swimwear so I can get different ... whenever I buy swim bottoms and other pants that are ... S, M L, that need to fit the "hip" area, I always buy a Medium just to be sure they will fit nicely (not too tight). Well, after reading many reviews on this skirt, I VERY hesitantly ordered a ... Small hoping that I wouldn't have to return it for a Medium (and being concerned that a Medium wouldn't be right either because of my 23" waist!) I was VERY HAPPY when I tried this swimskirt on and it fit almost perfectly! The only thing is that I can see a little of the panty line ... but I'm sure once I tone up some more, that issue will be resolvedI I also wish Athleta prices were a little more affordable ... I would surely order more items. I will definitely be a return customer, though!
Great coverage and comfortable for pregnancy
This is a great maternity swimsuit. I didn't want a tankini and that is the only way you can buy a maternity swimsuit. Instead I ordered this in a slightly bigger ... so that it can help cover some problem areas. It is very stylish. The skirt material is very clingy to your body once it gets wet but still looks okay.
my new swimsuit
I purchased four pieces to mix and match not for performance swimming but for pool swimming. I like the shoulder straps because halter straps put too much strain on my neck (and I am small busted). The bikini top with skirt is a cute look but I am long waisted and the skirt hung very low on my hips even though I ordered the smallest ... But it did cover the top of my thighs and hit at just the right length to look cute and NOT frumpy! All in all, I am very satisfied : )
Sorry to say I''ll need to return this item.
Impressed with the quality of the material, and I liked the style a whole lot, BUT for a plus size, its too short, I need it about 12 to 1 inch longer to cover more skin that I do not want exposed, nor does the public.
Vanity ... Stinks
I bought the XXS in this cute ... skirt--I'm 34, 5'4" and 102 pounds. I've had three children, and am bigger, measurement wise than I've ever been. When in college I was the smallest I've ever been (hips and waist) and able to find clothes that actually fit. I'll have to take this skirt to the tailor to make sure it will stay put while I'm swimming--frustrating. I'm an adult, want to wear a modest but cute swimsuit, and should be able to find something that fits. Love the suit; hate vanity ...
