This is a great ... I'm extremely happy with it. The material and design are ideal for my active lifestyle. I also the love purple color and the pockets in the back! I have a particularly long torso and find that many of Athleta's tops are a bit too short. This ... ideal length for me. Thanks Athleta!
My new favorite running ...
This is an excellent ... I've always avoided bra tops because of my long torso. I don't like tops that creep up or are too short, showing of my middle. I bought this from Athleta because it came in Tall. The ... perfect. I am 5'9", 125 lbs. The Tall small is the perfect size. The material is high quality. It does not feel hot even on very hot days. I love the 2 deep back pockets. I can use this ... my long runs and carry my gels. My only regret is I could only buy 1 right now.
My new favorite running ...
This shirt has exceeded my expectations. It's longer than usual bra tops, which makes it more comfortable for higher impact sports. The bra is more supportive than any other bra ... have purchased - this is the first bra ... can wear on a run without additional support. The side pockets are deep enough that I do not worry about items bouncing out during a run. I was initially worried that they do not have closures on the pockets - but, it hasn't been an issue. The fabric is thicker than typical running tops, but the back mesh venting keeps me cool. Buy this shirt. I may buy 5 more.
Great plus size workout clothing
Yay for Athleta! Finally a company that has cool workout clothing for plus sized women in great colors. The PR ... great for my daily gym workouts and I look forward to trying your other plus sized tops as well. Thanks so much for energizing my workout!
Great workout ...
Love this ... Fits true to size and the length is perfect, not too short like a lot of tops and not to long. Has a nice built in support. I bought 2 more in other colors.
Great for triathlons!
I'm a six foot tall triathlete. I struggle to find tri tops that are long enough, and at 170 pounds (and after 3 large babies) I really do not like tri uniforms like our local club team has- they end up being crop top-ish on me and then I am not comfortable. I have to feel confident when I train and race, and this ... PERFECT for swimming, biking, and running! The two back pockets are big and angled; the ... very flattering and prettier than traditional tri tops. I paired it with my Orca tri shorts and hit the road yesterday for a test 18 mile bike followed by 1 mile run (then a half mile jog with my oldest child and the baby in the jog stroller). I will say that I have yet to test it in an open water swim (that will come on Tuesday) and my only concern is the bra area is not tight enough. When I am down in the aero bars, you defintely see straight down the cleavage (I may throw a sports bra on under it, but that would only be for looks, it was definitely supportive enough on the run and I'm a B/C) Otherwise, it was very comfy, no chafing, and the back pockets held my cell phone and gel pack nicely. It is PRETTY and it made me feel pretty! Highly recommend it!
Not the best for gals with DDs but otherwise a great ...
I usually wear either a medium or large in Athleta tops and tried a large in this one because it has an internal bra and I need the extra room there (34DD). The chest fit okay but the waist was baggy - a medium may fit better except I expect the chest would be too small. And because the ... wasn't designed for larger busts, if you fill out the ... too much then it ends up pulling the fabric away from the armholes, revealing your sports bra on the sides (I'd definitely be wearing a sports bra underneath for support). I love the color (ordered green) and the back pockets, but had to return this one. I'll try it in a medium just in case! Verdict: Athleta, please design some sport tops for DDs like you have done so wonderfully in the swim suit line!
great ... running
I am an avid runner and am always on the lookout for good running tops. I really like this one, and am considering buying one in another color. The pros: the fabric is good quality, the bra is stitcheed on so you do not have to spend 10 minutes every time you wash it trying to put the cups back into place, like some running tops with removable cups. I bought the Kelly green and the color is lovely. The cons: there is a slight headlight problem at times. It is also a bit long, although I suppose that is a preference issue. The reason I did not give it five stars is mainly because of the headlight problem (not major, but it is on the pricier side so I expect perfection!) I normally wear either an XXS or XS at athleta, and the XS fit fine.
i wish Athleta would class cup sizes for its fitted tops like this one
I really wish Athleta would include a range of ideal cup sizes for each of its fitted tops (for example, based on the other reviews here, this tank might rate as "fits B C cups best"- it's apparently not for either small or large breasted women)....cuz it's nearly impossible to tell how they will fit from the photos, and the return postage sure adds up. I am petite- 5'1"- but have a 36D bust, and find that many of athleta's fitted tops/dresses in my size (medium/10) are too small and/or too flattening in the bust. Too bad, because i'd love them if they would just fit! This one is an example- the medium is far too tight in the bust, causing my bazoomies to flatten AND spill out the sides, as well as there being a ripple at center neckline seam. Because i love the color and style of this ... am going to try the Large, but generally larges are too long/large elsewhere, since i'm petite.I know Athleta can't help that we're all different shapes, but it WOULD help if they had a rating system for tops like they do for the "rise" on pants...
Sizing Problems
Athleta has some great styled tops, however none of them ever fit me. I am, according to the size charts, a true 'small', but every size small is so tight in the bust that breathing is difficult. I have tried a 'medium' in various styles, however, the bust is still flattened and the tops gap a great deal under the arms. I really wish I could wear these tops - they really are nice!
Disappointing
I liked what I read. I am a plus size strong lady, and I wanted the colors. If these tops had been cut better to enclose the inevitable spread of plus size "girls", I would have kept the 2 I ordered. Unfortunately, the tops at least looked like I might spill out, and that made them unacceptable. Length and quality was fine, but accommodation to bust was not realistic for plus size, and plus size ladies, do yoga, spin, work out in gym etc. So, I am disappointed that I had to return 2 items.
