Great workout pants!!!
I typically buy pants exclusively from another major company of workout clothes, but lately they have not produced any new styles. I am VERY GLAD that I gave these Athleta pants a try! I LOVE THEM!!! I was concerned with the wicking ability and how it would compare to my other brand of workout pants, but there is no question that these pants have great wicking ability (I teach group fitness classes and fear wearing gray pants because of the chance of showing off my sweaty areas when stretching, kicking, etc.--So far no issues with that!). I also love that Athleta offers petite sizes; I have to look for the "short" option because most workout pants are made for "tall" people and I step all over the hem! I am 5'1" and the short/petite option with their pants fits great.

WORTH THE MONEY
These pants were highly recommended to me by an acquaintance. I hesitated spending that much money on one pair of fitness pants. I work hard for my money but don't want to "invest" in junk. I'm glad I bought these! They're form fitting fitness pants so if you don't feel comfortable in form fitting clothing you won't feel comfortable in these. They're true to size. I generally wear anywhere from a 6-10 in pants but hover around a size 8. I ordered a medium and the fit is perfect. I have always had a "booty" and it shows in these pants. But it also shows in every pair of pants I've ever worn. However, these pants are thick enough that no dimples show through. The pants also skim over your curves and problem areas. There's no bunching. However, they do pick up lint and animal hair like crazy and aren't as dark black as I'd like them to be. All in all, they're the best fitness pants I've ever worn and I can't wait to buy another pair.

Now that I''ve got the sizes figured out...
I'm 5'8", 130 lbs, hips on the low end of the small range based on Athleta's size charts and in excellent shape. However, every pair of fitness pants I've ordered from Athleta in a size small has been too tight. Maybe it's me at age 50 I just don't feel comfortable in skin tight workout clothes anymore. I need at least a 33" inseam so have to order talls and have them hemmed but it's worth it. I've been very happy with the styles, quality and selection Athleta has to offer. Now that I've figured out the sizing I will be ordering more.

Love the pants, hate the fabric
At first glance these are perfect- lightweight for the gym, and flattering on the booty. Even with bikini briefs I couldn't see a panty line while standing up (in the black pants). The rise is a touch high, but good for staying in place during yoga/ fitness classes. These were really comforable. I am 30 years old, 5'9", 170 lbs, athletic, and pear shaped and the medium fits perfectly. The length was great too. However, I am glad I tried to do a few moves in these in front of the mirror. Just bending down to touch my toes pulled the material so much that you could see the design on my underwear clearly through the fabric. Even with solid dark bottoms, you could easily see the underwear the second I bent over or did downward dog. These went back beause I already have a pair of black bootcut workout pants from Zella that I love, and I didn't want a second pair that could only be worn sans undies.

LOVE these pants, but...
I can't have them. I have the Chaturanga Capris in Small Petite. They are absolutely perfect, so I wanted the pants too. Sadly, I have tried three different sizes in the pants and cannot find the right fit: Petite Small, Regular Small, and Regular XS. The petite small was perfect in waist, hips, and rise, but just too short. I looked and felt like I was wearing floods. I am 5' 1-1/2", and my legs are not long for my height. A petite is what I need, but 29" inseam is just not long enough. I wish they would make it 30" knowing that customers could shorten if necessary-- like I was prepared to do with the regular sizes if they fit. However...The Regular Small was too big and loose in the waist and hips, and too long in the rise. The XS was just right in waist and hips (equivalent to the SP) but just too long in the rise. I am SO SAD because I love, love, love the Chaturanga capris (great fabric, fit, look!). I do wish Athleta would add another inch to all their petite pants, because I've had this same problem with each of the styles I've tried. I am a group fitness instructor, so I wear fitness clothes all the time. Sadly, my long pants can't be Athleta. :(
