Sassy but not Sinful!
Really like this ... Overall sizing works re length and waist. I am 51yo, 5'5'' and 132lbs and bought Size 6. I have an average body shape i.e. not skinny thin, a little bit of midlife belly but not considered overweight. I had some requirements: 1. fun and flattering ... short enough to show some leg [but nothing else :-) ]. 2. nice colors for Fall and Winter [the blue and green are very pretty]. 3. comfy enough for everyday wear [has a little bit of stretch]. 4. contemporary styling to be 'hip', but classy enough to wear at work [women tell me it is flattering and a stranger called me "hot mama"]. 5. pockets (that do not add bulk). Upshot - I got everything I wanted... so much so that I turned right around and order 2 more for a total of three. Athleta Folks - please make this a staple every year and maybe expand colors to include a mustard yellow and/or saffron/coral.

I'm 5'4" tall,112 lbs.I order these skirts in the size 2.I say skirts as I now own this one in 3 colors.I love the length a couple of inches above the knee on me the fabric is a nice medium weight so you can wear these in the spring/summer with sneakers and a tee, or add tights,boots and a sweater for fall/winter.The waist band is wide and sits at a very flattering point at the waist,plus there is a draw ribbon if you need to snug it up a little being a ribbon its not at all bulky and you cannot see it under your tops.I'm 47 and I think these skirts are appropriate for women in my age range not so long to be frumpy not so short to be inappropriate.Love this ...

Perfect!
Being smaller (5'1/2, 115lbs) I tend to be skeptical on skirts in general because of the length to waist ratio. But this ... has completely renewed my love for dressing up! I ordered size 2, the length is perfect and sits a couple inches above the knee. The wide waist band doesn't cut in, but sits perfectly on my hips. Im telling you, this is a GREAT ... Ps. I wear mine with cowboy boots and it makes the look super cute!

Cute ...
I don't usually wear skirts and tights but got many compliments the first time I wore it. Very comfy and stylish!

great mini ...
Since this is a mini ... wouldn't tend to wear it for sports though it certainly could be used for that, with the right undergarments. It is a fine corduroy fabric, so while I would wear other skirts besides this one for sports, with leggings for warmth if needed, I wouldn't with this ... because it just seems too nice, and it also doesn't have elastic give like other more sporty skirts. I will wear this with short boots and cute tights for a great outfit, day or night. It will also look nice with a cute shoe (alas I have to wear flat shoes) or with a tall boot and socks or tights. The mauve color blends in well with this seasons' various purples and berries and blues. For footwear it could easily go with black or brown (or other colors if you have them!). This could also make a cute general active wear ... travel, but I wouldn't recommend it for heavier sports such as skiing. It is very cute on and would suit many body types.

Great ...
I've worn this ... just once now with tights and tall boots, and was complimented a few times throughout the day. Like some other reviewers, I didn't want the mini ... look. I'm 5'3" and usually wear a petite. I bought a regular and the length is perfect - it's still on the shorter side, but with tights looks good. There are no belt loops and I'm a bit curvier so sometimes have an issue with waists on pants/skirts. The ribbon drawstring helped, and was fine on me, but this ... might not be the best for really curvy women.

Comfortable ...
The ... comfortable and goes great over tights. My only complaint is that the rise is higher than I expected; as a result, I have some gaping in the zipper area. I find Athleta has a a difficult time designing clothes for us shorter, athletic women (I am 5'2" and rarely buy anything because it's always made for women who are the size of Gabrielle Reese). This ... came in a petite length, which meant it actually fell above the knee. Other than the proportion issue, I am happy with my purchase.

cute ...
After reading the reviews, I ordered a 6 Tall. I am 5'4" and 125 lbs with muscular legs. I normally wear a 4/6 in Athleta's skirts and pants. The waist on this ... huge, but I like the ... sitting low on my hips. I wore this with a turtleneck and tights and received tons of compliments. I liked it so much that I ordered another one in a different color.

Nice ...
Nice fabric great color, but ran small. Normally, I'm a size 4 but when I received the purple ... four, was too tight. Returned and exchanged for a 6. Fits perfect and I love the stretch and quality of this ... I'm only 5'2" so I like the skirts that others say run short. For me this length is perfect.

Fun ...
I was searching high and low for a corduroy ... season in a fun color. I bought the mauve ... have really enjoyed wearing it. Paired with tall boots, the length on this ... just right. It is a little shorter than other skirts and I think that is what makes it great. Very stretchy and comfortable for all day long.

I reluctantly returned this item
I am 5 ft / approx 105 lbs. Since the 2P was not available I ordered a 4P and a regular 2. The ... itself is very well made, I love the fabric and the color and it has just the right amount of "give". Unfortunately it was not at all flattering on me. The ... belled out around making me look "hippy" and neither tucking in nor leaving a shirt out helped. I tried putting various blazers & jackets over top but that didn't work either. I even tried to iron it thinking I could encourage the shape I was looking for. Unfortunately nothing worked and I sadly had to return both skirts. I gave 3 stars because I still feel the ... well made/constructed and it will look great on someone - just not me.

This is probably one of my favorite skirts of all time! It fits great, very flattering, super soft and comfy material, stays true to shape after wearing all day, washes well--does not shrink. For me, it's the perfect ... wish there were other colors because I would buy them all!

Absolutely adorable!
If you like stripes and asymmetrical looks, you will love this ... normally do not spend this much money on skirts (or any clothing items actually!), but I wanted to spend some summer "mad money" on cute things I could wear all summer long. I'm so glad I got this! It's extremely soft and just adorable. As for sizing, it fits true to size. I'm 5'4" and about 115 pounds, and the petite XS fits great -- it's not too snug and has nice drape around my thighs and hips. (I usually wear a 0 or 2 in bottoms.) Love, love, love this!

Great ...
Love this ... I'm 5'3" and 145 pounds so I ordered the large petite because I hate skirts that are too clingy in all the wrong places :) It fits perfectly and skims over areas that I wanted it to skim over. I was scared the stripes wouldn't work for me, but surprisingly they're fine!

Great ...
This is my favorite ... my best find from Athleta. It is very comfortable and flattering. I love the stylish stripes. They don't make me look fat at all. I hesitate sometimes with stripes but this is very flattering. I usually wear a 10 in skirts and went with the Med. I was not disappointed. I wish they had it in more colors.

I absolutely love Athleta's skirts and this one is no exception! It is made of very comfortable, loose (but not too loose) fabric that swings with you as you walk or dance. Very comfortable for travel and packs well.

great everyday ...
I wear skirts preferentially rather than pants,and this ... has all the features I prefer: the front is double due to the faux wrap, soft rolled waistband over a tie, great drape, length below the knee. As good with sandals as with boots, with tees as with warmer layers. Great for travel because it won't wrinkle. Athleta is my best source for informal skirts.

Soft and Different
Two things I like in these knit style skirts. Quality fabric so it doesn't stretch out and look cheap and interesting seams or fabric. This has both! I really liked the stripe look and the seaming is flattering so it hangs well. A cool, unique ... hot summers.

Love it!
I own 3 of the skorts in this style. I am 5'4", 124 pounds. I ordered the 4 Tall in this because I like my winter skirts to be 23" long. The fit is perfect. The grape jam color is beautiful. Would like to own it in asphalt and black too. I especially like that on the skirts, the top stitching is tonal and not contrast stitching like it is on the skorts.

Love this ... can dress it up or dress it down. I love skirts that have a flair to it compaired to straight skirts. I've worn this ... work with tights and boots and it's very cute!

super cute ...
I have a hard time finding skirts that look good because i do not have long legs so skirts tend to fall too long for the look. This ... came in petite so it fits perfect. Super comfortable as well. Very flattering cut.

Love this cut
I have a small waist but large hips and upper thighs, so I like cuts that have a flair at the bottom. This will look slimming on anyone. I wear it to work and for casual. I wear tights underneath currently, as it is almost November. I wish this style came in different fabrics and more colors...as I would only have this style ... my closet. Order a size smaller. I think all clothing manufacturers are way off in sizing...trying to get women to buy more. I normally wear a 6, and the size 4 is roomy.

Great casual ...
I have two of these skirts - my husband bought me the green (Tapenade) one last year and I bought the Fieldstone color this fall. This is a great casual ... - very comfortable. I am 5'8", 150 pounds and usually wear a 10 or 12 in jeans/pants/skirts, size M in athleta skirts and L in athleta workout pants. I have this ... both a 12 [...] and 10 - the 10 fits much better, so I would say this ... very true to size. I can still wear the 12 no problem by just cinching up the drawcord at the waist, it's just a little looser, which doesn't matter that much with this ...

Everyday Perfect
I have two of the Whenever skirts that I wore all summer and had to get the cord Whenever ... pull me through the fall and winter. I get compliments every time I wear these skirts and I'm sure the same will happen when the weather gets a bit cooler and I start wearing my cord one. It fits perfectly and is so comfortable. I plan on wearing it with tights and cute sweaters and jackets. It's comfy enough to lounge around the house and cute enough to do anything outside of the house!

Love it!
The ... well as everything else I've ordered from Athleta) fits like a dream. It is a medium to lighter weight ... perfect for tights in the winter and great by it's self in spring and fall!! I must say that Athleta is the first place I've found that the clothes fit "real" people. I am 5'10" and a solid, athletically built 154lbs at 39 yrs of age. I am thrilled that there are stylish, dare I say, cute clothes at the ready for women who like to be on the move. YAY! Athleta!!

Cute but not for me
I'm not a ... person but I have 3 of the Whatever lighweight skorts & love them so I thought I'd try the corduroy version. I ordered a 10 & 12 & the 10 fit best but the fabric is heavier so it doesn't drape the same way. While it looked pretty cute I decided that it would probably end up hanging in the closet since I hate to wear hose/tights so rarely if ever wear skirts/dresses in the winter. However if you do like wearing skirts I would recommend this style - note that it is just about knee length!

Great ...
I now own two of these skirts. One in a dark green color and now in this light stone color. I love the length and fit. If I had to change anything I'd like them better if they would sit lower on my waist though.

Not for Pears
This ... made for women who are shaped like a "V" not a pear. Waist is huge and hips narrow. Pears beware unflattering. Returned.
