2nd Review
This is my second review - but, I have 3 of these, so that is fair, right? These jackets ROCK! They fit true to size- I am 5'5, 116#'s, 34B- XS fits perfectly as a performance ... have been exercising in these in 0 degree, windy weather for about 60-90 minutes at a time and I am NEVER cold! Athleta, please don't change style, fabric or cut and more colors, please!! Worth every penny!

Fantastic ...
This is a great ... running! We had a cold winter this year and at first I thought no way this ... would keep me warm, but it did. Many of my morning runs were in 5 to 10 degrees and I was toasty warm within ten minutes of running. And, every run I had someone run by that said, "What a pretty ... good looking, visible, and performs great. I normally wear a small and this small fit me although at first I felt it was snug. After wearing it I found I liked how it fit, but it just was more form fitting then previous jackets I wore.

This ... winner!
I love this ... winter running! Was skeptical about the bright green color, but it works. The overall quality is great: the pockets, warm lining and reflectivity/ visibility are all awesome. The fit is snug. I wear XS/S Athleta tops; the S in this jackets fits, BUT I cannot fit anything heavier than a dryfit underneath.

LOVE this ...
This ... everything and more. I keep checking to see if the Strawberry color becomes available in my size as I'd love to have two of these jackets. I wear mine for running outside in snow, rain, cold weather and it is perfect! Based on other reviews I ordred a size up and it fits fine but the sleeves are a little long. If the other color becomes available I would order my usual size medium. I hope Athleta offers this again next year!

Great for winter training!
If you are serious about winter training, this is a great ... However, it is NOT for cool weather running--with it's insulation, it is a cold weather ... truly waterproof; I have run in snow and rain and stayed dry. It is also windproof; I have run in 30 to 40 mph wind gusts and have stayed very comfortable. I am 5'7" and 120 lbs--the small fits very well. It is fitted, but not as fitted as some Athleta items. I am not sure if you really need to size up to fit layers underneath. I have run in teens and 20 degree weather with just a last year's Sierra Thermal shirt underneath and was comfortable. All and all, this ... has some very nice features for a reasonable price for winter training. I looked at [...], etc for a winter training ... found this ... well priced compared to those other jackets--and for the most part, those jackets were missing one feature, whether it be waterproofness, insulation, etc. The reflective details are also very nice, especially for those winter warriors who have to run early mornings or late evenings! I think it will also be an awesome snowshoe ...

I am glad I read previous reviews and ordered a size up. Not a great coat for any layering. I purchased for nordic skiing and think it will be fine with a good base layer. Very pretty and nice stretch. I wish Athleta carried tall sizes for tops and jackets. The sleeves barely cut it. I'm 5' 10" and weigh 145, the large fit snuggly. Will have to wait for snow to review better.

Beautiful ...
I am usually not a double brested ... kind of person, LOVE my ... bought the purple one since I have a lot of other dark color jackets, what a nice change of pace! can't wait to wear it tomorrow. It can be dressy and casual, I am going to wear it with a casual dress and tights and boots, can't wait!

Is it wrong to love a coat?!
I love the light weight, softness and warmth of fleece, but I often want a dressier look than the zip up style that you usually see in fleece jackets. This coat is the PERFECT solution! I hesitated to buy it at first because I usually need a 3x thru the bust & shoulders in anything structured, and Athleta plus sizes only go up to 2x. (That's not really a complaint - stylish plus size activewear is hard to find, so I'm thrilled that Athleta offers it at all!) I'm so glad I took a chance on it, though - it's incredibly soft and comfortable, not to mention versatile! The 2x is a bit tight for me in the bust, as I expected (I wear a 42DDD bra), but actually fits perfectly in the shoulders. Since the coat isn't quite warm enough for really freezing weather anyway, I'm usually fine buttoning only the third set of buttons, which leaves room in the chest, shows off a pretty scarf, and has the advantage of making my waist look extra defined. The length is good, even for a tall gal (I'm 5'11"), AND the sleeves are long enough - hallelujah! All in all, I'm in love with this coat! It's so great that after buying the Falcon color on sale, I'm strongly considering paying full price for the black version!

Cozy and stylish
This fleece ... warm, soft and cozy. It feels like wearing a sweatshirt ... but it is longer and more stylish. It looks great with skinny pants and boots, and since it is longer, it would also work with a dress or skirt. I bought the Falcon color, and it is sort of greenish brownish gray. It goes with most other colors. I normally wear size 8 or medium in clothes, and sometimes get large in jackets because I prefer them to be roomy. I ordered this in medium and it is plenty roomy. I noticed a small tear/imperfection in the material after wearing it only a couple times. I'm not sure if it came that way or if I snagged it on something. I hope the material is not easily damaged, because I really like it.

Nice but stinky
Very nice warm ... fit as expected however it has a very stinky chemical smell to it. It does seem to be getting a little better but I can still smell it. This is a perfect ... me as I don't like anything to heavy or warm on 35* plus day's. I am from Michigan and only like really warm jackets when it dips below freezing.

Love this ...
I would have given this ... 5 stars except that it runs big. I ordered a smalI (I'm typically a small: 5'3" 120 lbs) but had to exchange it for an x small and it fits perfect. I love Athleta because I can count on things fitting my body. I have long arms and legs and everything I have ordered has fit. This ... very flattering and slimming. It is very thick, not thin like most fleece jackets. It is stylish enough to be worn as a ... if you are going out for a casual evening.

It's an okay fleece ... design is good although in reality it is not exactly like how it looks on the model. I'm 5'1 and about 110 lbs. I did have to exchange and S for an XS, but the sleeves and body length were still a little long for a petite person. What really made me decide to return it is the smell that both jackets had. I did not want to wait to see if washing would help with the smell.

Hipper than a regular fleece but has design flaws
I bought this for a more stylish alternative to my fleece jackets. It's overall style is more polished and I like that it's different, but there are a couple of issues. The sleeves are quite tight, so you can't really wear anything thicker than a thin cotton shirt underneath. Also, the waist seam is awkward. it's above the natural waist but below an empire waist. The double breasted snap buttons are not very functional. They take an effort to do up and you end up really poking yourself to get them fastened sometimes.

Most favorite ... ever!
I love this ... fit was true to size based on the size chart. I love how fuzzy it is and the detail on the back makes it unique from other similar jackets on the market. This coat keeps me warm on my morning walks even on cold Chicago winters.

Looking for a Warm Light Colored ...
I was looking for a white/light color ... taking my dogs out for walks in the evening as I don't have street lights were I live, so wanted a highly visible ... walks when it got dark. This one fit the bill perfectly. It's nice and warm for cooler nights, and oh so cozy with the fuzzy inside and outside. The only downside is white gets dirty, but the fit is great. I fit some other Athleta jackets in Med, so not sure if this one fits smaller or its cut tighter so it can be layered under other ski type jackets. I'm about 5'5" and 155 and ordered Large so I could wear it more as a ... T shirt underneath. The only drawback is the sleeves seem a little long on me, but I have that issue with other items too...plan on getting them shortened.

LOVE this ... wear it every day
I purchased this ... replace my North Face fleece ... just had a baby in May and the North Face jackets are do tight and narrow at the hem. I am 5'-11", with a 36" inseam. I have long arms and everything is too short in the body and arms. I purchased this in 2x and it is perfect. It is long enough in the arms, the body fits great over my pregnancy post belly. The ... super warm and cumfy. If it was a less expensive ... would purchase in more colors. I get compliments all the time on this ...

Love It!
This is one of my favorite jackets to wear. It's so cozy and very cute. It is a fitted ... very flattering. It's also one of my favorite colors. I bought the ... Whenever Cord Skirt and the two together work out great. I will be wearing this a lot!

Super warm, super cute!
I love this ... runs a bit smaller, I ordered my usual size for jackets (L) and it is definitely fitted, but I like it that way. The fabric is very soft, the embroidery at the waist and the seaming is very flattering. Sleeves were a bit longish. I received lots of compliments when wearing it! I would not wear it with a bulky underlayer, but with a couple thin shirts it was perfect. I am 5'8", 150 pounds, long waisted, and usually wear a L in athleta jackets/sweaters, a M/L in tops.

Oh so cozy!!!
This has to be one of the warmest, coziest jackets around! The fabric is so plush that I want to wear it indoors to lounge around as well as for outdoor activities. I also love the fit, it is very form flattering and feminine. A great wardrobe winter staple!

Feminine, not matronly or cutesy poo, long and lean, comfy
Compared with typical heavy fleece jackets, it's not quite as warm, but the fabric and styling make it much more useful for indoor wear (the heavy fleece zip jackets I tried at an outdoorsy outfitter store were warmer but too stiff, with no 2-way zipper, so the zipper pouched out whenever I sat down). STYLING: The long and lean design makes it more feminine than the unisex looking fleeces out there, and the longer length and slim cut are more modern looking than some of the "ladies" fleeces I've found (this is long enough to wear with my skinny jeans). However, I don't like the topstitching design on the front, because it somehow makes me look flat chested. My eye is getting used to it, but it could be better. The thick, tall collar is very warm when zipped all the way--love it! The pockets are cozy feeling, too. COLOR: I got the violet, which looks like the photo as shown on the model, not as dull as in the solo product photo. It's very pretty. I haven't noticed much shedding, but it could be that shedding is more obvious with lighter colors on dark trousers. SIZING/FIT: I'm 5'2"/110. I am usually an Athleta size S on top, mostly due to my angular shoulders (my usual top sizes outside of Athleta are 2 regular, 4 petite, XS regular, or S petite). This size S fits well except for the too long sleeves. I cuffed the sleeves and it's fine (the interior looks finished enough to do this). Overall, the ... plenty roomy for me to layer a tutleneck or even a lightweight fleece underneath--I would not call this tight in any way.

Mika Returns Minka because of Waist and Waste of Money
I purchased two Minka Mountain jackets, one in Olive and one in Violet, both of which I returned, primarily because of being overpriced and not being fitted enough, as well as not being warm enough for anything more than milder cold weather. (I wrote this review several mos ago and never sent it in bec of tech problem, but now I am adding that the winter was very mild on Long Island in NY so it could be a good ... respect.) The olive looked as expected, leaning more toward a cozy earthy autumn winter brown color, which I like because it is practical, matching brown shoes and bags, and would probably not easily look dirty even if it was. The violet is very pretty as a second/extra purchase, leaning more toward being a bright, hot, sexy, or fun/playful color, though my mom told me she thought the color was better for the spring season, even though the coat is too warm for the spring. The ... very nice, soft and comfortable, and if you like it and money is not a problem, I would say go for it. However, as one other customer reviewer said, it seems like something you can get from a cheaper department store, which I am not putting down, as there is a time and place for everything, and so I would not pay more than $30, $40 tops for this. Yet, I did see/feel one made just like this by North Face (Athleta carries this brand), and for the same over $100 price, but without the lovely stitched design on the side, so people obviously pay these prices for even less attractive jackets. Based on the description and reviews, I expected the ... thicker/plushier/warmer. I live in the suburbs in Nassau County in NY, and as I said I did not think the ... good for our average cold winter weather, but instead it is only good for driving or walking around in autumn or milder cold weather. I concluded this by testing it outside in mid November, and I switched to a down ... good as a car driving ... because you can stay warm enough with some heat on in the car, and you can also be comfortable moving around since it is stretchy. However, I think it is more efficient to layer by wearing a down type vest over a less expensive stretchy thinner hoodie, or just the hoodie, which will allow you to wear a coat when you leave the car and enter the cold weather, but without being as bulky as trying to wear a coat over the Minka. Even though the description says that the Minka is semi fitted (as I found out when I called about returning the jackets), after reading all the reviews, I thought that the ... would have been more fitted especially at the waist, and that is why I purchased it. My shoulders and hips are wider than my waist, so the ... not as fitted as I would have liked, making me feel a bit "frumpy" (cheap department store) rather than sexy, and I think that is what cheapened the ... almost immediately made me want to return it. I think it should have been fitted at the waist, and if it had been, I may have kept it just because it looked and felt good, even though I might have felt guilty because of the price. Also, there was no hood, and I truly think the ... should have come with one, at least a detachable one, possibly a stretchy fitted hood all through the neck area, which would be helpful if the ... worn alone, since, afterall, it is a small easy to carry convenient ... would not want to have the unnecessary added inconvenience of taking a hat or scarf along too. A hood as such may have made me feel like I could wear it in colder weather, perhaps with a down type vest over it, or I still probably would have needed a winter coat, which would have had to be larger than my normal size, possibly with some stretch, to wear over it. The reviews indicated that the sleeves were very long, which was perfect for me because I have long arms, but I can see how they would be long on the average person, and way too long for people with short arms. I would not want to use this ... yoga/gym/running, because after sweating a lot, I would want to wash the ... if it is worn closer to my body, especially due to odor from my underarms. Therefore, I would want to wear a thinner and/or less expensive ... can be washed more easily and frequently. I would not want to wash this Minka ... frequently, as the fabric may not contine to look/feel nice, and it would take up a lot of room in the washing machine. However, I can see how people may want to use it for something like skiing, especially since the need to stay warm and flexible for that sport, would outweigh washing and aesthetic concerns. ( I do not ski, so don't take my word for this). The violet color is prefect for skiing. In spite of many customer reviewers objecting to the price, most of them loved the way the Minka felt and fit them, so they kept it, but I did not. Now, you decide.

perfect
Love this ... so much I've ordered another. Just wore it over a long sleeve tee for my walk with wet snow coming down. Kept me dry for an hour. Great for layering, as a coverup on the beach, and windbreaker for hiking, etc. As I walked through the woods I worried I had ripped it when I felt it rubbing against the sharp branches, but there wasn't even a snag. It's thin fabric, but very sturdy. White is see through, which doesn't bother me.

The aqua color just makes me happy : ) I wear a medium in most jackets and this one is a bit roomy which is not a bad thing. The material is whiper thin and the ... can fold down to be stuffed in a small Camel Back pocket. I look forward to wearing this at my son's baseball games, early evening runs and hikes this summer.

I read another review of this ... not good, but I took a chance and ordered it anyway. The other reviewer said the ... material was way too thin - like wearing a trash bag. She is kind of right on this. It is very thin, but I ordered the blue color which is not see through. I don't mind the very thin part as I was looking for something to wear on cool summer evenings or in the early fall like baseball games in September by the river or summer evening concerts outdoors by the river on nights when the weather is just a little bit cool. I could also wear it as a cover up at the beach. However, the material is so thin that I am worried about it ripping easily - I will just have to be careful. Otherwise, I love the color and the design of this anorak. It is not too tight fitting around the waist as many of the others out there are. It is more loose fitting and I like that about this anorak. The color of blue is very pretty and it matches my Columbia River Water Shorts, so I can wear it to the beach also. I will say, however, that for the money, this anorak may not be worth it, but I kept it because I like it. [$] is a bit much for a ... material is so thin. I saw a windbreaker selling in [...] for only $29, but I thought the one from Athleta was prettier. Also, this is not my first experience with "cheapness" in the clothing Athleta sells. I ordered a golf shirt last year and returned it because the material was so thin and cheap it did not seem worth the price. Your prices are already too high - at least deliver clothing that is high quality and worth the price - or lower your prices. I have been getting your catalog for years and personally, I like title nine better, but I am many sizes too large for title nine now. I ordered a whole box of title nine clothing when I was a size 12 and was highly pleased with their quality - they only sell up to a size 14 mostly. But now, I am a size 18. It is too bad, because it is hard to find athletic clothing for plus size women.
