I bought ... upcoming marathon, and was skeptical since they're priced a little higher than I typically pay for running ... However, ... exceeded my expectations and are definitely worth the money! ... lightest ... own and are perfect for running--lightweight, don't ride up, don't chafe anywhere on the legs. The only complaint I have is that there isn't a larger pocket somewhere (only a small key pocket in the front inside of the ... perhaps a zip pocket in the back would be nice. I'm 5'6" 130lbs, size 4, size small in the Nike running ... ordered a small and ... fit perfectly. I probably would be fine in an xs as well, as ... do run a little bigger and longer than the Nike ... but I was happy with the small. If you like your ... little smaller/tighter, order a size down.

Best ... Ever!
It has been a while since I invested in some really nice running ... But I do think you are more motivated to get out there and exercise if you have a cute outfit! I last got nice running ... 2000 when I was training for a marathon and was still wearing them. My old ... seem so primitive next to the Hana Run ... rise on the Hana is perfect, the material is soft, comfy and wicks beautifully. ... look really nice on and feel even better. I had been getting by on ... [...], but ... suck compared to my new favourites. I have them in the pink and purple and love the bright colours. I am going to buy more!

very cute
I haven't used ... yet, so I cannot speak to how ... perform, but ... look cute and fit very well! I have purchased Nike tempo ... years, but I noticed that the pair I purchased recently (same size I have always bought) are cut much bigger and baggier than my oldest pairs of tempo ... feel like I am wearing a diaper!! ... new Athleta ... more streamlined and flattering. I think I have found my new go to running ... like the pattern at the bottom of the ... -- cute and distinctive -- and I like the white stripe along the top. I find the length typical for running ... comparable to the Nike tempo. As far as size, I have always bought the Small in the Nike tempo but purchased the XS in the Hana Run ... exactly the right choice. Great ...

I'm a difficult fit for ... Either the rise is too long or the ... boxy and look like a diaper on me. ... were perfect! The rise is appropriate, not too long and the fit is comfortable and flattering. Finally a pair of ... can run in and look good in! I'm 5'4 and I ordered a small; ... fit me great!

great ... - blow NIKE out of the competiton
I've always worn NIKE running ... primarily because even though I am 5'8 and weigh 138 lbs. I can't wear most running ... out there on the market. ... incredibly small...in fact, most running ... sized for only those women who are under 120lbs, no matter what your fitness level. NIKE ... roomy and look good so I've been a pretty loyal customer...that is until I tried ... also roomy, but look slimming on, move great when you run, don't bunch up or pull,, and ... really really cute! I am a new convert!

Thank goodness for reviews! I don't usually write them, but the reviews for ... helped me SO much! I am usually a medium to large in most ... After reading the reviews, I decided (very hesitantly) to get the small. So glad I did. I am 5'7 and 142 lbs. My legs are a little thicker from years of soccer, and most currently running. I have had issues with running ... not being wide enough on the bottom for my thighs. ... fit the bill. I only gave 4/5 stars because as awesome and comfortable as ... my 9 mile run they began to ride up a bit. I hate having to reach down awkwardly when I am running to tug on ... say, the first thing I do with all ... "panties" is cut them out. This may have contributed to the riding. I cannot stand underwear in ... just a personal thing. Regardless, the ... adorable on, I have them in 3 colors now. Last, for stretching, and doing things like kicks, or lunges and squats, ... move a little too much, and do not provide the coverage I prefer. I hate bending over, or lunging, and feeling like a cheek may be peeking out. I will just wear longer ... wear comprehension ... under for those workouts. Sorry for the long review, the other ones helped me decide so much, I wanted to attempt to return the favor! Happy hunting and shopping! If you are doubting how large the sizes run, I promise you, GO A SIZE SMALLER than you normally would!

Good looking, great performing ...
Love the fabric, love the fit. Love the graphics!! Still do not understand why women's clothing is not allowed to have pockets. Would love to find some running ... could hold a key AND a music player or phone. Maybe 2 key sized pockets?? ... great for running, and I agree with others that the fabric is super smooth and does not chafe.

Good, but...
I run in the blistering heat of north Florida and I expect my ... go the distance with me. ... fit really comfortably and have a nice, light liner with a handy key pocket. my issue with ... hold the sweat and start to bunch up between my thighs as I rack up the miles. I am a petite person and don't have especially large legs. I find it embarrassing and uncomfortable to keep having to pull my ... down between my legs. Yes, cheaper ... like the Champion brand sold by [...] are not nearly as soft, but stiff fabric holds it shape and does not ride up. ... expensive ... should perform better for the money.

Not stretchy
... okay ... brief inside is very well constructed. I usually wear a large but ... were very baggy and boxy. I would go down to a medium. The biggest thing I didn't realize is that they're not stretchy like I would think most running ... should be. ... don't give and ... bit constrictive. ... like lightweight board ... but not really run ... might keep one pair for the gym, good for crossfit etc, but not extensive running I'd say. Sometimes it's hard to tell what athletas fabrics are going to be like/feel like.

Love the old ... not ... new ones
I've had three pairs of ... over a year, and have loved the fit of all three. My husband bought me a new pair, which we had to wait two months to receive because the ... were out of stock. The new ... size medium, are two inches wider and one inch longer than my old pairs. Will send back and get a size small to see if the fit is better, as I'm hoping the vendor that makes ... hasn't screwed up the sizing of what I think are the most comfortable running ... I've ever owned!

I also got the Hana Run ... love both of ... equally. This ... has a well placed pocket in the back. I don't hardly notice ... keys or a nutrition bar back there when I run. I like that ... heavier material than Hana Run ... because ... don't look so much like official running ... Bottom line - I love both run ... plan to buy more of each of ... ... really cute and a little flare to the average running ... am 5'3'' 134 lbs. and I originally ordered the small ... pulled ... tight across the front - I could ... gotten away with wearing ... just didn't fit right maybe 5-8 lbs lighter and ... would ... worked. So I exchanged the small for the medium which is just a little ... big - I am keeping ... definitely bigger than any other running ... wear. Also since all ... running ... liners I usually don't wear underwear with ... while I'm running and I ... found that ... weird way of rubbing me that might prevent me from wearing ... 1/2 marathon length run. I guess if ... weren't so cute I probably wouldn't ... kept ... it's nice to put on something that isn't ugly when I go running.

Pretty good running ...
Overall, I like this pair of running ... light weight and move freely when I run. I was expecting a little more structure to the ... catalog picture, it seems as though the ... little stiffer than ... really are) and think the fabric is a little flimsy, which is why I knocked the rating down a star. Other than this, the ... nice and comfortable to run in. I don't ... problem with ... riding up on me.

Great ... blew it with the inner liner
... SO cute, fit nicely, fun colors and the perfect lightweight and silky material. ... inner liner - the one that all running ... built in - wasn't designed right! The first ... got were so bad that I literally had to wear regular underwear underneath ... Sort of defeats the purpose of the liner, doesn't it? I thought maybe I just got a defective pair of ... know, irregular or got sewn wrong by mistake. So I ordered another in a different color. ... somewhat better, ... still ... pin the liner to keep it from creeping up. Every other ... maker - probably a hundred different brands - has figured out how to make a little elastic liner that fits snugly and properly, it can't be rocket science. Why this particular ... maker couldn't get that simple detail right, I just don't understand. Obviously am disappointed, ... wear ... pinned (or with underwear) because they're very cute.

I got ... wear under the bra cup dress I got - simultaneously purchased. ... comfy, and what I ... found is that ... perfect length, fit and compression to wear to run, do aerobics, zumba, you name it. At 5'8", wearing a small, sometimes the ... too ... revealing more of ... assets than I want everyone to see, ... length on this pair is perfect and it doesn't squash ... thighs to the point where the inner thigh has the blob factor at the bottom. I will definitely be ordering more for ... outdoor summer runs.

Comfortable, flattering ...

Unfortunately, ... don't hold their shape in hot yoga class, once ... damp with sweat; then ... don't stay in place on me very well through the vigorous Bikram sequences. (Kickbooty ... not quite as soft or flattering to me when dry, are a better option for Bikram yoga.)

I bought ... wear under ... tennis dresses and was very pleased. The waste band is wide and doesn't cause any tummy bulge. ... stay in place without being too tight. The legs do ride up, ... think all lycra ... do that if you're not stick thin. I ... large thighs and ... don't dig into ... do hold the tennis ball without slipping. I would recommend ... other tennis players. I am 5'8", 155 pounds and typically a medium to large in ... skorts, or a 8-10, and the large fit well. I think the medium would've been too tight.

I bought it for running, ... found that the shorter length caused the legs to roll up while I ran causing it to be very uncomfortable. ... goal was something different then the loose running ... allowed for chafing (living in the tropics) It might be different for someone with a straighter leg - I've got some curve to ... thighs. I'm going to try it out with a yoga practice and see if the rolling happens, otherwise I think it would be great to sleep in. I would love the same ... longer length.

Too sheer in white
I ordered ... because I wanted white ... run in. Alas, ... were way too sheer! You can't wear underwear under ... if you don't, they're a bit scandalous! ... also seemed to run a little small. I'm 5'6", ~130 lbs and ordered the medium. The medium kickbooty ... fit me perfect. If you want ... wear underneath a dress then ... would probably be very nice.

I ordered ... XXS. In Athleta bottoms, I ... anything between XXS and S (100 lbs. 5'). ... were ... tight, and had to be exchanged for an XS, which is a better ... waist. There is some extra fabric in the front area, and the bottoms flare out a bit, ... sure how I feel about ... yet. Wish the Fusion ... came in some more fun colors, rather than ... basics!

Showing off my legs
I was reluctant to try ... but the hot yoga class I've been taking is just too hot for pants and capris, so I tried the kickbooty ... SO surprised! I was totally comfortable in these ... they did not ride up at all, and I actually thought my legs (which I seldom expose) looked pretty good intthem. I wore baggy pants to cover up but took the pants off at home and felt very comfortable walking around the house in them,, too. I'm very glad I got these ...

Perfect for Bikram yoga
These ... perfect for Bikram yoga. They don't get all bunched up and wet like cotton ... They stay in place and are flattering in the butt. Best of all, they are not ... like a lot of other Bikram yoga ... PLEASE add more colors!!

these ... really work for me
i got these for yoga and though i don't do hot yoga, i like ... rather than leggings for warmer days. the ... also good for indoor (gym) climbing and for quick bike rides around town. i don't know about the riding up problem since i haven't run in them. they are a perfect fit for me and i love the 5" inseam. i've had shorter and longer ... past and these are a great balance, and they're neither too tight nor too loose. i'm a tall ish size 6 or 8 in athleta, so the medium is wonderful. the waist rise is just right and the wide waistband is comfy and very flattering. the seams on the backside make my butt look better too. and i'm really glad for the "dress blue" since i'm so tired of black and gray (and the pink isn't hot enough for me, a little bubble gummy in my opinion). i would love to see other bright colors, as i'm a bit top heavy and darker pants make me look like i've got no hips or butt at all. not everyone wants the slimming dark look on the bottom. the fabric is substantial enough and i'm sure it will hold up well in the wash (and air dry since we don't have a dryer anyway). nice design which seems to be worth paying full price for.

I bought them simply for the blue color to pair with a favorite running tank of another brand. These ... super comfortable. All of my criticisms are based on the fact that I use them for running, and not yoga, like they could use zipper pocket in the back or a drawstring at the waist and the thighs do ride up a bit, but not so much as to make me chafe. None of these would apply if I used the ... yoga, though. I like that they're a bit longer than other typical yoga ... They're a keeper.

I never want to wear regular running ... again!
I needed a new pair of running ... thought I'd try something a little different, since I have a similar pair of calf length pants from Athleta that I really like for the gym or cooler weather runs. I'm always leery of "bike ... styles, since my upper thighs are not particularly thin, but I wanted to give these a shot - and I'm so glad I did, because I love them! The hem seams aren't overly tight the way a lot of bike ... so they're flattering even if you don't have the legs of a professional volleyball player. They're long enough to be comfortable without me wanting to tug them down every minute and the overall style is flattering from all angles. I marked them as too big/loose because they do tend to run a bit large - I'm usually a medium in exercise bottoms, but the small in these fits perfectly. I use them primarily for running (and am waiting on a second pair, since my regular running ... now drive me nuts with all that extra fabric), but they'd be great for any warm weather activity. I wouldn't be surprised if I end up with half a dozen pairs of these in my closet in the next year or two!

Great yoga ...
I really wanted the kickbooty capris to wear to yoga during the warmer months, but they're on backorder until the end of summer. I was super hesitant to try these ... because I'm 5'9, 150 lbs, with big hips and thighs and a butt that's definitely not my favorite part of my body. I was afraid that I'd look stuffed into these ... they'd be too revealing for all of the bending that goes on in yoga. As soon as I put them on though, I knew they'd be great. Don't get me wrong.. I still don't look like the super athletic models in the photos, but the fabric is thick and stretchy enough to shape pretty well(and it's soft too.. they feel cotton y instead of like typical stretchy workout wear). I got the size M and they hit about an inch and a half below my navel, flattening the tiny bit of tummy I have and not giving me muffin top at all. They are fairly short(not even mid thigh) but they're definitely long enough that I feel comfortable on my 3/4 mile walk to the studio and I don't feel like I'm wearing booty ... haven't noticed any sweat show through, and they definitely stay dry. I've only worn them twice so far but they seem well made.. we'll see how they hold up. I got them in asphalt, which might be just a little lighter than it looks in the photo, and now I want a black or pink pair as well.

i purchase one of these pair of ... because i love the "biker ... look......i am 5'8" tall, size 8, 135 pounds and ordered size md. just for reference......all i can say is i love them soooo much i have ordered atleast 5 more pair........and would buy more had they more colors available.....these ... FLATTER YOUR BUTT, are a nice weight (not too heavy and not too lightweight) , DON'T hug your stomach to the point that you get a muffin top, launder well and especially DON'T ride up your legs when you're wearing them........there are NO cons to these ... i've found.......to all the people that said they ride up your legs maybe you've ordered a size too small because i know when i order my racerback tank tops and if they're too small they will ride up my stomach?!........i run in these, walk in these and wear them everywhere and have pulled them down maybe two times at the most in twice as many months.......BUY THESE ... glad you did (so will your boyfriend/husband)........they make you feel very sexy wearing them!

These ... destined to become a favorite of mine during the summer months. I wear these running on the treadmill at the gym, and they don't ride up. They also wick away moisture so that you can't tell that your legs are sweating until you take the ... off. I was worried on ordering them that they would be too ... tight, but the 5' inseam is perfect for me (i'm 5'1 with ... legs). I was also worried that my regular size xs would be too small, but the ... seem to fit true to size and the rise of them is such that they don't create any muffin top. These ... comfortable and soft; I hardly feel as though I'm wearing them when I work out! The price for them is also good; I'm off to buy a few more pairs before they run out in my size.

I am always looking for ... have the perfect length to cover my rear plus and inch or two down my 38-year old thighs and that will stay in place. I've worn these ... during several different types of workouts and I have been pleased with their performance. I am 5'3" and 125 pounds and the size small fit well. The fabric was slightly less weight than I was expecting but ok. The flat waist design and seams are flattering to my shape. The compression keeps the ... place and provides good support but doesn't squeeze. I'm training for a marathon so I do a lot of running plus I hit the gym several times/week for crosstraining and theses ... have been perfectly versitile. Thumbs up!

I am a yoga enthusiast, and i do bikram yoga (hot yoga) regularly. these ... nice because they don't feel like they are dripping wet with sweat when you are wearing them, you only know how wet they are once they come off and you feel them, lol. also, the biggest thumbs up to these ... go to the fact that they do not rise and give you a thigh wedgie...or even a rear end wedgie..i have a pair of nike spandex ... ALWAYS do that. rather than thinking about your ... rising, think about yoga.

Good shorts for gym and yoga
These are great shorts for the gym and yoga at a reasonable price. I got them in every color (though pink is not really my thing) as good shorts are hard to find. I like the waistband a lot as I don't have to keep adjusting like many yoga shorts. I have muscular thighs and these shorts work really well without cutting off at the bottom. My only complaint is NO petite sizes. Athleta does a pretty good job at bringing petite pants and a few dresses. Why not ... Just because it's a ... doesn't mean it works for a ... person! (same with tops actually!) The length is a little longer than I would like, but with most things, as a petite person, you just have to put up with it as I'm not going to spend the money to alter fitness clothing. Otherwise, nice ... good quality fabric. Hoping Athleta will keep things in stock that get good reviews. They tend to sell something one season, sell out, and then move on to the next thing.

If I order another pair I maybe would order a size smaller to see if that helps the issue.

Athleta's were the only comparable ... could find. ... bit longer, which I ... wish the inside compression ... were tighter and the same color as the outside layer rather than white. The outside material clings some to the inside layer. I agree with a previous review that it would be nice if the outside layer was nylon. LOVE the fusion bermuda!
This is ... 2nd pair, and I'm about to order a 3rd in another color. ... first pair were the original fusion bermuda (a tad shorter) and so I was hesitant to order a 2nd when I saw that ... were updated with a slightly longer inseam. However, I was not disappointed--still as great as before! I am 5'0, 110 pounds (legs and torso proportionate, ... legs are on the larger/muscular side) and the XS is perfect for me! ... fit snug--not tight, ... not loose. I run in ... stay in place wonderfully. I even clip ... MP3 player onto ... don't pull, thanks to the comfortably snug waistband that stays in place. I also own the fusion ... (which are much shorter) in a XS as well as a Small. The size Small is a bit too big in the waist and does fall down when I run. I was even worried that the pockets would make ... already rounded rear look even bigger, ... think the pockets actually flatter the backside. Yay to awesome ... Order these--you won't be disappointed!

OMG! I absolutely love the Fusion Bermudas! I have not worn the item to exercise, yoga or ride in...I have used them for everyday! ... very flattering and fit extremely well. I am 5'6" and weigh 128. I usually wear a size 6 on the bottom and the medium Fusion fits great. It is not too tight or too loose. I love how this ... sits low on my waist and the above the knee length is perfect. I can dress ... up or down and the view from the backside is great...those pockets on the rear really add a touch and enhance the booty. I exercise daily and have an athletic build. My legs are a bit thicker and I have muscle tone...no stick legs here...and I love the loose fit of ... my thighs. I can see how ... would not look so good on a gal with skinny legs as it would be baggy. Just try them...order your normal size and go from there. I would love for the price to be lower ... wear ... until ... wear out! I am thinking about getting the shorter version for bosu/bench/circuit classes as those have a 5" inseam! Super soft & comfy!
I LOVE ... so super soft and comfortable (like a pair of thicker sweat pants), ... LOOK adorable & do not look like you're wearing gym ... around town. ... really are so so cute. ... want to put on at the end of the day, ... nice enough that you can wear them all day long. Best yoga/dance ...
I love ... Even at the price, I will surely buy more because I just do not find ... like very often and I could live in ... warm weather. I dance, teach yoga and pilates, and would wear ... all three and just around town running errands. (I pretty much live in workout clothes.) I wear a size 6 in pants normally and ordered the medium since other reviewers said ... run small, and I'd agree because the medium seems to fit great (where I have the Bettona Bermuda from Athleta in a small). ... do fit looser than the Bettona, though. I like the little pocket flaps on the back and don't really think ... add anything to your butt as others have said. (I do have a larger butt, too, compared to ... waist ... maybe I have just come to appreciate showing off ... curves.) If you want to look like you have a flat rear, probably not for you, ... if you like to show off curves (or are trying to create curves where you ... little), probably a good choice!

I was looking for something to run in that doesn't feel indecent. I'm thin and in good shape ... just prefer to be covered if at all possible (not an easy feat in running ... Rise is a litter lower than I prefer. ... shift a little while running, ... doesn't. Overall the ... look great and the pockets make them a little less casual than most yoga type ... fabric is nice and wicks well. ... run pretty true to most Athleta bottoms. I usually wear a 0/00 and ordered a XS ... could have probably used a XXS for a more snug fit.

I don't wear ... very often - usually just when I'm taking a hot weather holiday. My 47 year old legs need a little coverage in the upper thighs, and we often travel to countries where super ... would be inappropriate. ... fit the bill perfectly in terms of comfort, length and fit. I already have Chaturanga tights in Boysenberry, so I knew I would like the fabric and colour. ... comfy enough that I expect I'll wear ... more often to lounge around the house, run errands and on holidays. ... only minor complaint - as others have mentioned ... just a bit too wide at the leg opening. In the medium, if ... were just half an inch narrower they'd be perfect. It also would be great if ... came in some medium (not too light) colours, like a mid blue or light khaki.

Great ... rise toooooo low
I love the length of ... fabric, the colors, the pockets, even the waistband...but the rise is too low and it causes the ... ride in the front and the back. I thought maybe ... were too small ... don't think that's the problem. I've tried wearing them with thong underwear and that didn't help either. Maybe the fabric is too soft and moves too much? Whatever it is, I keep trying differnet things to make ... work becuase I do like them. I just fidget and pull at them a lot during workout which is distracting and makes me self conscious.

I had originally ordered a ... small, ... big. I sent those back and recieved as ... XS and it is perfect although, I do ... know why ... let the bottom of the hem on ... flare out. For shorter girls ... me, the hem needs to be sewn together at the ends. This is what I did actually and it gave me about two inches in height in view. When it flairs out at the end, it makes us shorter girls look chunky and stubby! by sewing the ends together it gave me the finished look I needed. Overall, ... made well, and worth the purchase, although, I will wait for ... go on sale next time, if ... ever do. I've never seen ... sale.

I am 5' 10" and 140 pounds. I do not usually wear ... shorts but wanted shorts to wear over my bathing suit while at the beach. I think these shorts are great. They washed well and they air dry quickly. I bought them because of the SPF and quick drying time... I am very pleased. Well made and very cute style. I really like the 4 pockets and the added touch of the draw string at the waist. I normally wear a size 6 or 8. I ordered the 6 and it fit just right. I wear these shorts for walks, runs, hikes, pool, beach.

Best shorts EVER!
I ordered these shorts as a cover up to a bathing suit I bought (which I also LOVE). As a petite, very athletic body, it is so hard for me to find shorts that fit right. I have a teeny waist, VERY muscular rear and quads. These shorts compliment my figure beautifully! I love the drawstring waist. At 5'2" the length is flattering. I ended up buying 2 more pairs. I wear them every day!!! Please keep making bottoms w/ a drawstring! LOVE these shorts!

The perfect pair of shorts for ... athletic women
I am 52 years old, 5'1", athletic, 130 lbs but muscular. I fit into a size 2. I read through the reviews and saw the trend of these shorts running on the large side. I usually take a 4, and these size 2's fit me like a 4 so take heed! These shorts are nothing but flattering even for a woman of my age. Most shorts are either too ... too long. I want to show off my legs but not hang out of my shorts, and these do the trick. You do have to have a rather flat behind, however, so be forewarned. I wish the other colors were available in my size!

Breeze ... Love These Shorts!
I love these shorts & ordered them in Black & Cargo as part of my first ever Athleta order. I bought them for a trip to Cabo, but now that I'm back in Austin, I find myself grabbing a pair of these shorts as my Go To Mom Uniform! I am just under 5'4", 127lbs, and the size 4 hangs nicely, but is a little looser on the waist than I expected. The shorts do have a bit of drawstring adjustment, in addition to the zip & double hook closure, so it works out fine- just wanted any readers to know that as a size 4 ... they won't likely be too tight. I wear these lightweight shorts to run errands, sit by the pool with kids, to supervise kids in Agility Class at school, and more... on my height, the ... hits a flattering part of the thigh, but not too ... I've gotten compliments on my legs recently, and I really think it's these shorts! Unassuming, but they lay flat & light, with flattering length! I flinched to think that I paid [$] a pair for these, but now that I know how much I wear them, I'm glad I splurged- they're not just for water!

Finally, shorts that fit!
Have trouble finding shorts that fit well that are not all stretch; needed something for when I am not teaching fitness, training outside on the bike or running, REAL clothes! Junior sizes too ... tight; not age appropriate, women's, too large! These will work well, ordered the bermuda length also. Love that Athleta caters to an athletic women's body type, which is not the norm in the stores.

Great shorts....(1) first...these shorts run really large. I wear a size 2 in other Athleta shorts but a 0 in these and the 0 still gives me room, (2) I am getting older and don't like my shorts clinging to my stomach...even with ordering the smaller size, these shorts do not cling to me and hug my child created belly. The shorts also have a tie to tighten them the way you like, (3) the material is really really comfortable, drys fast, and washes well, (4) the shorts have pockets, which are nice to have when you need them, (5) the colors are muted tones so they go with most any t shirt, (6) lastly, the shorts make you look good...they are slimming but not hugging.

Super Shorts!
I Love these shorts! The material is lightweight and the cut is flattering. These shorts will be great for everyday wear, but mostly for summer activities by the pool or at the beach. I'm at the beach a lot, so I like to have a pair of shorts to throw on over my suit that are lightweight, attractive, and comfortable. I walk my dogs on the beach, so the pockets come in handy for treats and pick up baggies. They are quick drying as well, so they'll be great to wear on the boat! I'm 5'3" and weigh 120 lbs and ordered a size 4 which fit perfectly, with a little room in the waist. The shorts fall on the hip more than on the waist, which is typically a more flattering look. The color blue is really pretty, but I'm sure I'll be ordering them in other colors as well!

New Favorite Shorts!
These shorts are fantastic! I frequently have problems finding shorts that are the right rise and don't restrict movement but are still flattering. These shorts are what I've been looking for! I love the stretch fabric, love the cut, love everything about these shorts. A real winner!! Horray!!

Cute shorts!
As a 5'4" woman with "athletic" thighs, these shorts are actually flattering! I have a very hard time finding shorts that make my legs look nice and actually swore off shorts for a few years. I'll be wearing shorts again this summer thanks to the Breeze Shorts!

Nice shorts but not the "right fit" for body type
I just recieved my shorts, orange size 6. This is my first purchase from Athleta. These shorts look like they are well made and have nice detail with zippered pockets and quality stitching. The orange color is nice and not too bright. I expected the waist to be low, which wasn't a problem. The shorts felt a tad big, so, I'll send back for a size 4. Even though I ordered these shorts according to the size chart, I just didn't know what to expect, since this was my first purchase. Now I know to order a size smaller. The length was as expected, but there was too much excess fabric in the leg area, which made shorts appear to bulge out too much. They just appeared too loose. I am not sold on the way these appear on me...maybe it's because the length is a bit on the shorter side for my leg type. My legs are average...not stick thin nor muscular. I hope the size 4 works. Soon to find out.

Water shorts
Was looking for a good quality, quick dry shorts to wear for recreational water activities such as canoeing, kayaking, wading, swimming -while covering up my 40+ year old (upper) thighs. The shorts are not swim shorts, so they do not have a liner. I my wore swim suit bottoms under the shorts. (to date) I have only wore the shorts once while kayaking. They were very comfortable, light, and fast drying. The waist was a little big, but the shorts have a draw string that allow you to cinch in the waist line for tighter fit. The nice thing about the shorts, is the type of material they are constructed with. When wet, it does not cling to your skin. So far I like the shorts and would recommend them to others.

I just got ... last night and LOVE them. ... fit perfectly. I ordered a pair of the 5" dipper ... well and I'm returning those because ... were totally unflattering on ... not so-flat belly. ... I was looking for a crisp white pair of ... last summer to replace an old pair, and never found one I found remotely attractive, so I gave up. I saw ... ordered them spur if the moment, ... afraid ... would be too ... just right, and fit just below ... natural waist, on ... upper hip. ... great drawstring laces inside if you want to make a bit more snug which does not cause bunching in the waist. Almost worked...
I love everything about this ... one more inch in length would make it more wearable for anyone over 35. It's flattering in the back, the legs opening is just wide enough without flaring, ... just slightly too ... me to feel comfortable sitting down. They're made to sit lower on the hips, ... crotch then is too low; there's an extra inch or two that's noticeable from the front. If the ... pulled up to where the inseam usually is in Athleta ... then the waist is too high and baggy, and the ... look like hotpants. One inch in the crotch and length would make all the difference.

Perfect fit!
Finally, ... fit! I ordered another pair I am so pleased. I've had so much trouble for the last few years finding ... don't gape way out in the back as I am 5'7" and a size 6 pear shape (I have a defined waist smaller than my hips) . I'm 46 and a mom of 3 so I don't want low rise ... fit just slightly below the waist so they are very comfortable and stylish, yet modest. They also have a flat drawstring on the inside that eliminates the very small gape ... have on me. Sometimes I tie it, sometimes I don't. I also like that ... can be rolled up twice for a shorter (yet still modest) look, or unsnapped and unrolled for more of a walking ... think they are more flattering rolled up, but I like the versatility.

I absolutely adore ... -- and I am not typically a ... type of gal! ... do seem to run a little bit big. I am 5'7", 127 lbs, and the 2 fits me perfectly with a little room to spare. If I wanted to wear them to look fitted/slightly tight (how I usually wear my clothes), they would be too big. But I bought them for hiking and traveling overseas, so a little extra room is perfect. This is my first time shopping at Athleta, but in the other clothes I bought, the 2 was usually too small and 4 fit well except ... 2 was perfect. They are not low cut but also not high waisted, and the fabric is really soft. I am about to order a second color. The zipper pockets are great if you have an ID, passport, hotel key, etc. to keep safe, and the little cargo pockets in front & back can carry non valuables or bigger stuff. I think the roll up is cute but I could see how it could make some women's legs rub together (this is not an issue with me). Rolled up they are ... enough for comfort but still have more than enough coverage of your butt/upper thigh. Overall, I am very pleased!

Great fit!
I purchased this ... my everyday usage. I llike the light cotton material. I have several dipper ... well, and I like them, but coastal cargo ... have more "cotton" like feeling. I am 5'5" so I will probablly not wear them without roll up the bottom, cause that might be a too long for me, but when it rolles up and snap, it is perfect, not too ... not too long. I can wear it for hiking, or to just go out and about in town.

Great Casual ...
Each summer I end up with mostly dressy ... nicer ... which leaves me without a good casual option. ... have the same cut and length as you would expect from 'nicer' ... but details that give them a more casual look - which I love. I am 5' 3", 120 pounds, slender build and ordered a size 4. I usually wear 4P's or 6P's.

Cargo ...
I love ... My only complaints are about the material and the adjustable leg length. The material needs to be different. I hate ironing and it goads me to have to iron hiking ... but if I don't the back pockets (cargo flaps) crinkle up after washing and stick out. My other complaint is about the roll up legs with snaps. I'm 5'3" and I *always* have to roll up my ... only roll twice before I reach the snap closure and, therefore, don't stay rolled. They should roll at least three times so they'll stay rolled up. Otherwise, ... very, very comfortable. The hike I wore them on involved harnesses at one point and the ... did great, covering all that they were supposed to cover. They're lightweight and I like the drawstring; it gives me a little extra security with the fit.

Comfortable, nice looking ... Sizing varies widely between colors
I first bought the pink ... sale in size 4 (which I typically wear). The description of semi fitted really doesn't apply for the ... got. They are quite roomy, which for someone with more athletic legs is usually not the case (I am 5' 3.5"; 120lbs). I liked them enough to buy the blue pair. The blue ... much more fitted, and almost seem like a size smaller. Both fits are still roomier than Athleta's typical semi fitted ... though. I like the intense pink, but it isn't for everyone. I also find the zipper pockets interesting and not cumbersome at all. Pockets are placed well so my thighs don't look bigger. I like the length with the cuffs rolled/snapped up; too long otherwise. I'm happy.

The perfect length
I am 5'1" and I have a hard time finding ... longer, but not too long. ... ones are great when you roll them up. They aren't nearly as cute when left long, even on a tall person I'd say. Plus they have a draw string on the inside so they are always a snug fit in the waist - even on hot days when they seem to stretch out a little. The only thing about ... don't like as much are the zippered pockets. They are a heavy metal which make it difficult to get in and out of them and are though on the hands and nails. Do NOT wear ... get a manicure! That being said, I love ...

Nice Fitting ...

I have ... made from same material and they last for a long time, dry quickly when they get wet(think board ... travel great as they are light weight.If ... come in another color, I may get tham too I bought the blue shade. The zipper pockets are a bit scratchy on the hands, but they come in handy if you're using them for outdoor activities. I liked the ... so much I ordered a pair in green for my upcoming vacation. Unfortunately it took over 10days to receive the ... got them the afternoon before I left. I was happy for that, but the 4 I ordered turned out to be more like a 14!!! I'm a young at-heart traveller trapped in a ... slightly overweight fifty year-old body. I was looking for ... little flare to the leg for comfort and to flatter my figure. ... great for that. Also wanted pockets so I could avoid carrying a purse. I loved the zipped pockets for travel--passport and small wallet in one and cell phone in the other. No need to dig (or carry) in a purse for essentials. Rise was as expected but is low for me. Too big in the waist but that is usually problem for me. Drawstring helps. I found that the ... fit when I put them on in the morning but they stretch out of shape (and sag) by the afternoon. I used the drawstring to hold them up. The light weight fabric is great for travel and hot climates but I'm not sure how it will hold up to wear and washing.

LOVE these ...
I have a tough time finding ... like. I decided to try these (even though they are expensive for ... am very happy I did. I got the dark olive color, and it is a very rich color, almost a cross between olive and brown -- great color, will match a lot of different colored tops. They are a very comfortable fit (I find sometimes that ... hug my booty a little too tightly). They are also a good rise -- not too low. They are a sturdy material, a little on the thick side, but hold their shape very well. The silver loops on the waist are super cute. I am usually a pretty solid size 4, which is what I ordered. They are perfect for what I was looking for. They may run slightly larger than sized, but are extremely comfortable for every day ... I'll wear these until it is freezing cold outside, then will gladly pull them out again in the spring. I think I'm going order another color. I love the detail Athleta puts on little things, like the clear buttons on the pockets and the waist with a floral logo. These ... seem to be very well made. Side pockets are not too bulky (I always worry about that with cargo ... really cute and also functional. I am 5'6 and these are about 3 inches above my knee.

love these ...
I bought these ... haystack color, which is really cool, sort of a mustardy yellow. But I liked them so much I also got the olive, which is a nice brownish green color. The fabric is very soft and comfy, but rugged enough for hiking and sitting on rocks. Love the length--just above the knee. The ... fit really well and don't look at all dowdy, which is how most bermudas look on me. I bought them in a 4, my usual size, and they are a little loose; I suppose I could have fit into a 2, but I don't like ... tight (like I do jeans). And, I can always tighten up the drawstring if I want them tighter. All in all, a great pair of ... (Btw, I bought them on sale, but these ... worth the original price.)

The perfect ...
I bought a pair of these ... few years back and then couldn't find them again in the catalog. Luckily, they brought them back - only softer (must be the organic) now. I am 5'8 with fairly long legs, and I do think the old ones are a bit longer ( fit at the knee - as these go just above) but I do love these ... Apparently, others do too, as people ask me all the time where I purchased them! I dry everything, so I will say they do shrink a bit. I have ordered both sizes 8 and 10 and wear them all -- depending on how loose and low I want them to sit on the hips. The fun colors allow you to dress them up or down; they are my "go to" ... all else fails!

I love these ... love the nice bright summer color. I bought them because I love my Kick It pants and wanted a pair of ... Both the pants and ... super comfortable and have great features like lot's of pockets, the inner draw string cord to get the perfect fit and the funky belt loops that add a nice touch of style. The ... pants are perfect for everyday wear. I do not use them for exercising since they are made of pretty heavy cotton but on cooler dyays they would be ideal for a walk in the woods or beach. One inconsistency is the sizing. They run generous. I bought the pants in size 2 and they fit just right but size 2 in the ... huge so I had to exchange for the next size down. I was worried the next size down would be too small or a little tight but they are plenty generous in the fit. I LOVE both the pants and the ... Maybe try a size smaller than you usually wear in the ...

AWESOME ...
Let me preface this review with "I am not a ... person!" Yet, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these ... ordered the kickit ... skirt thinking that I was going to like the skirt more -but these ... awesome! They're comfortable in all the right places! The pocket on the leg adds some character to the ... doesn't add much bulk at all (no feared saddlebags). The length is right above the knee. The drawstring is much needed - I love that about a lot of Athleta pants! (I miss it when other pants don't have them!) I purchased 3 pairs I liked them so much - white, olive and blue. I'm a smaller size in the ... than I am in the skirt (but I think that the waist in the skirt is on the smaller side.)

Alright! Finally, the perfect ...
I have been looking for ... no avail.....until now. These are great! I am a pear body, 5'4", 122 lbs, almost 40, and these are a perfect fit. I have been looking all over for something like this. I plan on ordering them in a different color (I got the bluish colored ones). It is nice, they are not teeny bopper ... but not old lady ... either. They don't gap in the back - a rarity these days, and even have a draw string in the inside in case this is a problem for some. Thank you Athleta!

Love the length
Finally a pair of ... think look good on me. Either you find ... frumpy ... These ... perfect for a 40 year old. They are sporty and I love where they hit me on the waist. I normally wear a medium, size 4 in these ... fit perfectly. I do a lot of yard work so the pockets are great to hold miscellaneous tools.

If you''re active, you need these ...
I wore these ... first time the other day at Disney World. Since I don't like to carry my whole purse into the park with me, I am usually stressing out about where I am going to out my "Disney World essentials" (money, cards, phone, etc.). With these ... didn't have to worry about a thing! There were so many pockets and compartments and the pockets at the side snap shut, so there is no worry about stuff falling out. Most importantly, they were comfortable! We walked the parks for 8 hours and the ... were awesome the entire time. When I first got them, I thought the fabric felt a bit heavy but it is not an issue when you wear them. These will probably become my "go to" ... any outdoors activities from now on!

Comfortable ... long though
I like these ... now that I have the correct size. I think if I had truly followed the fit chart I would have ordered a size larger than normal. Then I read other reviews prompting that the ... ran large, but I ordered too small. In the end I ordered the size I typically wear. These ... long and I wish petite size was offered. Otherwise I'm happy now and the ... very comfortable. I also like the style and details of snaps. For me size 8 for a 5'2" 134lb lady worked well for me.

Great ...
I am truly surprised by how much I like these ... Just as the other reviews have said, this is pretty pricey, but the ... great! They are made of a quality fabric. I do have junk in my trunk so I need extra room in the back and was concerned that a size 12 would be too big in the waist, since I am a true size 11. But the 12 fit nicely. These will be my go to ... everyday comfort wear. Lots of great pockets for plane travel too. Although the ... expensive, they are definitely worth it. I would spend the money on another pair, different color.

I've had the dipper pants for years now, ... still ... feel ... perfectlly, with ... bit of stretch, back pockets strategically placed to avoid VPL (visible panty lines!), and the leg pocket is big enough for a cell phone. ... crisp looking, ... flatterin!.These ... other Athleta clothes are the SUPERSTARS of ... closet!

I ordered ... read reviews about fitting small, ... ordered a ... 10 minutes. What the reviewers did ... take into account was the fact that the material will stretch quite a bit as it is worn. I started with decent fitting ... ended with ... could be taken off without unzipping. I think I should ... stuck with ... regular ... Hoping that ... shrink a bit each time ... washed and dried, because ... looking ... going to try a ... smaller ... another color.

I first became hooked on ... Dipper pants in late winter/early spring. As the weather warmed ... ordered the Bermuda length Dipper ... arrived, I discovered that unlike the ... pants, the ... felt tight around ... hips and waist. ... ordered the next ... fabric is light and the color selection is ... summer months. ... pack ... hiking and if it rains, ... dry ... quickly. I will be hiking in Maine later this summerr, ... ordering a second or maybe even a third ... trip!

I ... hard time finding ... because often the waist is ... big and the thighs ... tight. ... perfectly! I usually ... 0 or 1 at Gap. The stretchy, lightweight fabric makes ... REALLY ... trim silhouette which is ... flattering. The legs are neither tight (even when sitting) or ... loose and flappy. ... might make a little noise when walking, ... really don't think I'll notice. The pockets are stylish and practical and don't add bulk. I know I'll end ... wearing ... versatile ... all the time this summer!
