underwire sports bra - reviews

Best sport ... have ever worn!
Normally I hate underwire sports ... also hate racerbacks, so I look for regular straps. I decided to buy this after trying it on in the store, and I am so glad I did. Very comfortable and supportive! I normally wear a 34C or 36C. I did buy the 36C and I felt the cup fit was great, the band a slight bit large, but hoping that will change after it is washed.

After searching far and wide.....
I have been trying to find an underwire sports ... more than four years to no avail. I have gone to every store and done a ton of searches online. I am so happy to have finallly found one that is what I was looking for. I had just settled with the flimsy sweaty fabric kind without alot of support even though I am a 36D but now can feel so much better when I work out. I will probably order another in a different color and may try the T Bird ... well since this one does come fairly high in the upper chest area.

Love it... Great support and sense of overall comfort... Highly reccomended!
I have been searching high and low for a good sports bra that would give me the support and comfort that I need for my 32-34/ C D chest, but without any luck. Honestly, I was very hesitant to order on line, sure that I would have to try on various ... I've had to in the past) in order to find the perfect one/fit. Luckily, tho, the 32-C that I ordered in the Glory bra fits perfect... I plan to ordering another one in the near future. I'd recommend selecting a size down, I feel as tho if the bra is a bit tight then you'll have more support & less room for the girls to bounce. Even though the fitting is tight ish and the bra is an underwire one, it is not uncomfortable and the underwire does not push into the skin at all, I even slept in it the other night quite happily! Also, love the full coverage, I no longer need to be self conscious when teaching yoga poses like standing forward bend!

Best In Show!
The Glory ... far the best of all the ... tried on in the category of high impact support for larger breasts. I'm a true 32DD so it's necessary to be able to specify band size and cup size. Having been a B/C cup most of my life I miss not being able to grab a size medium sport ... go, but a well fitted, supportive ... like the Glory ... allows you to forget about all that and just enjoy running. Once it's on the girls ain't movin'! I think the underwire construction, "lifting and separating" besides giving you the best shape, actually provides the best support and least bounce. It is a lot of ... -- but comfortable, well constructed, and wicks well. I think it's a great value. Thank you Athleta, for providing quality options for unique sizes!!!

Great bra!!
As a large chested lady (34-36 D) I thought I had the perfect sports bra combination: underwire sports bra underneath, then a size too-small normal sports bra on top. It worked pretty well until I wore the underwire bra out. This bra is so much better than that! I didn't even notice I was wearing it, even while sprinting! I did notice that the middle doesn't stay flat against the body, but only when lifting the bar and it caught on the bra. I usually go between a 34 D and a 36 D. I ordered a 34 D and it fits great. It was a little tough to get on the first time, but after that, it's wonderful.

tight...
Maybe I'm just not used to wearing underwire ... but this feels so tight I couldn't wear it for longer than a few minutes. I am normally a 32DD, but I ordered a 34DD and the band still just barely fits. It gives me good shape and support, but there is no way I could run or do anything in this ... I'm not sure if another size would work better or if I will always not like the feel of the underwire. I will have to send this back and continue the search for a supportive, padded, everyday ... wish this came in a non underwire version. It might not be quite as supportive, but I'm not looking for a ... run in anyway...

No jiggle
I was a little leery ordering a ... line but after reading all the reviews for this one decided to risk it. I'm so happy I did! I'm a 38D/38DD (depending on the brand) and have a terrible time finding a sports ... provides coverage and support. As other reviewers mentioned, the underwire comes up very high in the center and sticks out a little bit, but I don't care! I put this on and there was absolutely no movement! I can run and jump around without pain or embarassment without feeling squashed. I would recommend this ... anyone looking for great support.

heavy duty bra support
I have been looking for new, more supportive sports ... one definitely satisfies that criteria. It is supportive and comfortable. It has nice shaping too. The only thing I don't love about it is the underwire. Ideally, I prefer to exercise without an underwire, but I liked it so much otherwise, I thought I'd give it a try.

Great ... except...
I ordered this ... (34D) when it was on clearance in the bright pink color. Great color, great support. The band was a little tight but I think it would stretch with use. But, after I wore it once or twice the stitching came loose causing the fabric edge to fray, and after I wore it three or four times the plastic underwire poked through the seam binding. Athleta graciously offered to exchange the defective item for a new ... clearance price, but the stitching on the new ... already loose when I took it out of the package. I am always looking for a well made, well fitting, supportive sports ... am sorry that this one didin't work out. I appreciate the helpful customer service, but Athleta clearly needs to address some quality control issues with this item. :-(

Disappointed
Really hoping this would be the one. The quality is okay. The material is okay. Not sure why they put elastic in the back of the straps????? Just seems to defeat the purpose of trying to keep the girls in place. The cups definitely run small. Feels like I am wearing a push up ... instead of a supportive sports ... am a DD cup and find myself spilling out of the top. Have purchased other sports ... seem to fit better as far as the cups go. I have to agree with another reviewer, .....the underwire pokes out in the front center.....because the cups size is too small. Wow, if they could only have a standard measurement to go by when constructing ... clothing for women.

Underwire eluded quality control
If I had tried the Glory Bra on in a store, I wouldn't have bought it. Trust the reviews that say the underwire does a weird thing between the cups -- sticks out. I kept it out of laziness and because I guess I can wear it under work and casual clothes, but high impact? Hardly. I mostly wear underwire sports ... so I know how they should be nearly bounceless for running or jumping. I'm 36D; perhaps it's OK for smaller sizes, but they probably wouldn't be looking at a purported high impact bra in the first place. However, even if you're smaller, I advise you to look for another bra -- the underwire is defective and irritating because it's not flat to your chest between the cups.
