womens swim shorts - reviews

Coverage in all the right places.
This ... skirt is flattering for my bigger thighs and derriere. Thank you for the best ... suit I've had in years! I can wear the XL or the 1X, and they are true to size as compared to lycra shorts, etc. I'm about a size 18. The skirt is ... but hangs right to the edge of ideal coverage and flares in a nice way.

Not frumpy on me
I got the size XS based on the hips measurement on the size chart, and it fits well. I typically wear size S running shorts in major athletic brands, but XS works for me with this skirt and a pair of Athleta Splash ... shorts that I also bought. I debated between this skirt and the Splash skirt, and I'm glad I chose this one. The front of the waistband is flatter than on the Splash series. I don't mind the fluffy waist detail on the shorts (and I'm keeping the shorts, too) but I wanted something sleeker for the skirt. The ... looks sleek and sporty, not frilly or matronly. The rise is just right--low, but not too low. I'm pairing the ... running ... top, so a sporty appearance was what I wanted. I was afraid that the ... would be too long because I'm only 5'2", but it's just long enough to cover the tops of my thighs. The total outseam of the XS is just under 10.5 inches.

Love the fit and coverage
I love this bathing suit bottom! I just had a baby 4 months ago and needed a suit that would cover some unwanted stretch marks. This ... skirt did the job without feeling matronly! The length was perfect ( I am 5'1") and the brief inside the skirt fits perfectly as well. I was on the fence about getting a ... skirt (I usually get ... shorts), but I am glad I got these. I feel they make me look slimmer than wearing ... shorts. Very comfortable to wear too. I normally wear a size 4 or 6 pant and this medium size suit fits perfectly.

Cute Flippy ...
I bought this to match with one of the ... suit tops and also found it comfortable to wear around the house. Then I took it for a run. The length is perfect and this was a very feminine way to do a run. The opening in the leg is perfect for freedom of movement and the purple color is gorgeous. The coverage is perfect and I hope to enjoy this for many years to come though I've not even used it yet for the intended purpose, swimming!

Cute ...
Just received my ... am really pleased with it. It's a great combination of function and style- covering just right amount of the thighs while still looking stylish and cute. Not too ... not too long to look frumpy. Ordered it to go with the Serendipity Halter Tankini and looks great together. I ordered a medium ... small tankini and fit is good with both. Can't wait to test it out swimming this summer!

Nice change from the ... shorts
This ... skirt sits low on the waist - below the belly button. It's a different look than the ... shorts - skirt is more feminine and flattering. Cute with both tankini and bikini tops. I'm a size medium in Athleta ... bottoms (136 lbs, 5'8 in. tall) and this skirt was true to size. I got the black; will be coming back for more.

Cute and comfortable
I'm 5'6" but 135lbs and athletic build but I have a rather large hips/butt area for my height so I don't like to wear little bikini bottoms. I wore this ... Ikat Tie Halter Bikini and they looked great together. This cute ... fit well and covered up my rear. My husband even said it was sexy! The fit even stayed secure when it got wet, it didn't sag. I wore it snorkeling and kayaking and swimming in the pool and it stayed put well. Nice fabric. It was not on sale so I paid full price but it was worth it to feel comfortable and cute. I would definitely buy it again!

great ...
I wear this with either the shirendippity halter, vital ... shorts, or five palms tankini. Works great with all of them. A bit less sporty than the wildflower ... but still very cute and functional.

great fit, very flattering
finally I feel comfortable in a bathing suit. great fit. two suggestions to athleta: make the skirts with boyshorts instead of ... panty underneath skirt to avoid panty line bulge - I'm very thin but still have that problem area. also, the white should be DOUBLE LINED because when it's wet it looks paper thin which is the only reason for not giving it 5 stars. you can see the seams underneath and the tag and it's not as forgiving against any problem areas you are trying to keep undercover. You are still covered up because of the panty underneath but a double lining on the white skirt would be much more flattering. I didn't have this problem with the black skirt. ATHLETA, KEEP MAKING THIS SKIRT. I love it just as much as the oceanside ... shorts!

... skirt covers just the right amount on the bottom. the biggest drawback for me is that it doesn't have a drawstring or anyway to make the waist tighter. I have a smaller waist with larger thighs the larger size fits my hips and thighs but the waist is too loose for any amount of activity other than lounging in a chair. I have not decided if i am going to keep them or not. if they had an adjustable waist they would be perfect. also have the ... shorts which cover a little more than the skirt. the shorts probably cover another 2" of your thigh. it is really cute though, just wish i could make the waist tighter and more secure.

Not for me.
I'm 5'7' and 150 lbs. While I love the ... shorts, this skirt was all wrong. The top of skirt is very bulky for a tankini or other cover ups. The skirt is too ... if you are wanting to cover up your bottom. I'm at the age where a bikini is no longer an option but I love to ... skirt is not flattering at all for women wanting to look OK while not showing it all. If you have the body for it..... go for it.
