Great Fit!
I am 5'8" and weigh about 140 pounds. I carry more weight in my hips than anywhere else. After reading other reviews I toyed with whether to buy a 6 or an 8 and regular or tall. I went with an 8 tall. They fit perfectly. Not too tight and not baggy. Just a little room in the hips and thighs so they aren't too clingy. The fabric is so comfy! It has some stretch to it and dries very quickly if it gets wet. I may end up buying another color, but I love my purple ones for now. Perfect hiking and traveling capris.

Pants of all lengths cause the same fitting challenges for tall women (I'm 5'11" and 130 pounds), but most companies that offer long pants in tall sizes fail to provide that option for shorts and capris. Since you've expanded your selection, I've ordered several shorts and capris. These Commuter Capris are my favorites, so I had to get a second color. Now, could I talk you into more tall proportioned tops? How about pajamas, which are impossible to find? Your Grateful Customer

I wear these everywhere! Nice fit all over for a ... girl - I'm 5' 8", 165 lbs, the large was perfect. Capris for me usually run short in length - not these. Ordered a second pair last week in gray. Oh and for girls with not enough "junk in the trunk" - these capris will flatter you. Love them
Loved It - BUT Beware of Articulated Knee on Tall Size
Out of the package, I loved this. Great styling and fit overall -- fun details such as ikat trim on the internal drawstring. Great length. The captis fit very true to size and were flattering, with one important exception for me -- the articulated knee was 3" above my knee! I don't know if the designers forgot to adjust the length ABOVE the knee or if I am simply too tall for this pant (I am 6' tall but the tall skirts and other items usually work for me). I subtracted a star for this flaw, which may just be personal to me. Very sad, but it needs to go back. :-(
descrepancy in description
So here's the deal: this short is described as 'fitted' in one catalogue and 'semi fitted' in another. No big deal unless you are expecting what it isn't ;-) which is semi fitted. These are fitted capris, like leggings,. Very nice color, well made etc. but not right if you are a wearer of semi- fitted Athleta bottoms which I am. I am ... thin (5'11", 138Lbs) not much butt BUT these pants are really slim and more so than I care for. If you want capris with the feeling of a legging, these are the bottoms for you.
Debating
Not sure I'll be keeping thse pants. I'm 5'11" and ordered an 8 in tall and regular. Like the length of the tall but the waist/rise fit slightly differently than the regular 8. I'm not sure I like the drawstring waistband as there doesn't seem to be a real waist band in these pants. For the price, I"m not sure I'll keep these or not. Will be trying them on one more time before I decide.
Rise too Short
Sadly, I had to send these back because the rise was too short for my tall frame (5'11" and 130 lbs). An 8 tall is usually a good fit, but these were not long enough from the top of the legs to the waist, so the waist pulled down and then was too tight around my hips. Athleta sizes are unfortunately undependable, which is too bad because I loved the style and color of these. I also didn't see as many tall options in the capris and shorts this spring, so that limits my purchasing ability. Please consider more choices for your tall customers.
