Quality, Flattering, Well made
Athleta costs a little more than some athletic inspired clothing companies and this dress is a perfect example of why you would pay a little more. I bought a size 6 Tall and it was perfect for my 5' 9" 148 lb athletic body. I'm going back and buying one in every color. It's great for a bike ride, walk on the beach, shopping, hanging out with the kids, lounging, you name it. It will be the first thing in my suitcase when I ... looks like it doesn't wrinkle like crazy. And I didn't notice it in the picture but there's a cute little pocket on the front that holds maybe a key and some cash if you just want to go take yer doggy for a walk and pick up a coffee on the way. Great material. Love love love this.
Great dress!
So many things to like about this dress!! I love the material - very lightweight and comfortable to wear. I bought the purple and it is a nice deep color, so pretty! I bought the 2 petite. Normally I wear a 0 or XS in clothes so I was afraid that it would be too big, but it was just perfect for me. I am 5'1", 103lb, 32B. It is the right length - not too short or too long. The light padding in the bra area is great and makes it so I don't have to fuss with a strapless bra, which is a HUGE bonus. With my chest it is usually difficult to wear clothes without a bra - but this one looks great! Thanks for another great product!
Perfection
I LOVE this dress! I bought it to take to Mexico for a yoga teacher training and while it could be perfect for any warm weather outing, it is extremely awesome for traveling! I had it rolled up in my carry on and when I took it out to wear, there were NO wrinkles. Amazing. It also has a great hidden zipper pocket which I love on clothes and the back is stretchy ruching, making it comfortable. I am muscular build, 5-5, 155 but flat stomach, good curvy shape and the 8 fits like a glove. I will say that I am a large B cup and if my girls were any bigger, the ... would be obscene, FYI. There isn't support in this ... large busted. Otherwise, this ... summer staple for years to come :)

This dress is very comfortable!!! I love the fact their clothes have tradional classic lines. A size 10 or 12 still looks VERY nice and i think the lines are what make 90% of their clothes. Not binding but still flattering. I am wearing it to a wedding; can be dressed up or down :)
i usually have a hard time ordering clothes that I can't try on first..but i loved this ... so much that I had to try it. I'm so glad I did!! I love it. I ordered my regular size and it fit perfect. The fit is very flattering. I love the material and the elastic in the back gives it a nice secure fit. I'm a mom of 2 and 43yrs old...and don't have the body of the model who was wearing this ... yet it still looks great! This ... favorite for some time I'm sure.
perfect for traveling
What I like most about this ... size. I am 5'4'', 108lbs with very little in the chest area. I usually don't wear halters, but this works because of the cut and padding. I bought a regular size zero and size wise, everything was perfect. I have mixed feelings about the fabric, which is closer to that for workout clothes than anything else. While I like the fact that it doesn't wrinkle and that it dries easily, you could get a bit sweaty in hot weather because of the material. I'm still glad I bought it, though. I think it is great for traveling.
Made for me?
I was really excited to receive this dress and tried it on immediately in the bathroom at work. It fits like it was made just for me! Clingy on top (I'm a little small chested) and well fitted throughout the top portion. Perfect length, too. I'm planning on wearing it in Mexico on a little weekend vacation. It's sexy, too, yet athletic and simple. I am so glad to have found Athleta clothes. It's more than I usually spend on clothes, but I can tell that everything is quality and will last for a while. I also got a bikini, which fits wonderfully, and a skort. Keeping them all!
functional dress
I purchased this dress in a 6 tall. I"m 5'11", 135 lbs. It's tight in the chest area but works for my smaller chst. Not sure how it would be for a larger chest. will be good for travel and summer days.
Athleta doesn''t make clothes for busty gals!
This ... would be great if it provided decent coverage in the bust. It is very cute, the fabric is great and it has a nice shape. I think it would be a great item to take on trips, however, sice I have a 36DDD top and wear size 8 pants it's not for me. I give up. I won't be ordering any more clothes from Athleta since nothing fits up top. I am so disapointed! I've purchased several bathing suit tops as they have the "bra cup" sizing, but I should have limited my puchases to those items.
these dresses (and most of your clothing line) are not meant for woman with generous bustlines. I'm fit & 50 and think your clothes look great on the model.....but not suitable if you have breasts!! Too bad for us.I was hoping to take this to Italy over the summer...but top was too tight & revealing.
Disappointed!!
After admiring Athleta's clothes in the catalog for many months, I finally decided to make a purchase, even thought the prices were higher than what I normally like to spend on myself. I figured if I loved the clothes, I would keep them. I'm sending this dress back. It was so tight in the waist, it made me feel fat. And I didn't like the little pocket which I hadn't noticed in the picture of the dress. If I looked like the catalog models, I might have kept it!
