Finally! Great coverage and cute!`
These bottoms are wonderful. As a curvy girl I have a very hard time finding ... bottoms that give me enough rear coverage. These give great coverage, don't ride up (as tested while trying on haven't field tested yet) and are super cute. I like the lower cut because I don't want a matronly swimsuit and the foldover top prevents love handles from being accentuated. I am outrageously happy to have found these.

GREAT FOR BUTT
I would like to think I am fit, but I still have a butt. It is hard to find ... bottoms that cover this butt. These ... bottoms fit great and covered everything perfectly without looking like granny panties. The down side is that the trim, once it gets old, holds water and make the bottoms sag, just because when any ... suit gets old it gets stretched out. But as a brand new suit, it lasts well for about 3 months, and this is coming from someone who is in a pool 3 times a week at least. I wear these at work ... instructor/guard), I wear these for fun. But they suck for doing laps because of the trim. It causes a lot of drag. LOW IMPACT. But GREAT COVERAGE.

Much better than the medium tide style
I excahnged some medium tide bottoms for this style because the medium tide were too tight around my hips. I am 5'4", 130 pounds, and wear a size small at Athleta. Unlike the medium tide, these were just perfect! The lower cut was great and the waist was not binding at all. I just wore these to ... laps at the local pool, and they worked great. They stayed put and were comfortable.

Perfect!
I ordered these after returning the shirred medium tide ones and they are great. I was nervous about the rear coverage and these are better than the shirred ones. Have the twistini tankini in tall and it hits the top of these bottoms perfectly. I'm 5'4" with a long torso and ordered a small (wear size 2 pants). I haven't given these the ... test yet, but I think the fold over adds to the cuteness... just hope it doesn't require constant fixing during ... beach activities.

Nice fitting ...
... bottoms have not been flattering on me since I was in my 20's. These ones were as close as I have been in years. I would even shed my short cover ups with these. I don't mind the extra fabric around the top. However, it does make it odd when wearing a pair of shorts or skirt cover up.

good coverage ... bottoms. Definitely not teeny bikini bottoms. These actually cover your butt! I ordered the medium and it fits well. I'm 5'10" 145lb.

nice fitting ... went up a size
Great fit when I went up a size. I wear a size 4 in clothing and 27 to 28 in jeans however I found the small to be a little too small for me in the rear so I bought the medium which fits nicely. Of all the ... suit ... tried from Athleta I liked the fit of this one the best.

great style, runs small
Flattering if you size up. I wear an 8 generally, but usually order a 10 in ... because tight is not flattering! The foldover style is one of my favorites, but the medium was too tight -- the large fits fine, and the coverage is just right, even though I usually prefer a mid rise.

Great bottoms for mix & match
Bought these as a contrasting color to the hot pink Shirrendipity Halter ... tankini top. They also go perfectly with a printed tankini I bought from Athleta last year as an alternative to the ... shorts that came with it. Shirred front detail feels like it might be a litle loose...will see how it does in the water.

Great ... bottoms
These ... bottoms fit great. I ordered a medium for my 5'9" 150 lb. frame. These may be the best fitting ... bottoms I have ever owned. I plan to order more.

Love my new ... suit!
I'm really happy with my first purchase from Athleta! I bought the size small and am 5'8", 135 lbs, and it fits beautifully and very comfortably. Bought these bottoms in the Lifeguard Red color, which is very vibrant and pretty. The waist band detail is nice too, though I wish it was sewn across the entire front side of the ... not attached on just 2 sides. But despite that, I would purchase this in other colors as this is the best fitting ... suit ... have ever had. I would also like to say that the matching Racerback bikini top that I bought is the absolute BEST ... top I have ever had! It is so comfortable! It does not pull at the neck like other tops do. I am extremely pleased with my Athleta purchase and will be back again.

Love these bottoms. This is my second set in a different color. Bought to do laps in the pool (tri prep) and to ... Looks cute and is functional too. Bottoms run smaller so I purchased a M even though I am a 4-6 in jeans.

Safe for diving
Good coverage. Extra band of fabric in front helps to conceal my extra tummy flab. I would not recommend for perfomance ... because of the drag of the extra fabric. I ordered the medium. I'm 5'7" 135lbs and the medium fit perfectly. I've had other bottoms that fit fine dry, but get baggy when wet. This ... does not do that. And, I can safely dive in the water without losing my ... bottoms

Great ...
This ... works great for my post baby body. I am a size 4/6 and went with the medium ... doesn't always "stay put" on the cheeks like I would like it to, but the small felt just a tad too constricting. The shirring helps conceal the little tummy I currently have, thanks to my 6-month old :)

Didn't love these bottoms - for some reason, the ... bottoms cut me at the exact wrong place on my hips & stomach - I am in pretty good shape and by no means overweight, but this suit did NOTHING for me...I think I need a lower cut in order to give the illusion of some curve. Although well constructed overall, these are going back.

I feel that the all of the swimsuit bottoms that I have recently ordered have less coverage of the seat and move more than ... bottoms that I have ordered in the past.

not for big booty
Cute ... but it doesn't cover my butt. I'm 5'5 130lbs and ordered medium. Tried other Athleta ... bottoms in a size large but the surface area coverage doesn't get any bigger, it only increases the waist circumference giving a baggy look that still doesn't cover my butt. Double layer fabric probably OK for most swimmers but I ... daily and like to do triathlons in the summer. Otherwise I'm chasing my 3 year old around the pool. In any case IDW my butt hanging out. Returned.

Good, not great
I'm ~5'10, around 140 lbs, very little butt and size 36A on top. Got the ... medium and the racerback top in small (ended up exchanging the top for a med). The bottoms fit well, but as a former swimmer (thru college), I wouldn't say they were tight enough for "performance ... other words, I wouldn't wear them to train. Also, the shirred part across the waist is not what I expected. It is attached on either side of the waist, but not at all through the middle. It would create drag if you were trying to ... them. But this suit is great for hanging out at the pool and on the beach with my boys, who keep me busy w/ football throwing, paddle ball, volleyball, etc.

The ... suit bottoms are OK. I really like the coverage of my butt. The only problem I have it that I first I bought the small size and it was really too small. So I then purchased the medium. The medium fits my butt well but is a little loose around my stomach. I have yet to ... them yet but will be using my new bathing suit this weekend. I am hoping that they stay on!

I bought these ... bottoms to go with other bathing suit tops I already own. It's a nice fit, flattering and not too "mommy looking."

Love these!!!
I have had a problem with finding the right ... bottoms that don't give me muffin top. I am 5'7", 140 lbs wear 6-8 in pants. I got these in a medium and they fit perfect. I usually have to go to a size large in bottoms so I dont get a muffin top but then they sag big time in the rear. Some reviews mention the green interior. I could see it being a problem on a top but for the ... hasn't been an issue so far. I have two pairs of these that I paired with the ready to run tankini and truckee tri tankini.

Big Behind? Need full coverage? These are it!!!!
These have the best coverage of any ... bottoms. I have tried virtually all types and these were it! There is no tugging. They stay put. These do not cut into your thigh or stomach. I have a larger behind, saddlebags and am very self conscious, but I felt extremely comfortable in these. I got the Asphalt with the Asphalt Flirt Skirt for even more coverage. The Rio Cast Away Tankini top in Asphalt completed the look. I normally wear an 8-10, in swimwear , 138 lbs. but went with a large for better coverage.

... bottoms that don''t ride
I have such trouble finding ... bottoms that don't creep. I am active, runner, etc but still have a booty. Finding bottoms that a) cover and b) stay in their designated area is a pain in the... well you can guess. These bottoms just went to FL for 10 days and performed in the pool, on the beach and in the waves. AWESOME For reference: I'm 5'8" and 150lbs give or take 5 on any given day.

Love this swim suit!
Absolutely love this ... suit!! Bought the solid shirred full tide ... Medium (I'm 5'6", 120 lbs, size 4) and it fits perfectly. Coverage is great for me - not too low in front and not too high - just right. Also bought the Solid Bra Cup Twistini Bikini Top 34B/32C to go with it and it also fits perfectly - very true to size. The Kauai Blue color is lovely and have also ordered the same ... suit in black...the bottoms have arrived, but top is on back order until June! This is the perfect suit for casual swimming and playing with my two young kids at the pool.

Finally!! A ... fits in all the right places! I'm a 52, tall and thin and you wouldn't think finding a ... would be difficult. This one is so cute (no granny panty!) and holds eveything in its place. Love it!

Nice, simple, and perfect
These bottoms are perfect. They provide good coverage both in the front and the rear, and do not give you a muffin top look like some other bottoms. I am 5' 2", 130 lbs, mid 40s with kids. I am fairly active, yet still have a bit of a poochy belly (which I am self conscious of, especially in a ... suit). I ordered both a small and a medium and the medium felt the most comfortable. I haven't had a chance to do any swimming in them yet, but so far am happy with how they look on me.

Nice bottoms too small for my belly.
Initially, I tried the shirred full bikini bottoms (S), which were too tight around the waistband and showed my slight belly roll, even though I am fit, but had two children many yrs ago. Age 55, 5'4", 120 lbs. I ended up exchanging for (M) in this style which were good fit at waistband, but too loose in the leg openings. I ended up returning them and keeping the Tide Pool ... Skirt in size (M). All of them sit lower at waist than I personally like, but the tankini covers up my waist and belly.

struck out
I felt that the waist of these bottoms were tight in comparison to the rear/seat. It was baggy on my seat, but I am afraid to size down because then the waist band will be too tight, which is not flattering in a ... suit. Granted, I am a bit of an apple shape, and I am kind of narrow in hips, so that could have something to do with it. Anyway, I struck out with my ... suits from athleta!

Holy muffin top, Batman!
I am just about to give up on Athleta ... bottoms. After losing a few pounds, anything in a large starts to fall off the minute it hits the water, but this medium was so tight as to create a horrible muffin top all around. Plus, the rise was a lot higher than in looked in the picture, and a lot higher than previous full tide bottoms I'd bought. I wish Gap Brands could use consistent sizing. I'm a 4-6 in BR, and not even a medium at Athleta? I'm a fairly muscular (though curvy) 5'3" 129, and this was a disaster. It goes back today.

FANTASTIC ... Skirt - Perfect Coverage!
Love this ... skirt! Lightweight, stretchy but not too clingy. Perfect length to cover problem areas yet short & cute to not look old ladyish. I'm a toddler mom and need a lil more coverage to feel confident chasing him down the beach, and I surely do in this. I got it in OTTER and I love it, but color shown is quite different than actual - its more like a CHOCOLATE BROWN, not grayish at all as appears. I debated on sizes, so I ordered a SMALL & MEDIUM. I normally wear medium size ... bottoms (curvy 128 lbs, size 6 or 8) and sure enough - the MEDIUM was the winner! LOVE IT, highly recommend!!

Great ... skirt!
This ... skirt covers just enough but doesn't show the world high thigh. I love that. The ... skirt fits like a dream and doesn't ride up. I'm 135 lbs., 5'9". I usually wear between an 8-10 and the fit of the ... skirt is perfect. I purchased the Dragonfly tank and Lani Kai Wrap Tank in red and the ... skirt in red works with both. I love all the pieces I purchased from Athleta and am very, very happy with the material, workmanship -- the items are great. Thank you!

Great swimsuit ...
I was looking for a ... suit ... could wear with several different ... tops I had. I am 5'4", 146 and am getting in shape, but still don't like my thighs - I am far more comfortable walking around in this than a traditional ... suit ... skirt works great!

Loved this ... skirt
This is the perfect ... - i am actually going to order in more colors. This fit me just right - i ordered an XS - i am 5' & about 102 - the size i ordered fit me just perfect. I felt so comfortable walking around our pool on vacation - i even ran on the beach in it & it was perfect! It is very flattering too - i love the length - not too short & not too long. The other ... bottoms i've tried on at target, etc. flair out too much - the cut on this skirt was exactly what i was looking for. this was worth the money to say the least!!! LOVE IT

Flattering skirt
This skirt has a flattering cut that hides small figure flaws! I really like the flat waistband--I also own a Splash ... Skirt which has a rollover waistband. The flat waistband makes this skirt more figure flattering than the Splash ... Skirt. I am 125lbs, 5'5" and a Medium fit me nicely.

perfect fit
I originally purchased the pura vida splash ... skirt #906263 in small, but returned it and got the sporty shirred ... skirt in small. I like the sporty shirred ... skirt much better. The pura vida splash ... skirt had too much material with the foldover waistband. The sporty shirred ... skirt in size small fits like a glove and the material is not too thick so will not be too heavy when wet. This is the best fitting/nicest material I have ever found in a ... skirt.

Takes off about 10 lbs!
I love this ... skirt!!!!! I recently underwent 4 months of chemotherapy for breast cancer and gained 10 lbs and my body has changed quite a bit in a short amount of time (I ran my first half marathon a couple of months before diagnosis). I was getting very bummed when trying on ... suits trying to find something flattering, yet attractive. This is it! I ordered a similar suit from Lands' End and it was just not flattering- this is!!! I am so happy to find something that I can be comfortable in chasing my son around the beach/pool this summer. Just for reference I am 5'3' and 148 lbs. I am a bit chub chub in the tummy and in butt & thighs and this hides it all!!! I haven't been this excited about a ... suit since I was 30 lbs smaller!

Love this skirt!
This is such a cute ... skirt! The fit is flattering and coverage is great. I am exchanging the petunia pop color for the asphalt color to go with the Haiku bikini top in limoncello. I am in my upper 30s, 5"3, 127 lbs and I feel comfortable chasing my boys around in this and still feel cute and sexy too! I usually wear a medium in ... bottoms from Athleta and this medium fit great.

Just right
I needed a ... skirt that wasn't too flimsy and this is perfect. I am usually an Athleta size 6 in pants. I got the medium since I don't like my ... bottoms tight. It fits really nicely with no digging in at the waistband. There is a "wrap" styling feature with the flap at the left side. I love the sangria color. I would buy another since it goes with several tops, but they are now out of my size. I hope this ... skirt is carried again next year in more colors.

Great Fit and great for my ego
Love this ... skirt! I am a classic pear shape (size 4 on top and size 6 on the ... So, I usually have to buy separates in swimwear so I can get different sizes AND whenever I buy ... bottoms and other pants that are sized S, M L, that need to fit the "hip" area, I always buy a Medium just to be sure they will fit nicely (not too tight). Well, after reading many reviews on this skirt, I VERY hesitantly ordered a Size Small hoping that I wouldn't have to return it for a Medium (and being concerned that a Medium wouldn't be right either because of my 23" waist!) I was VERY HAPPY when I tried this swimskirt on and it fit almost perfectly! The only thing is that I can see a little of the panty line ... but I'm sure once I tone up some more, that issue will be resolvedI I also wish Athleta prices were a little more affordable ... I would surely order more items. I will definitely be a return customer, though!

I really like the ... skirt I bought and it did the job I wanted--a little more coverage than regular ... bottoms. I usually wear a large on ... but could have gotten a Medium instead on this. It rides low on the hips (which I like so it doesn't cause 'spill over' look), but it might come off with a dive in the pool. Overall good.

Great shorts!
These are awesome swim shorts that can also be worn out of the water during really humid days. My 15 yr old neice was impressed with them when she saw them on me (I'm age 49) and she's quite astute on fashion. They are lightweight in the water when you swim and they dry quickly when you get out of the water. I would highly recommend these paired with one of the swim tops. I love the fit of Athleta swimwear!

Great shorts!
This style is perfect for my build. I'm 5'6", and usually wear a size 6 in shorts, but I like the fitted look with a size small in these. I have a shorter torso so these are more flattering than the Oceanside Shorts or Vital Swim shorts that come up too high on my waist. I like how these are fitted and secure, but are looser with the folded waist so they don't show any muffin top. The length of the short and the leg opening is just right as it covers up the inner thigh area without being too tight to show any imperfections like the Amrita Boyshorts did on me. I got the Vivid Blue color based off of other reviews that said it was closer to a dark purple which is just what I wanted. Athleta, please keep making these great swim shorts.

Perfect for an athletic build!
I love the fit of these swim shorts! The small was just the right fit for my athletic build an ample butt. I weigh about 120 at 5'7". Athleta swim suits are the only ones I wear during the summer.

Cute swim short
I like the coverage and fit of this swim short. I did order one size down. I'm 5'6, 124 and the XS fit perfect. I like the lower cut and coverage on the back of my legs. Overall, a very flattering swim short for those not comfortable in a bikini ...

Comfortable Swim Shorts
I got these swim shorts to go with my navy blue twisted bikini top. They are true to size, but come up a little lower than some of my other swim shorts, due to the part that folds down. Still a very comfortable, flattering pair of swim shorts.

Great maternity swim shorts
I recently wore these shorts on a vacation to the beach. I was nearly six months pregnant and the swim shorts were perfect. I wanted something to cover my thighs since pregnancy has caused some cellulite in these areas. After reading the reviews about the extra fabric in the middle, I decided to order these shorts and try them out as maternity. They were perfect. Better than the swim shorts that were actually advertised as maternity wear. I am a normally a medium (non maternity) and ordered the medium. Was glad I didn't go larger. Plenty of extra space for my baby bump.

Ready to wear!
I haven't worn these swim shorts yet, waiting for the pools to open! They fit nicely and I and mixing them with some new and old Athleta swim tops. I am 5-6, 130", usually a m, but a s in swimwear.

Low rise
I have mixed feelings about these swim shorts. The fit is good, I ordered a medium and I'm 5'6" 126 pounds and they fit just slightly loose. The low rise makes the shorts look more modern but doesn't provide much belly coverage. The foldover waist doesn't add too much bulk but I feel like it makes me look wider. The length is fine, not too long, but my boyfriend commented something about "old ladyish". I'm not sure if I will keep these swim shorts or exchange for the Oceanside short. Also, I think this style might be cuter in the swim skirt style rather than the shorts style. I may consider exchanging for the skirt instead.

Oceanside Shorts Better
Loved the color... but buy the oceanside swim shorts instead. The fabric around the top is just weird. It felt to big. I have enough to worry about in a swim suit... who wants to worry about the baggy, weird fabric. Athleta please make the Oceanside swim shorts in the colors that are available for this short.

Could''ve been great
The concept of these swim shorts is great, with a built in ... under quick dry shorts. Unlike other reviews, I didn't think the material for the fold over waist was too much at all. I'm usually good for a size 6, but unfortunately the size small (4-6) is a little too snug. I should've realized that a 3" inseam wouldn't cover quite as much as it used to! I didn't exchange for a larger size, worrying that once the material was water logged it would sag. I'll return these for now, but I love the swim short idea and will keep my eyes open for others!

didn't fit like the previous swim shorts I have bought from Athleta. I love the idea of swim shorts as they so easily go from the water to anywhere but these felt frumpy, will be returning them.
