Can''t wait to buy more colors
I absolutely love these pants. They fit me perfectly and feel great. BUT, the reason they fit perfectly is that they are stretchy all over. I've noticed that ALL Athleta pants have a mid rise. This is just not practical for many who do not have the idealized body in the picture. I would love to see some pants that have a rise that is higher. Remember, there is a HUGE population of Baby Boomers out there just dying to have flattering quality clothing. Reality check. You have to spend a lot of time to have a body that most of Athleta pants are designed for if you are over 50. Give us a break. We've earned our flaws and are now into loving our bodies. I am an active person. I call myself aunt chubby in jest, but I am not 5'4" and 110 lbs. That is a 20 year old. How about some clothing modeled by your average tummy!
Love these pants. They fit perfect on my less than perfect bottom half. Very flattering and material is comfortable and cool. I ordered both small and medium to try out and kept the small and now have 3 pairs. Wear them to work almost everyday! Normally I'd wear a size 5-6. They keep their shape and color (I hang them to dry) so I can keep wearing at the 5 star retirement community where I teach fitness all day. One of the security guards, a guy, even asked wear he could get some pants like these. I told him Athleta.... but warned him it was woman's clothing! ha! (They also work great for Zumba classes!)
Versatile pants
These are like a favorite yoga pant, only with cargo pant details and and a looser fit. I wear these when I want to wear something comfortable that looks like a casual pant and not like you just came from the gym! The ties at the bottom of the pants are a little strange, when tightened it gives them the look of a harem pant (good for me since I am a dancer!) I am 5'11" and the long is a little too long for me, perhaps because the pants are stretchy. Overall, I love these pants and I am saving to buy another pair! By the way, these are pants that will show underwear lines, so I always wear a thong with them...(don't you wish that were advertised when you go to buy clothing?!)
Love these pants
Every now and again you buy an item of clothing that will be worn for years instead of hanging in the closet. These pants are one of those purchases. The slightly looser fit is very flattering and slimming. The pants are as comfortable as sweatpants, but much tidier. I run my own business and I wear these on work days when I don't have to see clients. I got these in asphalt, but now i want them in every color. I'm 6,1 and usually a size 8, sometimes a 6.
Bettona Boyfriend pants rock!
I bought these to wear to yoga and yogalates, specifically for days I need to run errands, etc afterwards and don't want to change. These are hands down the best investment I have made in clothing in quite some time. They are attractive, functional and durable. Four other people in my classes have been so impressed with them that they are also ordering. The fabric is very breathable, and they are cut very true to size, since I usually wear a 4-6 and the small fit me perfectly. The drawstring at the ankle is a plus for people who need it just a tad shorter, or for rainy days when you want to cinch them up and tuck them into a rain boot later.
OK Pants
These pants are - ok. I expected a bit more from the reviews and price. The back pockets are too small and set weird which is not flattering on anyone, no matter how fit you are - something that a lot of clothing designers learned years ago. The material is thin and I consider it a little chintzy for the price. Otherwise they are fairly attractive and comfortable, I wear them for yoga and Pilates. Not going to return, but rather disappointed, definitely won't be my favorite pair of pants.
Love them! ...but beware of horrible manufacturing quality
I tried these on (I'm a size 14 and ordered the XL). Love them! So soft and comfortable and flattering. I noticed a stitching error on one of the front pockets, which meant I'd be exchanging them for another pair. Then a girlfriend wanted to see them, so before shipping them off, I showed them to her. After showing her the stitching defect, she promptly found several additional glaring stitching defects! I am so unhappy with the overall manufacturing quality of Athleta clothing. I have bought from Athleta repeatedly and have received garments over and over that should never have made it past even a cursory quality control check. Disappointing since Athleta brings such great concepts to activewear--but often poorly executed. At this price point, the quality should be spot on. If this garment had been without major defects, I would have given it 5 stars...
Not flattering because of pockets
I have a pair of the regular Bettona pants and they are great. I was excited to try these but unfortunately the pockets really broke up the lines, and were not flattering. Especially the front zipper pocket. I think these are great for a thinner person (Im size 14) or for sports, but for everyday active they are not an ideal choice. I will buy another pair of the regular Bettona pants.
