Love ... capris! ... stripes make me feel like a super hero! What more could a girl ask for?? Unlike other reviewers, I did ... issue with ... riding (up or down) on a 9 mile ... over the weekend. 5'2" 140lbs. Ordered a M and the ... true to ... Maybe others ... longer torso? Also, there is a pocket in the back - ... it's made for ... You've got to ... place for keys, gels, etc. ... if you think ... look cute at the gym for yoga or other activities that would involve you lying on your back...try another pant. It's only flaw is that silly, totally unnecessary piece of extra fabric across the front of the waist. I'm likely to cut it off. I prefer function over form for ... (Though I still like the super hero stripes!)

A happy surprise!
I am ... muscular which makes pant shopping a nasty chore. I'm used to sending products back because of ... issues, ... super! The ... accents are fun, and the waist band doesn't bunch up under sports tops. Being 5'2" the petite ... huge help in getting the right ... fabric is soft and stretchy to move any which way and to be comfortable no matter what the activity.

Fully satisfied and very flattering
I purchased ... despite of the many reviews about the "belly pooch," ... actually found it to be quite cute. Yes, if I'm wearing a tight fitting top over ... might notice a little bit of bulk, ... they're really much more flattering than a typical flat front for anytime you might just be wearing a sports bra or bikini top with ... like in Bikram. I agree with other reviewers that the seams are noticeable against your legs at first, ... rest of the pant more than makes up for it with its cute and flattering seaming (I got grey - which is a nice dark charcoal - and purple). The fabric is really nice ... - while it has mesh cutouts, the pant is a heavy weight material that doesn't make me feel uncomfortable wearing it in public (or ... wearing anything underneath). I'd recommend ... yoga and biking.

I got ... asphalt/green color, and ... pretty! ... look ... they're comfortable, and ... make me feel good while ... only trouble I had was with sizing. To get the real compression I wanted I had to go down a whole ... originally thought of as going down a ... would usually get a M for a leisure pant, for everyday ... sized down to a S. Turns out that to get enough compression I had to ... down even more to an XS! ... now they're perfect!!!!

I was dubious about ... such form fitting ... really like ... fabric is comfortable and the seams are in the right spots to ensure no rubbing or chafing. This is especially important for women with larger thighs - no irritation on longer ... pocket in the small of the back - perfect for a key or ... iPod nano. Overall, I am impressed and I intend to buy another pair!!

Best spinning bottoms
... most comfortable workout pants I've tried for spinning. I hesitated buying ... becuase ... were more expensive than most of the others. I've tried quite a few different brands and styles and finally broke down and orded ... me they're well worth the price and ordered another pair right away. ... just enough padding to add that extra comfort in the seat and really stay in place during the ride. Highly recommend if you spin on a regular basis.

Great Spinning pant
I purchased a pair of ... cycling pants to teach an early morning Spinning class, which seques into a 30-minute core workout. ... wonderful. Great spin pant!
I am a newby to Spinning and I was very intimidated by the "conditioning" your "saddle area" is supposed to get from the seat. ... pants offer a chamois of just the right weight, and a phenomenal supportive fit. The gripper panels (similar to the rubber that is put in a strapless bra to prevent slipping) ensures that the bottom of the pant stays in place. The length hit me just below the knee. It also boasts a flattering, supportive cut with strategic stiching, that does not rub or chafe. Love ... pants, and look forward to taking ... bike rides. I am 5'2 and 155, and a ... large fit perfectly, without a muffin top effect. There's also a nice drawstring for when training begins melting the pounds off of me.

They''re okay
When I first got ... loved ... Unfortunately, after the first wearing, threads started coming off the seams and needed to be trimmed. Like - a LOT of thread. I am sure at some point, this will lead to seams coming apart along the waist area. Also, I have found out the bottom DOES go a bit see through. Hooray! On the up side, ... rather comfortable and the chamois liner does add a little comfort to things. On balance, I will use ... indoor spinning class ... largely in the dark and I always have a bike in the back row) ... not for biking in public. I also paid full price, which is a bit of a blow. I'd not really looked into bike pants at all before buying ... now I would follow the recommendation of other reviewer and say if you are going to spend this much on a pair of ... should just go for Pearl Izumi or some actual bike ... better made and have better features.

Cute and comfy
These capris are perfect for walking along the beach in the surf. They are so comfortable you can walk, run, get wet and dry quickly, and stretch and do yoga at the beginning and end of your exploration. They are also great to pack as they take very little space and don't wrinkle. I bought the dove color and am thinking of purchasing another pair.

Awesome for messy, hot outdoor activities
I love these capris. The ruffle at the bottom is cute without being too cute and gives the capris a little fullness at the bottom which really keeps the top looking trim. I ordered a 2 - I have slim hips and no waist, so this capri is definitely good for someone like me. It's hard for me to find pants because I have 36" hips with a 28 1/2" waist. It does have a tie in the waist, though, that would be usefull for those who have a waist. I'm 5'4" and they were the perfect length. They seemed a little snug when I put them on, but then they REALLY stretched out fast, so if they seem snug, I'd walk around the house in them for ten minutes and check the fit before sending them back for a bigger size. Wore them to Jazz Fest in NOLA and to a swamp boat trip. They are super light weight and wicking. These capris felt and looked much better than the "lawn mowin'" shorts I usually wear to these kinds of outings. Best part was when they got a drink spilled on them ,I just wiped them off and about 5 min later they were fine! ONLY complaint is that I wish the drawstrings on the legs had a toggle on the closure, so that you could wear them pulled tight and not have to refix throughout the day .

great capris
These cute pants just came today. I was so happy that they came in tall. I am 5'9" and like it that they really are capri length. Often capri pants end up being bermuda shorts for me! The material is very lightweight and stretchy. I think they will be greaat for travel. I bought the dolphin color- a little bit drab but will go with everything. I may get in another color.

Great light pant for summer
These are very nice quality, they are supposed to be lightweight. The blue is a pretty color and a nice addition to the usual bottom basic colors. I love them for hot days when I don't want to wear shorts or a skirt. The stretchy fabric is comfy and flattering. You can adjust the flares at the bottom. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for 2 reasons: 1) the drawstring is an elastic loop that just hangs there on the outside; I've knotted them so that they are shorter but it's a bit weird looking, and 2) I'm 5'3" and they barely clear my knee which seems a little ... me. I did go with the P size based on reviews, and they fit great everywhere else - definitely wearing them a lot for reasons mentioned above. But when I get off my bike or up from a chair, I sometimes have to pull them back down over my knees even if cinched.

Love the Light weight Fabric!
I purchased these in both the indigo and the olive color, based on all the good reviews and suggestions to buy two. I am 5'9", usually between a size 4 or size 6, and 140lbs. I had purchased another pant in a size 4T (my first pant purchase with Athleta), only to find that I am definitely more of a 6T with this store, so I purchased these in a 6T, and they fit great! Consistent sizing. The fabric is so buttery soft and light weight! LOVE it! The only reason I gave these 4 stars out of 5 is because the pockets on the sides of the legs and the stitching on the front pockets make my legs look like pillars without much shape.

Worth the hassle?
Overall I really like these shorts. I am 5'8" 140 lbs. and ordered the 10 tall, they were too large so I returned them for a size 8. I wore them once and the zipper broke off in two pieces. I am returning them again for a size 6 and I hope the zipper lasts this time. I do like the thin material for summer and the stretch is greaat. I wish they were a bit longer and that there was a toggle on the bottom so you don't have to tie the cord yourself. I could also do without the pockets on the side. I hope that the third time's a charm!

My new favorite
This really is a cute capri. The detail at the knee hem is fun. I teach Pilates and the fabric stretch and weight are perfect. I am no longer comfortable in shorts and this capri is cool with the perfect amount of coverage.

Definitely cute capri!
Love this pant....I thought I would give it a try despite other reviews that said the fabric was too thin and the elastic at the bottom was awkward...I do find the fabric to be thin, but I like that as it makes the pant more comfortable especially on a warmer day and I didn't find the elastic to be a problem. The loops were long but I just tied them into a knot so they weren't an issue. I did have to return the pant for a different size. Normally, I find that I wear a size 8 in athleta pants/shorts (I have an athletic build--5'3" and 138lbs) but this pant was big on me when I got it so I had to return it for a size 6...the size smaller fits great. Very comfortable and my husband thinks they look cute, too.

Fits the bill
These capris are cute and comfortable. I like them for just hanging out in or running errands. That's what I bought thm for and they will work just fine. Are they the most wonderful capris I've bought? No, but I'm happy with them. Part of the problem, I think, is that I'm ... curvy. I think someone taller and more athletically built would love 'em to death. Don't get me wrong, they aren't unflattering on me, and i like the cut of the cuff, but I just bought some lululemon drawstring capris that I can hardly bear to take off. If I hadn't found them, I might feel more strongly about the Altheta ones.

Cute and Comfortable
I bought this Capri originally because it came in a light color for summer and it looked really cute in the catalogue and online. The upf rating is always a selling point for me so I bought it in dolphin. For the most part I like the pant, except for it runs larger than most of the other capris that Athleta offers so it looks a little bit clowny for my taste. I wear it for hiking but not for everyday running around town. I normally wear a size 2 or XS and like my clothes to be slightly fitted.

Cute capris really are cute!
These are the cutest pants, looked cuter on me than they did in the picture. The blue color is exactly the shade pictured. They are not really 'capri' length on me though; I am 6ft tall and around a 36" inseam and barely covery my knees. I normally wear a size 8T, and the overall fit is nice, but because the fabric is so thin I'm going to try a size 10 as they fit a little too snug in the rear (panty lines). Also, the rise is a little ... have a regular rise. In any case, I'm hoping the 10 will give me a little breathing room and maybe a tiny bit more length. In either case I'm going to enjoy these pants over the summer!

Love how the drawstring works with the hook and button closure -- drawstring is inside and lies flat. The Perfect Hot Weather Capri
LOVE the *stretch *Fit *Fabric Weight* Construction Quality ~ Please offer in a nice chocolate brown and a navy. ... best fitting & nicest fabric capris that i have found in a long time. I am 5'6, longer waist, shorter legs~ a size 4/6 pre baby and now an 8 (slow to lose the baby weight). ... flattering as a sporty capri can be, but it would be nice if the bottom leg had more of a flare/ boot cut, which helps to balance a curvey hip/ thigh. I had some great cotton stretch capris by Danskin Now sold at [...] a few years ago that had a slightly boot cut leg; ... were extremely flattering, but their fabric did not last.These have a very slight flare at the leg, but it could be more and would look more stylish for running around town. The height of the waist was comfortable, no tummy rolls. The price is rather steep,lowered by $15, I would be more likely to buy 3-4 pair instead of 2. ... great every day pant for being athletic or mom active.

Finally, a capri that''s not too baggy
I'm curvy and not too tall, so a baggy capri makes me look and feel dumpy and frumpy. Yet most bermuda ... although more fitted, are a very unflattering length for me. I LOVE the fact that this capri is fitted, like a bermuda ... yet hits below the knee, like a capri. I'm 5' 4.5" and weigh about 143 pounds, and I nearly always wear an 8. That size worked perfectly for me in this pant, too. I just bought this in black at the new SF store, and I plan to order more colors online.

running workout and running errands
Great capris. i'm 5'5" 128 lbs normally a size 4 gap jeans. went up a size (ordered size 6) in ... since i need the hip room and was looking more for comfort. There was ample room in the hips, the waist was a little loose but it has a drawstring so that's fine. also doesn't bind or create muffin top! fabric is great too. great for hiking or just running errands. love all the pockets too. my bff that's 5'2" 135 fit the size 6 just fine too.

Versatile and comfortable - if ... had better colors, I''d buy more.
The only reason I did not give ... 5 stars is because the front pockets are kindof shallow - which seems to be a pattern with a lot of Athleta bottoms. For some reason, ... mesh inside, which makes me think twice about what I put in ... Also, the only back "pocket" is a sliver of a zipped cranny of sorts at the back of the waistband (you'll never know it's there if you don't use it) that is big enough to hold a key or a few bills. I generally won't buy anything without pockets - and useful ones at that. You should be able to put your entire hand in a pocket, and be confident the material will hold whatever you are storing. That aside - I do LOVE ... pants. I'm not a ... person - I like capris and good ones that fall to mid calf (and not lower like some alleged capris) are hard to find. ... pants are very attractive and neat looking, not sloppy looking at all, yet are able to stand up to abuse. The midrise is comfortable and forgiving and the material has a really nice hand - it's really finely woven with built in stretch. The articulated knees and slightly wider, notched leg bottoms are very comfortable. I wore ... pants for a week straight (errends/walks/heavy duty yard work and gardening/cooking/lounging) after I got ... reluctantly put ... laundry. I ordered ... Black and Mercury, and I'm keeping the black one. I'd love to see ... mid blue, aubergine or some medium shade of gray (next year maybe?). The Mercury color, however, is *much* lighter than it appears on the web site, which was a bummer. Definitely not the same great color as my beloved mercury dipper skort (another athleta gem). I really like ... capris! I've gone through a couple of size exchanges, but now I have the perfect one! In all of my other Athleta ... pants, I order a size 6. (I'm 5'5", 135 lbs. with a smaller waist and larger hips. I constantly have issues with the waist gaping open on ... hips fit well.) All of my other size 6 Athleta ... fit my waist and hips very well. However, the commuter capris were simply too large. Even with the inner drawstring, the waist was too big. I would recommend seriously considering ordering ... 1 size smaller than you typically would. I now have 2 colors in a size 4, and ... fit perfectly!

Another close to perfect buy from Athleta!
I order without hesitation from Athleta. I know I'm a size 10 in the winter and an 8 in the summer (5'5" 135-140). Thse capris fit great and the stretch is perfect for bending, running, and scootching with the dogs and kiddos. Bonus: panties don't show when in a deep bend or squat because the waistband hugs nicely! The deep olive is perfect as a new neutral. I might get the "mercury" too. Bought at full price--if ... were a bit less, they'd get a full 5 stars.

First let me say that I love ... 'tights'. To me, ... pants, ... form fitting down to the knees, so I guess that makes ... tights, with a straight leg. Anyway, I bought THREE pairs of ... 1 year ago in ... M Petite. Each pair says 'MP' on ... However, two of ... actual petite inseam length of 28 & 1/2, and the other pair is the regular inseam length of 31 & 1/2. I measured all three of ... measuring tape, because I noticed immediately upon wearing ... one was longer than the other two. So Athleta, WATCH your INSEAMS! I obviously got a pair that was mislabeled. With that said, I do like the longer ones better, so I find myself wearing that pair way more than the other two. So I guess I benefited from Athleta's mistake, ... mistake nonetheless. I will order a couple more pair, ... 'regular' inseam length this time, and hope that ... correct. Great pants - no cramping around the waist
My chronic issue with running leggings is that ... so dang tight around the waist. Not ... guys. All the tightness is in the legs, but it's actually loose around the waist, so it feels really good. I went running in ... other day and felt both cute and comfy - which is a rarity for me when it comes to exercise clothing! Really, really recommend ... leggings to anyone. But I do recommend ordering a size bigger - I am a size 4 and I love my Mediums.

This is my first purchase with Athleta and I'm happy to say it will be the first of MANY. Ordering on line always makes me a bit nervous, "Ey dios, what if it doesn't fit. Then I have to return it thru the mail, it’ll be a hassle." You know the standard worries. Let me just start my saying, I'm 33 years old and six feet tall my lifelong fallback has been men’s running gear which never fits well. My New Favorite
I tried ... tights this year because my old Asics were finally worn out and I am glad I took a chance. ... do run slightly loose so if you want compression fit, size down, like it says to do in the catalog. That being said, I did not size down and ... fit snugly enough to run in and do not fall down. ... perfect length and rise, in my opinion, for running, just below the navel. The fabric is really nice, not too light and not too heavy and they're the most comfortable of all I've tried. ... work really well with the CYA skirt for running, and with snow boots plus CYA skirt for a ski trip, to walk around the ski village or out to dinner etc. I got the medium and am 5'71/2" 155 lbs very muscular. I took off a star for the gusset; it's oddly placed and the point where 3 seams meet is just under some tender real estate and rubs there in an irritating way. No biggie, I just wear panties for protection.

As for the infamous crotch issues that were mentioned in other reviews, I totally understand what ... were talking about! The padding is ... thin to really cushion for a lengthy bike ride, yet it is bulky enough to create excess fabric that pulls and gathers weirdly in the crotch. And the outer fabric that covers the inner padding is a little loose, ... bunches up and adds to the problem. It isn't awful, just odd. On the bright side, the fabric is nice (thick enough that underwear lines don't really show) and wicks moisture well. Because the padding is ... very thick, you could wear ... run or a general workout. I ... needed to use the inner pocket yet, ... seems like it would easily fit a key/ID/$. And this isn't a dealbreaker, because I know it's going to come off eventually, ... wore ... once to spin class and already the little circular Athleta decal was coming off the leg. I hadn't even washed ... yet! (Which reminds me... wash before wearing, the black dye came off on ... undies and crotch!)

A keeper
These ... good all purpose ... if you are active. Within a week of receiving them I wore them biking, running and to the gym. I am 5"9' and 135 pounds and ordered both the small and medium. The medium was big so I kept the small. ... not to tight all all. I can wear them with a cute jacket to my kids practices and not feel self conscious. The pockets on the back help your bum looking its best.

Best yoga/dance ...
I love these ... Even at the price, I will surely buy more because I just do not find ... like very often and I could live in these in warm weather. I dance, teach yoga and pilates, and would wear these for all three and just around town running errands. (I pretty much live in workout clothes.) I wear a size 6 in pants normally and ordered the medium since other reviewers said ... run small, and I'd agree because the medium seems to fit great (where I have the Bettona Bermuda from Athleta in a small). These do fit looser than the Bettona, though. I like the little pocket flaps on the back and don't really think ... add anything to your butt as others have said. (I do have a larger butt, too, compared to my waist but maybe I have just come to appreciate showing off my curves.) If you want to look like you have a flat rear, probably not for you, but if you like to show off curves (or are trying to create curves where you have little), probably a good choice!

Modest yet functional
I was looking for something to run in that doesn't feel indecent. I'm thin and in good shape but just prefer to be covered if at all possible (not an easy feat in running ... Rise is a litter lower than I prefer. ... shift a little while running, but what doesn't. Overall the ... look great and the pockets make them a little less casual than most yoga type ... fabric is nice and wicks well. ... run pretty true to most Athleta bottoms. I usually wear a 0/00 and ordered a XS but could have probably used a XXS for a more snug fit.

LOVE THE FABRIC
This was my first purchase from Athleta and when I first put them on, wasn't sure if I would keep them because I am alittle "hippy" and I thought the wide leg accentuated that area. However, I decided to work out in them and see and I absolutely LOVE them. Fabric is great. I sweat alot and then go run errands after a workout. These pants moved well during my workout, didn't not "bunch" or ride up when doing squats, lunges. I did not feel wet and sticky after my workout or even running around afterwards in this Florida heat. I bought them in black and will probably get a few more colors. Length is perfect also, since I do not like to wear ...

So I have to agree with the reviewers who said these ... ride up. My Hips are a little big and does not help with the riding problem since the bottoms like to ride up to my natural waist line and ... lowe rise. I ordered 3 pairs and love the feel of them. I have big thighs so don't need to worrie about the legs being too wide. I am 5'2" and 126 lbs and work out 2-3 times a day (runing, Tae kwon do, yoga, jazzercie and weight training) don't really have to stop running to pull them down but when I have finished my 3-4 mile run that is the first thing I do. If I am doing jazzercise I do have to pull them down at least once in my work out. Great for th Gym. Not a horrible ... would reccomend to try them out for your body type.

I bought these ... because I have a few pairs I bought a few years ago that I love. The new styling is a bit longer, which I don't like, and the legs seem wider. Still, I like the back pocket flaps and the ... works will for the gym and everyday running around.

Great shorts!
I'm a woman with strong thighs and as such a lot of shorts make them look too big. These flatter. I love the material very comfortable and light weight. I'm 5'6" and a size 6 and they fit perfect. I've been wearing them around for everyday things, but I can't wait to wear when surfing. The design of the pockets allows for water to run out. These would be great for running too!

Great Shorts!
I'm 5"9 and 133 lbs. I ordered the size 6 (I've had problems in the past with Athleta pants running small) and the 6 is a little large but the drawstring waist keeps them in place. The shorts are very stretchy which makes them look like they ft snuggly but actually they feel loose and comfy. I washed them for the first time last night and the color (green) stayed true ... they accidently went through the dryer and came out looking brand new. I'm taking them on a 5 day camping trip and am very confident they will perform perfectly!!

The perfect pair of shorts for ... athletic women
I am 52 years old, 5'1", athletic, 130 lbs but muscular. I fit into a size 2. I read through the reviews and saw the trend of these shorts running on the large side. I usually take a 4, and these size 2's fit me like a 4 so take heed! These shorts are nothing but flattering even for a woman of my age. Most shorts are either too ... too long. I want to show off my legs but not hang out of my shorts, and these do the trick. You do have to have a rather flat behind, however, so be forewarned. I wish the other colors were available in my size!

Finally, shorts that fit!
Have trouble finding shorts that fit well that are not all stretch; needed something for when I am not teaching fitness, training outside on the bike or running, REAL clothes! Junior sizes too ... tight; not age appropriate, women's, too large! These will work well, ordered the bermuda length also. Love that Athleta caters to an athletic women's body type, which is not the norm in the stores.

My favorite shorts
I love these shorts. They are so comfortable yet attractive and flattering. I own 3 pair of them. They do run large. I nornally wear a 6 in Athleta clothes but I needed a 4 in these. The 4 is very comfortable not tight in the least bit. I am 5'6", 130 pounds, athletic build. For comparision purposes, I wear a 6 in the Downward Dipper pants. I wear these for running around, hiking and camping. They seem to never show dirt or get noticeably stretched out. While camping, I just rinse them in a little water then hang on a branch to dry. Within no time they are ready to wear. I did not care for the belt so I easily removed it. If Athleta makes more colors, I will buy those as well. I also have the bermuda length and I think the shorter ones are much more attractive. The length is perfect, not too ... not too long. While I was backpacking in the Grand Canyon, one of the river rafters told me that she has a pair that she loves. Also got asked by a female park ranger, what brand they were cause she liked them so well and thought they would be perfect for work. Unfortunately she must have belt loops and these don't have them. Also, I recall seeing some negative comments about the zippered pockets. I personally think they are great. The interior pocket is made of mesh so they dry quickly and don't add any bulk. The zipper pulls lay flat and don't look unsightly underneath shirts.

These shorts fit my muscular thighs (lift 5x/week) well. Extremely comfortable. Easy care. Travels well. Wear them for hiking, traveling and everyday activities. Don't think I'd wear them to the gym or running; I prefer snug clothing for those activities.

Perfect summer shorts
These shorts are great- they are not too ... just loose enough. I have found that all Athleta clothing fits me just right, maybe slightly loose but pretty true to size. If you are giving kids a bath or running through the sprinkler, these shorts would dry in 5 minutes- perfect for the hottest days!

great material, nice look
After reading the other reviews stating that they ran a little large, I purchased a size 4 instead of my normal 6. They fit well and were still roomy enough to move around. This is an active looking ... lots of pockets and cute details. I wear them for walking, running errands, etc. I haven't had a chance to try them out in the water. The dark greenish color is pretty neutral and goes with everything. You will love the material. It moves nicely and isn't flimsy - seems very well constructed. There is a draw string so you can make them tighter if you need it. Even though I am by no means skinny, I needed to pull in the drawstring a little. If you are a thin woman, you may want to consider going down 2 sizes. The shorts look like they will last a long time. I paid full price and was hesitant but am very pleased with the quality of the shorts and if these EVER go on sale, I'm buying multiple pairs!

Great casual shorts!
These shorts are great for general summer activities, whether you get a little wet or not. They dry quickly when damp, are lightweight, and have an easy fit. The waist is generously sized (I'm normally a size 4 in Athleta, and the waist was loose fitting), but everything else fits true to size. The shorts are a bit too casual for dinner in all but the most informal restaurants, but they are great for running around in the summer.

Breeze Shorts
These were not as low rise as expected, which was good! I am 41, and 5'5" and I weigh 155. I am an apple, and long waisted. I bought these in a 12 and a 14 as most places run small. The 12 was perfect. They rested right on my hip, just a finger below my belly button. They did NOT cut me in the crotch, which a lot of pants/shorts do. This was a welcome surprise. The material is soft and opaque. I am going to Disney in a week with my extended family, niece and nephews. We will be doing a lot of running around and water parks and such. I wanted full action coverage and I got it, without feeling inappropriate for my age. My touche is nowhere close to hanging out of the bottom of these shorts. I will see how they hold up in the water. I bought the turquoise and green pair to match three different swim tops and I bought two different bikini bottoms to line these shorts. I think these will be perfect for kayaking when we get back too!

Cute shorts for everyday wear
I purchased these shorts not for workout, but for everyday wear. The fit is cute and flattering. My mom tried them on as well - she has a smaller waist than me, larger hips than me and bigger thighs. They were flattering on her too. These shorts would not be good workout shorts for me (running, yoga, walking). However, they are comfortable and perfect for everyday wear. The lightweight, stretchy fabric makes them great for hot weather. I have not tried them in the water. I think the length is just right - long enough to cover everything, but ... enough to show off those legs.

I've been looking for ... long time....I finally found some that look great and are comfortable. I am 5'4", 140lbs, have a pear shape and am fairly muscular so ... pants tend to be too tight in ... thighs and big in ... waist ... perfect and have just the right amount of stretch to be super comfy. The length is very flattering for ... muscley legs. ... wash great and don't wrinkle too much. I ended up ordering 2 more after I got the first ones! Love the stitching accents as well.

LOVE ...
Great ... everyday wear. Lightweight twill with a bit of stretch. 5'5", 109 with 27" waist and 36.5" hips. ... 2 fits perfectly if I cinch in the waist just a tiny bit with the internal drawstring. What the others are complaining about is exactly why I love Athleta. I do have a more athletic build and can't seem to find clothes to fit in any of the regular retail stores or other online vendors. Finally a company that caters to women like me.

Not feeling the love on ...
I bought the white and grey in ... normal ... 8 and ... fit fine ... small pockets in the back won't look good on many butts unless you are very athletic or have a body builder-type shape like the model. Which begs the question - why is Athleta always using the same model to show pants and not regular ... women?Another con is if you sit for long perods, the fabric wrinkles and tends to ride up which bugs the you know-what out of me! .

Just okay...
... sister, friend and I all purchased ... sizes 6, 10 and 12 . I tried every one of ... found the 8 which is ... normal ... have the best fit, ... small pockets in the back ruin the pants for us! We are all in very good shape ... small pockets made our behinds look flat and very unattractive. Athleta seems to design pants for body builder type women (i.e. the model ... always use) and forget that average women do NOT have muscles and tightness like ... We have junk in the trunk, flat and round bottoms, thin or large thighs, etc. We don't want pants that make our bums look bigger or flatter. If ... could just get that, and design appropriately, then maybe we wouldn't complain so much and ... would have more customers buying their clothes!

I really love these ... purchased them in blue first and liked them so much I ordered the rose colored ones. Both colors are beautiful. The ... so comfortable. ... run true to size too. These ... do seem to run a little bit big. I am 5'7", 127 lbs, and the 2 fits me perfectly with a little room to spare. If I wanted to wear them to look fitted/slightly tight (how I usually wear my clothes), they would be too big. But I bought them for hiking and traveling overseas, so a little extra room is perfect. This is my first time shopping at Athleta, but in the other clothes I bought, the 2 was usually too small and 4 fit well except these ... 2 was perfect. They are not low cut but also not high waisted, and the fabric is really soft. I am about to order a second color. The zipper pockets are great if you have an ID, passport, hotel key, etc. to keep safe, and the little cargo pockets in front & back can carry non valuables or bigger stuff. I think the roll up is cute but I could see how it could make some women's legs rub together (this is not an issue with me). Rolled up they are ... enough for comfort but still have more than enough coverage of your butt/upper thigh. Overall, I am very pleased!

Terrific All Around ...
I finally found the ... I've been looking for. The length, material, style, perfect. And the colors are a nice variety. I love the lighter weight material and perfect length. The only note I would make, and it's not a knock, is go a size higher, as ... seem to run a little tighter through the hips and rear. Normally I wear a 10 in ... 10 would have worked, but the 12 was much more comfortable. I would order just 1 size up from what you normally wear, and trust mr, you'll buy more than 1 pair, I know I will.

Great ...
I have a hard time finding ... not too long but are not too ... These are just right. I like them rolled up. I ordered a size 6 and they were too big so exchanged them for a size 4, they fit perfect! So, I ordered another pair in a different color. I'm 5'6 and weigh 132, 44 yrs old and have an athletic build. I followed the size chart and was between the 4 and 6. So if you fall between 2 sizes go smaller. These are great for running errands and hiking. Love them.

Nice every day ... but sizing varies greatly.
I first bought these ... pink color. ... were looser than I expected, which for me is not a bad thing since my thighs are bigger and semi fitted can be unflattering. I ordered a size 4. I am 5'3" and 120lbs with thicker legs... I am a standard small in Athleta bottoms. So, I ordered the blue and find these quite a bit smaller despite being the same size. Still, I would say ... run loose for semi fitted. The length is good with the cuffs rolled up. Nice blue color. Mid weight fabric. Good buy for casual ...

... run large!
These are great ... NEVER wear a 12 in today's sizing, but I measured and went with the size chart. The ... came just hung off of me and I could hold them out four inches from my body like a before and after photo. Should have ordered a 10 or maybe even an 8. Also, there was no option on the return label to exchange for another size. Just have to return and reorder I guess. Not very efficient.

Loved the ... hate the zipper pockets
The ... fit great and work perfect for what I purchased them for, vacationing and running errands around town. I read in other reviews that legs are too wide. They are wide, however I have muscular thighs and most of the time ... fit my hips and rear are tight around my thighs. This was a nice change. I wear them rolled or unrolled depends on where I'm going. The only part that was inconvenient was the zipper pockets. I like to put my phone in my pocket and the zippers are sharp. If you can get past that then the ... great.

Runs quite large
After seeing a previous reviewer who sounded thinner than I am, I ordered the same size -- a 0. I am 5'2" and about 115lb, but these ... were really baggy. Cinching ... fit with the drawstring when ... large is too uncomfortable and the ... looked too sloppy anyway. Too bad because the style is cute and gray is a nice departure from the regular khakis. One note, the fabric is pretty see through when wet. I tested a small spot and I think I would have been very self conscious slipping these on over a wet swimsuit or other like situation.

LOVE these shorts!
I have a tough time finding shorts that I like. I decided to try these (even though they are expensive for shorts) and am very happy I did. I got the dark olive color, and it is a very rich color, almost a cross between olive and brown -- great color, will match a lot of different colored tops. They are a very comfortable fit (I find sometimes that shorts hug my booty a little too tightly). They are also a good rise -- not too low. They are a sturdy material, a little on the thick side, but hold their shape very well. The silver loops on the waist are super cute. I am usually a pretty solid size 4, which is what I ordered. They are perfect for what I was looking for. They may run slightly larger than sized, but are extremely comfortable for every day shorts. I'll wear these until it is freezing cold outside, then will gladly pull them out again in the spring. I think I'm going order another color. I love the detail Athleta puts on little things, like the clear buttons on the pockets and the waist with a floral logo. These shorts seem to be very well made. Side pockets are not too bulky (I always worry about that with cargo shorts) and are really cute and also functional. I am 5'6 and these are about 3 inches above my knee.

Work Horse ...
I love these ... Great weight material, great colors (I have both the Haystack and the blue - love them both!) I have been wearing size 6 for a while now in Athleta and most other clothes. I'm 5'3" 124 lbs., very balanced build, maybe a little shorter in torso, longer in legs. Size 6 in this ... clownish on me, so returned for size 4 - still plenty big, loose, comfy and tie in waist helps keep 'em up. If they were sexy ... I'm sure I could go for a 2 with a snug fit, but they are NOT sexy ... practical, comfortable, good for all sorts of outdoor activities. Durable and fun, highly recommended! They wash up great, no ironing needed, and my cargo pockets are laying flat! My energy level rises as soon as I put them on! Depending on your build, like me, you might try ordering a size down. They do seem to run big!

love these shorts!
I bought these shorts in the haystack color, which is really cool, sort of a mustardy yellow. But I liked them so much I also got the olive, which is a nice brownish green color. The fabric is very soft and comfy, but rugged enough for hiking and sitting on rocks. Love the length--just above the knee. The shorts fit really well and don't look at all dowdy, which is how most bermudas look on me. I bought them in a 4, my usual size, and they are a little loose; I suppose I could have fit into a 2, but I don't like shorts to be tight (like I do jeans). And, I can always tighten up the drawstring if I want them tighter. All in all, a great pair of shorts! (Btw, I bought them on sale, but these shorts are worth the original price.)

LOVE
I love these! I love all the pockets because I run at work, and can store my badge in one pocket, and my phone or ipod in another. There are a total of five pockets - two in front, two in back, and an additional zip pocket in back. A size medium fit me very well and I normally wear a size 10 in Athleta clothing. The length was quite ... - so much so that I got some commentary from a passing truck! But not indecent - it just looks like a mini skirt. I think if I had been running, no one would have said anything but at that point I had slowed down to a walk. Totally in love with these and want to wear them every day for my runs!

I love these shorts and I love the nice bright summer color. I bought them because I love my Kick It pants and wanted a pair of shorts. Both the pants and shorts are super comfortable and have great features like lot's of pockets, the inner draw string cord to get the perfect fit and the funky belt loops that add a nice touch of style. The shorts and pants are perfect for everyday wear. I do not use them for exercising since they are made of pretty heavy cotton but on cooler dyays they would be ideal for a walk in the woods or beach. One inconsistency is the sizing. They run generous. I bought the pants in size 2 and they fit just right but size 2 in the shorts was huge so I had to exchange for the next size down. I was worried the next size down would be too small or a little tight but they are plenty generous in the fit. I LOVE both the pants and the shorts. Maybe try a size smaller than you usually wear in the shorts.

AWESOME shorts!
Let me preface this review with "I am not a shorts person!" Yet, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these shorts!!! I ordered the kickit shorts and the skirt thinking that I was going to like the skirt more -but these shorts are awesome! They're comfortable in all the right places! The pocket on the leg adds some character to the shorts and doesn't add much bulk at all (no feared saddlebags). The length is right above the knee. The drawstring is much needed - I love that about a lot of Athleta pants! (I miss it when other pants don't have them!) I purchased 3 pairs I liked them so much - white, olive and blue. I'm a smaller size in the shorts than I am in the skirt (but I think that the waist in the skirt is on the smaller side.)

Love the length
Finally a pair of shorts that I think look good on me. Either you find ... frumpy ... These ... perfect for a 40 year old. They are sporty and I love where they hit me on the waist. I normally wear a medium, size 4 in these ... fit perfectly. I do a lot of yard work so the pockets are great to hold miscellaneous tools.

Love these shorts.
These are heavy weight and very comfortable. I saw they were running large, I usually wear a 6, so I ordered a 4 and they fit pretty good. I am also ordering another pair in a 2 for a more neat and trim look. In other words the 4 was kinda big on me too. I still love them though. I have washed them too and they come out well.

Not your mother''s Bermudas!
I will wear these shorts until they fall apart! I love the fit and the longer length is perfect for the mamas who really shouldn't be rocking the Daisy Dukes any longer. These are seriously cool and the trendy cargo pockets and grommet details are fun. They will be great for hiking, hanging out and running errands.

These shorts are super cute on and very comfortable. Love the styling and the pockets. I am a fit mom and they are perfect for running around everywhere with my kids. They are on the heavier side, but our NW summers are never that hot so they will be perfect for lots of fun activiites. I am 5'6" and weigh 132. The 8 fits great, I could probably do the 6 but don't like anything form fitting. The olive is a bit darker than what I was hoping for but I still like it. After getting these in the email, I ordered the funky yellow right away and I love that too. Will be a good color change from all my olive, brown and black bottoms.

Almost a 10
I really like the Kickit Bermuda for everyday running and hanging around. The length is exactly what I was looking for. I am normally a size 8 -- but had to take a 6 in these shorts. Athleta makes returns and exhcanges very easy so that wasn't a big deal. However, the size 6 in the blue fits perfect, and the 6 in the white is just a tad big. I've decided to keep them anyway because I wanted a white ... am going to try and shrink it with a hot wash. Overall, love the ...
