tank top - reviews

Great ...
I love the purple color of the PR ... bought, and it fits as expected. I agree that I will probably not run in it, but I think it's great otherwise for any other activity. Just enough coverage up top, and not skin tight on the bottom. I am a 36D with a 27" waist and 37" hips; the medium fit me perfectly.

Great ...
I just ordered another color in this ... love the flare at the bottom. I'm 45 so the mid section is not as small as it once was. This ... accentuated the positive for me and hid the not so positive. I wore it to work with a very light weight sweater to hide the fact it was a sports ... top with the whatever skort and received tons of compliments. It even has two pockets on the back sides to carry my phone while working. Love it!

Didn''t expect to like this so much!
The PR ... flattering and great fitting top. The blue is the 2nd one I've bought and it is such a pretty color. I'm 5'11 with enhanced 34D's and the tall/small is a nice size for me (I typically wear a 6). If you are in between sizes, go down. It is snug with excellent support at the top and flares out just slightly at the bottom so it doesn't ride up or look like sausage casing. :) Love the cool mesh fabric in the back and the pockets are perfect for gels. It was perfect to wear to a theme park as it dried quickly after the "splash" rides.

Great fit and very versatile!
I was looking for a higher neckline top that would be suitable for yoga, without giving everyone a show. Originally I ordered the Switch Back ... because the reviews said it was designed for that purpose. On a whim, I ordered this ... well. Overall, I found the PR ... had the high neckline I was looking for, and overall was more fitted through the stomach area. (Fitted, not painted on!) I am 5'3" and 160lbs and found this top to be a great fit in the Large.

Thought I would like it, LOVE IT!
I just received the PR ... Petunia Pop (great color) which I admit I bought to match a skort. I LOVE this top. Just did some spinning, perfect! The fabric and design of the top are truly performance, porous, wicking material in the right place and awesome pockets. I agree, the slightly A line cut at the bottom is a welcome change from most workout bra ... they usually ride up. This one does not. I can see all the uses for the pockets other than water, phone while running/biking, money for trips walking/biking aorund town with my daugher, Agreed, more colors would be great!

Hourglass figured runners, rejoice!
If you have an hourglass figure and are discouraged by the unhappy campers' reviews of the PR ... here's some positive PR for you: I'm 5 foot 6 and as hourglass shaped as they come (32D with a tiny waist and equally un tiny "birthing hips"). To further complicate matters, I like to run, but not when my top rides up at the hips or bunches up at my waist. (Sound familiar? I knew it would!) I ordered this ... size medium and couldn't be happier. IT IS THE *ONLY* TOP I HAVE *EVER* WORN THAT STAYS PUT BEAUTIFULLY DURING A RUN! It's breathable and comfortable and adorable all over. No chafing, no "cups running over" and no need to constantly tug it back into place. It actually lets me focus 100% on my workout. For me, the PR ... supportive enough for strength training and low impact workouts. I definitely need a bra underneath when I use this for high impact workouts, but that's no big deal. Wish it were available in more colors, but the 3 I own (white, kelly green and petunia) are lovely. Sorry this review is so long. I'm just so in love with this ... it's hard to shut up about it. :)

Pretty good ...
I was slightly disapointed in this ... just because all of the reviews talked it up so much; so here's my opinion. It is a pretty good ... do like the color (petunia pop) and it has worked well at the gym (got a compliment on it too). I have yet to run in it and probably will not like it as much when i do; it is a lot heavier than most other work out ... after being saturated with sweat would only become heavier. I do think this would be a good top for biking though with the pockets on the back for tubes, phone etc. Overall I'm glad I got it but just wish it wasn't so hyped up.

generally happy
The fit of this ... perfect. I ordered it in medium tall and am 5' 10". It also has a nice level of support. My only disappointment is that the white top is see through, even through the two layers of the built in bra and top layer of fabric. I'm thinking about purchasing in other colors though because the fit is great.

Finally!
I usually am afraid to order tanks online, fearing they will fit me too tight in all the wrong places, but the PR ... fits perfectly! I went for a nice road ride in it the day I got it and it was a great fit for being on the bike. The next time, it was my go to ... CrossFit, where, ironically, I got a wonderful PR on my back squat!

nice but...
I bought this ... running. I am an avid runner and I wanted something that didn't rub when I was running. This ... very cute and sporty however it did not fit in the chest area. I am 5'1" and about 130lb athletic "pear" shaped build. I am about a size 6 on top and an 8-10 on the bottom. I purchased the small and it was gaping on top and would not have provided me the support I needed plus it just plain looked too big. I returned it and ordered an xs which was hard to get over my head but once on fit great and comfortably in the chest but left me self conscious about the waist and hip area as it fit a little too snug. I love the design, the color (green) and I LOVE the back pockets which are great for long distance running, which was my main attraction to the shirt in the first place. I'm sad it didn't work out, thought it would have been a keeper...it's just not designed for petites I guess.

Cut into underarm area - disappointed
I was really excited to get this ... looked cute and it comes in a Tall, and as a 5'10" woman with a long torso, I definitely need the extra length. When I slipped it on, it seemed very comfortable at first. However as soon as I raised my arms, I felt chafing under them. The seams are not flatlocked or covered in any way, which is why this top chafes. Unfortunately I had to return it. If Athleta would fix this problem, I would definitely try this top again.
