Delighted!
I ... only had ... one week and ... already hiked in ... twice. ... very comfortable, durably made, and look flattering on ... figure. The fabric is considerably more substantial than all the other ... previsouly purchased from other retailers. I was expecting ... slightly lighter in color--I got the purple shade--but ... might fade some overtime and the color is beautiful. The are somewhat pricey, ... feel that ... worth every penny. I hope ... come out in a shade of blue, too.

Excellent everyday, Decent ...
I bought 2 pairs of dipper ... camping and ... trip with the intention of wearing one and returning one. I am keeping both! ... excellent "every day" ... sufficient for ... 5 stars for everyday use, 3 stars for ... used the dippers on an 9 mile hike up Old Rag Mountain, VA. The hike included a "strenuous" rock scramble which required me to scale and bearhug ... way through large boulders. The dippers held up great, no rips and no dirt, and ... flexed with me. I nix points for ... because there is no way to cinch the opening of the hem. They're bootcut and when I am walking through tick territory I'd prefer to ... closed. Also, the pockets are a problem. The front pockets aren't big enough to hold anything substantial, like a camera or cell phone safely, and the calf pockets are awkward when climbing huge rocks (I put ... phone in the button calf pocket and it got banged around a lot. Thank God the screen didn't crack--because when you're looking down at a 15 foot drop between rocks, it's hard to worry about if your screen will crack when you're shimmying onto the next rock because the pocket is poorly placed. ... also were a bit slippery on the rocks, I didn't get much grip when sliding! ... would be great if ... were convertible pants--that should be added to next year's model! As far as everyday ... great! The waist is a little higher ... certainly not "high rise" and I feel comfortable with where ... sit, maybe an inch above ... hip bones. The material is not soft ... very comfortable and will move with you. ... wear well and look really nice on without looking too "womanly" (I'm 28 and like to think of myself as still young enough to be hip and ... work great for that!) I am 5'2 and120# and the size 4 petite fits me nice and loose without looking baggy. I made ... purchase at the Athleta in Towson, MD and I highly recommend going to a store to try ... their other items on, because you will get a better feel for the material. The sizes run true (I am definitely between a 2-4 and the size 2 fit ... snugger than I'd want for ... store had a GREAT selection of petitie sizes, which made me very happy--and ... do free hemming if ... too long. The ... expensive if ... not on sale, ... feeling I'll be using ... long time and for a lot of different occasions--travel, ... eveyday wear, and ... can probably even be dressed up in a pinch. Overall, a worthy buy--after all, I ended up keeping both pairs. ;)

Sent ... back
I was disappointed with ... looking for something to hike in when I go to Scotland. I wanted quick drying and comfortable. I'm 5'7" tall and weigh 150 lbs. The size 12 was a little snug. I ordered 2 pair and each pair fit differently (hate that)!. The leg opening to slip the ... were like huge bell bottomed ... concerned that I would trip over ... thought that maybe the opening was so wide in order for it to accommodate a shoe. Also, ... were short - no way did ... inseam of 32" . What's worse than short bell bottomed pants???These ... just didn't work for me. Back ... went.

Good ... except for the hardware
This would ... been a great ... (which is what I intended ... except for one bit of overdesigning. The metal buckle and loop at the back waist is unneccesary and made ... nice ... unusable. I can't see any purpose to this added detail at the back. You couldn't hike with ... because a backpack would press that large buckle into your back. Even just sitting around in ... uncomfortable because of this buckle. ... great ... if all you plan to do is stand around, or if you don't wear a backpack while you hike in ...
