I''m impressed
I love this ... fabric is soft enough against my skin and warm enough without a jacket. I would wear it for everyday wear or to yoga class. You can dress this ... up with a skirt or go casual with jeans. I'm 5'9', finding tops long enough in the sleeves is hard. The "I spy ... perfect length. I wish there more color choices. I would be buy more of them

Love it
Flattering and comfortable tops are difficult for me to find due to my broad shoulders and 38B/C chest. The I Spy ... got it in black and in XL) is very comfy, simple and stylish. I wear to Yin Yoga and then throw on a pair skinny jeans to meet w/ friends afterward. This is one of my favorite tops.

Cool ...
Liked the idea and look of this ... but was a bit disappointed. I am 5'7" and small on ... - I ordered small and the sleeves are just a touch too short and I would have liked the length on the torso to be a bit longer. I like the color and the open back but really only use it as a post workout ... coverup/warmup ... teaching classes. It could work for any exercise class as long as a supportive ... worn underneath but I don't like to be hot or wear long sleeves when exercising. May be good for outdoor exercise if not too hot or too cold out. One very disappointing thing about the ... itches my skin even after a few washes - not sure if it is the material (?bamboo?) I can't wear anything wool so It may just be my sensitivity but if anyone has that kind of sensitivity they may feel that discomfort and I would imagine it would increase if you wore it while you were exercising and heated up and sweating. Food for thought.

Loved the cut, but had to return
I bought this ... Grey- loved the fit over sassy sports bras or yoga tops with cute straps on the back...BUT the wool blend made it completely un wearable for me. I have somewhat sensitive skin, but I have checked my other clothes and I do have merino blend sweaters that do not bother me. So, I thought that I could leave it on for a few minutes and the itching sensation would go away... Less than 5 minutes later I had it back on the hanger... It took me a month to decide to return it- the good news is though--that I have ordered the sleeveless version in the teelicious material. I hope that works because I loved the ... could not stand the fabric..... We shall see!

Looks very strange on
This looked so cute in the catalog and online, but after trying it on I realized why would I wear a shirt that has a giant hole in the back? It's just strange looking on. I ordered the XXS and it fit nicely except for the length. I am only 5' though. The shirt was too long and so the hole kind of gaped open at the bottom in a strange way & the chest was snug so the fit just looked a little off. If you are thin with a long torso this might work. Is this shirt unique, or is it just a weird idea - I don't know why anyone would go with long sleeve wool if you need that big of a vent for your activity? Gray color very cool & neckline very cool though.

Ehhh...
I wanted to like this ... but it just does not seem to sit right on my rear end. I am 5'8 and usually a size 6 or 8. Maybe it is too long or too big for me. I usually need a medium in tops because i have broad shoulders and that is what i bought.

I really wanted to like this ... But the sleeves were too long and it didn't sit right on the my chest. It seemed to bunch up around the armpits and shoulders. Also, the material is kind of see through and not super great quality. So I returned it. I really wish Athleta would start making petite size tops. We're not all as tall as their models...

Got One, Now I Want More
I am 5'4", 140 lbs, 36-38C. I bought a size Medium. I have had my eye on this rash guard for a few months now, so when it went on sale and combined with the post Thanksgiving savings, I bought it. It came in the mail today as we were on our way to the beach so I was able to try it out right away. The first thing I loved about it was the zipper front. I have been annoyed in the past by other rash guards because the neck feels too confining/tight. The zipper front on this shirt gives you the option to have it up for full protective coverage, or down a bit so you can cool off and breathe a little. The second thing I loved was the length of the arms...it hits a little past the wrist and stays there. Even when I got in the water it didn't move and was very comfortable. Thirdly, the fabric was really nice. A little bit different than your average rash guard, I felt it was a little bit softer and not so slick. Last, I loved that it is longer than other rash guard shirt. They have a tendency to sneak up on you as you're swimming or doing other water things, and this one stayed in place. The temperature when I wore it was 82 degrees with a breeze, and with the long sleeve shirt on, it was really comfortable. I used it for stand up paddle boarding today, and I didn't feel there were any issues with mobility. I got the green and it's a fun color. My husband thought it looked great as well and told me I should get another one in a different color. Hello black rash guard! I'm looking at you next!

Very long
Love the color, love the flattering look for women who don't have a flat stomach, comfortable material. It is very long when extended fully. Long enough to be a short dress. I am 5'8'' and it reached mid thigh on me. I ordered it to wear over my swimsuit on the beach. I think it will work well for that, although it has too much extra material in the waist to make it good for swimming.

Perfect!
I bought this and wasn't really sure on how it would fit. I'm 5'9 and 180lbs. I'm large chested with a long torso. I was pleasantly surprise about this ... have a hard time shopping for any type of ... due to having big breast and a very long torso. So I'm so happy with my new ... my husband loves how it looks also! Great buy.

this ... made for me
I added the long sleeved blue ... my original short sleeved order in white, when I came to the realization that I could wear it over my suit for summer water sports. No matter how much sunscreen I wear, I seem to burn these days, and the long sleeved ... keep the sun off the sensitive places. The fit of the medium is beautiful - I'm a 36 C and it is fitted but not tight on me. The sleeves are nice and long, and the length is adjustable - perfect for my 5'10" body. Can't wait to try it out in the surf.

Excellent and Stylish SPF Clothing
As other reviewers have noted, this does run skin tight across the mid section, so if you want some space there, order a size up. I'm 5'8", about 165 lbs, and small chested, and over the Shirrendipity Halter Bikini ... (medium) and Sporty Shirred Bottom (large), this cover up in large works great. As a shirt, there is some space in the midsection and the ruching and ties look great, and plays up even my small chest. As a dress, it is a bit tight, but since I'm larger on the bottom, that is to be expected. >> What I really bought it for was an emergency cover up and sun "proof" shirt, since my skin burns easily. I wore it for a parade recently and after being in the hot sun for over 6 hours, I did not get any sun burn in places the shirt was covering! Also, despite the long sleeves, this shirt is actually very cool (since it is blocking the sun) and breathes really well (the fabric is very thin and all nylon/spandex), so don't be deterred by the long sleeves if you want full sun protection. The only thing I wish is that they had it in more colors!

I purchased the skirt and matching long sleeve cover up - so cute and love the ability to adjust the length as needed!! This is a very cute outfit and I received numerous compliments! The reviews said it was running small, so I was nervous. It is not - it fits perfectly. I am 5'6" and 142lbs and bought a medium. It looks great to run around after being at the beach or to cover sunburn. It does take longer to dry than expected, so wash it earlier in the day or afternoon.

perfect rashguard!
i looked high and low for a great rashguard before finding this one and i love it!! not only does it provide great sun protection, but it's super cute! i thought my boyfriend was going to hate the fact that i'm choosing to cover up at the beach... but he thinks this guard is super sexy--especially unzipped, because i can show a little cleavage (well sunscreened cleavage, of course)! I normally wear a large, and that's what i got. i was a little concerned that the arms wouldn't be long enough, as i usually need to order tall sizes and this isn't offered in a tall... but the arms are plenty long! i was pleasantly surprised!! also, the other reviewers are correct in saying that it fits skin tight, but that's the style. if you want to go slightly baggy, i'd order up. i'm so pleased with this purchase. thanks athleta!!!

Best Rash Guard out there
I just returned from a family vacation in Maui where I lived in this rash guard. It was perfect for water sports (windsurfing), swimming in the ocean and poolside. I never had to worry about getting too much sun on my body because I was covered. It also looked great on, very stylish. I highly recommend wearing it whenever you find yourself at the beach or at the pool. It also made me feel good when my children were wearing their long sleeve rash guards, that I too had one on...a more stylish one. I usually wear small and ordered an extra small so that it fit tight.

After too many skin cancers for my young age, I needed some sun protection above and beyond the sunscreen I was using. Local stores only had short sleeve. Zipper up front allows for a little sense of fashion. Tight at chest, but not at waist. Looked very long when it arrived, but adjusts for any length. I wear mine right where my bathing suit bottoms start. Very cute. Have not been hot at Florida beaches, not any heavier than bathing suit material. I'm sure as temps rise, I will have to get wet to stay cool, just from wearing long sleeves in full sun. Color is great (aqua color, not sure what they called it.) I rarely take time to review a product, but love this one. Price high but hard to find anything comparable for less.

Looking for a great Maternity Rash Guard? Found it!
In the never ending search for sport specific clothing that will work with a baby belly, I found something that will work on the river. (I would never recommend any pregnant woman to get out on whitewater, without proper training, experience, and doctor approval. There is my disclaimer!) As a long time guide and river enthusiast, I have been unable to find appropriate clothing that will let me row my family down calm waters this summer as my belly grows. This ... great! Long enough to cover all and comfortable as well. I ordered one size up from my normal pre preggo size. I am confident that this ... still work after this baby comes into the world. Great purchase. Love it.

Loving it!
I purchased the pink version of this ... LOVE IT! I got plenty of positive compliments on it as well :) After reading other reviews, i picked the small (instead of the extra small). I use it on the beach to decrease my sun exposure and it is perfect! I was concerned about being hot in this ... long sleeves but I was just right with the San Diego ocean breeze. My only "complaint" is that I wish it came in a petite size as it is really long (when it is completely unruched, it looks like a extremely tight lycra dress that goes down to my tights. Not exactly the look I was going for, ha!). I have a short torso and needs to ruche it all the way up. Highly recommend this ...

Another love!
Although I typically order a small in Athleta clothing, this ... had the look of a cycling jersey, and, since most company's jerseys run small, I went with a medium and couldn't be more pleased (I'm 5'6, 125 lbs). The fit is flattering & long enough in the back for cycling, the material is lightweight, but not flimsy, and there is enough room to wear a layer underneath for cooler weather. The mercury color is really pretty - love the thumb holes, too!

Love it!
Love this ... Very comfortable and sporty. The long sleeves and thumb holes are perfect for my long walks and runs on the beach. As I get older hiding from the sun is a daily struggle. This covers my chest and hands perfectly while keeping me cool.

Great ...
I love this ... bought it for running outside in Alaska in the spring. It keeps me at just the right temperature when I get up to speed. The fabric wicks and breathes really well. I love that it's not fitted around my tummy area too. This is probably one of my favorite tops so far.

Just right
I purchased this ... summertime running - need SPF protection & hate greasy sunscreen. This ... exceeds my expectations. The fit is to size & not too snug. I like the long sleeves & use the thumb openings to cover my hands - didn't think that I'd use them. I will use this ... all my outdoor activities - hiking, gardening & as a swim coverup too. It is functional & even looks good. I will order another one. Thank you Athleta.

I love this shirt and will be perfect to prevent any pinching on St. Pat's Day. The sleeves are nice and long with thumb holes and a reflective strip. The length is nice and long for my 5'9" size. I love the femamine design with the ruching.

It took too long to receive item. So what it was intended for it was not used for. :(

New favorite ...
Great fit, loved the thumb holes, comfy! I loved this ... wore it running with a light long sleeve shirt under it in some cold, windy weather and it was perfect! It doesn't ride up like some tops do. I bought the white one for visibility when running in higher traffic areas. It was great I will probably buy another one.

Love This ...
I am pleased that this is not as heavy as some of my other zip neck running tops. It is soft, silky and clings lightly to the body. It will be perfect for those days when I want sleeves, but just barely. With the attractive ruching it is pretty enough to wear out to lunch. It is a bit longer than some of my other zip necks, but I rather like that. (I am 5'3") The dusty orchid shade is very flattering, by the way.

cool details
The all white color is not as sheer as you would think for such a thin material. i was pleasantly surprised that while you can see tank tops underneath it is rather faint & does not look tacky but the material itself is kind of shiny so i don't know if i will keep. this shirt has a lot of interesting details with the rouching. there is a mesh, breathable material under the arms which is cool. this shirt is long in sleeves and overall length which i don't like, but I'm only 5' and ordered the XXS.

A degree of rouching even I can handle...
I ordered this ... first in the green, but the actually colored was a bit darker than it looked on the website so now have in the lilac. I love the color, the fit is great (long enough for my arms) and the length of the shirt is great (nice and long, but not too). I appreciate the subtleties like thumbholes and the mesh under the armpits. I have only worn it to the gym and running in temps in the 50s, but I have a feeling I could go much colder. Something that is not perfect: the inside of the zipper feels a little rough/itchy on my skin, and I may have to try to address some of those edges. They could have used a slightly softer material for the zipper backing.

Perfect for Running
The thin fabric makes it ideal for running - there is nothing worse than running in cold weather with a heavier running ... starts to feel gross once you're warm because the sweat collects in certain spots and you just feel weighed down and nasty. This is nice and sheer but still keeps any body parts from going numb. Thumb holes are always key - I wish all long sleeve active tops and jackets came with thumb holes and hand mitts, so that is a nice feature. I am 5'4", 140 lbs and I have broad shoulders and a 34DD/32DDD chest. I got a medium, and I probably could have gotten away with a small because of the ruching and stretch but it would have been more fitted and I like to have some room when I run. The white is a little see through but I don't mind because I wear something underneath it all the time, but if you are planning on wearing it solo and don't like the idea of your skin showing through then I would not recommend getting white.
