rash guards for women - reviews

Nice looking ... top, as a dress not so much
I ordered one size up from my normal size after reading this item ran small. It is very nice looking top. I particularly like the long sleeves as I burn easily. This is great for me, because it's not as tight as the teen sized ... guards they sell for people with a small chest, but it is still pretty and not completely the loose type I've seen. It hides figure "flaws", if you know what I mean. If I planned to wear it as a dress I would need to go up another size as it is tight around my hips/stomach. I own a couple cover ups and wouldn't enjoy wearing a wet dress anyway, so it works fine for me.

Perfect for surfing and snorkeling!
I wore this rash guard for six days of surfing in Costa Rica. It was perfect! The ocean is warm in Costa Rica, so I wore this top for sun protection and rash protection. Unlike other rash guards, this top does not ride up. It sat nicely on my hips, even after wipe outs. The cut is also very flattering. I had many compliments from fellow surfing students and instructors! I am 5'5" and I weigh 130 lbs. and I purchased a small. This top fit me snugly, but it was not overly tight. It stretches when you get it wet, so remember this when trying it on for the first time. The top gathers nicely at the waist, which helps camouflage a stomach that's not perfectly flat! I will likely purchase another one of these tops for my next surfing adventure. It would be nice to have two if you're surfing daily so that the other top can fully dry before you wear it again. I've also worn this top snorkeling in colder waters. I like that I can pull it down past my butt if I start getting chilled. I own several rash guards and diving tops and this is my favorite!

alas, maternity ... style for pregnant moms
I love this top. It is just what i expected. I'm 5'6, 127lbs, and a 2/4 pre pregnant. Based on previous reviews and my growing belly, i opted for a M and it fits great, plenty of room to grow. I am a 32D at the moment and about 19 weeks pregnany. I think my waist is about 30" right now. The length stretched out covers my bottom, and there is plenty of room for my belly. I hate sunblock, so this will be a great non messy alternative for my trip next month. I don't think I wouldve sized up if i wasn't pregnant. This is baby number 2 so my belly is growing a bit faster. It is a bit expensive, but when a small tube of sunblock only goes so far, this will last and last. I got the blue and it is very very bright, much brighter than the picture. Wish it was in red too! or even black. I think it will be great after baby too as the length is adjustable and the material is stretchy. I think ... guards are meant to be more fitted, so don't size up unless you like a looser fit.

Super cute!
Love this rash guard, so much cuter than all my other rash guards. Ordered the XS, felt it ran true to size. Expected it to be long and it certainly is, but with the ruching and ties on the sides you can make it as long or short as you want. The color (Flare Pink) is bright and vibrant and fabric is what I expected--just like a ... perfect for when I'm ocean kayaking and paddle boarding.

Got One, Now I Want More
I am 5'4", 140 lbs, 36-38C. I bought a size Medium. I have had my eye on this rash guard for a few months now, so when it went on sale and combined with the post Thanksgiving savings, I bought it. It came in the mail today as we were on our way to the beach so I was able to try it out right away. The first thing I loved about it was the zipper front. I have been annoyed in the past by other rash guards because the neck feels too confining/tight. The zipper front on this shirt gives you the option to have it up for full protective coverage, or down a bit so you can cool off and breathe a little. The second thing I loved was the length of the arms...it hits a little past the wrist and stays there. Even when I got in the water it didn't move and was very comfortable. Thirdly, the fabric was really nice. A little bit different than your average rash guard, I felt it was a little bit softer and not so slick. Last, I loved that it is longer than other rash guard shirt. They have a tendency to sneak up on you as you're swimming or doing other water things, and this one stayed in place. The temperature when I wore it was 82 degrees with a breeze, and with the long sleeve shirt on, it was really comfortable. I used it for stand up paddle boarding today, and I didn't feel there were any issues with mobility. I got the green and it's a fun color. My husband thought it looked great as well and told me I should get another one in a different color. Hello black rash guard! I'm looking at you next!

Great top but definitely runs small. I am usually an xs in everything but this was really tight. Like the length which runs a little longer than most guards but great that you can adjust it.

A wonderful ...
Most ... guards are shapeless, but not this one. It's form fitting and feminine, making it a nice complement to your swimsuit rather than a boxy cover up. As someone who is very fair, I appreciate that this protects me from sunburn while also looking incredibly fashionable. I like it so much I bought two!
