The perfect ...
My sister recommended these ... my early morning walks when it can be really cold. Love them - lightweight and toasty warm! I'm short and the petite size actually fits. Great for walking my dogs and for running errands - they look so much better than sweats. My training partner wear them now too!

Love them, will buy more!
Absolutely fantastic! Warm and fit nicely. At first I though they were a bit too snug around the hips, but they stretched out comfortably after one wear. The warmest ... own and now I have trouble going back to others. Excellent for outdoor winter activities and training such as boot camps. I'm thinking of ordering some more and maybe even downsizing to get a compression fit. Even my husband thinks they look great -- and I didn't even ask his opinion!

Warm but unflattering
I purchased these ... wear for outdoor winter running. We had an exceptionally cold winter this year therefore I really wanted to find a pair of warm running ... alternative to tights and nylon ... These ... definitely warm in even 23 degree weather and extremely soft and cozy on the inside. If you are simply looking for warmth and are not concerned about appearance, these ... work for you! Even when it comes to exercise clothes I want a fit that is flattering. I am 5'6'' with a thin build yet I felt like the Michelin man in these! I therefore ended up returning them. They did run true to size. (I ordered a small in the low rise style.) I ultimately purchased the Kickbooty winter training ... which was not quite as warm but considerably more flattering!

These ... great!
I love these ... They are so comfortable and they fit really well. The pockets are in a good position to make my butt look good. I can wear them to do personal training and to run errands or go out for lunch and still look stylish.

Yep, these are good
These are my first pair of Bettona ... love the fit and the look. They are great for errands, hanging around the house, and doing aerobic workouts or weight training. You know, there are just days when you don't feel like wearing tights or something snug around your hips and thighs... however, you still want the assets to show. These are the pair that do all that. I usually wear a size 2 or 4 and the small worked great for me.

Cute enough to wear around town
I am 5'6, 135 pounds and usually wear a 2 or 4 in ... originally ordered a small / tall in these ... but sent them back for being too long. I'm still not sure if the x small might have been an even better fit, but keeping the small. If you have less booty, the XS would be fine. The adjustable opening at the bottom is great for me to go from my barefoot Pilates to "shoes on" personal training. The only downside is the small bead on the elastic cord. It hurts when the cord slips out and you step on it! I've received many compliments on these ... ordered them in two colors.

Around Town
These ... all Athleta claims them to be - great for workouts be it Pilates or weight training, nice enough for apres gym. I've always been a fan of the All That ... line, but will add more of these ... my workout clothes. These are perfect to put on after a hard bicycle ride on the road. Comfy, a bit of compression but not too binding.

Amazing
Love these pants. I am a soccer player who likes to run outside in the winter to keep in shape. They work really well and keep me warm in freezing weather. What I really like though, is that while keeping me warm they don't over heat my legs, which is always and issue for me. Overall, I really enjoy these pants and would reccomend them to everyone.

Flattering!
These pants are super comfortable and I find them to be quite comfortable! They're still pretty new, so I'm not sure how they'll hold up, but the material seems nice and thick, there's a pocket in the back, and the seams add a nice touch. I recommend these pants!

Great in all conditions and situations!
I bought these pants to run 48 miles from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon to the North Rim and back in one day. It was awful weather with wind and snow in the morning on the South Rim, then warming up in the canyon, and again snowy and cold up at the North Rim. These pants kept me warm in the cold but breathed and were really comfortable when it got warm. I used them at the gym and in yoga before trying them on the big 48 mile run and they worked perfectly in each situation. They are pretty flattering for being running tights, I love the cut and style. Would definitely recommend.

These pants are GREAT!
Fit is perfect. I read all the reviews for several similar pants on Athleta.com and I took a chance on these and they're exactly what I was looking for. I wore them on a cold morning walk and they were nice and warm... LOVE THEM!

Love it!!
Just had a baby 3 wks ago & was looking for flattering new workout pants to make my gym debut in :) Never ordered from Athleta before. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE these!!! So incredibly flattering!! Wish I could wear them everyday everywhere i go :) Love the design and fabric & fit...just wish the waist didnt come up so high- comes up past my belly button,but no prob- can be folded down easily. Omg, how did i ever live w/o these?! Def recommend!!

Love these pants
I normally wear medium or large pants and the medium fits perfect (5'8" 145 lbs, usually size 8 - 10 pants). I felt like a rock star on my first jog wearing them, they were supportive, warm enough for high winds and temperatures in the 40s, and supportive. I quickly learned to tie the draw string (or they would ride down). I love the discreet pocket on the back side of these pants too! I'd recommend them to a friend...

Awesome Pants
These pants fit beautifully, held my body comfortably. Warm enough in the winter rainy day runs and cool enough for mildly warm days. Never have to pull them up, they stay in place. I am training for a marathon and wear them for all my long runs. I get compliments everytime. I am not a skinny girl, (after two babies in my 30's) but these pants are really flattering and hold me in in the right places.

This is my first purchase with Athleta and I'm happy to say it will be the first of MANY. Ordering on line always makes me a bit nervous, "Ey dios, what if it doesn't fit. Then I have to return it thru the mail, it’ll be a hassle." You know the standard worries. Let me just start my saying, I'm 33 years old and six feet tall my lifelong fallback has been men’s running gear which never fits well. I have a real woman's body hips, butt, thighs there is some meat on this frame okay girlfriend. [...] when I put these pants on they felt like a second skin. Loved it! The rise was just right not to droopy... I hate that rubbing between my legs. The waist was spot on for me as well ... it has a drawstring to keep things in place no embarrassing "peek a-boo" hinney crack here. Finally, I looked down to see *gasp* a completely covered ankle. Santa Maria!The topper, I knew I had a great pair of workout pants when my brother who is six foot one tried to wear them, without my knowledge, (we do that) for one of his long distance runs. LOL! But they’re designed for women honey and there wasn't enough room for his uhhh "dedicates." I highly recommend!

Eeek
I thought these were very cute with a cute cut. I am sending them back because II have cellulite which these pants definitely did not conceal. I would 100% recommend them to anyone with a perfectly toned body.

Different than I thought
I bought these pants for running and regular gym going. I thought that there were a little too tight. I am 5'3" and I bought the medium regular. I usually buy petite, but I bought regular to make sure the pants would cover my ankles. They were not to long for me. Just a bit too tight. I have other medium size tights from athleta, and they seem to fit better than this pair. If you are a very slim runner, buy these pants. They seemed nice. Just too tight for my muscles.

Wouldn''t want to sweat in these
I wanted these for hot yoga instead of looser yoga pants, but they're too tight (yes, I suppose they're called tights for a reason). But they are so tight that I'd have to wear them with a thong, and have you been to a hot yoga class where the woman in front of you is wearing a thong and sweating? It isn't pretty! Returning, will look at other pants instead.

Best ski pants I''ve ever had.
I received these pants for Christmas but just barely used them for the first time yesterday. I love these pants! Yesterday in Utah we had the wettest snow I have ever skied in. My leather gloves were soaked, my coat was wet and water poured off my helmet when I stopped for lunch, but these pants kept my bottom half warm and dry. The water just beads up and rolls off. They are amazing and so cute too! They were totally worth the money. I had some sizing issues: the waist was a little snug on the size 10 but fit great everywhere else, and the 12 is fine in the waist, but now kind of baggy everywhere else, especially at the knees. After yesterday, though, I am so glad I have them!

Warm and Fashionable
I bought my 2nd pair this year - just to have an extra pair handy. The price is high, however, the quality reflects the price. I have spent hours outside in the snow - making snow angels, skiing, watching my daughter during her ski lessons and more. The middle of snow blizzards in the depth of thigh deep snow with gusting winds of snow blowing at me - I stayed warm and dry. I was able to play with my children without wanting desperately to go back inside due to feeling uncomfortable. I am 5 ' 8 1/2" tall and wear a regular size 8 pants. I always need to take in the waist - that's just my body type. I prefer to have more room in the legs and bottom area as I don't like to feel like a sausage stuffed in casing. However, the pants are not so roomy that they would chafe my legs, by any means. They have a soft, fleece like lining that feels so wonderfully comfortable...even with my sensitive, winter skin. I receive compliments and questions as to where I found my snow pants. I truly like the pockets too. Everything is thought through by the creators of this snow ... Please don't change them!! Please don't ever discontinue them either! The jean look rocks! Many thanks, Athleta! I finally found a snow ... look forward to wearing!

Cute, cute ski pants! I am so happy to find ski pants that run in lengths, as I have shorter legs! I wear an 8 in most jeans, but the petite 10s fit great - just a bit big in the waist though, so I'l have to wear a belt. I do have a curvy figure, so no surprise there. I just wanted to be sure they weren't too tight in the butt and thighs, so I gambled with the bigger size and I'm glad I did. They are pretty low waisted, which I don't mind - just will have to be sure all is tucked in properly before hitting the slopes! Love the "jeans look" styling. Not sure I need the leg vents - but otherwise love these ski pants.

Great ski pants!
Nice fitting ski pants are difficult to find. Especially ski pants out of the ordinary colors of black, white, and off -white. This ... coordinates well with sweaters, coats, and jackets in my closet. The fit is really flattering, alot of detail sewn in, and design thought into these pants. Don't even hesitate, because I did, and found them well worth it for next year. Buy them you will not be disappointed. Watch for size chart because it's right on. Also great pants for other outdoor activities for staying dry, comfortable and fashionable.

You won''t see these everywhere
Love the ski jean! I spend a good deal of time looking at ski wear and these are the only jean ski pants I've seen. Everyone who sees them asks where I got them. I read other review before ordering and all said that the pants ran big and to order a smaller size. I am normally a 6 so ordered a 4 and they were still to big! I really liked them so returned the 4's and exchanged for a 2 which fits perfectly. That would be my only complaint about these well made and darling pants.

LOVE THESE SKI PANTS!
Ok, this is my second season with these pants! Initially, the hook on the first pair I received was broken. Apparently this was a common issue with these ski pants. Athleta had a "hand written like" post it stuck to the pants telling me how to use the closure. Needless to say, I had a rapid exchange. Although, the closure does still give me issues. I noticed this years model appears to have a button. Should I exchange them? hmmmm - I have received MORE compliments on these pants! From little kids, to men and women of all ages! I LOVE them! Also, being out for lengths of time, the numerous pockets enable me to pack all kinds of stash.

very good, but waist could fit better
Athleta, why do you always make me choose between pants that are too long, and a waist that is too big?? It just doesn't make sense that you don't offer size 0 in petite. Petite people have small waists too! I imagine that tall people have the same issues with your smaller sizes. (The guys have it right with their waist/inseam sizing for pants.) That said, I'm keeping these pants, though they're too long for me, because they are simply better than anything else I've found out there. Cute and functional design. Happy I purchased them at a discount.

Adorable but not functional
Have been wanting these pants since last year, but too expensive. Finally purchased on Black Friday with 30% discount. Im 5' 2" 120. Big hips and thighs. Ordered both size 4P and 6P initially. The 6P was gigantic. 4P was roomy in the rear and thighs but that's ok since I get cold easily when I ski and usually wear heavy/thick long underwear. However, the waist is much too big. Sent the 6P back and decided to order a 2P. The 2P fits great...once I get them on. I have to really wiggle to get them over my hips, but once I do, the waist, butt and thighs fit well. However, I will have to wear only lighter weight long underwear with the 2P. Was a tough decision on whether to keep the 2P or 4P. Went skiing at Xmas and wore the 2P. They were very comfortable, but I did get cold (and it wasnt that cold of a ski day - low 30's). Also, I found the low rise to be a problem. I carefully tucked in my top layers, but still, sitting on chair lifts, there was a gap between my jacket and the ... waist and I got very cold. I really want to like these pants because they're so cute, but these may be strictly spring skiing pants for me. And, they may be too pricey for just a spring ski ... Also, as short as I am, the Petitie length is just barely long enough. I may order a 2 regular and see if that helps with the low rise problem. I dont understand why anyone would design a ski ... such a low rise - completely impractical.

Powder Blitz on the Powder pants
I think the pants could be awesome. However, the snap button was faulty. In addition, the pants run about a size larger than marked. When reading reviews on this items, I noticed other customers struggled with the same issue. However, I loved the design and cut and wanted to exchange for a smaller size with a functional button. While trying to make the exchange the ... sold out in the smaller size. I am hopeful Athleta will have a similar design next season, so I can enjoy wearing these fun ski pants.

Love the pants.....only problem was they came broken....button at top of pants was not attached. Customer service then went to exchange and miscalculated, leaving me without any pants. Customer service also had a bit of a we made a mistake....but can't do anything to fix it attitude. Overall the pants we wonderful, so it is very frustrating to be without a pair. Also, one other of my 4 items that I ordered was broken upon arrival, so the consumer should be wary of defective merchandise.

too bad about the pants
My whole experience with these pants was disappointing. This is unusual for Athleta They are a great company with good products. the pants took 2 weeks to arrive. The first pair of size 6 were HUGE. I am 5'7" with thin athletic build. I returned the 6 for a size 4 which again took 2 weeks to arrive. When they got to me the front snap was missing and there was someones chewed gum stuffed in the front pocket. I did not find out until I tried them on so I can comment that the pants still ran large. I returned the Athleta pants and purchased some by North Face. Thats my sad powder jean story hope others experience is better. Thanks for listening.

HOT BUNS
LOVE THESE ... highly RECOMMEND KICK BOOTY ... even if you don't have the most perfect booty!! Originally, I was a bit concerned ordering these ... because I'm a "baby got too much back" gal. I ordered the medium and these ... fit and LOOK GREAT and they are becoming my most frequently ... I'm 5'2, smaller waist, bigger bottom, and the petite worked well and they fit on my hips perfectly....these are low rise so keep that in mind. I find these ... very comfortable for the gym--weight training and cardio sessions. I was in the gym the other day wearing my Kick Booty ... training legs, and a guy asked if I was a figure skater or a ballet dancer! LOL! I ordered 2 more pair that night!

Great Fit
These ... look and feel great. I'm 4'11", 100 lbs and the Petite XXS fits without hemming for once. I wear these for gym training and weight classes. I would buy another pair.

Love Love Love These ...
Okay so I am Updating my Review. I bought these ... months ago and was initially upset by how "staticy" and lint attracting they were but I've gotten over it. These are my go to ... am 5'0 102 -110lbs (on any given day) and I bought the xs petite. They fit perfectly. I wash them on cold and hang dry them and I wear them every other day so they get washed a lot!! They are not losing their color or shape. They are so flattering and they are comfortable during all my aerobic activities strength training and yoga. I love these and I have searched everywhere for ... right length for me. These are perfect with my Nikes and Asics!! The material is a little heavier then I would like for the spring and summer but I will be buying the shorter versions soon. Balked at the price at first but for ... wear almost everyday, they are worth it.

A little disappointed with the material....
I bought these ... b/c of the great reviews I read and b/c I have 2 pair of chataranga ... which I love...but, the material isn't as thick and moisture wicking as I had hoped and I still had "swamp crotch" if you know what I mean...I wore them while training legs, and I sweat A LOT when I train legs. My other ... don't show sweat like that, but it's possible that the color I chose (the heather black/grey) will just show sweat regardless. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for sweating like crazy at the gym, but I don't need the attention drawn to my crotch b/c of sweat marks. Also, my other ... Medium Talls and fit fine, but these are a bit too long...am hoping they'll shrink a bit when i put them in the dryer. Overall though, I really like the fit...the lines on the back do flatter your booty. I'm definitely keeping them, but will have to wear them on days when I'm doing lighter workouts!

Great cords!!
Really great pants. I love that they fit perfect right off the bat (I'm 5'8" 130#'s). I'm wearing them now and have been for the last two days... I love the small details that set them apart from off the rack cords. The styling inside the waistline is cute. Also the snap buttons are great. The drawstring cord freaked me out in the other reviews but I love it. It's like a flat ribbon so it doesn't get in the way of the fit of the pants. I hate when I buy pants but they have a gap at the back, that always happens to me. No need for that worry in these pants, they fit great.

Totally comfy and the perfect length!
I'm 5'10" and 140lbs. with long legs and shorter torso. I have major problems finding pants that are long enough but not too long. These and the Chataranga pants fit me perfectly and are SO comfortable. I got a 6 tall in these and a Med. tall in the Chataranga pants. Athleta is now my new place to shop for pants! And I learned to be OK with odd colors as the prices can be significantly less (full prices here are too high for me).

In love with the fit!
I have been eyeing these dipper pants for some time and order the low rise dipper & corduroy dipper at the same time. They fit wonderfully, and I don't find pants that fit well very often. I will definitely buy more pants from Athleta. My only complaint is the same as everyone else's...I really thought Cornerstone was grey. I saw perhaps the slightest purple tint on my screen, but it is way more than a tint, the pants are more lavender than grey. Luckily, purple is my favorite color and I own a lot of purple tops, shoes, jackets, jewelry. I was hoping these would be more of an every day ... but since it will be quite noticeable when I am sporting my purple pants, I won't get to wear them as often.

Coduroy Dipper ... sweetpea is mustard color
I ordered these pants when I saw the "sweetpea" color was on sale for [$], what a deal! From the website, it looked like the "Sweetpea" color might be more of a honey color, which I would have liked. I think a more accurate color name should have been "Bright Dijon Mustard", it was a bright yellow mustard color--just wasn't the color I was going for. As far as the fit, I felt that it fit true to size. I'm normally a size 6 (5'8", 137 lbs, long legs), and a size 6 in these pants fit fine in the hips and in the ... length. What I didn't like very much was the cut of these pants, they flared out a tad too much in the legs--reminiscent of bellbottoms. The design of the pocket flaps in the back for some reason really seemed to accentuate my but, but not in a good way, in a BIG way. I don't know what the deal was with the buckle gizmo on the back belt loop, very weird, I thought this would bring some back discomfort during long car rides. I returned these, even if they were on sale for [$]. Personally, I thought the Corvara pants looked better on me.

Very nice pants
I bought these pants to wear to work during the winter months. Because of my 1/4 mile walk to my office, I wanted something that would keep me warm and still look stylish for the office - these pants fit the bill. I was worried about all the metal on the pants as I have to go thru a metal detector everyday, but so far, I haven't set off the alarm. I give it 4 stars, mainly because I don't like the draw string inside the pants - when I tie the drawstring, it sort of bunches the pants and catches the top front (I would give it 4.5 stars because its a small inconvenience). Similar to the other slim reviewers, it would be nice to have size 0's in the petites. Other than that I would still recommend these pants because they are comfy, warm, and nicely designed)

Am I a tall or not?
This is my second pair of Athleta non workout pants. I ordered the Park City ... regular and it was too short, so I ordered the tall which has a 35 inch inseam. Those pants are fabulous and just the right length on my 5'8" body. So, with the Dipper ... went right for the tall since the inseam says it's the same length as the Park City ... These pants are really a bit too long. I've washed and dried them in hopes they will shrink and it doesn't seem that they did. I'm not sure what to do. I love the rest of the styling on these pants but they really aren't cut to pool around my feet and that is what they do. I worry that the regular will be too short, and I'm not sure I want to send these back and be without them for a week while waiting on the regular length. I certainly need to wear my clogs or high heal boots with these pants. I may even need to get them altered. They would look very nice if they just sat properly at the feet. I love the little details that set these apart from other pants, the interesting pockets and seaming. I certainly want these pants, I just need to tackle the length issue. Athleta could you please be a bit more consistent with your pants?

These pants have a slightly different cut than the dipper pants I bought 2 or 3 years ago - seems like these have a bigger waist, and definitely longer leg. I am almost 5'8" and although the leg length shrank a little in the dryer, I still have to have the pants hemmed about 1" or so. Otherwise, great pants, I love the styling and will probably buy more even though the fit isn't as perfect for me as the last version of these pants. Nice soft, warm corduroy - cozy for winter.

Great pants, but they don''t last
Bought these pants last year and loved them. I'm 5'3" 120 with "curvy" hips so it's hard to find pants that are flattering. The size 4 petite fit me perfectly. However, less than a year later the pants are mostly worn out. There are wear marks on multiple parts of the pants. The corduroy wears down quickly on the seat area which is very noticeable. I've worn them about once a week this past year. I was planning on buying another pair when these wore out, but wasn't expecting it to happen so soon! Now I'm looking elsewhere. [$] is too much for so little use.

Great pants -- except for one thing.
I got these pants in the mail the other day and I loved them. They're a great color (I got the purple), they fit comfortably, they are the right inseam length for me, they're flattering, they're warm on a chilly morning, etc. They have just one problem, and that is that the waist closes with one of these totally weak snaps that you guys like to use. So now, bend down to pick up the cat, my pants pop open. Reach for something on a shelf at the store? Pants pop open. Twist around to fasten my seat belt? Snap pops open. It's not that I bought the pants too small, they fit loose and relaxed and they're not muffin topping me. I had this same problem with some cargo shorts I bought from you two summers ago -- and those were a full size too big. It's just that weak snaps do not belong at the waist of active girl pants, even with a drawstring as backup. I can get the cheapest pair of jeans ever and they will at least close with a standard metal button on a shank and stay buttoned. Now I have [$] pants that won't stay closed. I'm going to see if I can get the tailor shop to take out the snap and put in a hook or something. Please look into not using these lousy snaps anymore.

Sadly unimpressed but great customer service
I was really looking forward to receiving these pants, but was greatly disappointed when i finally tried them on. First off, it fit in all the wrong places. It was too tight in the waist but way too baggy everywhere else. The fabric was too heavy and didn't compliment the cut of the pants at all. I have a couple of pairs of regular dipper pants as well as the skinny dipper, which I love, and expected a lot from these pants as well. I can not stress how unflattering they are. The color was horrible also. I should've known, I asked for bronze and sure enough I got a pair of extremely bright, almost florescent, bronze pants. If you're not into heavy, bulky fabric that makes you feel 10 pounds heavier, bypass these and check out the other dipper selections. I'd also like to say, Athleta has great customer service and prompt when dealing with returns and exchanges.

So unexpected...so sad
A friend raved about these pants and now that I have tried them, I don't know why. I'm 5'8", slim build and long torso- normally wear a size 6 or small in most brands and styles. I have muscular legs and hips from skiing and biking. I ordered a size 6 and could barely button them they were so tight around the hips and butt! If I go a size up, the thigh area would be too loose.The pants came too far up in front, they looked like mom pants. So unlattering and I can usually wear anything. The color was a little strange too. Maybe if the pants were hip slung they would have fit better.

training pants - reviews

great ... bought them in 2 colors (black and khakina) for a 3 week trip to china and japan. the ... held up great and are super comfortable. I also got the topanga ... sale and although i like the heavier feel, the pockets on the dipper ... make them ideal for traveling. they held up without needing to be washed that frequently, did not get wrinkley when rolled into a little ball and stuffed in my pack, are VERY lightweight (ie you can pack a bunch without weighing down your pack), and they were dry very quickly whenever they got wet (rain or washing). I tend to wear low waisted ... so this was a little higher waist than i am used to, but again i think for traveling it worked great. the ... water resistant, it ended up raining a number of days we were out and about and my legs remained dry under the ... could see the rain on the ... like it gathers on an umbrella!) although after enough rain they did finally get wet. the black looks nice and dressy. they were comfortable enough to wear for 4-6 hour train rides in all sorts of weather. my only qualm was that they are very thin material, great for most weather except cold. i did not anticipate excess rain and snow on my trip and wish i had thought to pack tights or long underware to layer under them. but overall i am very satisfied with these ... would buy them in other colors.

great ...
I love the dipper ... am training for a half marathon and wanted something I could wear in the cooler weather in Colorado. The Dipper provides the perfect amount of warmth without being too hot because they breath really well, in addition they are SUPER comfy! Sometimes I just wear them around the house on a snowy day!
