Favorite grab and go
I've had my eye on this skort ever since I first saw it. When I finally got one, I knew it was one of the best buys I've ever made. Because of the stretch of the fabric, I can use it for just about anything. I can put it on in the morning and not worry about changing if I decide to go to the supermarket or get on a bike. I can wear it with a sports shirt, a tank top, a tee, a hoodie. I plan to get a couple more in the other colors ... knows if I'll stop there?
This skort is the BEST!!
Where shall I begin? This is a fantastic article of clothing. Liked the first one I purchased so much I bought 3 more (they're worth the $$)! The material is very soft, light weight and comfortable, keeps me cool, and wicks away the moisture. Wore it to a outdoor sports event in 90 degree temperatures and despite the heat this skort kept me cool and comfortable the entire time. Flattering to my 5;3", 130 lb, pear shaped figure. The length is great for me, falling just above my knees. Excellent item Athleta!
Love this Skort!
The Whatever Skort is a favorite in my wardrobe. Last spring I purchased my first. I liked it so much that I added another color this spring. It's great to wear to my kids sporting events (where I'm more active) and church (where I'm not so active). It's truly a Whatever skort. Regarding size and fit for me: I'm 5-10 & 150. My first skort I ordered a Tall 8, which for me was a too roomy in the waist, ... does have the draw string, so that helps even though it gathers a little too much. I should have exchanged it right away, ... some reason I didn't think I could wear a 6. When I ordered my second I went with a regular 6 and it fits much better. It's a great length and the waist fit is good too, again the drawstring is a big plus for this skort. I see other ... wearing this skort and it looks great on several body types.
My Summer Uniform
This skort really is an element of my summer uniform. I wear it as often as I can get away with it! I bought it last year in a pinkish purple color, so I plan to get one in another color for this summer. I get compliments almost every time I wear this thing. It is perfect for wearing to kids' sports events, over a swimsuit to the pool, on vacation to the beach (it goes from beach to shops to restaurants), etc. The fit really is true to size. I am a 6/8, and the 8 fits very well.
MUST HAVE!
I bought this last year for my trip to Europe. It was perfect! Can dress it up and wear anywhere. Got so many complements and wore it all summer. I just bought another one in the purple color--a great fun color! Same size, ... length is actually about an inch shorter, which is great for me. I don't wear it for sports ... would be a great golf skirt. BTW I'm a size petite 2.
This skort is very modest, yet sporty. I love wearing it around the house and for working or sports. Well worth the money!
Buy this skort!
I just recently bought the whatever skort right before my trip to Maui and holy moly! I wore it half the days we were there and even wore it home on the plane... I got three compliments on it from other active women... and when they found out it was a skort they vowed to buy it. One even exclaimed- "I knew it was Athleta, I recognize it from the catalog, I am so excited to see it on someone- now I'm gonna buy it for sure!" SOOO COMFORTABLE! I even used it as a swim skort in the ocean with no problems! The only recommendation I have is if they could make one of the pockets on the back into a "real" pocket or put a small zipper pocket on it somewhere (for a credit card and hotel key card) and it would be the most perfect skirt/skort on the planet! Perfect Skirt / Skort
I have a friend who has a skort and wears it hiking every time we are in Utah. I decided I want one. I didn't even recognize that this was a skort, when I saw the photo in the Athleta magazine. I thought it was a short skirt, and passed it by. Something caught my attention, and I took a second look....maybe it was when I searched for "skorts". This one has more room to move and is knee length. The way it is stitched with the fullness it brings makes it swingy, fun to wear, and sporty as well. The fabric is light with a little stretch, and makes it easy to walk in or exercise in as long as the exercise is not strenuous, i.e. yoga would be difficult. Too much material and if hips overhead then fabric would be falling in your face, ... then I do Bikram (hot yoga) and want skin tight clothes for that exercise workout. While running, I would think there is too much fabric and too much swing. For everyday walking, hiking, or exercises such as Tai Chi, or bicycling, etc., it is perfect and cooling with the way it is made. Shorts are true to size, and not too short or tight. Definitely not for winter sports unless you want to wear tights under it, and could be cute with boots, and perfect for ice skating (with some tights). Be creative. Easy to pack, takes up little space, and I wore it to play one night where I had to dress up. Threw on a white cotton blouse and a shiny pair of dangly earrings, red slippers and I was ready to dance. I want another one! True to size, and I highly recommend adding this to your wardrobe. With large hips like I have, I found the waist fit and the hips fit too, and the waist has a drawstring, if needed, along with the zipper and snap buttons. Easy to wash (even hand wash) and dry or drip dry. No ironing needed. Buy one. Have some fun!
Whatever Skort truly is for whatever you want to do
Great skirt! I haven't worn it for any sporting activities yet ... have worn it to work and for weekend errands. It's very comfortable, the fabric is wonderfully soft and flowy and the shorts super comfortable. I have a very straight up and down figure so frequently if something fits in the hips it's too tight in the waist and vice versa. ... skirt is comfortable in both hips and waist. For ... smaller waists the drawstring would be really useful. I am generally a size 12 and this 12 fit great.
Great skort
Received the skort and immediately tried on. Cute fit and the length was just about right. AT 5'3.5", 140 pounds, I'm neither petite or regular so length and rise are often an issue with me. Small waist and larger hips and rear are always an issue. The rise on the skort was great, ... little displeased witht he slight pucker in the back portion of the waistband. Thought maybe a wash or opening the pockets would help ... not really. Overall fit is decent and I purchased on sale, so I am pleased. The pucker may go away after I lose my 5 pounds of vacation weight. The ASPHALT color is grey with a slight purple tinge to it and the stitching is cream rather than white. It will be great for running around town, travel, and sports where a fit and flare type skirt won't hinder performance (not recommended for yoga, gymnastics, etc).
Versatile skort
Need this in the next size up. Sizing is for juniors not real women.
