winter hats - reviews

good work out ...
I love the ponytail spot in the back. I don't love the look of skull hats on me so the lip/visor on this ... plus to the ... bought the matching gloves which are warm. The gloves are starting to pill already which isn't great. No regrets. Good purchase

Perfect for Cycling
I have been using this cap under my bike helmet all fall ... cyclocross races, training rides and commutes- it's fits well and doesn't leave much of an indent in my head as compared to my cycling specific hats, plus I think it looks pretty cute when I take my helmet off. It covers my ears about half way, which is fine becasue I want my hearing to be unobstructed while riding on the road. I love this ... even more becasue it's super wicking- so not only does my head stay dry from sweat, but I can just throw it in the laundry and it air dries on the counter FAST. I have not noticed any fading or wear and I am definitley using this cutie everday. Durable, comfortable and stylish- oh yeah, and perfectly warm! Thanks Athleta!

great ... running ...
I bought this in a small b/c most Athleta hats are too big for me, however the small didn't cover ... ears, and I need the warmth in NE winters! I exchanged for the M/L and its perfect. Love it

Love the fit of this ...
I'd say I have a fairly average head - I bought the M/L for myself and it fits great. I also bought the XS/S for ... mom who has an impossible time finding hats to fit her. I think she'll love it.

Just not quite right for me
One size fits all does not work for me in hats, so I am always willing to try something that comes in a larger size. Unfortunately this just didn't work - in order to get the flaps over ... ears the ponytail opening ended up too low. If you have longer hair (i.e., don't need your ponytail to be too high) and don't mind wearing a somewhat silly looking ... could work for you.
