Love it!
I bought three different dresses to try hoping that at least one would fit--this is IT! I love it. It's casual enough to simply wear around in summer, but it is so simple and the neckline so interesting, you could glam it up a bit and wear it out for dinner too. Fit is great. Nice drape, not too clingy--very flattering. I am 5'4" and about 125 lbs and ordered the small in asphalt and could not be happier. Love the built in bra--quite substantial. Wish I had acted quickly enough to get this in another color...maybe next year. Thanks Athleta.
OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE this ...
I was so surprised when I recieved this ... finally a ... built in support that actually works. I have never been able to wear those shelf bra dresses. My breasts are just too large (36 DDD), this ... had a fantastic support system and looks amazing. It skims my body and I felt sooo sexy. It really accentuates my shoulders (thank you TRX). I can't wait to wear this on my trip to Belize. I fully intend to purchase another at some point. I purchased a Large. I weigh 180 and am 5' 7.5".
This wasbasically what I expected afer reading the other reviews. I thought the swimsuit material would be weird, but it works. I think it even helps with covering up some midsection flaws. It also definitely works as a ... not just beach or swimwear. I'm about 5' 5", 125 lbs, and the Small fit perfect. I usually wear a size 6 in dresses. The cups are just right for my size c chest, so if you're smaller than a c cup you might have trouble filling them in. However, they are padded, so it may not matter.

My husband was wowed by this ... fits well and doesn't look as casual as some of the other 'swim' dresses. I like the plum color too.
Excited to wear
I am really glad that I ordered this ... tried it on and it looks and feels great! It is super cute, the fabric is soft, flows well, and hangs great. It is thick enough that it does not show flaws, but still moves. I struggle with my tummy a little now and it hides that great! I will wear this to my son's baseball tournaments with flip flops, to dinner with cute heels, and to the beach parties in Jamaica when my husband and I go in November. The gathering at the neckline is pretty. These Athleta dresses are kinda pricey, but you certainly get quality. I will feel and look great in this ... that's worth the money to me! Yeah!!! Oh and by the way I'm 5'5'', weigh 135, usually wear a 6 and bought a medium. Very happy

I plan on bringing this ... cruise (along with 2 other Athleta dresses). The wireless support is genius. I really like the fit and it is flattering.
Nice ... but fits funny across the chest
I ordered this ... two colors and love the fabric and the style. It fit me everywhere, but seemed to pucker across the chest, and no matter what I did to smooth out the ... pull it down, both dresses fit me that way. The cup size was perfect, I just think the fabric across the chest was a little too tight to drape across the bra. I will be returning both of these dresses, unfortunately.
Cute comfortable ... but the length wasn''t flattering on me
I liked this ... except for the length, its too long and all the extra fabric makes it look like a sack. I'm 5'5" and I'd say this ... knee length or just above the knee. Also I want to mention that most of my dresses from Athleta are size M but in this style I took the recommendations posted (that if you are between sizes, you should size up) and bought the large. The large fit up top pretty well, but there isn't a tremendous amount of support for a C or D cup. I don't think halters are the best styles for bigger cup sizes because it puts too much strain on the straps that go around the neck. Still, I would have kept the ... if I didn't have to hem it. I try to stick to my rule that if I need to alter clothes just so I can wear them, I usually send them back. After paying full price for this ... didn't want to spend more to have it hemmed.
Disappointed
I really wanted to love this ... am 5'2", a 34B and about 115 lbs and usually wear a 4-6 and a small in Athleta dresses. This ... really long, it hit me about 2 inches below the knee and just kind of hung off me like a sack. The positives are that I love the fabric (I have several others from Atheta in this fabric) and the built in support is great for someone my size. If it came in petite, I would just reorder in an xs, but unfortunately it will be going back.
Too bad....Returning
After reading other reviews, I had high hopes for this ... idea of the ... great. Loved the back detailing with the tie. The material is similar to thin swim suit material. I was expecting the ... more substantial fabric like the Organic Cotton Senorita ... (which I love and wear a lot!). This material may work on some, but it is not forgiving if you have any bumps or imperfections in your midsection[...] It was also cut in a bit more on the sides (either side of the chest) more than I expected it to be. I feel that my dresses from Patagonia (which are a similar lycra material) are better quality--.thicker and wrinkle resistant and better for packing/travel.
