Perfect fit for the tall ...
Love this top. I'm 5' 10", 135 lbs, small B Cup, with a long torso, and a small belly pooch under my belly button. I normally have a hard time finding workout gear made for tall ... affordable and has great quality. Athleta is now my new source for finding the clothes I need to practice yoga, go running, walk my dogs, or hike for hours through the forrest. The top's material is soft and durable. I like that the top stays in place while I practice yoga and doesn't ride up my belly. I will be shopping for many more Tall Women's Athleta gear from now on.
great sports top
I bought this top just a few weeks ago for running and tennis and really like it for both. It is comfortable and does a great job of wicking away sweat. I'm a newcomer to nice exercise clothes so I may appreciate it even more than the next person, but it is sylish and flattering, and makes me happy to wear. The pockets on either side on the back are especially great for tennis balls. I like that it is feminine while still being really functional. I am 125 lbs, " 5'6', wear a size A cup and bought a small, which fits great. I would definitely recommend this top.
Love this top; great support for a tri, for a big person!
I bought this top when starting to swim for training, and practicing for some fun/sprint triathlons. It is everything I could wish for. I am NOT a small woman - athletic and not slim, 5'10", 200 lbs, DD size breasts, and this tank covers and supports exactly how I need it to when swimming, running and biking. I got a size Large, Tall. It is easy to swim in, with the razor back staying out of your way on the shoulders and it's form fitting so no drag in the water. The length is great, and that's always a major problem for me. It is definitely form fitting, so you have to be comfortable showing your shape, but I'm no model and I am comfortable jogging through Boston in this top. I do not wear another sports bra underneath (with the fit I got, I could not comfortably fit one), but also don't feel like I need it. The small pockets on back are great for your ID, keys, or to hold a little snack during long workouts.
Nice workout top
I really like this top! It is very fitted. I typically wear a size small and that is what I got in this top. I do like the fit, but there is no play room. My only complaint is I wish the armhole was shaved out a little bit... it rubs a little under my arm, but not enough for me to be unhappy with the purchase. I still wear it proudly! The fabric is very comfy.
Workin'' Out!
This is the first "official" work out top that I have ever owned. I usually wear a sports bra with a tank top. I now know what I have been missing. This PR tank is fantastic. The support is so good, that during indoor soccer, when I ran, I felt no "movement"..! The bust area is fitted and flattering, yet the body flares out a little so that you are not constricted during Yoga or Cardio Barre. I am 5'7" and 120 lbs and wear a 34D and the medium was perfect. The only negative that I can say is that I bough the black and white and the white was too see through for me to wear comfortably in public!
AWESOME!!
I LOVE this purchase!! I bought it in purple and it is gorgeous! I was afraid that the thickness of the material would make it hot to wear running outdoors in the summer, but so far I have not had any problems. It has mesh areas for air flow in all the right places. The fabric weight makes it lay very nice. Wore it on my long run over the weekend and no problems with chafing anywhere either. The pockets in the back are AWESOME! I was able to use them to hold the water bottles that are for the Nathan Hydration belt. Perfect for other things like gels, ipod or any other supplies. I am 5'6" & 124# and usually wear XS or S. I purchased a small in this based on reviews and it is perfect -- not too tight. I am VERY flat chested, so the bra top was still a little big for me (could use some padding in my case), but otherwise very flattering.
One of my favorite tops for running and cycling
I purchased this top last year followed by another this year and might even go for a third. This is a snug fitting top which took me some time to get used to, but the way it fits I don't really think I would want a bigger size. I wear a large and am DD, but always wear a sports bra underneath. I could probably get away without one especially cycling, but I like the extra support. The best thing about this tank are the nice sized pockets in the back. I find it harder and harder to find shorts with a decent sized pocket and usually have my keys and iphone while I workout so they are perfect. They're also great for sport gels or mini water bottles. I've never tried swimming in it, but I'm thinking it will be what I'd try for a tri. There is definitely an issue with the material bunching in the front, but it isn't enough to bother me.
Terrific Top
I love this top but will wear another bra with it for Higher Impact activities. I am 5'10" and wear a 36DD therefore was not expecting it to be quite that supportive. It is great alone for hiking , comfortable for everyday wear of lower impact activities.
Too tight
I liked the style of this top, but S was too light for me.(I am 116lbs, but top heavy, 34 D, and it was too tight around bust, but M would have been too large every where else!) had to return. This is not an uncommon problem with athletic tops for me!
I wanted to love it but....
Overall this is a nice top with decent support even for larger breasted ... but I have a couple of issues with it: 1) although it has an unlined built in bra instead of a liner the thickness is about the same as a liner. I could wear a wet white t shirt and have less show through than I did in this top (I did not order it in white). I ordered medium, which is what I usually wear in Athleta tops but for me to wear this top in public I would have to wear a bra under it and, while the medium is a good fit, it is not loose enough to add a bra. 2) In the catalog the top looks like it is slightly flared at the bottom, which would make you think it is a little looser in the waist and over the hips but in reality it is not. This is a very form fitting top and it is a little longer, which you would expect if it were flared but it isn't flared. This is fine for tall and/or long waisted people but doesn't lay in a flattering way for shorter people (I am 5'2"). The idea of this top is good and for the right body type it is probably a great top. I am sorry it didn't work for me.
soooo cute, but too hot and scratchy
I loved this tank when I tried it on. It was super cute, and I was excited to hit the courts. Unfortunately, this fabric does not breath, especially where it is double layered (bra and pockets). I felt like I was wearing one of the 70s polyester athletic uniforms. It also irritated my skin and felt just plain "scratchy" in the back. I wish it wasn't so, but this is going back. Big bummer.
