The fabric quality seemed fantastic until I noticed the inner thighs are pilling after just one ... concerned that ... out quickly, just ... many cheaper ... I've had. ... surprisingly warm and very comfy. I'm 5'7" and a ... 10-12 and the Large fits tts, although ... very long on me, ... bet they'd be ... ladies.

Best Ski Pants EVER!
I'm 6' ... 155lbs, usually wear a 10T in Athleta and these fit perfectly. I have never had ski pants that were LONG! The low rise fit is awesome too - it's the most comfortable for me, with such a long waist/torso. I actually love the denim look, as jeans are my favorite type of pants. My husband even said I could wear these out to dinner or a club! Ha...probably not, but at least I could do errands on way home from the mountain and not feel weird being in traditional ski pants. I LOVE them so much - and they really flatter my rear end - unlike most bulky ski pants. Let it snow!

Warm and Fashionable
I bought my 2nd pair this year - just to have an extra pair handy. The price is high, however, the quality reflects the price. I have spent hours outside in the snow - making snow angels, skiing, watching my daughter during her ski lessons and more. The middle of snow blizzards in the depth of thigh deep snow with gusting winds of snow blowing at me - I stayed warm and dry. I was able to play with my children without wanting desperately to go back inside due to feeling uncomfortable. I am 5 ' 8 1/2" ... wear a regular size 8 pants. I always need to take in the waist - that's just my body type. I prefer to have more room in the legs and bottom area as I don't like to feel like a sausage stuffed in casing. However, the pants are not so roomy that they would chafe my legs, by any means. They have a soft, fleece like lining that feels so wonderfully comfortable...even with my sensitive, winter skin. I receive compliments and questions as to where I found my snow pants. I truly like the pockets too. Everything is thought through by the creators of this snow ... Please don't change them!! Please don't ever discontinue them either! The jean look rocks! Many thanks, Athleta! I finally found a snow ... look forward to wearing!

Powder Jean is perfect for tall skiers
I am 6' tall and about 180lbs post baby. I ordered a 12 Tall in the Powder Jean and they fit me perfectly... I'd say that they are mid rise (almost to belly button) and bootcut. They fit in the waist perfectly now and have velcro cinch tabs inside the waistband so that when I lose the rest of my baby weight hopefully they'll still fit. 35" inseam.... AWESOME and impossible to find. No snow is going to get down my backside with a snap and double tab closure. Fleeced liner so no base layer for spring skiing will still be comfortable. Venting, dark denim finish, all the length I need, the perfect ski ...

Couldn''t be more fun ...
Just got these in the mail today. Such great ski pants. I'm 5' 9", 135 and wear either a 4 or a 6. I ordered the 6 ... fit long underwear and they are perfect. Not too baggy with nothing under them, but would fit even a thin fleece layer. Will go with virtually any jacket. Well done, Athleta.

loose fit, but so cute
I had read the other reviews and so I ordered 2 sizes, my usual 6 and a 4 ... am 5'7, 135 lbs with long legs and my usual inseam is 33 or 34. The 6 was way too big and a little short. The 4 long was still a little loose in the hips, thighs, and a bit long, but I really liked the style and features of this jean so I kept them. There will be plenty of room for a first layer with these and they are truly waterproof, but I wish athleta made a 33 or 34 inseam, because 32 is just too short and 35 is a bit too long for me.

The first pair i ordered in a size 6- my usual size were way to big. I exchanged them for a size 4 which have not arrived yet. Athleta coustomer service was great and when they do arrive I hope they will work. I am 5'7" ... athletic build. These pants could look really good on someone with muscular shorter legs as they are plenty roomy! The fabric is thick and serious for a good ski ... Nice pockets too. Hope the 4s work for me.

Unique and Functional
I've been drawn to these pants since last season - really liked the look and the functionality but they are pricey!!! I'm a pretty hardcore ski gear gal so these were a bit of a stretch for me....but I finally took the plunge with the 25% off promo and SOOOO glad i did! I am 5'8" with a 33" inseam and an athletic 150 lbs or so....so I ordered the 10 ... which turned out to be TOO long - so they are going back for the 10 regular. These look to be well made and they are indeed comfortable - not too low of a rise which was important to me as I'm not willing to sacrifice backdraft for style! Hoping these perform as well as I anticipate.

Love the pants, less impressed with quality and customer service
I've snowboarded for 13 years with pants that are too short (34" inseam without boots on), so I was thrilled when I saw Athleta had tall snow pants. On the expensive side, so I held off for a few years, but finally gave in when they were 20% off. They run a little big, but the smallest in Talls is 4, so if you're a beanpole like me, get a belt! The pants were great for the two days I got to use them. They were warm when needed, and the vents were perfect. Stayed dry as well and looked cute to boot. Hubby commented that my fly was open. When I looked down, sure enough you could see my long underwear! But the zipper was closed. The stitching that was supposed to hold the zipper on was completely missing. I thought about fixing it myself, but but was worried about ruining the technical fabric and also thought that for $300, they should be replaced. I called to replace them and was told they were out of 4Ts, but that I could return them for a refund and then reorder when they got more in, probably in the next week or so, and they would honor the discount. Not ideal, but OK. So I sent them back. When I called today to find out the status of the pants, I was told they weren't getting any more in this season, so I am just out of luck. If I had known that before I returned my defective pants, I would have thought harder about fixing them myself. The Burton tall pants aren't as cute, but I'll be buying a pair of those instead.

So Bummed
I ordered these jeans after 2 years of longing for them. Got them on 20% off Black Friday Sale. First ordered an 8 regular, since I go between 6 anbd 8. They were large, as many have said, so I sent them back to exchange for a 6. Unfortunately, they were out of 6 regulars, so I told them to send the 6 Tall, as I have ordered tall in Athleta pants, and it has been fine. I am fairly long legged. But when I got them, the waist was fine, but the inseam on the right leg came up so high it was not only uncomfortable, but was literally digging into the for lack of a nicer word..crotch area. I have read that on some of the other posts. I called hoping there may have been a return of a 6 regular, but there weren't any, and the price is too high to not have exactly what I need, so unfortunately, they are going back and I won't get my cute snow jeans. I hope the makers read this and address the inseam issues for next season.

Lovely ski jeans (Size 6 ... true to size. Only one serious problem--they are not waterproof. Made 6 runs yesterday at the ski area, and had to go home and warm up. My bottom was wet and cold from sitting on the chairlift--the ski jeans had soaked through. Need to correct this situation before they can be used for winter sports such as skiiing

too bad about the pants
My whole experience with these pants was disappointing. This is unusual for Athleta They are a great company with good products. the pants took 2 weeks to arrive. The first pair of size 6 were HUGE. I am 5'7" with thin athletic build. I returned the 6 for a size 4 which again took 2 weeks to arrive. When they got to me the front snap was missing and there was someones chewed gum stuffed in the front pocket. I did not find out until I tried them on so I can comment that the pants still ran large. I returned the Athleta pants and purchased some by North Face. Thats my sad powder jean story hope others experience is better. Thanks for listening.

Murcery pair felt ... two ... bigger even though the tag says 6 ... Murcery pair also had a couple stickers with arrows on ... pointing to a couple of seams in the ... which made me wonder if I was actually getting a 'factory second' in the Murcury. The seams were sort of puckered near the sticker. I was ... really surprised by how inconsistent the ... were between the two colors. I you end of with a quality pair I think you will ... Blue Spruce fits ... feels ... very comfortable to ... leg pockets ...

The cut is odd, very tight in hip and thigh and a big flare at the leg. ... 10 ... needed a ... 12 in ... true ... nice to ... enough! ... made from a wonderful sturdy, abrasion resistant stretchy fabric and ... tons of convenient pockets and are ... adventure travel that I bought a second pair in another color even though I don't particularly ... shape of the ... especially ... pockets on the legs that allow you to reach things while sitting down. Double check the stitching on any you purchase; quality control is ... good and you may need to reinforce seams yourself if you're planning a trip where sewing repairs during the journey would be inconvenient.

These ... been AWESOME! The fit has been great and I ... hard time finding ... fit right since I am 6 feet ... weight 160 pounds. The extra length is perfect for ... long legs. I'm a dog trainer and spend a lot of time crouching and kneeling. These ... worked ... well with this active job. Even better is that dog fur does not stick once I start moving around. Should ... gotten these in every color!
I really like these ... oh ... comfy with their high tech stretchy fabric. I wore them on a hike for the first time this weekend, and ... performed great. Not too hot, not too cool, and ... didn't stretch out during the workout like some other ... I'm 6' ... order the 'long' length, and they're nice and long.

Really LONG & WIDE
I really wanted to love these ... great through the hips, thighs and I liked the overall design ... VERY long and wide. I ... 6ft ... taller with shoes (obviously) ... would ... wear at least 3 inch heels to wear these ... without hemming. The length is exacerbated by the boot cut. If the ... were more narrow at the bottom, I might ... kept them despite the length ... opening is ... wide it covers ... 11 feet, which means the ... won't stack and I will walk all over them.

Some reviewers say true to ... others say too small and others say too big. I guess it all depends on your body type and weight. I'm 5'10", 165# and the 10 talls were way too small in the regular Dipper. I then ordered a ... 12 ... low rise dipper and ... were too big. The ... length in both ... were perfect though. By the way, I couldnt tell much of a difference in the rise between the low rise dipper and the regular, in case anyone is debating between the two. The Mariposa ... favorite and is the only Athleta ... really true to ... me. ... still recommend these ... just couldnt find a ... fit me.

Good pants...length still a issue
Well....my biggest piece of feedback for athleta.... Get different lengths in ... ordered severa pairs of dipper products overr the last 12 months.... I see how much people love the dipper ... stay at home mom, ... seem like a good option.... I LOVE the dipper shorts and skorts....the ... 8s are perfect with a little wiggle room.... For some reason, the 8s are snuger in the ... which is annoying, because the 10 s are huge in me.... The low rise option seems to help allowing me to wear the 8 s and ... feel great!! Now...the regular length looks goofy and short, ... these talls are soooo tall....I will get them altered and keep them, ... has athleta considered having medium ... am wondering if you had 31, a 33, and then a 35 for the lengths... Also.... The different colors are inconsistent with the lengths...anyway, I ... two pair, on great sale, I am altering them and keeping them...I am 5'8" almost at 5' 9" and 140. I would recommend getting a couple of different ... then sending back the ones that do not fit... Also ... up...

Love the Dipper
I love the dipper pants! Wonderful for active lifestyle and casual Fridays at work. The fabric on these pants is super soft, and like the same pants in other fabrics, they are stretchy and comfortable. I am 5'7" ... have these pants in regular length. After a couple of washes (I never dry in the dryer) they are a little short for me. I also have the long, they work well with a little higher heeled shoe (3 inches). Maybe after some washing they will work better with my favorite shoe height of 2 inches or less. I am a little curvy in the butt and thigh area and typically have a hard time finding ... fit my legs without gapping at the waist. The Dipper ... great because they are cut smaller in the waist than the thigh area and have a drawstring to take up the rest of the slack. All too often a drawstring leads to unsightly bunching, but not with the Dipper.

Custom fit
I am very hard to fit when it comes to ... Once I get them up over my muscular thighs, the waiste is too big. The drawstring in these ... bring the waist band in for the perfect fit. Love the light cord material, so soft and the color is great too. Very comfy and is nice enough to wear to work! I ordered the ... because I'd rather have them too long then too short.

Love these pants!
Difficult to fit, 5'8", 140 lbs, short waisted, long legs, these fit me perfectly! I order ... do have to have them hemmed, regular is too short, ... too long, whaddarya gonna do? I have a horrid time with pants, so when I find some that fit, I go nuts, I have 7 pairs of cord and summer weight dipper pants accummulated over the last 3 yrs. Only gripe is the tab at the back of the waist, it digs in and I ended up cutting it off a couple of pairs, but then regretted it because you lose the belt loop - it's really annoying, lose the metal part, and it'd be great. Also like the inside drawstring, which allows for those pesky gains and losses we all experience....I cut those off a couple of pairs and later regretted it. All and all a great ... get lots of complements on them. Leg pockets make them handy for traveling too, a good place for passport and tickets!

Wanted it, got it, love it!
I love the fit of my regular dipper ... size is perfect for my 5'11" height and the style is so casual, yet great for every day/night activities. When I saw the corduroy dipper ... knew I had to have them. And I was not disappointed. LOVE them!

wear to work
These ... perfect to wear to work, high school teacher. And I love them for weekends! Wish I didn't buy the ... just took regular. I am 5'9" and usually ... run small, but not from your company. I will stick with regular lengths from now on.

The color of the pants and the fit are great. One thing to note that I got the 8 ... these, which is more than an inch longer than the 8 ... regular dipper pants.

big size difference
I have a size 4 ... dipper, love them but too big. Of course they don't make a 2 ... so I ordered the 2 regular planning on letting out the hem. They are tiny and super short. For some reason all Gap and Athleta clothes in ... sizes are larger overall, not just in length. ... people are skinny too - please make a 2 ...

Almost Perfect!
I am 5'10" and usually wear a size 10, so I ordered a 10 ... all over fit is great. Rise, waist, hips all perfect. The only problem was the length was better suited for someone well over 6 feet ... Easy enough to have them hemmed though, and I think these will be a favorite ...

Fabulous ...
These ... very comfortable thanks to a touch of spandex. I am a size 10 ... really appreciate that Athleta ... fit me reliably every time. These ... have great style with the diagonal seaming on the legs. And it's wonderful to have them long enough! Just love them for around town and travel.

Buttons are Better
I like the durability of the cords and the cut of the ... I'm wishing I purchased ... instead of "regular" though because when I sit down, they are a little shorter than I like (I'm 5'11"). My primary issue is instead of a top button, these ... have a snap. So, sometimes when you bend over, the snap comes undone. Most of the time it stays closed, but sometimes it doesn't. I've never understood subsittuting a button for a snap on a pair of ... Other than that, I think they are going to hold up nicely.

In love with this capri!
The fabric is so lightweight but stretchy so it moves with you. I got these with the intention of being a multi purpose ... they do not dissapoint. I loved them so much I got 2 colors - the khaki and olive - but I will likely get the black as well. I can wear them to teach fitness classes, then be out and about without looking like I'm wearing my workout clothes. They're also perfect for wearing as a "regular" casual ... they will probably be in my backpack for our Grand Canyon hike this summer since they are lightweight and dry quickly.

These pants are so light, you don't feel like you are wearing anything at all. They are perfect for travelling (pack light) and touring in summer -because they're a step up from workout bottoms. I know they'll be my favorite everyday pants too....

nice lightweight capri, sizing a bit inconsistent
I've bought 2 pairs of these capris to replace years old, similar capris that happily no longer fit due to weight loss. These capris are very lightweight so are perfect whenever you want some coverage but also want to keep cool. I haven't gotten them wet yet but if they are anything like the old ones in the same fabric, they will dry instantly. I'm 5'10" and chose the regular length rather than the tall because I find that the tall "mid" rise is too high. The 2 colors I got fit slightly differently. Also, I marked "true to size" but they are definitely "true" to a contemporary vanity size - at 145 lbs I am in a size 6, which is crazy.

Great Capri Pants!
I love these capri pants. I bought them in a tall size since they were an inch longer than the regular. I have every color that was available. They wash nicely and there is no need for any ironing. Can be put on right from the dryer. The draw string at the waist allows for pulling it tighter or loosening if needed. Have had many compliments on the indigo color which is close to a jean color. Would recommend.

Cute and Comfy
LOVE THESE CAPRIS! Not just Cute- They are COMFY! I teach Pilates, and run from teaching to my kids school and am always having to change out of my workout clothes. These capri's I can wear all day and throw on a cute top and run to the kids school and back . I am 5'4" and about 125lbs, the size 4 fits really well. The waist is a bit big, but that just makes them sit a little lower on my waist (still ok). The size 2 was a bit too snug in the waist and the thighs. I had actually been debating between the 4 or 6. The 4 wins out. These are awesome pants! I am going to get them in different colors before they run out!

Best capri ever!
Really cannot believe how amazing these capris are. They feel light as a feather, like silk against your skin, yet they seem fairly sturdy. They also fit perfectly. I'm curvy through the backside from working out (I'm 5'10, 154 lbs, usually a 6 tall, for reference), but I have a small waist, so I usually have the too big-in the-waist but-too tight in-the rear problem. Well, it's like someone made these pants custom for me, because they fit amazingly. I've actually never tried a more comfortable pair of pants. Ever. I hope Athleta makes these for a long time, and I plan on ordering every color.

Soft as silk
These capri pants feel as if they are made of silk. Based upon prior reviews I ordered one size down from my usual Athleta size 10 and the size 8 fits perfectly. I'm 5'3", 140 lbs with a small waist and solid legs. The length hits me halfway down my shin, a little long for a petite but not bad looking. The best part about this capri for me is the waist which tailors in nicely with no gaping. Usually I'm cinching most Athleta pants in with the drawstring. They sit just below the belly button on my petite frame. The little drawstring around the bottom does stick out, but thanks to the reviewer who suggested to tie it, it looks good with a little knot. Planning to take these hiking in Europe just in case the sun comes out.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! (but runs big)
I absolutely love these pants!! They will definitely be my go to pants this summer. The fabric feels like a drapey peach skin that fits where it should (waist, hips, rear) and falls loosely in the legs. I cannot say enough about them! However, I did originally order the 2, which is what I almost always wear, but had to exchange for the 0. I am 5'6", 112 lbs and the 0 fit perfectly.

These really are cute...
I saw the picture of these online and I said "no way" but then read the reviews and bought a pair. These really live up to their name. I LOVE these pants. They are SO flattering and slimming. I love the way the pants cinch at the knee. Very unique. My cord was broken but I was able to feed it back through and tie it. I will buy another pair!

Great for spinning
I love these knickers for spinning class. Not so much padding that ... awkward to wear for anything else, but enough to smooth the ride. Would I wear these for a century, no. That said, ... perfect for indoor rides or short outdoor excursions. I am 5'9, 37-28-38, 147 lbs and got the small ... Medium regular length just seemed too short. I prefer the slight compression the smaller size provides also. I bought two pairs so I am always prepared. :-)

Loving for spin
I took these for ... first spin and they performed great. I had decided to go with a medium.... I am 5'9 and 156lbs.... Typically a size 10-12. I really prefer ... stay put when spinning, I should probably have ordered ... own fault and they still looked good. The detail in the back looked nice and ... booty was complemented by the shape. Also the way the ... created in the crotch were perfect for spinning and the up and down adjustments! Love!

I never wore spinning ... then I saw that Athleta sold them so I did look up the reviews and 90 % of the women said that ... really liked them so I bought them and I am so glad I did. ... work really well the padding is just enough to make the spinning more comfortable but not bulky I recommend them very highly.

I purchased a pair of these cycling ... teach an early morning Spinning class, which seques into a 30-minute core workout. ... wonderful. The sham/padding is just enough protection, yet not as bulky as ... cycling shorts, which is nice when we transition into the core part of class. I have them in two colors; the black and asphalt/dark charcoal. No complaints. I am 5'6", 140 pounds, and I purchased a Medium.

Great spin ...
The first time I ordered these, they sent them a size too small. This made me realize I've gone down in size in Athleta clothing (due to increased gym training). They do look good tight, they are very thick and supportive, so I would not size up given ... experience. I have the asphalt color and they are shiny, something to note if that bothers you. But I really love the look! I'm 5'9" and am wearing a M ... actually bought a second pair (exactly the same) recently so I could wear them more often.

Very comfy spin/cycling ... They are true to size and the ... fits ... 5'11 frame perfectly. The lower leg does not ride up on me at all. The back panel above the butt also makes your tush look good. Does it look like there's a pad sewn into the crotch? You betcha...but it's a well functioning spin ... keeps you nice and comfy through the class.

The fit of this knicker is great. The are many bells and whistles built in to make sure this style stays put and is comfortable during spin class or on your ride. There is a drawstring at the waist keep the ... slipping down. Gripper material at the calf to keep the knicker from riding up when pedaling. The chamois is not too bulky, which makes for a more comfortable ride. I also, the love the print on the back waistband to add a little fashion to your workout wear!

Great ... but padding is thin
I love the wear and fit of the ... They provide great support and look good. However, as other reviewers have noted, the padding is quite thin. I will still use it for running and triathlons or duathlons, however, I would not recommend it for long bike rides. For reference, I am just under 5 feet ... weigh 90 lbs and I got the XXS in regular, which still fit me well, despite ... petitie frame.

After reading reviews I was unsure of if I should order a medium or large ... if based on the length measurements if I would need the ... not. I went ahead and ordered the Medium, Large, Medium ... Large ... ended up deciding to keep the Medium in the regular length which was plenty long enough to prevent chaffing. Love the side pockets on ... shorts. The waist was slightly higher than I was expecting it to be, ... not uncomfortable at all. I've run in ... four times since I got them and ... had no chaffing, and the legs stay put no scrunching up at all.

I think this short will be great for spin class and yoga. I wanted a bit more length ... ordered the S ... 5'6" 130 lbs athletic and this ... fits a tiny bit big. The leg elastic is comfortable and not too tight. The length is just about an inch above ... knee, which I like for spin class. The fabric is nice and heavy, not "see thru" when bent over.

Have been lookinkg for a skort for a tall gal! I've found it here. I'm an older woman and wanted a longer skort to give more length. The fit is true to size and can hardly wait for warm weather to wear it.

Perfect skort for all occasions
I love that I can wear this skort for both work and play. I wear it when subbing and when traveling. It is great for biking and hiking and can even be dressed up with a nice blouse for dinner. I am 5'8" and the tall is the perfect length for work, and yet still allows me the freedonm ot move whne playing.

Great purchase
My first order with Athleta and it was great. I could not be better satisfied with the Dipper Skirt. I can wear it anywhere . I did order a tall because I'm , let's say older, and I didn't want it too short~~great decision. I have people ask me all the time where I got it! I'm glad to point the way. I just might have to have more in other colors.

great everyday skort
I am 5'11", 137 lbs and the size 8 regular fits well. There is a little roominess in the waist but the string tie helps. My waist is 28 and hips 38. The fabric is durable, I have the dipper shorts. Very cute and the regular height is plenty long enough, the tall felt too long.

Love the look of this skirt--dressier than shorts but just as comfortable and cool. It's early in the season and this has already become my go to skirt that I wear several times a week. I'm 5'6" and purchased a TALL for an inch or two extra in length and I'm glad I did so. I think the regular length may have been too short.

Great fit for hiking
I bought this skort in both the regular and tall lengths, because as a 5'11" girl I usually need a tall length. Clearly this skort is not meant to be short, but rather hit closer to the knees. I'm not a big fan of skorts/shorts that are for being active in coming down that far, so I would definitely keep the regular. Heck I might even order the petite length instead. The waist is a bit large for me (I have a pretty severe hourglass figure so this isn't unusual for Athleta clothing) but the drawstring takes care of that. Love the pockets. I ordered it in the Cornerstone color which is definitely a dark gray, but it has a purple undertone. I think I'll stick with Mercury or Fieldstone. The red is great but it doesn't go with enough of my tops. Only real complaint on this skort is that [$] seems a bit pricey...$45 would be way more reasonable.

Love this skort!
This is only my second order from Athleta. Earlier in the summer I ordered a swimsuit and was very happy with it, so I wanted to try out some of their clothing. It's hard to find golf attire that's not the same old boring stuff. This skort is perfect! It fits true to size.I normally wear a size 10, and that's what I ordered. I am 5'7", so I ordered the tall- and it's sits just above the knee - right where I wanted. I don't like most skorts because they run a little shorter than I like to wear. This fabric is very lightweight and the shorts underneath are actually more like a mesh fabric- perfect for a hot, humid climate. Their things are a bit pricey but so well made, I dont mind. Other reviewers had mentioned a problem with the buckle on the back waistband- it's just decorative and doesnt bother me at all. I can't wait to order another one in a different color!

Darling Dipper Skort
I love this skort. I ordered the new Blue Spruce color. It is very pretty. This season the skort seems to run large compared to older Dipper skorts. I hope the next size down will fit right. I am 5'4" tall and weigh 140 pounds and did wear a size 8.

Almost perfect!
This skort is almost perfect. I ordered the tall based on reviews and am very pleased with the length. This skort was great on my recent travels and is also good for everyday mom activities. The only downside is the attached liner/shorts. They are mesh and ride up on my inner thighs and I always have to pull them back down, which is not attractive to do in public!!! I do love the fabric and the fit of the skirt part, so I am considering cutting out the undershorts.

I'm actually on my way to the Athleta store to return this today. While the design looks great & tailored, it was just too big overall. I'm 6' tall and the tall size looked too long, even on me.

Pleasantly surprised!
I am actually shocked by how much I love this skirt! I ordered it because I couldn't find anything else like it and find myself wanting to wear it more than I expected to! The falcon color is a nice, warm neutral taupe that borders on olive and I feel like it goes with everything. The fabric is uber soft and lays well (not stiff like corduroy usually is), and the skirt is cut and constructed well. It hits at just the right point to minimize my curvy hips and accentuate my smaller waist. The length is perfect for ... boots and I love it with the estonia tights! Such a fun fall fashion! If it helps, I am 5'5" and 115 pounds. I measure 25" waist and 36" hips and the 2 is a perfect fit.

I own 3 of the skorts in this style. I am 5'4", 124 pounds. I ordered the 4 ... because I like my winter skirts to be 23" long. The fit is perfect. The grape jam color is beautiful. Would like to own it in asphalt and black too. I especially like that on the skirts, the top stitching is tonal and not contrast stitching like it is on the skorts.

Love this skirt!
I was very happy when I received this skirt. It looks really attractive and the color is great. I'm 5'5" 118 lbs and I ordered the 6 ... like a bit longer skirts for work, so ... better look for me. Unfortunately, the waist was just a bit too big,(I have a small waist and a bit larger hips) so I've also ordered a 4 ... see if that will fit better. There is a drawstring inside, so it can be adjusted. Either way, I'll be wearing this skirt a lot! If they had more colors left, I'd order them!

so far okay
Ordered an 8 ... rye as I needed this to cover my knees. One thing you can't see in the picture is that it has contrasting stitching in the same color as the waist fabric. It will limit what I wear it with, but it's not worth returning over. In general, can't wait to wear this skirt. I have short legs, and the 8 ... hits just below my knees. I usually wear between a 6 and 8 in most brands for low rise pants and ordered an 8 as I tend to wear a 10 in mid rise pants. The 8 fit perfectly despite some reservations. I'm 5'6" and 165 pounds. Need to lose a bit of weight but it's mostly muscle and bone. It is a bit "tight" around my thighs, but I have athletic thighs and no hips to speak of, so I always expect to either have stuff tight around the thighs or loose on the hips. Hope this will become a staple in my wardrobe.

I like it
This is my first purchase from athleta, and I am pleased with this product. I thought it would consist of slightly thicker material, but I am still happy with it. I am going to put some ... brown winter boots and a ribbed turtle neck top with it. This will probably be the first of many purchases from athleta.

Get the Petite
I am 5'6" and weigh 145 lbs. I am always a size 10 regular or a medium in Athleta clothing. I ordered this skirt in a 10 and it was too big in the waist yet too tight at the hips and a bit too long to look cute. It just looked funny. So I returned it and bought it in size 10 petite ( I am NEVER a petite). The 10 petite fits perfectly! It comes to just above the knee (like in the photo) and fits well in the waist and the hips. The models in this catalogue must be really ... think this style would look best on someone with relatively straight hips; it doesn't fit quite as flattering as the Whatever skort, but it is still cute in its own right and I am keeping it.

Like this skirt
I really do like this skirt. It is a great skirt to wear with boots. I bought the gray and it goes well with many sweaters and tops. I am 5'7' and I went with the 8 ... since I was planning to wear it to work and hoping not to have to wear any tights (much like the picture in the catalog). I probably could have gotten away with a 6, but this is plenty comfy.

Wanted to love but...
I'd seen this skirt on friends and it looked really nice on them. So I ordered a size 4 ... am 5'6" and 128 lbs. It fit fine, middle of the knee, but the cord material was really wrinkled and being thicker material did not lay flat. I ironed it and it still did not hang right. I like the style of the skirt, maybe in another fabric it would look better. Sorry, had to return it.

Surprised at How Versitile
Like another reviewer says -- this one doesn't jump out from among the many skort options. I am 5'9" and the ... large fits great -- hits about 1.5 to 2" above my knee so too long (in my opinion) for golf but perfect to dress up or down depending on the top, etc. It has a hem zip pocket that I really like. Big enough for a credit card or keys and low enough that it doesn't spoil the fit in the hip area. Fabric is great for packing. Perhaps a bit more than I'd like to spend for a black skirt but it's washable and versitile. As a ... women I always expect to pay a bit more for something that really fits - don't want a super short look now that's I'm over 50 but I do want something that fits an active lifestyle.

Not for the extra curvy, but a great skirt
Review for those with large hips/thighs & smaller waist: I am 5'5", weigh 145 and carry all my weight through my hips and thighs. I have a 31.5 in natural waist that is very high, and I'm 34 inches when I measure about an inch below my belly button where I like my waistbands to sit. My hips are 44 in. My thighs are also about 44 when I measure around the widest part. It is almost impossible to find clothes to fit my measurements and I have to pick the size that best fits my hips and hope the waist will work. I ordered an XL ... unfortunately, the waist is too loose for me. The skirt measures 35 at the waist. Because of the weight of the fabric, the waist needs to fit fairly snug to prevent it from sagging. On the Athleta size chart, the waist range for an XL is 33-34 at the natural waist. (This is much higher than where most people wear their waist bands.) If you are a few inches off of those measurements, this waist till not work for you. The skirt itself is great! The quality is good and I love the weight of the fabric. The attached shorts are pretty loose. Not at all like a compression short. The length of the XL ... 21.5 inches, which was a good length for me, too. I want my skirts either right above my knee or right below it. Hope this helps a pear shaped sister out there.

Still sweet!
I bought two of these skorts last year and lived in them! My girlfriend, who was not a skort person, even tried them on and we ended up fighting for them all summer long for everything from golf to summer casual at work (I'm lucky that I don't have to dress up) and look much nicer than workout shorts when I take my dog out for a walk in the morning. I picked up another one in the asphalt color, which I like a lot. I also went with two in the ... length to wear as more of an everyday skirt (I'm 5'1", 120# and the small ... falls just above my knee). I bike into work a lot in the summer and it is often windy where I live so it's great to not worry about flashing everyone. Admittedly, I'm also not as fit as I used to be so I look much better in a skort than I do shorts these days and this skort makes me feel so much more feminine and cute. I absolutely love the Pilayo fabric. It is soft, easy care (wrinkles fall right out) and breathable. It also holds its shape very well. I brought these on several trips and wore them 3-4 times without washing and they looked great everyday! These, along with the Oasis and Any Sport skorts (pocket placement on these will make them better for golf) I picked up this year will make sure I always have a skort on hand all summer long! Like the New Asphalt Color
I bought two of these skorts last year and wore them all summer long. Before they sold out again, I bought an Asphalt (S reg) and Black (S ... because I'll be wearing these all the time once Spring arrives. The gray color last year was "Carbon", which is a lighter gray than this year's "Asphalt". I like that the gray this year is different - it is a much darker gray - nice I'll have a variety. I also ordered a ... wear to work. The regular length is too short for work, and the ... perfect. I am 5' 3", 124 lbs, and ordered Small/Reg for casual ... work.

Love Them
At the age where shorts just aren't flatterning any more, especially from behind. Most skorts still have the short in the back. These don't. Love the feel, flow, drap and fit. Much more flatterning to the figure. I am 6 feet and ordered the ... size first; however, I bought another pair in regular and like that length for hiking better. The ... size will remain my dash into-the store pair. I hope they go on sale as I'd like to have a pair in every color.

I initially ordered it in a size XS and exchanged it for a size S. The XS was ok but a little snugger across the hip then I like. I ended up getting a S in a ... since they did not have the regular and I am glad I did. The ... hits a inch or so above my knee and is comfortable to wear out running errrands or attending my kids sporting events. I would also like the regular length if they had it in my size for exercising. I usually wear a size 2 or 4.

Great Running Skort
I am not big on wearing shorts so I thought I would give a running skort a try so I'd have something a little cooler then capris in the hot San Diego summers. These fit the bill perfectly! I am 5'9 140 lbs and I decided to order both a M ... S ... since the reviews said it ran a little big. Im glad I did. The S ... fits without being too tight or giving me a muffin top. The M ... looked baggy and too full and I had to really tighten up the drawstring a lot. As another reviewer noted, the mesh paneling (at least on ... parachute color) has a dark colored mesh triangle that looks like you might be giving a peep show so I doubt I'll be doing any ab workouts or floor exercises publically that may show that off.

I read other reviews about the length of this ... didn't want it to be too short ... ordered it in a S ... I'm only 63" and normally wear petites. I really like the fit of the S ... though. The waist is still a little big, but it's not as big as a S petite or S regular ... that's a plus. I like the length. It hits about 3" above ... knee. I have muscular legs and I'm not normally comfortable with shorter spandex shorts because of the elastic on the thigh, but the liner for this ... very comfortable. I love the way it looks ... ordered it in the parachute color as well. I thought about ordering an XS in the parachute to compare, but I decided to stay with the S ...

At 5' 8" and 140 lbs, I ordered a ... Medium ... black and think it fits perfectly. Not ... tight that I ... shoehorn myself into it ... not baggy either. I could probably ... gotten by fine with the Regular length ... I'm paranoid about exposing too much rear ... went with the ... am happy with ... choice- it's cute and springy looking yet slightly more modest ... without making me look like an Amish lady out for a run- not that there's anything wrong with being an active Amish woman). Very high quality, comfortable, and a good value even at full price. I would definitely buy this again if ... make it in gray, brown, or dark purple.

Very cute ... dropped it to 4 stars because the shorts material isn't ... favorite, I got the ... could use it for golfing. I am 5'7" and ~130 lbs and the ... fits great and will be long enough for the course.

Cozy, great texture

Fab, warm skirt
I'm 5'8", 132 lbs with 33" inseam. I wanted a longer skirt to be able to wear to meetings. I ordered the 6 ... hits right above ... knee - perfect for what I wanted. I ordered the light lavendar color and love it - nice pale lavendar/grey color.

Cute Versatile Skirt
This skirt fits and looks great. The rise hits in the right place, and the waist is nice and relaxed -- but it still hugs ... butt in the right place (I don't have a great butt, and this helps). I'm 5'11", and a ... size is actually knee length! The velvet makes it dressier, and the jean styling makes it more casual -- very versatile.

Great skirt for fall!
I got this skirt in olive, and I'm really happy with it. It's perfect for wearing with boots in the fall and winter. I'm 5'7" ... nice length on me -- a couple inches above the knee, but not too short. I'm glad I was able to try this skirt on in store because I don't think the photo shows how flattering it is.

Nice Skirt
I bought this not sure I would really like the okra color; took a chance and turns out I really like the color. It goes with much more in ... wardrobe than I thought it would. The skirt fits nice, love the fabric for the cooler months with tights and ... brown boots. A great addition to ... closet for this Fall.

Super cute skirt
I hesitated to order this skirt based on some of the reviews about strange fit - so glad I went ahead and tried it! I am 5'9" and 130 lbs and the 4 ... fits perfectly. I don't think I would need to use the drawstring at the waist. The waist is a bit narrow but it fits perfectly just as is. There are two buttons at the waist so you don't have to use the drawstring if you don't want to. Love the straight fit and that this skirt is long enough! So hard to find cute skirts like this that are the right length. I just wish they made the deep purple color in ... ordered the olive - nice neutral, a bit more brown than green - I like this skirt enough to order a second in another color.

Great every day skirt!
I was looking for a skirt i could wear in the Fall and Winter. The fit is nice. I ordered a ... size 4 and i'm 5"10 and 140 lbs. It's a little lose in the waist but otherwise fits as i would like! Looks great with boots and tights. I am thinking about ordering another color. I currently have the black.

As the other reveiwers said..
I love the color and texture of this skirt. But as the other reviewers said the waist is a bit wide. I ended up having to wear a belt to make it look right after the interior sinch band was tightened. It also was a bit longer than I was expecting. They must have had it on a really ... model. Size 4 was true to size, fit a curvy 125 pound 5'5 fine, except for the waste of course.

Cute but not without issues
This skirt is very cute with a wonderful color and material. However, as others have stated, the waist is too big. It is built for someone whos waist is the same size as their hips. There is a drawstring (which I won't use) that could bring the waist in a bit but if you use it, the material clumps up. Not too attractive. I simply pulled the skirt down a bit and it helps. I typically wear a sweater out over the top of the skirt so the excess material really doesn't show. I am 5'4" ... weigh 128 and the size 4 is appropriate. There is no way a size 2 would have helped because the 4 fits perfectly around ... rear. Overall a cute skirt but be warned about the large waistband.
