Superhero grade cycling capris
I'm on the website for a 2nd pair. These are lightly padded and wear well on or off the saddle. I use these for road cycling to get to the store and for my Saturday rides, for 40 minutes to 2.5 hours in the saddle. Wash cold and hang dry, they're just like new. Had my first pair for 4 months now and they look like I just took the tag off. I'm 5'1", 28" inseam, 126 lbs and wear the small. I have 14" calves and the openings stay right at the calf without riding up at all. I love these ... capris. I do have a pink line across the calves when I take them off but it's not uncomfortable. They don't chafe, the rise is moderate and hits just under my belly button and above my front pelvic bones (the anterior interior iliac spines for the anatomically correct). Two weeks ago I ate it after a too long moment of hesitation and a poor decision, landing hard on my right side. I opened up my ankle but my hip was protected by these shorts and they didn't even get scuffed, much less ripped! Next day my chiropractor found my right leg 3/4" longer than my left and adjusted accordingly. These shorts are that good. If you experience chafing at the inner thigh try them sans underwear. Great capris, I'd recommend them to anyone.

The spin kickers were an awesome pair of cycling shorts. I typically wear a medium when it comes to bike shorts but bc I've had other items from athleta, I went ahead and got the small - it turned out to be a good decision. It is a great pair to have for cooler weather cycling and bc the padding is not as thick as a regular cycling short it was great for some gym time post cycling as well. Side note: the padding is a bit thicker than tri shorts but definitely not as thick as regular bike shorts.

Perfect for Cycling
I just got two more of these since I like the one I have so much. I think these are the most attractive cycling knickers out there. Probably because the crotch padding is minimal. But it's all I need for 20-30 miles on the bike. Love the rubber strip inside at the bottom. They never ride up. I like the pattern of the seaming. The SMALL fits me perfectly. I am 5'4", 130 lbs & toned. Unlike some of the reviews, the padding has never bunched on me at all - they look very sleek on - and the one I've worn for a year still looks almost new. Really well constructed. My favorite cycling pants. But for very long rides, I'd probably try more padding.

Put 32 miles on them this morning!
This is a great ... capri. I'm 5'10", bought the XLT and these fall mid calf perfectly. The non slip rim on the calf stays put and the draw string on the waist band keeps them in place on long rides. Extra padding in the crotch is well placed and not too bulky! I love these so much, I already bought a second pair! The amount of compression is just right - good support all the way through!

Great Spinning pant
I purchased a pair of these cycling pants to teach an early morning Spinning class, which seques into a 30-minute core workout. They are wonderful. The sham/padding is just enough protection, yet not as bulky as my cycling shorts, which is nice when we transition into the core part of class. I have them in two colors; the black and asphalt/dark charcoal. No complaints. I am 5'6", 140 pounds, and I purchased a Medium.

Spin Knickers are great
I love these. I will never go back to the bulky ... shorts I previously used to spin. Excellent pants.

love these pants
These pants are awesome. They are extremely flattering and comfortable. There is just enough padding to lessen the "discomfort" after my ... classes, but I don't look like I am wearing a diaper. Good quality fabric, and the band around the legs doesn't pinch or itch whatsoever. I could wear them all day!! I will be ordering more!!!!!

Love these pants!
The spin knickers are a great pant for teaching my cycling class. I don't like wearing my regular cycling shorts for class which is just an hour, so these fit the bill. Even though there isn't really padding, th shape is great because you don't have the seam right down the middle which makes it more comfortable in the saddle, and the capri length is great for keeping the legs muscles warm. I bought two pair and love them. The material is really sturdy and will hope up for a long time!

Well, the reviews had me nervous! But I was already ordering something else and these were on sale, so I decided to gamble and try them despite all the reviews about the "bunching in the crotch" issue. (Plus, I'd already bought the Spin Shorts and loved them, so I figured I'd be safe with the Capris.) I am SO glad I did! These are very nice cooler weather ... capris! And I LOVE the gem blue!!! Super cute alternative to the plain, traditional, boring old black. The fabric is nice and thick and the cut is very flattering/slimming. They are just the perfect length! They stay in place and the legs do not ride up or roll. I like the lighter rear padding (not so bulky) for spin class and shorter rides and I do NOT have ANY issue with them bunching up inappropriately or puckering in an unflattering way. (I guess I lucked out, but I own them in two colors now and neither has this problem as described by others.) My favorite feature is the fun "tattoo" across your lower back, just below the rear waistline! So cute! The only problem was that right out of the package, the exposed front seams were ragged and rough (poorly made). I actually couldn't believe they had passed Athleta's quality control! Everything else I own has always been very well made. I would absolutely have sent them back or exchanged them, but I loved the color and there were no more in my size. So... A few minutes of trimming with my fabric shears and now they look perfect! So I kept them and am happy. If it helps, I am (almost) 5'5" and 116 pounds... I measure 25" waist and 36" hips and the XS fits perfectly!

Great buy!
I just started spinning a few weeks ago and bought this capri after reading the reviews. I love it!! Usually the cycling shorts/capris are too tight, both around the waist and legs creating bulges and muffin tops but not this one. It fits like a dream. A little looser than I am used to for cycling, but they look and feel amazing. The chamois is just perfect for spinning and not too big. The rise and leg length are ultra comfortable, and stayed in place during the class. All in all I am very happy with my purchase. I am 5'8 and 140lbs and bought the medium.

not for distance ...
Nice color, nice design on back. Padding not enough for road biking but I guess people in spin class would like it. A bit of a creasing in the crotch which I don't get with regular ... shorts.
