New Fave Skirt!
For sure going to order a second one- great skirt for work and play in cooler temps. The cord material is super soft, and the fit excellent. I usually wear an 8 in Athleta clothing, so that's what I ordered. The skirt is just *slightly* roomy on me, but that makes it very comfy and there's plenty of space for thick wool tights when needed. Thought it might be a little too "foofy" at the hemline, but it's not at all. Have nothing but positive comments...oh, except it does need a little iron coming out of the dryer...no big deal! Love it!
Too big for me
I'm 5' 5" and 127 lbs and the waist on this skirt was easily 1.5 inches to big. I almost always wear a size 4 which is what I ordered. So I would say this one is definitely running big. Lucky for me there's an Athleta store nearby, so I hope to exchange because the purple is a great color and I can see wearing this skirt a lot just around town with wool tights and winter boots. Might attract some dog hair...
Loved the look of this skirt, but found the fabric to be too thick and bulky. It stands out from your body and doesn't have any drape. I think if it were made from a thick jersey knit or thin wool fabric, it would have had a much more flattering fit. Also, the waist on this skirt was a bit high for my taste. The length was perfect. I will still wear it, but I prefer the skort version, as the fabric is much thinner.
