I'm 5'4, 130 lbs, 34DD bust. I usually wear a small, but the small was too tight around the bust (I was bulging out of the sides) and gave me the back fat and muffin top effect. I went ahead and ordered the medium which was a little too big, but once I washed it and hung dry it, I don't know what happened, it now fits perfect! I love it. So I'd say this is not true to size (my comparison is size small in Nike tanks, which is 4/6). I'd go up a size in this tank from Athleta. Good support, nice fabric, and definitely flattering.
Great Support Tank
Love this tank (have in 3 colors). Runs true to size, many reviews said ran small so I ordered up a size & had to exchange for smaller size. Has good support, great for walking & spin class, not enough for running (I wear a 34d, size 10-12 & have this in a medium)
Great plus size workout clothing
Yay for Athleta! Finally a company that has cool workout clothing for plus ... women in great colors. The PR top is great for my daily gym workouts and I look forward to trying your other plus ... tops as well. Thanks so much for energizing my workout!
Best Running Tank Ever!
I love this tank! Not only was it super comfy to wear while running 11 miles yesterday in the Florida humidity, but I got compliments from my running pals as well! My pack of sport beans fit perfectly into the back pockets, not moving at all. A plus when you are out on the road doing long runs. I would buy one in every color!
Cute Red Tank
First off I really appreciate that Athleta has plus size garments, that said, this top was a bit snug. I usually wear a 1-2x and purchased a 2 thinking I'd want a looser fit to exercise in. This top runs smaller.
Great workout top - and cute too!
I am 5'9, 36C cup. I ordered this shirt in a Medium, Tall. It fit just as expected. I found it a bit tight in the chest, but not uncomfortably so; plus in order to offer the support it advertises, I figured it needed to be that way. I got the turquoise one and found the color to be as advertised. I'll mostly be using this top for yoga - I think it offers excellent coverage for those downward dogs, but I'll also use it for running as well.
Excellent Top for Small B and Below
I purchased the green PR tank, and love everything about it. The fabric is durable and well made, plus the shelf bra holds like a real running bra! I used this bra for a hike the other week, and it did splendid. People commented on the back pockets, which is great for holding IDs or keys. The only con I would say this bra has is if you are a C cup or above, you will have to wear an additional sport bra underneath for running. However, for other activities that are not as high impact, it will do the job. Again, I would recommend this bra only for small B and below cup ... if you plan to wear it alone.
Plenty long but WAY too tight in the chest
I ordered this PR tank in the size I should wear according to the size charts. The elastic band on the bottom of the bra was so tight, I could barely get it on or off, let alone breath. I was really dissappointed considering these tanks come in Tall - Tall workout clothes are hard to find. The color was beautiful and the quality was really nice but I recommend ordering one size up since the bottom band on the bra runs so small.
Beautiful Green Color!
I loved the color of this top; thought it would fit in nicely in my Zumba class (same color as my Zumba sticks)! The fit was not right for me. I ordered a size xs, but should have ordered a size xxs. I normally wear a size 0 in dress/pants ... Also, I did not like the pockets on the back side. The material was very nice.
nice but...
I bought this tank for running. I am an avid runner and I wanted something that didn't rub when I was running. This tank is very cute and sporty however it did not fit in the chest area. I am 5'1" and about 130lb athletic "pear" shaped build. I am about a size 6 on top and an 8-10 on the bottom. I purchased the small and it was gaping on top and would not have provided me the support I needed plus it just plain looked too big. I returned it and ordered an xs which was hard to get over my head but once on fit great and comfortably in the chest but left me self conscious about the waist and hip area as it fit a little too snug. I love the design, the color (green) and I LOVE the back pockets which are great for long distance running, which was my main attraction to the shirt in the first place. I'm sad it didn't work out, thought it would have been a keeper...it's just not designed for petites I guess.
Disappointing
I liked what I read. I am a plus size strong lady, and I wanted the colors. If these tops had been cut better to enclose the inevitable spread of plus size "girls", I would have kept the 2 I ordered. Unfortunately, the tops at least looked like I might spill out, and that made them unacceptable. Length and quality was fine, but accommodation to bust was not realistic for plus size, and plus size ladies, do yoga, spin, work out in gym etc. So, I am disappointed that I had to return 2 items.
