I knew this was going to be great
I love this ... modern, functional and fits great. I am 5'11" and got the regular length as I wanted it a bit short so I could wear tights under it and it is officially my new uniform. I get tons of compliments on it. I have transformed my standard look of workout tights and tank tops by adding this ... along with the CYA, tech stretch and sherpa skirts. Tights do not "stick" to this ... they do with the sherpa and tech stretch skirts. Not a huge deal but one less slight annoyance. Great deal on sale!
A nice little ... - especially at the sale price
This is a great ... steal at the sale price. Got the light grey which looks really nice with the contrast zippers. I'm a size 6 and the 6 fit true to size - perhaps a touch loose in the waist but there is a drawstring. It is a bit stiffer than I had anticipated (the blizzard ... much softer/more pliable) and I didn't find it too short as other reviewers have stated. Wear it with leggings and snowboots for a really cute look.
great ... but...
I loved this ... online, & still love it in person. I even like that it's short -- it would be very cute with tights. BUT I'm slender, though by no means anorexic, & find that Athleta's size 0 fits more like a 2 or 4 from other manufacturers. There's no easy way to take in the waist on this, & the only way I can make it work is to tuck in a heavy sweater. I just don't want to be that limited -- what if I want to wear it with a sweater out, or it's a short one that comes untucked, & the ... immediately slides down? I'm very reluctantly returning it, along with a few pairs of shorts that I have the same problem with. Curiously, Athleta's size XS is sometimes tight on me in dresses & tops. Athleta, please create a size 00 or X0 or whatever you want to call it, but definitely a smaller numerical size for your pants, skirts & shorts!
Unique ...
These skirts are great and look so stylish on. I have both the black and ice. The ice has grey zippers and looks better than on the website. I got the 12 tall so it is several inches above the knee - I'm 5'8". The fleece lining is very toasty and my only suggestion would be to add a little spandex. The material is pretty stiff, but a good snow and water repellant. They will look great with my Baco black boots and leggings. Can't wait for winter!
versatile ... looks great
Like this ... alot, fits good and looks nice. Material looks likeit will wear well and lends itself to not only using for winter sports but casual wear as well. Seems to be relatively wrinkle free and I am going to take it on a road trip. I did read the reviews and choose my size according to the reviews. I ordered the size that I normally wear. The cut on this ... slighlty more generous than the snow stomper which I ordered one size up. I again ordered regular length as these skirts are on the short size. I'm in my late 40's with a curvy figure and 5 ft. There is a draw string which would be of help to someone with smaller hips and or build.
Flattering
I'm 5'2", 125 lbs and the size 4 fits me great. The design of the ... flattering, and the material is very nice "jacket like" material that feels like great quality. I ordered quite a few skirts from Athleta, hoping to find 4 or 5 keepers, and although this ... nice I'm going to send it back because I've found others that I like more. My complaint is that I'm not fond of the colors it is offered in.
Great ... but a lil short...
I love the fit and style of this ... but it's a lil' short. I actually thought it was folded in half when I first saw it in the plastic bag. This could be my fault for not reading all the reviews. I'm usually a size S or 4/4P (5'2" 128lbs) in Athleta and for the most part, when I buy skirts or dresses, I always get a petite size when available. This way, I don't have to get it hemmed and the waist and hips are somewhat narrower on a petite. But this ... petite size is SHORT....a true mini. I thought about returning it, but I figured I would give it a chance. I wore it with tall boots, thick tights and threw on a turtleneck and a scarf...voila! I got so many compliments on the ... - very stylish and slimming. The fit is perfect on me and the length, I must say, is quite flattering even for a thirtysomething like me.
Like it!
Liked the ... very well. Ordered tall so it would be long enough. I am short, and I do not wear really short skirts. Perfect over running leggings. Fit was true to size. Also would be good over leggings for hiking.
