stretch pants - reviews

new favorite ...
I love these ... I've never had a pair of ... fit right out of the bag before. I am 5'10",145 with hips and a rear, and the 8 Tall fit perfectly. After reading reviews about other stats, I went with the 8 and I'm glad I did. The sandcastle color is a bit sheer, but that is okay as long as you plan underwear accordingly. I got the olive color as well and they feel great all day/night at work without stretching out or riding up. Can you make these ... khaki material?

Best ... ever!
I am 5'2" 120 lbs athletic build. Always have trouble finding ... not too big in the waist. These ... have a drawstring in addition to two snaps which makes them the perfect fit. I ordered a 4P and they fit like a glove. I'm usually a 2P or 4P in Athleta wear. I wore them on a long trip overseas and they were very comfortable on the plane. I wore them for two more days on our exploration and had no problems at all with stretching out/etc. They wash and dry nicely and do not need ironing. I LOVE these ... ordered the olive color and it seems to go with every top I have. The only drawback is the snapping loop on the back of the ... which has no function. It comes unsnapped when I slide into my car seat and I have to remember to snap it when I get out! They need to remove this and the ... perfect. Think I will try the skirt next!

Loved these pants but just needed a smaller size.
I am 5ft. and usually wear a 4P in pants. However, with the stretch in these pants I can get a way with wearing a 2P. I exchanged them right away to get the great sale price. The deep purple is a great color for spring, summer, and fall. I wasn't sure about which pair I should order, low rise or regular. I ended up ordering regular based on other people's reviews. They were great! They fit like low rise pants which is perfect for me and my height. I loved these pants so much that I ordered them in the light grey Mercury as well. These make great hiking pants since they stretch, are tear resistant, and have block UVA/UVB rays. Plus I wear them when traveling because I can store money in the zipped leg pocket and you can roll them up for to be wrinkle free. Bonus! Do yourself a favor...if you active, get a couple pair.

Nice ... sport or everyday
I am 5'5", 105 lbs and was having trouble finding golf ... usual golf retailers that aren't too big. I finally realized that most of the shorts I use for golf are Athleta, so I thought I'd give some Athleta ... try. I ordered these and the Starling ... size 0 and they are both perfect! The Dipper ... fabric has a bit of stretch, the styling is nice, and there are lots of pockets. I'm sure they will also be great for travel - no wrinkle and lightweight.

Great Weekend ...
Love these ... They are comfortable for travel and resist wrinkles. The stretch of the fabric is comfortable and looks great with anything. They are true to size I am 5'2 and weigh 116 lbs and the size 4 fit perfectly. I bought two colors and am planning to buy a couple more . You can't go wrong with these ... they're great!

Really love these ...
I own 7 or 8 pairs of these ... have them in several colors. They have changed in construction and design over the past few years, but the most recent dipper ... got are the best! I am 5'10" and wear a 10-12T. but the most recent dipper ... got are the best! Even when they shrink, or if I wear one of the 10's, the material stretches a little. I have gotten several compliments on them over the years, and my sister in-law got a pair because she really like how mine looked when we were hiking together one day. They are very resistant to stains. I have spilled red wine and blood on them (I work in the veterinary field and wear them to work) and it comes out instantly. They are a perfect spring and summer hiking ... have worn these ... travel in several times and they are very comfortable, and the zipper pocket on the ankle is very handy for keeping my ID and ticket in, or some chapstick. I definitely recommend these ...

i bought these ... addition to my usual jeans. i am active and spend half each day in yoga ... teaching yoga and i wanted a comfortable alternative to jeans. these fit the bill. my only complaint is that they run a bit big. i usually wear a small petite, but these seem to be stretching a bit or i am loosing weight, which is possible. i purchases them in the maroon/wine color and it is really pretty. i am 5'2" and weight 109. maybe an xs would have been better but i feel that might have been too snug on my hips. they will be great for hiking in the woods. i would recommend these ...

Growing on me
I have to admit that each time I put these pants on they grow on me even more. I read in another review to wash and dry them because they do shrink a little. I was glad that they did. I like my ... little bigger on me so I ordered the six, if you like the tighter, order your true size. Drawstring is great for tightening them up (no gap in the back when sitting) with still having the hips and thighs loose. They are a little too long. I am 5'5" and like to wear my ... my hips. These ... hit the ground. The style is great for my size. I have a small waist (26"), hips are 36" and I have larger thighs 21". I like ... don't cling to my thighs. The stretch in the ... great too. Makes them extremely comfortable to be in.

Too big
I own two pairs of the Dipper ... corduroy and ... my favorite winter ... always thought ... were a little big (I am a size 8 in ... almost always, rarely a 6), so when I ordered ... thought I would try a 6. ... confirmed that I would fit best into a 6 (in the corduroy ones) BUT, after wearing ... day, ... had stretched out just enough to make them too big! I was hoping to use ... multiday backpacking trips, but I can see that by the end of a trip, ... would be way too big. Another "con" I found was that if I had any leg hair stubble at all, the stubble grabbed at the ... fabric (like a grating sensation on the legs)--I found this to be really irritating! Overall, though, ... nice style (nice to have "tech" fabric ... long enough and don't make me look like a man)..if only ... fit better.

Disappointed this time around
Since I have liked my two pairs of corduroy dipper ... decided to try a pair in the Utility Stretch. I have always been a size 10 in Athleta ... but these ... were a little too small in the waist and hips. The rise seemed lower, too, and the back seam cut up into my rear end - not attractive, and uncomfortable. They were a little too long to wear with flat shoes and for some reason looked much more bell bottom-like than my corduory dippers - not a good look. I also didn't like the swishing sound the fabric made when you walked. I thought the size 12 might be too roomy, so returned them. It does seem as though the sizing has changed a bit, i.e. runs smaller.
